1Yield and Nicotine Content of Flue-Cured Tobacco as Affected by Soil Nitrogen Mineralization显示文摘Nitrogen(N)supply is the most important factor affecting yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco(FCT).A field experiment and an in situ incubation method were used to study the effects of soil N mineralization in the later stages of growth on yield and nicotine content of FCT in Fenggang and Jinsha,Guizhou Province.The yield and market value of FCT at Fenggang were much lower than those at Jinsha.However,the nicotine content of middle and upper leaves was much higher at Fenggang than at Jinsha when the same rate of fertilizer N was applied,which might be due to a higher N supply capacity at the Fenggang site.At later stages of growth(7-16 weeks after transplanting),the soil net N mineralization at Fenggang(56 kg N ha^(-1))was almost double that at Jinsha(30 kg N ha^(-1)).While soil NH_4-N and NO_3-N were almost exhausted by the plants or leached 5 weeks after transplanting,the N taken up at the later growth stages at Fenggang were mainly derived from soil N mineralization,which contributed to a high nicotine content in the upper leaves.The order of soil N contribution to N buildup in different leaves was:upper leaves>middle leaves>lower leaves.Thus,soil N mineralization at late growth stages was an important factor affecting N accumulation and therefore the nicotine content in the upper leaves.JU Xiao-Tang CHAO Feng-Chun LI Chun-Jian JIANG Rong-Feng P. 3Structure and Property of Bamboo Fiber显示文摘The chemical composition, fiber characteristics, crystalline structure, mechanical properties and thermal behavior of the five species of bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis cv.Pachyloe, Bambusa tootisk, Arundinaia amabilis, B.vulgaris cv. Vittata, and Dendrocalamus affinis) were studied with IR, X-ray, DSC and chemical analyses. The results indicated that the benzene-ethanol extractive content of bamboo was higher than that of wood, the content of lignin and the content of pentosan were 19.1% - 25.3% and 14.9% - 22.6%, respectively. Except for Ph. edulis cv. Pachyloe, the cellulose content in the other 4 species was over 50%. The average length of fiber of D. affinis was the longest (1.861 mm). The length/ width ratio of bamboo fiber was also higher than that of wood, and it was the highest for B.tootisk, which reached 142. The results of IR and X-ray confirmed that crystalline structure of bamboo fibers was cellulose, and A. amabilis had the highest crystallinity index. The differential thermal analysis (DSC) can be one of the methods to identify various fiber materials. After steam explosive pretreatment, cellulose content of D. affinis had increased from 50.5% to 69.2%, the crystallinity index had increased and the breaking tenacity of bamboo fibers was suitable for producing textile products, indicating that steam explosion is an useful pretreatment for bamboo fibers made into composite materials and textiles.JIANG Jianxin1 YANG Zhongkai2 ZHU Liwei1 SHI Limin2 YAN Lijie1 1. 4Stratigraphy and TL Dating of Paleolithic Sites in the Luonan Basin,China显示文摘Between 1995 and 1999 the Longyadong cave site and 50 open air Paleolithic sites were investigated and excavated in the Luonan Basin of China. A total of 1?751 stone artifacts were collected from open air sites, and fossils from about 20 animal species as well as 65?000 lithic artifacts were excavated from the cave site. This paper provides a preliminary study of site lithic stratigraphics in their geological context as well as the results of thermoluminescence (TL) dating. The TL dates of five soil samples place the sites into the middle to late period of the Middle Pleistocene (Q 2 2—3 ). Upon further taking into account strata relationships, three cultural periods were identified in Longyadong cave. When compared with the TL dates and stratigraphy from Zhoukoudian Locality 1, loess deposits in Shaanxi Luochuan, red earth in Anhui and deep sea records, Longyadong is in the range of 500—250 kyr, approximately the same timeframe as Zhoukoudian Locality 1.WANG She jiang(Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, Xi’an, P. 6Effect of 1-MCP on Senescence and Decay of Vegetable Soybean Pods During Storage显示文摘The effects of 1-MCP on decay and senescence in vegetable soybean pods during storage were in-vestigated. Treatments with 0.5,1, or 2 μl L-1 1-MCP significantly inhibited the senescence process of harves-ted vegetable soybean pods, as manifested in lower levels of ethylene production, respiratory rate, MDA andsuperoxide contents and higher levels of SOD, ASA-POD activities, Vc and chlorophyll contents. 8Synthesis and Lubrication of Phosphorylcholine Derivative显示文摘The monomer of phosphorylcholine derivative, O-(5-(2-methacryloxy)-3, 3-dimethyl-3-azapentyl)-O’-(ω-hydroxy-octyl)-phosphatequaternary ammonium salt, was designed and synthesized successfully. It was characterized by the spectra of ~1HNMR and Mass spectra (ESI+), and every signal was assigned. Then the lubricating characteristics of the phosphorylcholinederivative were investigated on the tribological setup of ball-oh-flat. The Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene(UHMWPE) flat was rotated against a stainless steel ball with 6 mm diameter. The load was 2.3 N, which corresponded to amaximal Hertz contact pressure of 29 MPa. Water, phosphorylcholine derivative, and Acrylic Acid (AA) solution were used aslubricants, respectively. Compared with AA, the phosphorylcholine derivative shows significant lubrication. It can be stronglyhydrated under water due to the charged segment in chemical structure. 12A study on controlled cooling process for making bainitic ductile iron显示文摘In the present research, TTT curve of bainitic ductile iron under the condition of controlled cooling was generated. The cooling rate of grinding ball and its temperature distribution were also measured at the same time. It can be concluded that the bainitic zone of TTT curve is separated from the pearlitic zone. As compared to the water-quenching condition, more even cooling rate and temperature distribution can be achieved in the controlled cooling process. The controlled cooling can keep away from pearlitic zone in the high temperature cooling stage and produce similar results to the process of traditional isothermal cooling with a low cooling rate in the low temperature cooling stage.~*Y. 13Interactions of Heavy Metal Ions with Paddy Soils as Inferred from Wien Effect Measurements in Dilute Suspensions显示文摘Interactions of three heavy metal ions, Cu2+, Cd2+, and Pb2+, and, for comparison, Na+ with electrodialytic clay fractions (less than 2μm in diameter) of four paddy soils as well as a yellow-brown soil as a control soil were evaluated based on measurements of the Wien effect in dilute suspensions with a clay concentration of 10 g kg-1 in four nitrate solutions of 2×10-4/z mol L-1, where z is the cation valence, and a nitric acid solution of 3×10-5 mol L-1.Field strengths ranging from 15 to 230 kV cm-1 were applied for measuring the electrical conductivities (ECs) of the suspensions. The mean free binding energies between the various cations and all of the soils determined from exchange equilibrium increased in the order: Na+ < Cd2+ < Cu2+ < Pb2+. In general, the ECs of the suspensions in the sodium nitrate solution were smaller than those of the suspensions in the heavy metal solutions because of the lower electrophoretic mobility of sodium compared to the divalent cations. In terms of relative electrical conductivity-field strength relationships, relative electrical conductivity (REC) of suspensions containing various cations at field strengths larger than about 50 kV cm-1 were in the descending order: Na+ > Cu2+ > Cd2+ > Pb2+ for all tested soils. 14LUCC and Accompanied Soil Degradation in China from 1960's to 1990's显示文摘This paper tries to qualitatively analyze land use and cover changes (LUCC) and accompanied soil degradation in China, the data of World Atlas of Agriculture in 1969, Land Cover Data of Asia in 1992 and Global Assessment of Human Induced Soil Degradation in 1992, etc. have been used. From 1960' s to 1990's, the area of forestland had increased, arable land and paddy as well as grassland had significantly decreased in China. The major type of soil degradation is due to water erosion, which is widely distributed especially in Loess Plateau and in Southeast and Southwest China, this happened in forestland, grassland and arable land and mainly resulted from deforestation. The secondary type is wind erosion, which is mainly distributed in Northwest China, it happened in arable land and grassland and was caused by overgrazing. Chemical deterioration is distributed in North and Northwest China, which happened in paddy, arable land and grassland. Physical deterioration only concentrated in local area in North China, it happened in arable and paddy. Chemical and physical deteriora-tion mainly resulted from unreasonable activity. 15A New Signal Processing Technique of π/4-DQPSK Modem Based on Software Radio显示文摘DQPSK modem has been chosen as the modem scheme in many mobile communication systems. A new signal processing technique of π/4-DQPSK modem based on software radio is discussed in this paper. Unlike many other software radio solutions to the subject, we choose a universal digital radio baseband processor operating as the co-processor of DSP. Only the core algorithms for signal processing are implemented with DSP. Thus the computation burden on DSP is reduced significantly. Compared with the traditional ones, the technique mentioned in this paper is more promising and attractive. It is extremely compact and power-efficient, which is often required by a mobile communication system. The implementation of baseband signal processing for π/4-DQPSK modem on this platform is illustrated in detail. Special emphases are laid on the architecture of the system and the algorithms used in the baseband signal processing. 18Comparison Between AFLP and RFLP Markers in Detecting the Diversity of Rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘AFLP and RFLP were used to study the diversity of 20 rice cultivars. 15 primer combinations were used in the AFLP analysis and 47 - 118 bands were amplified in each lane. A total of 107 polymorphic bands were detected in the RFLP analysis using 49 RFLP probes. The cluster analysis based on RFLP data showed that 20 rice cultivars could be divided into an indica group and a japonica group, as did the AFLP data; however AFLP is more suitable in detecting the difference of pedigree and ecotype among the 20 cultivars.The genetic distance based on AFLP and RFLP data showed the same tendency, but AFLP markers increased the measure of genetic distance among intra-subspecific cultivars and decreased the measure of genetic distance among inter-subspecific cultivars relative to RFLP markers. 19Validation and Scenario Analysis of a Soil Organic Carbon Model显示文摘A model developed by the authors was validated against independent data sets. The data sets were obtained from field experiments of crop residue decomposition and a 7-year soil improvement in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. Model validation indicated that soil organic carbon dynamics can be simulated from the weather variables of temperature, sunlight and precipitation, soil clay content and bulk density, grain yield of previous crops, qualities and quantities of the added organic matter. Model simulation in general agreed with the measurements. The comparison between computed and measured resulted in correlation coefficient γ2 values of 0.9291 * * * (n = 48) and 0. 6431 * * (n = 65) for the two experiments, respectively. Model prediction under three scenarios of no additional organic matter input, with an annual incorporation of rice and wheat straw at rates of 6.75t/ha and 9.0t/ha suggested that the soil organic carbon in Wanshi Township of Yixing City would be from an initial value of 7.85g/kg in 1983 to 6.30g/kg, 11.42g/kg and 13g/kg in 2014, respectively.
