2A novel facial emotion recognition scheme based on graph mining显示文摘Recent years have seen an explosion in graph data from a variety of scientific,social and technological fields.From these fields,emotion recognition is an interesting research area because it finds many applications in real life such as in effective social robotics to increase the interactivity of the robot with human,driver safety during driving,pain monitoring during surgery etc.A novel facial emotion recognition based on graph mining has been proposed in this paper to make a paradigm shift in the way of representing the face region,where the face region is represented as a graph of nodes and edges and the gSpan frequent sub-graphs mining algorithm is used to find the frequent sub-structures in the graph database of each emotion.To reduce the number of generated sub-graphs,overlap ratio metric is utilized for this purpose.After encoding the final selected sub-graphs,binary classification is then applied to classify the emotion of the queried input facial image using six levels of classification.Binary cat swarm intelligence is applied within each level of classification to select proper sub-graphs that give the highest accuracy in that level.Different experiments have been conducted using Surrey Audio-Visual Expressed Emotion(SAVEE)database and the final system accuracy was 90.00%.The results show significant accuracy improvements(about 2%)by the proposed system in comparison to current published works in SAVEE database.Alia K.Hassan Suhaila N.Mohammed 2020Defence Technology(防务技术)2020,16,5:1

4Enhancing Heavy Crude Oil Flow in Pipelines through Heating-Induced Viscosity Reduction in the Petroleum Industry显示文摘The process of transporting crude oil across pipelines is one of the most critical aspects of the midstream petroleum industry.In the present experimental work,the effect of temperature,pressure drop,and pipe diameter on the flow rate of heavy crude oil have been assessed.Moreover,the total discharge and energy losses have been evaluated in order to demonstrate the improvements potentially achievable by using solar heating method replacing pipe,and adjusting the value of the initial pressure difference.Crude oil of API=20 has been used for the experiments,with the studied pipelines sections connecting the separator unit to the storage tank operating at a temperature of 25℃-100℃,pressure drop of 3,4,5,and 6 kg/cm^(2),and with pipe diameter of 4,6,and 8 in.The results show that on increasing the temperature and/or the pressure drop,the flow rate through the pipeline becomes higher,thus raising the total pumping energy(as the pipe diameter increase),while energy losses increase from the last separator to the storage tank in the field.A pipe diameter increase can also produce a growth of the total pumping energy(i.e.,energy losses increase).The results of the present analysis suggest that employing an optimal temperature(50℃)is needed to ensure good performance.Ramzy S.Hamied Anwar N.Mohammed Ali Khalid A.Sukkar 2023Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2023,19,8:0
5Greywater Management in Bahraini Schools, Jaw School-Case Study显示文摘The greywater management by treating and reusing is an important issue to provide a new source of water that will not cost as much as using clean water.In general,the water demand in the world is increasing with the increased population,thus it can lead to a water crisis.To reduce the effect of this problem,greywater treatment system can be applied.The greywater in schools is gone to waste every single day,so to provide a logical,cheap and effective solution to manage this problem is to treat and reuse greywater in irrigation,since it does not necessarily need clean water.The aim of this manuscript is to manage and reuse the greywater to reduce the water crises,design an economical greywater system that will act as an investment to the school,and decrease the pressure on sewage system.The paper also aims to identify the wastewater characteristics generated from schools.Therefore,three samples of greywater from water basins and three samples from the kitchen were collected to test and analysis.The analysed parameters are BOD(Biochemical Oxygen Demand),COD(Chemical Oxygen Demand),pH,SO4,TDSs(Total Dissolved Solids),Cl,turbidity,Ca,Mg,NO3 and TH(Total Hardness).The results showed that,the samples collected from the basins are in the accepted range,however the samples of the kitchen have a higher concentration in SO4,BOD,turbidity and nitrate,therefore the greywater generated from the kitchen has been excluded from the greywater system.In terms of the cost,the results indicated that the payback cost could be returned in three years.Nagib Ghaleb N.Mohammed Mariam Almajed Safa Albeladi Fatima Mohammed 2020Journal of Environmental Science and Engineering(A)2020,9,1:0
