1New collision detection method for simulating virtual plant populations显示文摘Detecting and resolving the collision of organs between different plants or the collision of different organs of a single plant are key issues in the realistic construction of a virtual plant population.A suitable collision detection scheme is necessary to prevent a reduction in realism caused by organ penetration.A mixed bounding volume tree construction scheme based on the growth characteristics of tomato plants is proposed in this paper,and the construction mode of the bounding at all levels is simplified by using a digital tomato model.Using a parallel GPU approach,we designed a tomato plant population collision detection program with CUDA acceleration.The proposed method reduces the total collision detection time by 92%-96%.Weilong Ding Zangxin Wan Yan Xu Nelson Max 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:2

9Optimization method to obtain appropriate spacing parameters for crop cultivation显示文摘Considering the time-consuming and tedious work of the current methods to control plant layout,which is mostly based on expert experience or field trials,we propose an algorithm to optimize and simulate a planting layout based on a virtual plant model and an optimization algorithm.A functional-structural plant model,which combines the structure and physiological function of plants,is used to construct a planting scene.The planting and row spacing are set as the genetic factors and the chromosomes of the genetic algorithm are encoded with a binary method.The photosynthetic yield of the unit planting area is denoted as the fitness value.By using this method,the intercropping of maize and soybean plants and the sole cropping of rice plants are studied.Experimental results show that the proposed method can obtain a high yield planting plan.Weilong Ding Chengcheng Fan Lifeng Xu Tao Xie Yang Liu Zangxin Wan Nelson Max 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,1:0
10Temporal and spatial anti-aliasing for rendering reflections on water waves显示文摘The reflection of a bright light source on a dynamic surface such as water with waves can be difficult to render well in real time due to reflection aliasing and flickering.In this paper,we propose a solution to this problem by approximating the reflection direction distribution for the water surface as an elliptical Gaussian distribution.Then we analytically integrate the reflection contribution throughout the rendering interval time.Our method can render in real time an animation of the time integrated reflection of a spherical light source on highly dynamic waves with reduced aliasing and flickering.Namo Podee Nelson Max Kei Iwasaki Yoshinori Dobashi 2021Computational Visual Media2021,7,2:0
11作物栽培适宜间距参数的优化方法显示文摘针对目前植物布局的控制方法大多基于专家经验或田间试验。尽管专家的经验模型简单、实用,但是它往往针对的是某特定地区的某些品种,而对其它地区则不适用,因而普适应性较差。而传统的田间试验方法也往往针对有限的几个品种,更换品种后需要重做试验,导致这种方法相当耗时且工作繁琐。针对这些问题,该文提出了一种基于虚拟植物模型和优化算法的植物布局优化模拟算法。该方法采用功能结构植物模型,将植物的结构和生理功能结合起来,构建了一个种植场景。以作物种植的株距和行距为遗传因子,采用二进制编码方法对遗传算法的染色体进行编码。以作物单位种植面积的光合产量作为适应度值来评价个体的优劣。利用该方法对玉米-大豆间作和水稻单作进行了研究。试验结果表明,该方法可以获得高产栽培方案。丁维龙 范诚诚 徐利锋 谢涛 刘洋 万臧鑫 Nelson Max 2020农业工程技术2020,40,18:0
