| 2 | Conversation Analysis and Social Action显示文摘Conversation analysis(CA) has come to be regarded as focusing primarily on turn-taking,on the way speakers design,hold and extend their turns at talk;how they select next speakers;how others know when it is their turn to speak;how orderly transition from one turn to the next is managed and how turns collide.The argument in this paper is that this research focus is waning,and that in its place a new direction is emerging(or perhaps reemerging) -the investigation of how social actions are conducted through language.This research direction connects with an area that is quite familiar in linguistic pragmatics,that of speech act analysis(Austin,Searle).But CA's approach is quite distinctive,exploring as it does the systematic basis for the selection of one from among the alternative constructions or formats for doing certain actions.This is illustrated through recent studies of offering and requesting,with some further observations of negatively formatted interrogatives used to make proposals.These studies show that speakers select between the alternative available forms on the basis of the sequential position in which the speaker is conducting that action. | Paul Drew | 2013 | 外国语2013，36，3： | 28 |

| 4 | Investigation of cholecystokinin receptors in the human lower esophageal sphincter显示文摘AIM:To compare the binding of cholecystokinin(CCK)-8to CCK receptors in sling and clasp fibers of the human lower esophageal sphincter.METHODS:Esophageal sling and clasp fibers were isolated from eight esophagectomy specimens,resected for squamous cell carcinoma in the upper two thirds of the esophagus,which had been maintained in oxygenated Kreb’s solution.Western blot was used to measure CCK-A and CCK-B receptor subtypes in the two muscles.A radioligand binding assay was used to determine the binding parameters of 3H-CCK-8S to the CCK receptor subtypes.The specificity of binding was determined by the addition of proglumide,which blocks the binding of CCK to both receptor subtypes.RESULTS:There was no significant difference between the sling and clasp fibers of the human lower esophageal sphincter in the amount of CCK-A[integratedoptical density(IOD)value:22.65±0.642 vs 22.328±1.042,P=0.806]or CCK-B receptor protein(IOD value:13.20±0.423 vs 12.45±0.294,P=0.224)as measured by Western blot.The maximum binding of radio-labeled CCK-8S was higher in the sling fibers than in the clasp fibers(595.75±3.231 cpm vs 500.000±10.087 cpm,P<0.001)and dissociation constant was lower(Kd:1.437±0.024 nmol/L vs 1.671±0.024nmol/L,P<0.001).The IC50 of the receptor specific antagonists were lower for the CCK-A receptors than for the CCK-B(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:CCK binding modulates the contractile function of the lower esophageal sphincter through differential binding to the CCK-A receptor on the sling and clasp fibers. | Jun-Feng Liu Jian Zhang Xin-Bo Liu Paul A Drew | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，21： | 3 |
| 5 | Methylation of TIMP3 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To measure the frequency of DNA methylation of the tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 3 (TIMP3) promoter and relate this to any change of gene expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in patients from a region of high incidence in China.METHODS: Cancer cell lines were treated with or without the demethylating reagent 5-aza-2’-deoxycytidine. Methylation of the TIMP3 promoter was assessed in three regions by melt curve analysis and its expression was assessed by real-time RT-PCR. Tumors and proximal resection margins were obtained from 64 patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma from a region of high incidence in China. Methylation was assessed by melt curve analysis and expression by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS: Methylation in one of the three promoter regions assessed correlated with gene silencing in esophageal cell lines. | 6 | The Interface Between Pragmatics and Conversation Analysis显示文摘In his authoritative and brilliant account of Pragmatics,Levinson(1983)included Conversation Analysis(CA)firmly as part of Pragmatics.Others have perhaps been more cautious,even sceptical,about whether CA is really relevant to the Pragmatics programme;and it has to be said that some conversation analysts have been rather stand-offish about being associated with Pragmatics,regarding CA’s programme as very different from that of Pragmatics.Whilst there are many differences and divergences between CA and Pragmatics,my own view is that CA shares with Pragmatics a number of focal interests that lie at or close to the heart of each.So I will explore some connections between them,focusing on the contributions CA makes to our understanding of the pragmatics of language use,especially in three of the foundational areas of Pragmatics—namely Implicature(e.g.from Grice 1975),Speech Acts(social action)(e.g.from Austin 1962 and Searle 1969)and Presupposition and Well-Formedness(e.g.from Lakoff1971).I will show examples that demonstrate the distinctiveness of CA’s approach to these core pragmatic aspects of language use—in the spirit of demonstrating how CA’s approach complements and does not detract from approaches in Pragmatics. | Paul Drew | 2018 | 外国语2018，41，1： | 2 |
