2The Intervention Effect of Rosiglitozone in Ovarian Fibrosis of PCOS Rats显示文摘Objective To explore the Intervention effect of Rosiglitozone in ovarian fibrosis of PCOS rats.Methods 60 female SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:control group,model group and treatment group.The model and treatment groups were established by subcutaneous injection of DHEA,while the treatment group was given RGZ.The serum hormone values,pathohistology of ovarian structure of rats,ovarian ultrastructure and the expressions of TGF-β 1 and CTGF were detected.Results The PCOS model was established successfully.The expression intensity of TGF-β 1 and CTGF in Oocytes of the PCOS groups was 9.545±2.954 and 9.665±2.400,respectively and was significantly higher than that of the control group 6.636±2.264 and 7.036±2.133;after treatment with rosiglitazone,the expression was significantly decreased 6.980±2.421 and 6.642±2.721 as compared with that of the model group (P<0.05,P<0.001).The values in serum of the PCOS groups were 3.749±2.054 and 0.265±0.129,and 1.914±1.801 and 0.096±0.088 in the control group which had statistically significant difference (P<0.05,P<0.001).After treatment with rosiglitazone,the values were 2.3100±1.825 and 0.112±0.187 and were significantly different with those of the model group (P<0.05,P<0.001).Conclusion TGF-β 1 and CTGF play an important role in the development of ovary fibrosis in PCOS.However,RGZ may postpone the development of fibrosis by decreasing the levels of TGF-β 1 and CTGF.MIAO Zhu Lin GUO Liang WANG Yong Xia CUI Rong YANG Ning HUANG Mi Qiong QIN Wei Bing CHEN Jin LI Hong Mei WANG Zi Neng WEI Xiang Cai 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,1:14

4A flow cytometer based protocol for quantitative analysis of bloom-forming cyanobacteria(Microcystis) in lake sediments显示文摘A quantitative protocol for the rapid analysis of Microcystis cells and colonies in lake sediment was developed using a modified flow cytometer,the CytoSense.For cell enumeration,diluted sediment samples containing Microcystis were processed with sonication to disintegrate colonies into single cells.An optimized procedure suggested that 5 mg dw(dry weight)/mL dilution combined with 200 W × 2 min sonication yielded the highest counting efficiency.Under the optimized determination conditions,the quantification limit of this protocol was 3.3×10 4 cells/g dw.For colony analysis,Microcystis were isolated from the sediment by filtration.Colony lengths measured by flow cytometry were similar to those measured by microscopy for the size range of one single cell to almost 400 μm in length.Moreover,the relationship between colony size and cell number was determined for three Microcystis species,including Microcystis flos-aquae,M.aeruginosa and M.wessenbergii.Regression formulas were used to calculate the cell numbers in differentsized colonies.The developed protocol was applied to field sediment samples from Lake Taihu.The results indicated the potential and applicability of flow cytometry as a tool for the rapid analysis of benthic Microcystis.This study provided a new capability for the high frequency monitoring of benthic overwintering and population dynamics of this bloom-forming cyanobacterium.Quan Zhou Wei Chen Huiyong Zhang Liang Peng Liming Liu Zhiguo Han Neng Wan Lin Li Lirong Song 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,9:5

7Generation of strong magnetic fields with a laser-driven coil显示文摘As a promising new way to generate a controllable strong magnetic field, laser-driven magnetic coils have attracted interest in many research fields. In 2013, a kilotesla level magnetic field was achieved at the Gekko XⅡ laser facility with a capacitor–coil target. A similar approach has been adopted in a number of laboratories, with a variety of targets of different shapes. The peak strength of the magnetic field varies from a few tesla to kilotesla, with different spatiotemporal ranges. The differences are determined by the target geometry and the parameters of the incident laser. Here we present a review of the results of recent experimental studies of laser-driven magnetic field generation, as well as a discussion of the diagnostic techniques required for such rapidly changing magnetic fields.
