2Trends in Lipids Level and Dyslipidemia among Chinese Adults, 2002-2015显示文摘Objective To investigate the trends of lipid profiles and dyslipidemia among Chinese adults from 2002 to 2015.Methods Data were collected from three nationally representative cross-sectional surveys.Fasting venous blood samples were collected and serum lipids were tested by biochemical analysis and enzymatic determination.Lipid levels and the prevalence of dyslipidemia among adults were analyzed with complex sampling weighting adjustment for age and gender.Results The weighted means of TC, TG, and LDL-c significantly increased linearly from 3.93, 1.12, and 2.12 mmol/L in 2002 to 4.59, 1.41, and 2.78 mmol/L in 2010 and then to 4.63, 1.47, and 2.87 mmol/L in 2015, respectively;by contrast, HDL-c levels decreased significantly from 1.30 mmol/L to 1.26 mmol/L over the same period.Similar trends in mean non-HDL-c and lipid-related ratios were observed.The weighted dyslipidemia prevalence linearly increased;in particular, hypercholesterolemia increased from 1.6% to 5.6% and then to 5.8%, hypertriglyceridemia increased from 5.7% to 13.6% and then to 15.0%, low HDL-c increased from 18.8% to 35.5% and then to 24.9%, and high LDL-c increased from 1.3% to 5.6% and then to 7.2%(P for trend <0.001).Conclusion Dyslipidemia increased among Chinese adults from 2002 to 2015.Development of a comprehensive strategy to decrease lipid levels in this population is urgently required.SONG Peng Kun MAN Qing Qing LI Hong PANG Shao Jie JIA Shan Shan LI Yu Qian HE Li ZHAO Wen Hua ZHANG Jian 2019Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2019,32,8:45

6Effects of maize-soybean relay intercropping on crop nutrient uptake and soil bacterial community显示文摘Maize-soybean relay intercropping is an effective approach to improve the crop yield and nutrient use efficiency,which is widely practiced by farmers in southwest of China.To elucidate the characteristics of different planting patterns on crop nutrient uptake,soil chemical properties,and soil bacteria community in maize-soybean relay intercropping systems,we conducted a field experiment in 2015–2016 with single factor treatments,including monoculture maize(MM),monoculture soybean(MS),maize-soybean relay intercropping(IMS),and fallow(CK).The results showed that the N uptake of maize grain increased in IMS compared with MM.Compared with MS,the yield and uptake of N,P,and K of soybean grain were increased by 25.5,24.4,9.6,and 22.4%in IMS,respectively,while the N and K uptakes in soybean straw were decreased in IMS.The soil total nitrogen,available phosphorus,and soil organic matter contents were significantly higher in IMS than those of the corresponding monocultures and CK.Moreover,the soil protease,soil urease,and soil nitrate reductase activities in IMS were higher than those of the corresponding monocultures and CK.The phyla Proteobacteria,Acidobacteria,Chloroflexi,and Actinobacteria dominated in all treatments.Shannon’s index in IMS was higher than that of the corresponding monocultures and CK.The phylum Proteobacteria proportion was positively correlated with maize soil organic matter and soybean soil total nitrogen content,respectively.These results indicated that the belowground interactions increased the crop nutrient(N and P)uptake and soil bacterial community diversity,both of which contributed to improved soil nutrient management for legume-cereal relay intercropping systems.FU Zhi-dan ZHOU Li CHEN Ping DU Qing PANG Ting SONG Chun WANG Xiao-chun LIU Wei-guo YANG Wen-yu YONG Tai-wen 2019Journal of Integrative Agriculture2019,18,9:17
7Field measurement and analysis of turbulence coherence for Typhoon Nuri at Macao Friendship Bridge显示文摘For the purpose of investigating the turbulent and spatial coherent characteristics of strong wind during typhoon landing period,two 3-dimensional ultrasonic anemometer stations were set up 30 m horizontally apart on the Macao Friendship Bridge to caputure the turbulent wind velocities of Typhoon Nuri. Based on the reliable and representative field measured data,the mean wind speed and direction,turbulence intensity,turbulence integral scale,turbulence power spectra,spatial correlation coefficient and coherence function were statistically evaluated. The field measurement analysis have presented the following results: 1) Two anemometer stations provided consistent results. The mean wind speed variation in time domain presented typical M-shape curves. The strong wind (10-minute mean wind speed higher than 8th grade in Beaufort wind scale) direction changed in a big range up to 122-degrees-angle,indicating the field measurements scoped over the typhoon landing period. 2) The ratio of the longitudinal,lateral and vertical turbulence intensities of the strong wind in the typhoon eye wall region was 1:0.96:0.36. Compared with the code defined ratio 1:0.88:0.5,the lateral component was larger and the vertical component was smaller. 3) The value of integral scale increased when the eye wall of Typhoon Nuri passed over the field measurement site. Before the center of Typhoon Nuri arrived,the integral scale of the strong typhoon wind was about twice compared with that for the non-typhoon wind. 4) The spatial correlation of the turbulent wind,coherence function curve and the decay factor had significant differences at different times during the typhoon process. In the eye wall of the typhoon,the horizontal spatial correlation was relatively strong and horizontally spatial correlation spectrum decayed slower with frequency increase. The minimum regressed coefficient C in coherence function model was 4.67,which is lower than the code defined low limit. The maximum decay factor was 27.75 which is larger than the code defined upper bound. 8Grape Seed Proanthocyanidin Extract Alleviates Arsenic-induced Oxidative Reproductive Toxicity in Male Mice显示文摘Objective To determine the ability of grape seed proanthocyanidin extract(GSPE) in alleviating arsenic-induced reproductive toxicity. Methods Sixty male Kunming mice received the following treatments by gavage: normal saline solution(control); arsenic trioxide(ATO; 4 mg/kg); GSPE(400 mg/kg); ATO+GSPE(100 mg/kg); ATO+GSPE(200 mg/kg) and ATO+GSPE(400 mg/kg). Thereafter, the mice were sacrificed and weighed, and the testis was examined for pathological changes. Nuclear factor(erythroid-derived 2)-like 2(Nrf2), heme oxygenase 1(HO1), glutathione S-transferase(GST), NAD(P)H dehydrogenase, and quinone 1(NQO1) expression in the testis was detected by real-time PCR. Superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione(GSH), total antioxidative capability(T-AOC), malondialdehyde(MDA), 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine(8-OHd G), and reproductive indexes were analyzed. Results ATO-treated mice showed a significantly decreased sperm count and testis somatic index and activity levels of SOD, GSH, and T-AOC than control group. Compared to the ATO-treated group, ATO +GSPE group showed recovery of the measured parameters. Mice treated with ATO+high-dose GSPE showed the highest level of m RNA expression of Nrf2, HO, NQO1, and GST. 11Central obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease risk after adjusting for body mass index显示文摘AIM:To investigate whether central obesity is associated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) formation after adjusting for general obesity.METHODS:The online databases Pub Med,EMBASE,and ISI Web of Science were searched for studies estimating the influence of central obesity on NAFLD occurrence published through April 2014.Studies that did not adjust for body mass index(BMI) were excluded.In addition,the independent effect of BMI was also assessed with the included studies.The pooled effect sizes and 95% confidence intervals(CIs) were calculated using random- or fixed-effects models based on the degree of heterogeneity.Furthermore,subgroup analyses,meta-regression,sensitivity analyses,and publication bias were performed.RESULTS:Twenty eligible studies were identified.The summary odds ratio(OR) values per-unit increase in waist circumference(WC) and BMI for NAFLD formation were 1.07(95%CI:1.03-1.10,I2 = 73.9%,n = 11 studies) and 1.25(95%CI:1.13-1.38,I2 = 88.7%,n = 11 studies),respectively.When the indices were expressed as binary variables(with the non-obesity group as reference),the pooled OR in WC,waist-tohip ratio,and BMI were 2.34(95%CI:1.83-3.00,I2 = 41.8%,n = 7 studies),4.06(95%CI:1.53-10.79,I2 = 65.7%,n = 3 studies),and 2.85(95%CI:1.60-5.08,I2 = 57.8%,n = 5 studies),respectively.Using the same studies as the latter(n = 5),pooled OR in WC was 3.14(95%CI:2.07-4.77),which is greater than that in BMI.CONCLUSION:Central obesity may pose a greater threat to national health than general obesity,although both are independently associated with increased risk of NAFLD.Qing Pang Jing-Yao Zhang Si-Dong Song Kai Qu Xin-Sen Xu Su-Shun Liu Chang Liu 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,5:13
12Triboelectric behaviors of materials under high speeds and large currents显示文摘Using special testers,the triboelectric behaviors of several materials were investigated in this paper under the conditions of high speeds and large currents.The obtained results revealed that the tribological behaviors and current-conducting characteristics have complicated interrelationships.Worsening in the servicing conditions can obviously deteriorate the tribological as well as electrical behaviors;high sliding speeds and large electrical currents can worsen the tribological and electrical conductivity properties,while an appropriate contact pressure can benefit the electrical contact properties.Further analyses reveal that the worsening effects of the above factors,such as frictional heat,arc discharge,arc heat,and surface morphology,result in poor triboelectric contact performance.Among these,the electric arc is one of the most serious factors,because the occurrence of an electric arc may cause severe oxidation,melting,and roughening of the contact surface,thereby causing deterioration in the current-conducting quality as well as material loss.Yongzhen ZHANG Zhenghai YANG Kexing Song Xianjuan PANG Bao SHANGGUAN 2013Friction2013,1,3:12
13Platelet to lymphocyte ratio as a novel prognostic tool for gallbladder carcinoma显示文摘AIM:To preliminarily investigate the prognostic significance of the platelet to lymphocyte ratio(PLR) in patients with gallbladder carcinoma(GBC).METHODS:Clinical data of 316 surgical GBC patients were analyzed retrospectively,and preoperative serum platelet and lymphocyte counts were used to calculate the PLR.The optimal cut-off value of the PLR for detecting death was determined by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve.The primary outcome was overall survival,which was estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method.The log-rank test was used to compare the differences in survival.Then,we conducted multivariate Cox analysis to assess the independent effect of the PLR on the survival of GBC patients.RESULTS:For the PLR,the area under the ROC curve was 0.620(95%CI:0.542-0.698,P = 0.040) in detecting death.The cut-off value for the PLR was determined to be 117.7,with 73.6% sensitivity and 53.2% specificity.The PLR was found to be significantlypositively correlated with CA125 serum level,tumornode-metastasis(TNM) stage,and tumor differentiation.Univariate analysis identified carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),CA125 and CA199 levels,PLR,TNM stage,and the degree of differentiation as significant prognostic factors for GBC when they were expressed as binary data.Multivariate analysis showed that CA125 > 35 U/mL,CA199 > 39 U/mL,PLR ≥ 117.7,and TNM stage Ⅳ were independently associated with poor survival in GBC.When expressed as a continuous variable,the PLR was still an independent predictor for survival,with a hazard ratio of 1.018(95%CI:1.001-1.037 per 10-unit increase,P = 0.043).CONCLUSION:The PLR could be used as a simple,inexpensive,and valuable tool for predicting the prognosis of GBC patients.Qing Pang Ling-Qiang Zhang Rui-Tao Wang Jian-Bin Bi Jing-Yao Zhang Kai Qu Su-Shun Liu Si-Dong Song Xin-Sen Xu Zhi-Xin Wang Chang Liu 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,21:10
14Whole petroleum system and ordered distribution pattern of conventional and unconventional oil and gas reservoirs显示文摘The classical source-to-trap petroleum system concept only considers the migration and accumulation of conventional oil and gas in traps driven dominantly by buoyance in a basin,although revised and improved,even some new concepts as composite petroleum system,total petroleum system,total composite petroleum system,were proposed,but they do not account for the vast unconventional oil and gas reservoirs within the system,which is not formed and distributed in traps dominantly by buoyancedriven.Therefore,the petroleum system concept is no longer adequate in dealing with all the oil and gas accumulations in a basin where significant amount of the unconventional oil and gas resources are present in addition to the conventional oil and gas accumulations.This paper looked into and analyzed the distribution characteristics of conventional and unconventional oil/gas reservoirs and their differences and correlations in petroliferous basins in China and North America,and then proposed whole petroleum system(WPS)concept,the WPS is defined as a natural system that encompasses all the conventional and unconventional oil and gas,reservoirs and resources originated from organic matter in source rocks,the geological elements and processes involving the formation,evolution,and distribution of these oil and gas,reservoirs and resources.It is found in the WPS that there are three kinds of hydrocarbons dynamic fields,three kinds of original hydrocarbons,three kinds of reservoir rocks,and the coupling of these three essential elements lead to the basic ordered distribution model of shale oil/gas reservoirs contacting or interbeded with tight oil/gas reservoirs and separated conventional oil/gas reservoirs from source rocks upward,which is expressed as“S\T-C”.Abnormal conditions lead to other three special ordered distribution models:The first is that with shale oil/gas reservoirs separated from tight oil/gas reservoirs.The second is that with two direction ordered distributions from source upward and downward.The third is with lateral distribution from source outside.Cheng-Zao Jia Xiong-Qi Pang Yan Song 2023Petroleum Science2023,20,1:10
15Identification and screening of nitrogenefficient cotton genotypes under low and normal nitrogen environments at the seedling stage显示文摘Background: Large quantities of nitrogen(N) fertilizer applied to cotton cropping systems support high yields but cause adverse environmental impacts such as N_20 emission and water eutrophication. The development of cotton cultivars with higher N use efficiencies suitable for low-N conditions is therefore important for sustainable production. In this study, we evaluated 100 cotton genotypes in 2016 for N use efficiency and related traits at the seedling stage.Methods: Sand culture experiment was conducted with low N levels(0.01 g·kg^(-1)) or normal N levels(0.1 g·kg^(-1)).We investigated plant height, SPAD value(soil plant analysis development chlorophyll meter), dry weight, N accumulation, N utilization efficiency, and N uptake efficiency. Through descriptive statistics, principal component analysis and heatmap clustering analysis, we confirmed the evaluation index system of N-efficient genotypes and the classification of N-efficient genotypes.Results: Significant differences were observed among N levels and genotypes for all agronomic traits and N levels.Coefficients of variation varied greatly and ranged from 6.7~28.8 and 7.4~20.8 under low-N and normal-N treatment, respectively. All traits showed highly significant positive correlations with each other, except SPAD value.The principal components under both N levels were similar, showing that total dry weight, aboveground dry weight, total N accumulation, and N uptake efficiency were important components. We confirmed these four traits as suitable screening indexes for low N tolerance. Based on the results of heatmap clustering and scatter diagram analysis of N efficiency value, 10 genotypes were found low-N tolerant, in which five varieties were inefficient under both low and normal N conditions, while four varieties were found efficient under low-N conditions but inefficient under normal-N conditions. Only one variety was efficient under both low and normal-N conditions. Meanwhile, 20 genotypes were identified as low-N sensitive ones, in which 19 genotypes were inefficient under low-N conditions but efficient under normal-N conditions, one variety was inefficient under both low and normal-N conditions.Conclusion: We preliminarily identified Kashi as a low-N tolerant and N-efficient cotton genotype, and CCRI 64 as a lowN sensitive and N-inefficient cotton genotype. 16Synoptic-scale variation of δ^(18)O in summer monsoon rainfall at Lijiang, China显示文摘Based on the daily δ^(18)O data in June―September 2003 at Lijiang and the daily mean NCEP/ NCAR reanalysis data, synoptic-scale variation of δ^(18)O in summer monsoon rainfall was investigated. The 'precipitation amount effect' is obvious for the daily δ^(18)O variation, whereas the 'temperature effect' is insignificant. Alternate occurrences of active phase and break phase of the southwest monsoon probably influence the synoptic-scale δ^(18)O variation prominently. Moreover, the isotopic composition in precipitation during the late monsoon months is presumably influenced significantly by recycling of monsoon precipitation. Both the above factors disturb the 'amount effect' of isotopic variation in the monsoon region. This study also indicates that the synoptic-scale rainfall δ^(18)O variation at Lijiang in summer is domi-nated by the Indian monsoon depression (low pressure) system at large scale. 17Genome-wide identification and analysis of the DREB genes and their expression profiles under abiotic stresses in Chinese jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)显示文摘CBF/DREB proteins play a critical role in abiotic stress-mediated gene expression and represent attractive regulons for plant breeding programs.However,no study has been conducted for CBF/DREB protein-related genes in jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.).In this study,twenty-five ZjDREB genes were identified and annotated from the jujube(Z.jujuba‘Dongzao’)genome.Detailed analysis,including gene classification,annotation,phylogenetic evaluation,conserved motif determination and expression profiling were performed on all genes.Phylogenetic analysis showed that ZjDREB proteins were divided into five subgroups(A1–A5),but lacking a subgroup A6 corresponding to AtDREBs.The ZjDREB genes were distributed in nine of twelve chromosomes in the genome.Additionally,the expression patterns of the DREB genes under different abiotic stresses were investigated using q RT-PCR.Nineteen ZjDREB genes were down-regulated under low temperature,in contrast six ZjDREB genes(01,03,05,11,23 and 24)were up-regulated.Under drought,salinity and high temperature conditions,expression of ZjDREB03,09,10,14,15,17 and 20 genes were induced and showed similar expression patterns,suggesting that various stress conditions share common elements in the signaling pathway.The results suggest that the family of DREB genes play an important role in abiotic stresses in jujube,and provide a foundation for further functional studies of this important class of transcriptional regulators.Heying Zhou Jiping Jia Decang Kong Zhendong Zhang Shuang Song Yingyue Li Xiaoming Pang 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,4:8
18THE DEGRADATION AND BIOCOMPATIBILITY OF WATERBORNE BIODEGRADABLE POLYURETHANES FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING显示文摘To better investigate the degradation and biocompatibility of waterborne biodegradable polyurethanes for tissue engineering, a series of new waterborne biodegradable polyurethanes(PEGPUs) with low degree of crosslinking was synthesized using IPDI, BDO and L-lysine as hard segments, PCL and PEG as soft segment. The bulk structures and properties of the prepared polyurethanes were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), tensile mechanical tests and water contact angle(WCA) measurements. The degree of microphase separation was slightly improved because of the lowered crosslinking degree of these PEGPUs in comparison with the high cross-linking degree samples, leading to good mechanical properties, as indicated by DSC and stress-strain data. Moreover, biodegradability of the polyurethanes was evaluated in phosphate buffer solutions(PBS) under different pH values and enzymatic solution at pH 7.4 through weight loss monitoring. The results suggested that the degradation of these PEGPUs was closely related to their bulk and surface properties. And the degradation products didn't show apparent inhibition effect against fibroblasts in vitro. 20Principles of the roof cut short-arm beam mining method (110 method) and its mining-induced stress distribution显示文摘Since the 1960 s, mining science and technology in China has experienced two technical innovations, i.e.the ‘‘Masonry Beam Theory(MBT)' and ‘‘Transfer Rock Beam Theory(TRBT)'. Based on those theories, the conventional mining method(being called the 121 mining method) was established, consisting of excavating two tunnels with a pillar left for mining a working panel. However, with increasing mining depth,engineering geological disasters in the underground caverns have been frequently encountered. In addition, the use of the coal-pillar mining results in a large amount of coal resources unexploited. In order to address the problems above, the ‘‘Roof Cut Short-Arm Beam Theory(RCSBT), being called the 110 mining method)' was proposed by He Manchao in 2008. The 110 mining method features the mining of one coal seam panel, excavating necessarily only one roadway tunnel and leaving no pillars. Realization of the 110 mining method includes the following steps:(1) directional pre-splitting roof cutting,(2) supporting the roof by using high Constant Resistance Large Deformation bolt/cable(CRLD), and(3) blocking gangue by hydraulic props. This paper presents an overview of the principles, techniques and application of the 110 mining method. Special emphasis is placed on the numerical simulation of the geostress distribution found in the mining panel using the 110 method compared to that of the 121 method.
