| 7 | A four parameter cubic equation of state with temperature dependent covolume parameter显示文摘A four-parameter, Ghoderao–Dalvi–Narayan 2 cubic equation of state(GDN2 CEOS), is presented which incorporates the following: 1. The experimental value of the critical compressibility factor has been used as a fixed input parameter for calculations;2. All the parameters(a, b, c, d) of CEOS are temperature dependent functions in the subcritical region and are temperature independent functions in the supercritical region and;3. A new α function is introduced with two compound specific parameters which are estimated by matching saturated vapor pressure at two fixed temperature points Tr= 0.5, 0.7. Our formalism enables us to cast three of the four parameters of the CEOS as a function of the remaining parameter. The proposed CEOS is used to predict properties of 334 pure compounds, including saturated vapor pressure and liquid density, compressed liquid density, heat capacities at the constant pressure and volume, enthalpy of vaporization, sound velocity. To calculate thermodynamic properties of a pure compound, the present CEOS require the critical temperature, the critical pressure, the Pitzer’s acentric factor, the critical compressibility factor, and two parameters of the alpha function. The saturated liquid density predictions for pure fluids are very accurate when compared with GDN1(Ghoderao–Dalvi–Narayan 1),MPR(Modified Peng–Robinson), and PT(Patel–Teja) equations of state. Unlike MPR EOS, the proposed temperature dependent covolume parameter b in the present work satisfies all the constraints mentioned in the literature to avoid thermodynamic inconsistencies at the extreme temperature and pressure. Using van der Waals one-fluid mixing rule, the present CEOS is further used to predict bubble pressure and the vapor mole fraction of binary mixtures. | Pradnya N.P.Ghoderao Vishwanath H. | 8 | Urea-assisted hydrothermal synthesis of MnMoO_(4)/MnCO_(3)hybrid electrochemical electrode and fabrication of high-performance asymmetric supercapacitor显示文摘Transition metal molybdates/carbonates and hybrid nanomaterials have attracted great attention in energy storage applications because of their enriched redox activity, good electronic conductivity, and stable crystallinity. We synthesize a multicomponent MnMoO_(4)/MnCO_(3)hybrid by a one-step hydrothermal method with urea as the reaction fuel.By controlling only the urea concentration in the initial precursor solution, the MnMoO_(4)/MnCO_(3)molecular ratio is controlled effectively, which is found to have a profound effect on the electrochemical properties of the hybrid electrodes. The electrochemical measurements show that the specific capacitance of MnMoO_(4)/MnCO_(3)hybrid is 1311 F/g,the energy density of 116.8 Wh/kg,and power density of 383 W/kg at a current density of 1 A/g with 79%capacitance retention over 5000 cycles. The fabricated asymmetric supercapacitor device exhibits good energy storage performance, including the specific capacitance of 97 F/g along with the energy density of 26.5 Wh/kg and the power density of 657 W/kg at a current density of 1 A/g and good reversibility with capacitance retention of 85%after 2000 cycles and 70%over 5000 cycles. The increase in the energy density of 900%with a mere 60%decrement in the energy density indicates its potential superior applications in high-power devices. | Mohan Reddy Pallavolu Arghya Narayan Banerjee Ramesh Reddy Nallapureddy Sang W.Joo | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,1: | 0 |
| 9 | Status of carbohydrate, protein and lipid profile in the mosquito larvae treated with certain phytoextracts显示文摘Objective:To investigate the impact of the most potent petroleum ether extract of Artemisia annua(A.annua) and Azadirachta indica(Az.indica) on total carbohydrate, lipid and protein level of Anopheles stephensi and Culex quinquefasciatus larvae. Methods:Mosquito larvae were exposed to the extracts selected as per standard WHO procedure.Carbohydrate(glucose),total lipid and protein were estimated by the methods as Nelson,Bragdon and Lowry described, respectively. Results:The glucose levels were increased to 27.87%and 46.8%,respectively in anopheline larval tissues after treatment with petroleum ether extract of A.annua and methanolic extract of Az.indica.In culicine larvae, glucose levels were reduced to 58.96%and 24.65%, respectively. After treatment with A.annua extract, lipid contents in anopheline and culicine larvae decreased by 28.57%and 25.0%,respectively and increased by 14.29%and 50.00%in the Anopheles and Culex larvae, respectively after treatment with methanolic extract of Az. indica.Total protein levels were reduced to 63.13%and 92.62%in anopheline and to 32.39%and 48.12%in culicine larvae after treatment with A.annua and Az.Indica extracts, respectively. Conclusions:Two extracts produce significant alterations in the biochemical pr of iles of anopheline and culicine larvae.Further, the impacting factors of extracts on carbohydrate, lipid and protein contents of larvae are species and specific extraction. It indicates the disturbed metabolic activity of the larvae. | Preeti Sharma Lalit Mohan Kamal Kumar Dua Chand Narayan Srivastava | 2011 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,4: | 0 |
