| 2 | Fischer-Tropsch synthesis over ruthenium-promoted Co/Al_2O_3 catalyst with different reduction procedures显示文摘The effect of reduction procedure on catalyst properties, activity and products selectivity of ruthenium-promoted Co/γ-Al2O3 catalyst in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) was investigated. Catalyst samples were reduced with different reduction gas compositions and passivated before being characterized by TPR and XRD techniques. Different activity and product selectivity analyses were also performed. These results showed that the catalyst dispersion, particle size, and the degree of reduction changed with different reduction gas compositions, which were resulted from the water partial pressures in reduction process that give varying degrees of interaction with the support. It has been suggested that the FTS activity of cobalt catalyst was directly dependent on the catalyst reducibility. | 5 | Hydrocarbon production rates in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis over a Fe/Cu/La/Si catalyst显示文摘The detailed kinetics of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis over an industrial Fe/Cu/La/Si catalyst was studied in a continuous spinning basket reactor under the conditions relevant to industrial operations. Reaction rate equations were derived on the basis of Langmuir-HinshelwoodHougen-Watson type models for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis based on possible reactions sets originated from the carbide, enolic and combined enol/carbide mechanisms. Kinetic model candidates were evaluated by the global optimization of kinetic parameters, which were realized by first minimization of multi-response objective functions with conventional Levenberg-Marquardt method. It was found that an enolic mechanism based model could produce a good fit of the experimental data. | 7 | Enhanced efficiency in Concentrated Parabolic Solar Collector(CPSC) with a porous absorber tube filled with metal nanoparticle suspension显示文摘In this study, effects of different nanoparticles and porosity of absorber tube on the performance of a Concentrating Parabolic Solar Collector(CPSC) were investigated. A section of porous-filled absorber tube was modeled as a semi-circular cavity under the solar radiation which is filled by nanofluids and the governing equations were solved by FlexPDE numerical software. The effect of four physical parameters, nanoparticles type, nanoparticles volume fraction(φ), Darcy number(Da) and Rayleigh number(Ra), on the Nusselt number(Nu) was discussed. It turns out that Cu nanoparticle is the most suitable one for such solar collectors, compared to the commonly used Fe_3O_4, Al_2O_3, TiO_2.With the increased addition of Cu nanoparticles all the parameters φ, Da and Ra shows a significant increase against the Nu, indicates the enhanced heat transfer in such cases. | 9 | A basal area increment model for individual trees in mixed continuous cover forests in Iranian Caspian forests显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop and test a new basal area growth model in mixed species continuous cover forests in northern Iran.Weanalyzed 421 core samples from 6 main species in the forest area to develop our growth model.In each plot,we measured variables such as total tree height(m),diameter at breast height(DBH)(cm)and basal area of larger trees as cumulative basal areas of trees(GCUM)ofDBH[5 cm.The empirical data were analyzed using regression analysis.There was a statistically significant nonlinear function between the annual basal area increment,as the dependent variable,and the basal area of the individual trees and competition as explanatory variables.Reference area from the largest trees,was circular plot with area of 0.1 ha.GCUM was estimated for trees of DBH>5 cm.Furthermore,we investigated the dependencies of diameter growth of different species on stand density at different levels of competition,and diameter development of individual trees through time.The results indicate that competition caused by larger neighborhood trees has a negative effect on growth.In addition,the maximum diameter increment is affected by competition level.Therefore,the maximum diameter increment of species occurs when the trees are about 35–40 cm in dense-forest(40 to 0 m^2 per ha)and when the trees are about 60 to 70 cm in very dense forest(60 to 0 m^2 per ha)which is more likely to Caspian natural forests with high level density due to uneven-aged composition of stands. | Nishtman Hatami Peter Lohmander Mohammad Hadi Moayeri Soleiman Mohammadi Limaei | 2020 | Journal of Forestry Research2020,31,1: | 0 |

| 11 | Effects of different gases on the performance of foams stabilized by Cocamidopropyl betaine surfactant and silica nanoparticles:A comparative experimental study显示文摘Application of CO_(2)gas in foam enhanced oil recovery(EOR)processes has emerged as a win-win strategy for achieving higher oil recovery factor and reducing greenhouse gas emission,which can significantly help the protection of the ozone layer from depletion.However,lower stability of CO_(2)-foam,as compared to the N_(2)-and CH_(4)^(-)foams,has tempted us to examine combinations of CO_(2)with these gases to not only improve the stability of the produced foam but also have CO_(2)as the gaseous phase of the foam.In this study,we investigated the effect of different gases and the mixture thereof on the performance of foams in EOR while the aqueous phase of foams is a constant mixture of Cocamidopropyl betaine surfactant(0.03 wt%)and silica nanoparticle(0.1 wt%).To this end,seven different gases,including N_(2),CO_(2),CH4,80%N_(2)^(+)20%CO_(2),80%CH_(4)^(+)20%CO_(2),50%CH_(4)^(+)50%CO_(2),50%N_(2)^(+)50%CO_(2)were used as the gases phase for foam generation and the performance of the produced foams were examined through the following experiments:bulk foam stability tests,apparent foam viscosity measurements and core flooding tests.The results of foam stability tests showed that half-life time for the CO_(2)-,CH_(4)^(-)and N_(2)-foams are 13.5,17.0 and 44.0 min,respectively.Also,as revealed from apparent viscosity measurements,the N_(2)-and 80%N_(2)^(+)20%CO_(2)foams have higher apparent foam viscosity values followed by 50%N_(2)^(+)50%CO_(2)foam.Furthermore,we showed that a combination of 80%N_(2)^(+)20%CO_(2)as the gaseous phase for foam generation could not only improve CO_(2)-foam stability,as compared to other foams,but also can substantially increase ultimate oil recovery(56.6%OOIP),even more than that for N_(2) foam(48.6%OOIP),obtained from core flooding experiments. | Masoud Hatami Alooghareh Atefeh Kabipour Mohamadhosein ghazavi Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi Sisakht Mehdi Razavifar | 2022 | Petroleum2022,8,4: | 0 |
