2Establishment of apparent quantum yield and maximum ecosystem assimilation on Tibetan Plateau alpine meadow ecosystem显示文摘The alpine meadow is widely distributed on the Tibetan Plateau with an area of about 1.2×106kn2. Damxung County, located in the hinterland of the Tibetan Plateau, is the place covered with this typical vegetation. An open-path eddy covariance system was set up in Damxung rangeland station to measure the carbon flux of alpine meadow from July to October,2003. The continuous carbon flux data were used to analyze the relationship between net ecosystem carbon dioxide exchange (NEE) and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), as well as the seasonal patterns of apparent quantum yield (α) and maximum ecosystem assimilation (Pmax).Results showed that the daytime NEE fitted fairly well with the PAR in a rectangular hyperbola function, with α declining in the order of peak growth period (0.0244 μmolCO2 · μmol-1pAR) >early growth period > seed maturing period > withering period (0.0098 μmolCO2 · μmol-1pAR).The Pmax did not change greatly during the first three periods, with an average of 0.433mgCO2· m-2· s-1, i.e. 9.829 μmolCO2· m-2· s-1. However, during the withering period, Pmax was only 0.35 mgCO2 · m-2 · s-1, i.e. 7.945 μmolCO2 · m-2 · s-1. 3Effects of Grazing Exclusion on Plant Productivity and Soil Carbon, Nitrogen Storage in Alpine Meadows in Northern Tibet, China显示文摘Grazing exclusion is widely adopted in restoring degraded alpine grasslands on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. However, its effectiveness remains poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the effects of grazing exclusion on plant productivity, species diversity and soil organic carbon(SOC) and soil total nitrogen(STN) storage along a transect spanning from east to west of alpine meadows in northern Tibet, China. After six years of grazing exclusion, plant cover, aboveground biomass(AGB), belowground biomass(BGB), SOC and STN were increased, but species diversity indices declined. The enhancement of AGB and SOC caused by grazing exclusion was correlated positively with mean annual precipitation(MAP). Grazing exclusion led to remarkable biomass increase of sedge species, especially Kobresia pygmaea, whereas decrease of biomass in forbs and no obvious change in grass, leguminous and noxious species. Root biomass was concentrated in the near surface layer(10 cm) after grazing exclusion. The effects of grazing exclusion on SOC storage were confined to shallow soil layer in sites with lower MAP. It is indicated that grazing exclusion is an effective measure to increase forage production and enhance soil carbon sequestration in the studied region. The effect is more efficient in sites with higher precipitation. However, the results revealed a tradeoff between vegetation restoration and ecological biodiversity. Therefore, carbon pools recover more quickly than plant biodiversity in the alpine meadows. 4Experimental study on soil CO_2 emission in the alpine grassland ecosystem on Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau, the Roof of the World, is the highest plateau with a mean elevation of 4000 m. It is characterized by high levels of solar radiation, low air temperature and low air pressure compared to other regions around the world. The alpine grassland, a typical ecosystem in the Tibetan Plateau, is distributed across regions over the elevation of 4500 m. Few studies for carbon flux in alpine grassland on the Tibetan Plateau were conducted due to rigorous natural conditions. A study of soil respiration under alpine grassland ecosystem on the Tibetan Plateau from October 1999 to October 2001 was conducted at Pangkog County, Tibetan Plateau (31.23°N, 90.01°E, elevation 4800 m). The measurements were taken using a static closed chamber technique, usually every two weeks during the summer and at other times at monthly intervals. The obvious diurnal variation of CO2 emissions from soil with higher emission during daytime and lower emission during nighttime was discovered. Diurnal CO2 flux fluctuated from minimum at 05:00 to maximum at 14:00 in local time. Seasonal CO2 fluxes increased in summer and decreased in winter, representing a great variation of seasonal soil respiration. The mean soil CO2 fluxes in the alpine grassland ecosystem were 21.39 mgCO2 · m-2 · h-1, with an average annual amount of soil respiration of 187.46 gCO2 · m-2 · a-1. 5Control of nonmetallic inclusions of non-oriented silicon steel sheets by the rare earth treatment显示文摘Based on the industrial production of non-oriented silicon steel,the rare earth(RE) treatment during the Ruhrstahl Heraeus(RH) refining process was studied.The morphology and the size distribution were observed for the steel specimens treated with different RE treatment conditions.Furthermore,the formation and change of the nonmetallic inclusion characteristics of finished steel sheets after the RE treatment were discussed.The results have shown that in the present work,the suitable RE metal additions are 0.6-0.9 kg/t steel.After the suitable RE treatment,the formation of AlN and MnS inclusions were restrained,and the aggregation,flotation and removal of nonmetallic inclusions were efficiently promoted and the cleanliness of liquid steel was significantly increased.Meanwhile,the total oxygen concentration reached the minimum value and the desulfurization efficiency was optimal,and the type of main inclusions was approximately spherical or elliptical spherical RE radicle inclusions whose size was relatively large.ZHANG Feng MA Changsong WANG BO ZHANG Peili MA Zhigang ZHANG Yi 2011Baosteel Technical Research2011,5,2:12
6Behavior of phenol adsorption on thermal modified activated carbon显示文摘Adsorption process is acknowledged as an effective option for phenolic wastewater treatment. In this work, the activated carbon(AC) samples after thermal modification were prepared by using muffle furnace. The phenol adsorption kinetics and equilibrium measurements were carried out under static conditions at temperature ranging from 25 to 55 °C. The test results show that the thermal modification can enhance phenol adsorption on AC samples. The porous structure and surface chemistry analyses indicate that the decay in pore morphology and decrease of total oxygen-containing functional groups are found for the thermal modified AC samples. Thus, it can be further inferred that the decrease of total oxygen-containing functional groups on the modified AC samples is the main reason for the enhanced phenol adsorption capacity. For both the raw sample and the optimum modified AC sample at 900 °C, the pseudo-second order kinetics and Langmuir models are found to fit the experimental data very well. The maximum phenol adsorption capacity of the optimum modified AC sample can reach144.93 mg·g-1which is higher than that of the raw sample, i.e. 119.53 mg·g-1. 7Effects of livestock exclusion and climate change on aboveground biomass accumulation in alpine pastures across the Northern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘To better understand the ecological and economic benefits of short-term grazing exclusion on the aboveground net primary productivity(ANPP)of alpine pastures,we conducted annual multi-site transect surveys in the summers from 2009 to 2011 and calculated the aboveground biomass discrepancy(ABD)between grazed and ungrazed pastures at plant community and economic group levels for three zonal alpine grassland types—meadow,steppe,and desert-steppe—across the northern Tibetan Plateau.Our results indicated that aboveground biomass(AGB)significantly differed among grassland types and declined northwesterly from 64.07 to11.44 g m-2with decreasing precipitation and increasing temperature.The mean ABD exhibited considerable community dependency,with meadow(12.47 g m-2)[steppe(6.91 g m-2)[desert steppe(2.54 g m-2),and it declined from 25.42 to 1.29 g m-2with decreasing precipitation and increasing temperature.‘Good forage’,i.e.grasses and sedges,benefited most from grazing exclusion,followed by edible forbs.With longer grazing exclusion durations(GEDs),the aboveground biomass of poisonous locoweeds initially decreased and then increased compared with the adjacent grazed sites.In the nested analysis of co-variances with a general linear model,growing season precipitation(GSP;from May to September)accounted for 52.67%ofthe observed variation in AGB,followed by AGT(9.77%)and pasture management systems(PMSs;grazing or grazing-excluded,5.31%).The variation in ABD was explained primarily by AGT(16.52%),GED(20.25%),and the interaction of AGT 9 GED(19.58%).Our results confirm that precipitation is the primary factor controlling the ANPP of alpine grasslands on the Northern Tibetan Plateau and that the ecological benefits arising from grazing exclusion are also partly dependent on grassland type and exclusion duration.Therefore,spatial and temporal variations in growing season precipitation and plant functional traits or economic group composition should be jointly considered when developing policies concerning the management and spatial layouts of grazing exclosures in this region.Jianshuang Wu Xianzhou Zhang Zhenxi Shen Peili Shi Chengqun Yu Baoxiong Chen 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,32:11

9Development of community health service-oriented computer-assisted information system for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases显示文摘Objective:Community health services are an emerging trend.We have found in practice that diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases in the community are distinct.The respiratory department’s daily work involves a number of outpatient registration items and a vast workload.The routine manual operation is inefficient and it is not convenient to make effective statistical analysis of the outpatient data to identify the risk factors closely related to diseases.Therefore,it is imperative to process the outpatient information of patients with respiratory diseases effectively and efficiently in a unified manner by means of computer technology.Methods:The design and realization of the Community Health Service-oriented computerassisted Information System for Diagnosis and Treatment of Respiratory Diseases(CHS-DTRD)was completed as part of the community intervention study on bronchial asthma that was carried out jointly by the Nanjing First Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University and the Hospital of Nanjing University of Science&Technology,and based on 2 years of experience and the needs of an overall analysis.Results:The computer-assisted information system for diagnosis and treatment was developed using Java Server Page(JSP)technology and introducing the advanced Asynchronous JavaScript XML(AJAX)technique and MS-SQL Server was used in the background database.CHS-DTRD was composed of eight functional modules(outpatient data maintenance,outpatient appointment,intelligent analysis for disease risk factors,query and statistics,data dictionary maintenance,database manipulation,access control,and system configuration).CHS-DTRD featured a friendly interface,convenient operation,and stability and reliability.Conclusion:Community health-oriented diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases is simple,programmable,and intuitive,thus the workload of physicians is significantly reduced and the work efficiency is improved.This system facilitates an intelligent analysis of disease risk factors using data mining technology,and provides physicians with suggestions on intelligent analysis for diagnosis of disease and conclusion of disease causes.Yuefang Wu Xin Yao Peili Sun Yong Hu Yuchuan Zhu Yin Hu 2013Family Medicine and Community Health2013,1,4:6

12Chemical composition,energy and amino acid digestibility in double-low rapeseed meal fed to growing pigs显示文摘Background:The nutritional value of rapeseed meal may be variable due to the variation of its chemical composition.And a precise understanding of the nutritional value of an ingredient is beneficial for the accurate diet formulation and reduction of feed costs.This study was conducted to determine the chemical composition,digestible energy(DE) and metabolizable energy(ME) content,and apparent ileal digestibility(AID) and standardized ileal digestibility(SID) of amino acids(AA) for growing pigs.Thirteen solvent-extracted double-low rapeseed meal(DLRSM) samples were obtained from the main double-low rapeseed producing areas in China.Methods:The DE and ME contents of the 13 DLRSM samples were measured in growing pigs(six pigs per DLRSM sample,average initial body weight(BW) = 48.3 kg).The AID and SID of AA of 10 DLRSM samples were determined in 12 crossbred barrows(average initial BW = 35.3 kg) by using two 6x6 Latin square designs.Each Latin square comprised one N-free diet and 5 DLRSM test diets.Results:The chemical composition of DLRSM varied among samples,and the coefficient of variation was greater than 10%for ether extract(EE),neutral detergent fiber(NDF),acid detergent fiber(ADF),calcium(Ca),and total glucosinolates.The AA content of DLRSM varied among samples especially for lysine(Lys) and methionine(Met).On a dry matter(DM) basis,the apparent total tract digestibility(ATTD) of gross energy(GE),the DE and ME and the ME:DE ratio of DLRSM averaged 62.39%,2862 kcal/kg and 2723 kcal/kg,and 94.95%,respectively.The mean value of SID of Lys was 70.52% which varied from 66.54-76.54%.The SID of crude protein(CP),Met,and threonine(Thr) averaged 72.81%,82.41%,and 69.76%,respectively.Conclusions:There was great variability in chemical composition especially in the concentration of EE,NDF and ADF,but no significant differences in energy content of the DLRSM samples were observed.In addition,the AID and SID of all AA were relatively similar among DLRSM samples except for that of Lys.Peili Li Fengli Wang Fei Wu Jinrong Wang Ling Liu Changhua Lai 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,4:5
13Agricultural Land Suitability of Production Space in the Taihang Mountains, China显示文摘The contradiction between the shortage of land for agriculture due to rapid expansion of industrialization and urbanization and increasing population pressure is projected to impose great threats to future food security.Agricultural land suitability evaluation is an effective approach to improve the utilization of land resources for crop production and thus enhance the capacity of food provision.In this study, we evaluated the land suitability for agriculture of the production space in the Taihang Mountains by three steps: establishing indicator system, determining weights for indicators, and constructing a fuzzy matter-element model to assess the grades of suitability.Results showed that the land suitability had a significant linear correlation with potential crop yields, indicating our evaluation was effective to predict crop production.The spatial pattern of land suitability for crop production demonstrated that land with higher suitability was generally located in piedmont plains and basins, while land with lower suitability was mostly situated in mountainous areas.The area of highly, moderately, marginally suitable and unsuitable land for agriculture was 32.13%, 28.58%, 37.49% and 1.80% of the production space, respectively.However, the correlation degree analysis indicated that the requirements of these four suitability grades were currently not satisfied but could be potentially fulfilled.In terms of indicator weights, soil properties were much more important than topography and location conditions to influence the grades of suitability.Among all indicators, slope, soil organic matter, soil texture and soil depth were the most influential factors, so slope farming prevention and organic fertilization were most likely to improve land suitability for agriculture.Compared the outputs of our land suitability evaluation model with the distribution of the existing croplands, we found that about 66.52% of marginally suitable and 54.55% of unsuitable land for agriculture were currently used for croplands.Therefore, de-farming policy should be implemented in areas of these two suitability grades.In contrast, cropland expansion was encouraged in the land that was highly or moderately suitable for agriculture.Our evaluation of agricultural land suitability is beneficial for future land use planning and decision-making in the Taihang Mountains.GENG Shoubao SHI Peili ZONG Ning ZHU Wanrui 2019Chinese Geographical Science2019,29,6:4
14Microcystis aeruginosa/Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes interaction effects on off-flavors in algae/bacteria co-culture system under different temperatures显示文摘We conducted an experiment to study the interaction effects of Microcystis aeruginosa and Pseudomonas pseudoalcaligenes on off-flavors in an algae/bacteria co-culture system at three temperatures(24, 28 and 32℃). Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry was applied to measure off-flavor compounds dimethyl sulfide(DMS), dimethyl trisulfide(DMTS),2-methylisoborneol, geosmin(GEO) and β-cyclocitral. During the lag phase of co-cultured M. aeruginosa(first 15 days), P. pseudoalcaligenes significantly increased the production of DMS, DMTS and β-cyclocitral at all three temperatures. In the exponential phase of co-cultured M. aeruginosa(after 15 days), M. aeruginosa became the main factor on off-flavors in the co-culture system, and β-cyclocitral turned to the highest off-flavor compound. These results also indicated that DMS, DMTS and β-cyclocitral were the main off-flavor compounds in our M. aeruginosa/P. pseudoalcaligenes co-culture system. Univariate analysis was applied to investigate the effects of M. aeruginosa and P. pseudoalcaligenes on the production of off-flavors. The results demonstrated that both M. aeruginosa and P. pseudoalcaligenes could increase the production of DMS and DMTS, while β-cyclocitral was mainly determined by M. aeruginosa. 15SARS-CoV-2 ORF10 suppresses the antiviral innate immune response by degrading MAVS through mitophagy显示文摘The global coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has caused severe morbidity and mortality in humans.It is urgent to understand the function of viral genes.However,the function of open reading frame 10(ORF10),which is uniquely expressed by SARS-CoV-2,remains unclear.In this study,we showed that overexpression of ORF10 markedly suppressed the expression of type I interferon(IFN-I)genes and IFN-stimulated genes.Then,mitochondrial antiviral signaling protein(MAVS)was identified as the target via which ORF10 suppresses the IFN-I signaling pathway,and MAVS was found to be degraded through the ORF10-induced autophagy pathway.Furthermore,overexpression of ORF10 promoted the accumulation of LC3 in mitochondria and induced mitophagy.Mechanistically,ORF10 was translocated to mitochondria by interacting with the mitophagy receptor Nip3-like protein X(NIX)and induced mitophagy through its interaction with both NIX and LC3B.Moreover,knockdown of NIX expression blocked mitophagy activation,MAVS degradation,and IFN-I signaling pathway inhibition by ORF10.Consistent with our observations,in the context of SARS-CoV-2 infection,ORF10 inhibited MAVS expression and facilitated viral replication.In brief,our results reveal a novel mechanism by which SARS-CoV-2 inhibits the innate immune response;that is,ORF10 induces mitophagy-mediated MAVS degradation by binding to NIX.Xingyu Li Peili Hou Wenqing Ma Xuefeng Wang Hongmei Wang Zhangping Yu Huasong Chang Tiecheng Wang Song Jin Xue Wang Wenqi Wang Yudong Zhao Yong Zhao Chunqing Xu Xiaomei Ma Yuwei Gao Hongbin He 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,1:4
16Long-Term Impact of Soil Management on Microbial Biomass C, N and P in Rice-Based Cropping System显示文摘A 12-year field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of different tillage methods and fertil- ization systems on microbial biomass C, N and P of a gray fluvo-aguic soil in rice-based cropping system. Five fertilization treatments were designed under conventional tillage (CT) or no tillage (NT) system: no fertilizer (CK); chemical fertilizer only (CF); combining chemical fertilizer with pig manure (PM); combining chemical fertilizer with crop straw (CS) and fallow (F). The results showed that biomass C, N and P were enriched in the surface layer of no-tilled soil, whereas they distributed relatively evenly in the tilled soil, which might result from enrichment of crop residue, organic manure and mineral fertilizer, and surficial development of root systems under NT. Under the cultivation system, NT had slightly greater biomass C, N and P at 0~5 cm depth, significantly less biomass C, N and P at 5~15 cm depth, less microbial biomass C, N and equivalent biomass P at 15 ~30 cm depth as compared to CT, indicating that tillage was beneficial for the multiplica tion of organisms in the plowed layer of soil. Under the fallow system, biomass C, N and P in the surface layer were significantly greater for NT than CT while their differences between the two tillage methods were negligible in the deeper layers. In the surface layer, biomass C, N and P in the soils amended with organic manure combined with mineral fertilizers were significantly greater than those of the treatments only with mineral fertilizers and the control. Soils without fertilizer had the least biomass nutrient contents among the five fertilization treatments. Obviously, the long-term application of organic manure could maintain the higher activity of microorganisms in soils. It's different from the present researches which mainly focus on compression of single tra jectory, and further takes data redundancy raised by the similarity of movement pattern of moving objects into consideration. HCFT divides the redundancy of tra jectory data into Single tra jectory redundancy(STR) and Multiple tra jectories redundancy(MTR) and compresses them in a hybrid way(i.e. synchronous compression for STR at first and then asynchronous compression for MTR). We propose an asynchronous extraction algorithm for MTR based on frequent Road track subsequence(RTS), which replaces similar movement route by RTS, with the complexity of calculation significantly reduced. HCFT can not only gain higher compression ratio,but also ensure effectiveness of compressed tra jectory. 18The Anomalous Mei-yu Rainfall of Summer 2020 from a Circulation Clustering Perspective:Current and Possible Future Prevalence显示文摘Highly unusual amounts of rainfall were seen in the 2020 summer in many parts of China,Japan,and South Korea.At the intercontinental scale,case studies have attributed this exceptional event to a displacement of the climatological western North Pacific subtropical anticyclone,potentially associated Indian Ocean sea surface temperature patterns and a mid-latitude wave train emanating from the North Atlantic.Using clusters of spatial patterns of sea level pressure,we show that an unprecedented 80%of the 2020 summer days in East Asia were dominated by clusters of surface pressure greater than normal over the South China Sea.By examining the rainfall and water vapor fluxes in other years when these clusters were also prevalent,we find that the frequency of these types of clusters was likely to have been largely responsible for the unusual rainfall of 2020.From two ensembles of future climate projections,we show that summers like 2020 in East Asia may become more frequent and considerably wetter in a warmer world with an enhanced moisture supply.Robin T.CLARK Peili WU Lixia ZHANG Chaofan LI 2021Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,12:3
19Effect of Horizontal Resolution on the Representation of the Global Monsoon Annual Cycle in AGCMs显示文摘The sensitivity of the representation of the global monsoon annual cycle to horizontal resolution is compared in three AGCMs:the Met Office Unified Model-Global Atmosphere 3.0;the Meteorological Research Institute AGCM3;and the Global High Resolution AGCM from the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory.For each model,we use two horizontal resolution configurations for the period 1998–2008.Increasing resolution consistently improves simulated precipitation and low-level circulation of the annual mean and the first two annual cycle modes,as measured by the pattern correlation coefficient and equitable threat score.Improvements in simulating the summer monsoon onset and withdrawal are region-dependent.No consistent response to resolution is found in simulating summer monsoon retreat.Regionally,increased resolution reduces the positive bias in simulated annual mean precipitation,the two annual-cycle modes over the West African monsoon and Northwestern Pacific monsoon.An overestimation of the solstitial mode and an underestimation of the equinoctial asymmetric mode of the East Asian monsoon are reduced in all high-resolution configurations.Systematic errors exist in lower-resolution models for simulating the onset and withdrawal of the summer monsoon.Higher resolution models consistently improve the early summer monsoon onset over East Asia and West Africa,but substantial differences exist in the responses over the Indian monsoon region,where biases differ across the three low-resolution AGCMs.This study demonstrates the importance of a multi-model comparison when examining the added value of resolution and the importance of model physical parameterizations for simulation of the Indian monsoon.Lixia ZHANG Tianjun ZHOU Nicholas P.KLINGAMAN Peili WU Malcolm ROBERTS 2018Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2018,35,8:3
20Excellent tribological properties of epoxy-Ti3C2 with three-dimensional nanosheets composites显示文摘As a widely used engineering polymer,epoxy resin has been successfully employed in high-performance components and setups.However,the poor thermal and friction properties of traditional epoxy resin greatly limit its application in many extreme environments.In this work,a new kind of epoxy-Ti3C2 with three-dimensional nanosheets(3DNS)composite which was designed by freeze-drying method showed up excellent thermal and friction properties.As a result,the coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)of epoxy-Ti3C23DNS 3.0 composites was 41.9 ppm/K at 40℃,which was lower than that of the traditional epoxy resin(46.7 ppm/K),and the thermal conductivity(TC)was also improved from 0.176 to 0.262 W/(m-K).Meanwhile,epoxy-Ti3C23DNS 1.0 composites showed up the best friction property,with wear rate 76.3%lower than that of epoxy resin.This work is significant for the research of high-performance composite materials.Fanning MENG Zhenyu ZHANG Peili GAO Ruiyang KANG Yash BOYJOO Jinhong YU Tingting LIU 2021Friction2021,9,4:3
