| 2 | Prominent catalytic activity of mesoporous molecular sieves in the vapor phase dehydration of cyclohexanol to cyclohexene显示文摘Cerium incorporated KIT-6 mesoporous materials were synthesized through direct hydrothermal method and characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen sorption isotherm (BET), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), inductively coupled plasma -atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), diffuse reflectance ultraviolet visible spectroscopy (DRS-UV-Vis), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) methods. It appeared that stable cerium ions were inserted into the silica framework of KIT-6, thus generating acid properties in their host materials. The catalytic activity of Ce-KIT-6 materials was evaluated in the vapor phase dehydration of cyclohexanol to cyclohexene and dicyclohexyl ether at different temperatures with various Si/Ce molar ratios. Ce-KIT-6 (25) showed higher activity with 54% cyclohexanol conversion and 64% selectivity to cyclohexene. | 4 | ZSM-5沸石结晶度对乙苯叔丁基化对位选择性的影响(英文)显示文摘Highly crystalline ZSM-5 zeolites are important for para-selective alkylation of alkyl aromatics, because they carry few external acid sites for isomerization of p-dialkyl products. Such zeolites (Si/Al = 25, 50, and 75) were synthesized in a fluoride medium between pH 4 and 6. Their crystallinities, crystal sizes, and surface areas were higher than those of a commercial ZSM-5 zeolite. Their para selectivities in alkylation were tested for vapor-phase tert-butylation of ethylbenzene between 200 and 400 °C. As expected, all the catalysts showed more than 90% para selectivity. At 300 °C, ethylbenzene conversion decreased in the order ZSM-5(25, commercial) > ZSM-5(25) > ZSM-5(50) > ZSM-5(75). The catalysts had weak, medium, and strong acid sites, but all the acid sites of ZSM-5(75) were weaker than those of ZSM-5(25) and ZSM-5(50). The high activity of commercial ZSM-5 was caused by its strong acid sites being stronger than those of the synthesized zeolites. Although the activity of the commercial catalyst was higher than those of the present catalysts, the selectivity for 4-t-butylethylbenzene (4-t-BEB) was low. The optimum feed ratio (ethylbenzene:t-butyl alcohol) was 2:1 and the feed rate was 1.65 h?1 for high ethylbenzene conversion and 4-t-BEB selectivity. Time-on-stream studies showed slow catalyst deactivation. Highly crystalline ZSM-5 zeolites are therefore better than a commercial zeolite for para-selective alkylation of alkyl aromatics. They do not require much post-modification for high para selectivity. | 5 | Is bactibilia a predictor of poor outcome of pancreaticoduodenectomy?显示文摘BACKGROUND:Although bile infection has been proposed to increase infective complications following pancreaticoduodenectomy,its association with infective complications and non-infective complications like pancreatic fistula is still controversial.METHODS:Seventy-six patients who had undergone pancreaticoduodenectomy between July 2007 and December 2008 were included in a prospective database and their data analyzed.In all patients intraoperative bile from the bile duct was cultured.Preoperative,intra-operative,and post-operative variables were recorded and analyzed.RESULTS:Bile culture showed positive growth in 35 patients and negative growth in 41.Twenty patients in the positive group underwent ERCP and stenting.The patients with a positive bile culture had a higher incidence of infective complications including intra-abdominal abscess (n=8),wound infection (n=27),bacteremia (n=10),and renal insufficiency (n=9).There was no increase in the rate of non-infective complications of pancreaticoduodenectomy including pancreatic fistula (n=7),delayed gastric emptying (n=9),and post-operative hemorrhage (n=3).The hospital stay was significantly prolonged in the patients with a positive bile culture (P=0.0002).CONCLUSIONS:Pre-operative biliary drainage is significantly associated with bile infection,and bile infection increases the overall rates of infective complications and renal insufficiency.Because of the high incidence of complications is associated with infected bile,routine intra-operative bile culture is recommended in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy.Pre-operative prophylaxis is dependent on sensitivity of cases to perioperative antibiotics and intraoperative bile culture report.Because of its significant association with infected bile,biliary stenting should be used in strictly selected cases. | Sivanpillay Mahadevan Sivaraj Velayutham Vimalraj Palanichamy Saravanaboopathy Shanmugasundaram Rajendran Sathyanesan Jeswanth Palaniappan Ravichandran Rosy Vennilla Rajagopalan Surendran | 2010 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2010,9,1: | 2 |
| 6 | Al-MCM-48分子筛对苯酚与乙酸异丙酯异丙基化反应的催化性能(英文)显示文摘Al-MCM-48 molecular sieves (Si/Al molar ratios = 25, 50, 75, and 100) were synthesized hydrothermally using cetyltrimethyl-ammonium bromide as the structure directing template. The orderly arrangement of mesopores was evident from the low angle X-ray diffraction patterns and transmission electron microscopy images. The catalytic performance of the materials was evaluated in the vapor phase isopropylation of phenol with isopropyl acetate. Phenol conversion decreased with the increase in the Si/Al ratio of the catalysts. The major reaction product was 4-isopropyl phenol with 78% selectivity. The delocalization of phenolic oxygen electron pair over the aromatic ring promoted para-selective alkylation. Such delocalization could be aided by the hydrophilic surface of the molecular sieves.
