3Immunological and metabolic characteristics of the Omicron variants infection显示文摘The Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2,primarily authenticated in November 2021 in South Africa,has initiated the 5th wave of global pandemics.Here,we systemically examined immunological and metabolic characteristics of Omicron variants infection.We found Omicron resisted to neutralizing antibody targeting receptor binding domain(RBD)of wildtype SARS-CoV-2.Omicron could hardly be neutralized by sera of Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)convalescents infected with the Delta variant.Through mass spectrometry on MHC-bound peptidomes,we found that the spike protein of the Omicron variants could generate additional CD8+T cell epitopes,compared with Delta.These epitopes could induce robust CD8+T cell responses.Moreover,we found booster vaccination increased the cross-memory CD8+T cell responses against Omicron.Metabolic regulome analysis of Omicron-specific T cell showed a metabolic profile that promoted the response of memory T cells.Consistently,a greater fraction of memory CD8+T cells existed in Omicron stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).In addition,CD147 was also a receptor for the Omicron variants,and CD147 antibody inhibited infection of Omicron.CD147-mediated Omicron infection in a human CD147 transgenic mouse model induced exudative alveolar pneumonia.Taken together,our data suggested that vaccination booster and receptor blocking antibody are two effective strategies against Omicron.Jiejie Geng Xu Yang Kun Wang Ke Wang Ruo Chen Zhi-Nan Chen Chuan Qin Guizhen Wu Youchun Wang Ke Xu Peng Du Jiangning Liu Shirui Chen Tao Zhang Xiuxuan Sun Ting Guo Ying Shi Zheng Zhang Ding Wei Peng Lin Qingyi Wang Jing Yuan Jiuxin Qu Jin Zou Yingxia Liu Hongzhou Lu Ping Zhu Huijie Bian Liang Chen 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:0
4Synchronous post-acceleration of laser-driven protons in helical coil targets by controlling the current dispersion显示文摘Post-acceleration of protons in helical coil targets driven by intense,ultrashort laser pulses can enhance ion energy by utilizing the transient current from the targets’self-discharge.The acceleration length of protons can exceed a few millimeters,and the acceleration gradient is of the order of GeV/m.How to ensure the synchronization between the accelerating electric field and the protons is a crucial problem for efficient post-acceleration.In this paper,we study how the electric field mismatch induced by current dispersion affects the synchronous acceleration of protons.We propose a scheme using a two-stage helical coil to control the current dispersion.With optimized parameters,the energy gain of protons is increased by four times.Proton energy is expected to reach 45 MeV using a hundreds-of-terawatts laser,or more than 100 MeV using a petawatt laser,by controlling the current dispersion.Zhipeng Liu Zhusong Mei Defeng Kong Zhuo Pan Shirui Xu Ying Gao Yinren Shou Pengjie Wang Zhengxuan Cao Yulan Liang Ziyang Peng Jiarui Zhao Shiyou Chen Tan Song Xun Chen Tianqi Xu Xueqing Yan Wenjun Ma 2023High Power Laser Science and Engineering2023,11,4:0

6Estimation of wall parameters based on range profiles显示文摘Compensation of wall effects is of main concern in SAR through-wall sensing.Wall parameters are essential for the compensation,which are normally not known a priori.A model of SAR working in sidelooking strip mode for through-wall imaging is established,with the path of signal due to refraction taken into consideration.Through analyzing the echo configuration in time domain,a new procedure for estimating wall parameters using high range resolution profiles is provided.By extracting time delay of target counterpart,the thickness and permittivity of wall are figured out exactly by employing numerical equation method and intersecting of searching curves.With the estimated parameters,focused image of targets in a room is acquired after wall effects are compensated in imaging processing with back projection algorithm.Simulation results verify the validity of the theoretical analysis and imaging algorithm.LI Xin AN DaoXiang HUANG XiaoTao PENG ShiRui 2011Science China(Information Sciences)2011,54,10:0

8Endovascular treatment for left innominate vein aneurysm: Case report and literature review显示文摘Innominate vein aneurysms originating from the mediastinum are very rare. Previous treatments for this condition often required thoracotomy. We report a case of a 43-year-old male who presented a mediastinal mass by chest radiography. Contrast-enhanced CT and venography confirmed the diagnosis of left innominate vein aneurysm. The patient underwent endovascular treatment with stent placement and coil embolization of the left innominate vein. The patient remains well 18 months after surgery.
