| 1 | Selective sorptive removal of Methyl Red from individual and binary component solutions by mesoporous organosilicas of MCM-41 type显示文摘Organosilicas with chemically immobilized 3-aminopropyl and Methyl Red-containing surface groups were prepared by sol-gel condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate and(3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane in the presence of dye as part of the mixed micelles or dyecontaining silane as silica source.The hexagonally arranged mesoporous structure of synthesized materials was confirmed by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption-desorption,xray diffraction,and TEM studies.Chemical composition of MCM-41-type organosilicas was established by FT-IR spectroscopy and chemical analysis of surface layer.Sorption of Methyl Red by organosilicas was studied from diluted phosphate buffer solutions in dependence of medium p H,duration of contact,and equilibrium concentration of dye.It was found that effective removal of Methyl Red takes place at p H values within a range of 2.5-5.Kinetic curves of Methyl Red sorption on organosilicas were analyzed by the Lagergren,Ho-McKey,and Weber-Morris kinetic models.It was found that the pseudo-second-order model fits the kinetics of Methyl Red sorption on all synthesized materials and the intraparticle diffusion is not the only one mechanism controlling the rate of Methyl Red sorptive removal.The parameters of equilibrium sorption of Methyl Red on organosilicas of MCM-41 type were calculated using Langmuir,Freundlich,Redlich-Peterson,and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller models.Sorption of acid dyes with geometry similar or substantially different from Methyl Red on mesoporous silicas was studied from single and binary component mixtures in aqueous solutions with p H 4.8 and 5.5.It was found that selective sorption process is highly dependent on the structural characteristics and protolytic state of silica surface as well as acid dye. | Nadiia V.Roik Lyudmila A.Belyakova Marina O.Dziazko | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1: | 3 |
| 2 | Characteristics of clear cell renal cell carcinoma metastases to the thyroid gland: A systematic review显示文摘BACKGROUND Thyroid gland is an uncommon site for metastases from clear cell renal cell carcinoma(CCRCC)and literature is scarce.Due to the variable and often long lag time before development of metastases in patients with CCRCC,thyroid nodules may be misdiagnosed initially as benign.This systematic review aims at a better understanding of the nature of these metastases.METHODS A bibliographic search was performed using PubMed(1990-2019),key words being“renal cell carcinoma,thyroid,kidney cancer,clear cell.”147 cases were analyzed.The patient’s characteristics assessed were:age,sex,stage,size of metastases,lag time,diagnostic modality,initial symptoms,treatment and outcome in last documented follow up.Binary logistic regression,Spearman’s rho and ANOVA were used to identify differences between the existing variables.RESULTS The mean age(±SD)was 64±(10)years in males and 64(±11)in females.The mean lag time to diagnosis of thyroid metastases was 8.7(±6.3)years.Gender distribution of the patients was 46.3%male,52.4%female.There was a weak correlation between lag time and size of metastases,not statistically significant.Size of metastases was significantly higher in symptomatic patients(6.06±3.51 cm)compared to those with painless mass(4.6±0.29 cm)and asymptomatic ones(3.93±1.99 cm)(P=0.03).Fine Needle Aspiration was diagnostic in 29.4%of cases,47.1%were non diagnostic.Most patients(80.3%)underwent thyroid surgery.At 1 year follow up,55.6%of patients operated were alive versus 35.3%who did not have surgery,though this was not statistically significant(P=0.1).CONCLUSION A larger size of thyroid metastasis was more likely to present with symptomatology.A high index of suspicion is warranted when evaluating thyroid nodules in CCRCC patients.There was no significant difference in outcome between patients who underwent surgery and those who did not.With the wider use of immune check-point inhibitors and tyrosine kinase inhibitors in metastatic CCRCC,surgery may eventually be reserved only for palliative purposes. | Karam Khaddour Nadiia Marernych Wendy L Ward Jerry Liu Theodora Pappa | 2019 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2019,7,21: | 1 |

| 5 | The research objectives and observational possibilities for fast moving near-Earth asteroids显示文摘The paper describes observations of fast-moving near-Earth asteroids(NEAs) made with the small ground-based telescopes of National Time Service Center of Chinese Academy of Science(NTSC of CAS) and Research Institute 'Mykolaiv Astronomical Observatory'(RI MAO) by the rotating-drift-scan CCD(RDS CCD) technique. This technique is used to obtain the point images of both the studied objects and reference stars. The results of ongoing follow-up observations of NEAs are discussed. The residual differences(O-C) between the observed and calculated positions from JPL ephemeris were generally small for these asteroids. The standard deviations of these differences were typically ±(0.2′′-0.3′′) in both coordinates for objects with apparent velocity which substantially exceed FWHM for the given exposure time. The results of comparative statistics for such observations from the MPC database show that this is a good level of precision for NEAs. | 6 | Plasma-Enhanced Atomic Layer Deposition of Amorphous Ga_(2)O_(3) for Solar-Blind Photodetection显示文摘Wide-bandgap gallium oxide(Ga_(2)O_(3))is one of the most promising semiconductor materials for solar-blind(200 nm to 280 nm)photodetection.In its amorphous form,amorphous gallium oxide(a-Ga_(2)O_(3))maintains its intrinsic optoelectronic properties while can be prepared at a low growth temperature,thus it is compatible with Si integrated circuits(ICs)technology.Herein,the a-Ga_(2)O_(3) film is directly deposited on pre-fabricated Au interdigital electrodes by plasma enhanced atomic layer deposition(PE-ALD)at a growth temperature of 250°C.The stoichiometric a-Ga_(2)O_(3) thin film with a low defect density is achieved owing to the mild PE-ALD condition.As a result,the fabricated Au/a-Ga_(2)O_(3)/Au photodetector shows a fast time response,high responsivity,and excellent wavelength selectivity for solar-blind photodetection.Furthermore,an ultra-thin MgO layer is deposited by PE-ALD to passivate the Au/a-Ga_(2)O_(3)/Au interface,resulting in the responsivity of 788 A/W(under 254 nm at 10 V),a 250-nm-to-400-nm rejection ratio of 9.2×10^(3),and the rise time and the decay time of 32 ms and 6 ms,respectively.These results demonstrate that the a-Ga_(2)O_(3) film grown by PE-ALD is a promising candidate for high-performance solar-blind photodetection and potentially can be integrated with Si ICs for commercial production. | Ze-Yu Fan Min-Ji Yang Bo-Yu Fan Andraz Mavric Nadiia Pastukhova Matjaz Valant Bo-Lin Li Kuang Feng Dong-Liang Liu Guang-Wei Deng Qiang Zhou Yan-Bo Li | 2022 | Journal of Electronic Science and Technology2022,20,4: | 0 |

| 8 | Response of soil macrofauna to urban park reconstruction显示文摘This study is based on a park in an industrial city in Ukraine.In 2019,a 2.8 ha area of the park was reconstructed.The park’s reconstruction aimed to create a comfortable environment for visitors and to improve the efficiency of ecosystem services,and thereby enhance the quality of life of citizens.The reconstruction of the park was found to cause changes in the physical properties of soils and the structure of the soil macrofauna community.The increases of soil compaction in the layers at depth 5-20 cm and the soil electrical conductivity were a consequence of technological operations during reconstruction.The park reconstruction activities can also explain 29% of the variation in the soil macrofauna community.Extracting the variation induced by the park reconstruction from the community variation induced by other causes was a major challenge.The specific changes in the community of soil macrofauna following the reconstruction of the park were revealed.The abundance of soil animal species A.rosea,A.trapezoides,H.affinis,H.rufipes,B.affinis was found to increase after the reconstruction.The earthworm A.trapezoides decreased in abundance due to the park reconstruction. | Olexander Zhukov Olga Kunakh Nadiia Yorkina Anna Tutova | 2023 | Soil Ecology Letters2023,5,2: | 0 |
