| 1 | Comparison of Histological, Microbiological, and Molecular Methods in Diagnosis of Patients with TBLN Having Different Anti-TB Treatment Background显示文摘Objective The influence of anti-tuberculosis(TB) treatment history on tuberculous lymphadenitis(TBLN) diagnosis is unclear. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the diagnostic methods, including histology, microbiology, and molecular tests, used for TBLN. Methods In this study, suspected patients with TBLN and having different anti-TB treatment background were enrolled. All the samples were tested simultaneously by histology, Ziehl-Neelsen(ZN) staining, mycobacterial culture(culture), Xpert MTB/RIF(xpert), real-time PCR, and high-resolution melting curve PCR(HRM). Thereafter, the performance of these methods on samples with different anti-TB treatment background was assessed. Results In our study, 89 patients were prospectively included 82 patients with TBLN and 7 with other diseases. The overall sensitivities of Xpert, real-time PCR, histology, ZN staining, and culture were 86.6%, 69.5%, 58.5%, 43.9%, and 22.0%, respectively. The anti-TB treatment history revealed dramatic influences on the sensitivity of culture(P < 0.0001). In fact, the treatment that lasted over 3 months also influenced the sensitivity of Xpert(P < 0.05). However, the treatment history did not affect the performance of remaining tests(P > 0.05). For rifampicin drug susceptibility test(DST), the anti-TB treatment showed only significant influence on the success rate of culture DST(P = 0.001), but not on those of Xpert and HRM tests(P > 0.05). | 4 | Genetic dissection of wheat uppermost-internode diameter and its association with agronomic traits in five recombinant inbred line populations at various field environments显示文摘Uppermost-internode diameter(UID)is a key morphological trait associated with spike development and yield potential in wheat.Our understanding of its genetic basis remains largely unknown.Here,quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for UID with high-density genetic maps were identified in five wheat recombinant inbred line(RIL)populations.In total,25 QTLs for UID were detected in five RIL populations,and they were located on chromosomes 1A,1D(3 QTL),2B(2),2D(3),3B,3D,4A,4B(3),4D,5A(5),5B(2),6B,and 7D.Of them,five major and stable QTLs(QUid.sau-2CN-1D.1,QUid.sau-2SY-1D,QUid.sau-QZ-2D,QUid.sau-SC-3D,and QUid.sau-AS-4 B)were identified from each of the five RIL populations in multiple environments.QUid.sau-2CN-1D.1,QUid.sau-2SY-1D and QUid.sau-SC-3D are novel QTLs.Kompetitive Allele Specific PCR(KASP)markers tightly linked to them were further investigated for developing near-isogenic lines(NILs)carrying the major loci.Furthermore,candidate genes at these intervals harboring major and stable QTLs were predicted,and they were associated with plant development and water transportation in most cases.Comparison of physical locations of the identified QTL on the‘Chinese Spring’reference genome showed that several QTLs including two major ones,QUid.sau-2CN-1D.1 and QUid.sau-2 SY-1 D,are likely allelic confirming their validity and effectiveness.The significant relationships detected between UID and other agronomic traits and a proper UID were discussed.Collectively,our results dissected the underlying genetic basis for UID in wheat and laid a foundation for further fine mapping and map-based cloning of these QTLs. | LIU Hang TANG Hua-ping LUO Wei MU Yang JIANG Qian-tao LIU Ya-xi CHEN Guo-yue WANG Ji-rui ZHENG Zhi QI Peng-fei JIANG Yun-feng CUI Fa SONG Yin-ming YAN Gui-jun WEI Yu-ming LAN Xiu-jin ZHENG You-liang MA Jian | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Agriculture2021，20，11： | 1 |

| 6 | Metabolic enzyme gene polymorphisms predict the effects of antioxidant treatment on idiopathic male infertility显示文摘To explore the relationship between genetic polymorphisms of metabolic enzymes such as CYP1A1,CYP2D6,GSTM1,GSTT1,and GSTP1 and idiopathic male infertility.By observing the efficacy of antioxidants in the treatment of idiopathic male infertility,the effect of metabolic enzyme gene polymorphisms on antioxidant therapy in patients with idiopathic male infertility was prospectively studied.This case-control study included 310 men with idiopathic infertility and 170 healthy controls.The cytochrome P4501A1(CYP1A1),cytochrome P4502D6(CYP2D6),glutathione S-transferase M1(GSTM1),glutathione S-transferase T1(GSTT1),and glutathione S-transferase P1(GSTP1)genotypes in peripheral blood samples were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).The idiopathic male infertility group was treated with vitamin C,vitamin E,and coenzyme Q10 for 3 months and followed up for 6 months.GSTM1(-),GSTT1(-),and GSTM1/T1(-/-)in the idiopathic male infertility groups were more common than those in the control group.The sperm concentration,motility,viability,mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP),and seminal plasma total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)level in patients with GSTM1(-),GSTT1(-),and GSTM1/T1(-/-)were lower than those in wild-type carriers,and the sperm DNA fragmentation index(DFI),8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine(8-OH-dG),and malondialdehyde(MDA)and nitric oxide(NO)levels were higher.Therefore,oxidative damage may play an important role in the occurrence and development of idiopathic male infertility,but antioxidant therapy is not effective in male infertility patients with GSTM1 and GSTT1 gene deletions. | Hong-Yan Zhang Yi Mu Pan Chen Dong-Dong Liu Ke-Hang Chen Qi Yu Jun He Fa Sun Jun-Ping Xing Kai-Fa Tang | 2022 | Asian Journal of Andrology2022，24，4： | 1 |
| 7 | Bilateral Hardy-type Inequalities显示文摘This paper studies the Hardy-type inequalities on the intervals (may be infinite) with two weights, either vanishing at two endpoints of the interval or having mean zero. For the first type of inequalities, in terms of new isoperimetric constants, the factor of upper and lower bounds becomes smaller than the known ones. The second type of the inequalities is motivated from probability theory and is new in the analytic context. The proofs are now rather elementary.
