3Circular RNA circ-LDLRAD3 as a biomarker in diagnosis of pancreatic cancer显示文摘AIM To analyze the diagnostic value of a circular RNA(circR NA), circ-LDLRAD3, in pancreatic cancer.METHODS Expression levels of circ-LDLRAD3 were tested in both cells and clinical samples; the latter included 30 paired pancreatic cancer tissues and adjacent non-tumorous tissues, 31 plasma samples from patients with pancreatic cancer, and 31 plasma samples from healthy volunteers. Real-time quantitative reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR) was performed to measure expression levels of circ-LDLRAD3 in cells and clinical samples; then, the relationship between clinicopathological factors of patient samples and expression of circ-LDLRAD3 in pancreatic cancer was analyzed. The diagnostic value of circ-LDLRAD3 was verified by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis.RESULTS Circ-LDLRAD3 was up-regulated in pancreatic cancer cell lines(P < 0.01), pancreatic cancer tissues(P < 0.01), and plasma samples from patients with pancreatic cancer(P < 0.01). High expression of circLDLRAD3 was significantly associated with venous invasion, lymphatic invasion, and metastasis. 4MicroRNA-663 induces immune dysregulation by inhibiting TGF-β1 production in bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are critical for immune regulation.Although several microRNAs(miRNAs)have been shown to participate in autoimmune pathogenesis by affecting lymphocyte development and function,the roles of miRNAs in MSC dysfunction in autoimmune diseases remain unclear.Here,we show that patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)display a unique miRNA signature in bone marrow-derived MSCs(BMSCs)compared with normal controls,among which miR-663 is closely associated with SLE disease activity.MiR-663 inhibits the proliferation and migration of BMSCs and impairs BMSC-mediated downregulation of follicular T helper(Tfh)cells and upregulation of regulatory T(Treg)cells by targeting transforming growth factorβ1(TGF-β1).MiR-663 overexpression weakens the therapeutic effect of BMSCs,while miR-663 inhibition improves the remission of lupus disease in MRL/lpr mice.Thus,miR-663 is a key mediator of SLE BMSC regulation and may serve as a new therapeutic target for the treatment of lupus.Linyu Geng Xiaojun Tang Kangxing Zhou Dandan Wang Shiying Wang Genhong Yao Weiwei Chen Xiang Gao Wanjun Chen Songtao Shi Nan Shen Xuebing Feng Lingyun Sun 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,3:16
5Singularity Analysis of a 3-RPS Parallel Manipulator Using Geometric Algebra显示文摘Singular configurations must be avoided in path planning and control of a parallel manipulator. However, most studies rarely focus on an overall singularity loci distribution of lower-mobility parallel mechanisms. Geometric algebra is employed in analysis of singularity of a 3-RPS parallel manipulator. Twist and wrench in screw theory are represented in geometric algebra. Linear dependency of twists and wrenches are described by outer product in geometric algebra. Reciprocity between twists and constraint wrenches are reflected by duality. To compute the positions of the three spherical joints of the 3-RPS parallel manipulator, Tilt-and-Torsion angles are used to describe the orientation of the moving platform. The outer product of twists and constraint wrenches is used as an index for closeness to singularity(ICS) of the 3-RPS parallel manipulator. 9Effects of premedication with Pronase for endoscopic ultrasound of the stomach: A randomized controlled trial显示文摘AIM To analyze the effects of premedication with Pronase for endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) examination of the stomach.METHODS This was a prospective, randomized and controlled clinical study. All patients were randomly assigned to either the Pronase group or placebo group. The pretreatment solution was a mixed solution of 20000 U of Pronase and 60 m L sodium bicarbonate solution in the Pronase group, while an equal amount of sodium bicarbonate solution was administered to the placebo group. All operators, image evaluators and experimental recorders in EUS did not participate in the preparation and allocation of pretreatment solution. Two blinded investigators assessed the obscurity scores for the EUS images according to the size of artifacts(including ultrasound images of the gastric cavity and the gastric wall). Differences in imaging quality, the duration of examination and the usage of physiological saline during the examination process between the Pronase group and the control group were compared.RESULTS No differences existed in patient demographics between the two groups. For the gastric cavity, the Pronase group had significantly lower mean obscurity scores than the placebo group(1.0476 ± 0.77 vs 1.6129 ± 0.96, respectively, P = 0.000). The mean obscurity scores for the gastric mucosal surface were significantly lower in the Pronase group than the placebo group(1.2063 ± 0.90 vs 1.7581 ± 0.84, respectively, P = 0.001). The average EUS procedure duration for the Pronase group was 11.60 ± 3.32 min, which was significantly shorter than that of the placebo group(13.13 ± 3.81 min, P = 0.007). Less saline was used in the Pronase group than the placebo group, and the difference was significant(417.94 ± 121.38 m L vs 467.42 ± 104.52 mL, respectively, P = 0.016).CONCLUSION The group that had Pronase premedication prior to the EUS examination had clearer images than the placebo group. 16Deterministic and Stochastic Simulators for Non-Isotropic V2V-MIMO Wideband Channels显示文摘In this paper, we consider a novel two-dimensional(2D) geometry-based stochastic model(GBSM) for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V) wideband fading channels. The proposed model employs the combination of a two-ring model and a multiple confocal ellipses model, where the signal is sum of the line-of-sight(Lo S) component, single-bounced(SB) rays, and double-bounced(DB) rays. Based on the reference model, we derive some expressions of channel statistical properties, including space-time correlation function(STCF), Doppler spectral power density(DPSD), envelope level crossing rate(LCR) and average fade duration(AFD). In addition, corresponding deterministic and stochastic simulation models are developed based on the reference model. Moreover, we compare the statistical properties of the reference model and the two simulation models in different scenarios and investigate the impact of different vehicular traffic densities(VTDs) on the channel statistical properties of the proposed model. 17Microstructural and textural evolutions in multilayered Ti/Cu composites processed by accumulative roll bonding显示文摘Ti/Cu multilayered composites were fabricated via accumulative roll bonding(ARB). During codeformation of the constituent metals, the hard Ti layers necked preferentially and then fragmented with the development of shear bands. Transmission electron microscopy showed that with increasing ARB cycles, grains in Ti were significantly refined even though dynamic recrystallization has occurred. For Cu the significant grain refinement was only found within the shear banded region when the composite was processed after five ARB cycles. Due to the diffusion of Cu atoms into Ti at the heterophase interfaces, amorphization with a width less than 10 nm was identified even in the composite processed by one cycle. At higher ARB cycles, the width of amorphous region increased and intermetallic compounds CuTi appeared from the region. The lattice defects introduced at the heterophase interfaces under roll bonding was responsible for the formation of the nano-scaled compounds. X-ray diffraction showed that an abnormal {1120} fiber texture was developed in Ti layers, while significant brass-type textures were developed in Cu layers. Some orientations along the {1120} fiber favored the prismatic < a> slip for Ti.Tensile tests revealed the elevated strength without a substantial sacrifice of ductility in the composites during ARB. 19Acupuncture Combined with Early Enteral Nutrition on Patients with Postoperative Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration:A Prospective Randomized Trial显示文摘Objective To assess the efficiency of acupuncture combined with early enteral nutrition(EEN)in patients with postoperative laparoscopic common bile duct exploration.Methods A total of 200 patients with postoperative laparoscopic bile duct exploration was randomized using sealed envelopes and assigned to the convenitional,EEN,acupuncture plus convenitional and acupuncture plus EEN groups,50 cases in each group.Twelve hours after operation,the patients in EEN groups began to receive oral enteral nutrition,and the acupuncture approach was performed by acupuncturist in acupuncture plus conventional and acupuncture plus EEN groups.Acupuncture was given at Zusanli(ST 36),Shangjuxu(ST 37)and Xiajuxu(ST 39)with a depth of 15–20 mm,using the lifting-thrusting and twisting method to obtain Deqi sensation.The needles were maintained for 30 min.Treatment was given once daily,3 times per section.After the intervention,the patients’characteristics,operation time,bleeding volume,postoperative time to first anal exhaust,postoperative complications including abdominal distension,diarrhea,gastric dilatation,intestinal obstruction,pharyngodynia,incision,abdominal and pulmonary infection and postoperative hospitalization days were assessed and compared in patients among 4 groups.Results Postoperative time to first anal exhaust in the convenitional group was longer compared with the other 3 groups(P<0.05),and was shorter in the acupuncture plus EEN group than those of the convenitional,acupuncture plus convenitional and EEN groups(P<0.01).The acupuncture plus EEN group showed significant decrease in the incidence of complications and less postoperative hospitalization days compared with the other groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There was no readmission.Conclusion After laparoscopic bile duct exploration,acupuncture combined with EEN treatment significantly improves the patients’gastrointestinal function,reduces complications,and shortens postoperative hospitalization days.YUAN Hai-cheng XIANG Qi ZHANG Nan QIN Wei-jing CAI Wang 2020Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2020,26,10:5
