2Theoretical and experimental study on relationship between stress-strain and temperature variation显示文摘Principle on temperature response to the stress-strain variation is fundamental to the relationship between thermal radiation variation and stress-strain field. Current research indicates that temperature has a sensitive response to rock deformation under the condition of normal temperature background. However, the basic physical relationship between deformation and temperature variation is not clear and need to be investigated further. In this paper, principle on temperature response to stress-strain variation is studied in detail, based on thermodynamics, elastic strain theory, and experiments on both ideal material and rock. In the stage of elastic deformation, results indicate that: 1) temperature increment is positively correlated with volume strain variation. Temperature rises with hydrostatic pressure increase. In other words, temperature rises when the specimen is under the compressive state whereas temperature drops under the tensile state. 2) Pure shear deformation does not contribute to tempera- ture variation. Namely, shape change of specimen does not produce temperature variation. However, there exist the relative tensile area and the compressive one in the specimen under the state of pure shear. 3Long-term bone and lung consequences associated with hospital-acquired severe acute respiratory syndrome:a 15-year follow-up from a prospective cohort study显示文摘The most severe sequelae after rehabilitation from SARS are femoral head necrosis and pulmonary fibrosis. We performed a 15-year follow-up on the lung and bone conditions of SARS patients. We evaluated the recovery from lung damage and femoral head necrosis in an observational cohort study of SARS patients using pulmonary CT scans, hip joint MRI examinations, pulmonary function tests and hip joint function questionnaires. Eighty medical staff contracted SARS in 2003. Two patients died of SARS, and78 were enrolled in this study from August 2003 to March 2018. Seventy-one patients completed the 15-year follow-up. The percentage of pulmonary lesions on CT scans diminished from 2003(9.40 ± 7.83)% to 2004(3.20 ± 4.78)%(P < 0.001) and remained stable thereafter until 2018(4.60 ± 6.37)%. Between 2006 and 2018, the proportion of patients with interstitial changes who had improved pulmonary function was lower than that of patients without lesions, as demonstrated by the one-second ratio(FEV1/FVC%, t = 2.21, P = 0.04) and mid-flow of maximum expiration(FEF25%–75%, t = 2.76, P = 0.01). The volume of femoral head necrosis decreased significantly from 2003(38.83 ± 21.01)% to 2005(30.38 ± 20.23)%(P = 0.000 2), then declined slowly from 2005 to 2013(28.99 ± 20.59)% and plateaued until 2018(25.52 ± 15.51)%. Pulmonary interstitial damage and functional decline caused by SARS mostly recovered, with a greater extent of recovery within 2 years after rehabilitation. 4Near-surface Geothermal Gradient Observation and Geothermal Analyses in the Xianshuihe Fault Zone,Eastern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Xianshuihe fault(XSHF) zone, characterized by intense tectonic activity, is located at the southwest boundary of the Bayan Har block, where several major earthquakes have occurred, including the 2008 Wenchuan and the 2013 Lushan earthquakes. This study analysed underground temperature sequence data for four years at seven measuring points at different depths(maximum depth: 18.9 m) in the southeastern section of the XSHF zone. High-frequency atmospheric noise was removed from the temperature sequences to obtain relatively stable temperature fields and heat fluxes near the measurement points. Our measurements show that the surrounding bedrock at(the seven stations distributed in the fault zone) had heat flux values range from-41.0 to 206 m W/m^2, with a median value of 54.3 m W/m^2. The results indicate a low heat flux in the northern section of DaofuKangting and a relatively high heat flux in the southern section of Kangting, which is consistent with the temperature distributions of the hot springs near the fault. Furthermore, our results suggest that the heat transfer in this field results primarily from stable underground heat conduction. 5TOOL PATH PLANNING USING VORONOI DIAGRAM AND THREE STACKS显示文摘Based on the object oriented data structure of Voronoi diagram, the algorithm of the trimmed offset generating and the optimal too l path planning of the pocket machining for multiply connected polygonal domains are studied. The intersection state transition rule is improved in this algorithm. The intersection is between the trimmed offsets and Voronoi polygon. On this basis, the trimmed offset generating and the optimal tool path planning are mad e with three stacks(I stack, C stack and P stack)in different monotonous pouches of Voronoi diagram. At the same time, a merging method of Voronoi diagram an d offsets generating for multiply connected polygonal domains is also presented. 6Transplantation of autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells for traumatic brain injury显示文摘Results from the present study demonstrated that transplantation of autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells into the lesion site in rat brain significantly ameliorated brain tissue pathological changes and brain edema, attenuated glial cell proliferation, and increased brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression. In addition, the number of cells double-labeled for 5-bromodeoxyuridine/glial fibrillary acidic protein and cells expressing nestin increased. Finally, blood vessels were newly generated, and the rats exhibited improved motor and cognitive functions. 7Electronically coupled layered double hydroxide/MXene quantum dot metallic hybrids for high-performance flexible zinc–air batteries显示文摘Precise control of the local electronic structure and properties of electrocatalysts is important for enhancing the multifunctionality and durability of electrocatalysts and for correlating the structure/chemistry with the catalytic properties.Herein,we report electronically coupled metallic hybrids of NiFe layered double hydroxide nanosheet/Ti3C2 MXene quantum dots deposited on a nitrogen-doped graphene surface(LDH/MQD/NG)for high-performance flexible Zn-air batteries(ZABs).As verified from the Mott-Schottky and Nyquist plots,as well as spectroscopic,electrochemical,and computational analyses,the electronic and chemical coupling of LDH/MQD/NG modulates the local electronic and surface structure of the active LDH to provide metallic conductivity and abundant active sites,leading to significantly improved bifunctional activity and electrocatalytic kinetics.The rechargeable ZABs with LDH/MQD/NG hybrids are superior to the previous LDH-based ZABs,demonstrating a high power density(113.8 mW cm^(-2))and excellent cycle stability(150 h at 5 mA cm^(-2)).Moreover,the corresponding quasi solid-state ZABs are completely flexible and practical,affording a high power density of 57.6 mW cm^(-2)even in the bent state,and in real-life operation of tandem cells for powering various electronic devices.Xiaotong Han Nannan Li Peixun Xiong Min Gyu Jung Yingbo Kang Qingyun Dou Qing Liu Jin Yong Lee Ho Seok Park 2021InfoMat2021,3,10:4
8Color image detail enhancement based on quaternion guided filter显示文摘Color image enhancement is an active research field in image processing. Currently, many image enhancement methods are capable of enhancing the details of the color image. However, these methods only process the red, green and blue(RGB) color channels separately, which leads to color distortion easily. In order to overcome this problem, the paper presents an approach to integrate the quaternion theory into the traditional guided filter to obtain a quaternion guided filter(QGF). This method makes full use of the color information of an image to realize the holistic processing of RGB color channels. So as to preserve color information while enhancing details, this paper proposes a color image detail enhancement algorithm based on the QGF. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective in the applications of the color image detail enhancement, and enables image's edges to be more prominent and texture clearer while avoiding color distortion. 13Experimental investigation of three-dimensional propagation process from surface fault显示文摘Experimental study of the formation and propagation of three-dimensional (3D) faults is of great sig- nificance in the understanding of the propagation process developing from initial natural faults. In the study described in this paper, experimental investigations of 3D propagation processes of a type of surface fault are carried out under biaxial compression. The strain field near the surface fault is dy- namically measured and fully analyzed with a high-density Multi-Channel Digital Strain Gauge (MCDSG) and Digital Speckle Correlation Method (DSCM) based on the white-light image analysis. Simultane- ously the micro-fracture process involved in fault formation is observed by a 3D acoustic emission (AE) location system with a set of multi-channel whole-wave record equipment. The experimental results show that the 3D propagation process of surface fault differs greatly from that of the two-dimensional (2D) state and that a new more complicated type of 3D morphological characters and deformation mechanisms are produced. The 3D propagation process of surface faults may be divided into three stages: 1) the first stage of crack propagation initiated by wing cracks; 2) the conversion stage propa- gated by petal cracks; and 3) the second stage of crack propagation formed by shell-shaped fracture surface. The primary propagation patterns of the three stages are different. The corresponding defor- mation fields and micro-fracture distributions are likewise different. The fracture activities from petal cracks especially are of vital importance during surface fault propagation. 15Single-Phase Ternary Compounds with a Disordered Lattice and Liquid Metal Phase for High-Performance Li-Ion Battery Anodes显示文摘Si is considered as the promising anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to their high capacities of 4200 mAh g-1and natural abundancy.However,severe electrode pulverization and poor electronic and Li-ionic conductivities hinder their practical applications.To resolve the afore-mentioned problems,we first demonstrate a cation-mixed disordered lattice and unique Li storage mechanism of single-phase ternary GaSiP_(2)compound,where the liquid metallic Ga and highly reactive P are incorporated into Si through a ball milling method.As confirmed by experimental and theoretical analyses,the introduced Ga and P enables to achieve the stronger resistance against volume variation and metallic conductivity,respectively,while the cation-mixed lattice provides the faster Li-ionic diffusion capability than those of the parent GaP and Si phases.The resulting GaSiP_(2)electrodes delivered the high specific capacity of 1615 mAh g-1and high initial Coulombic efficiency of 91%,while the graphite-modified GaSiP_(2)(GaSiP_(2)@C)achieved 83%of capacity retention after 900 cycles and high-rate capacity of 800 at 10,000 mA g-1.Furthermore,the LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)//Ga SiP_(2)@C full cells achieved the high specific capacity of 1049 mAh g-1after 100 cycles,paving a way for the rational design of high-performance LIB anode materials.Yanhong Li Lei Zhang Hung-Yu Yen Yucun Zhou Gun Jang Songliu Yuan Jeng-Han Wang Peixun Xiong Meilin Liu Ho Seok Park Wenwu Li 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,5:0
16A thermal physical index to explore current tectonic activity with satellite remote sensing显示文摘The use of satellite thermal infrared information is being developed as a method of exploring current tectonic activity. To realize real world application, an objective, stable and testable thermal physical index that is simultaneously related with tectonic activity must be established. From the viewpoint of the energy balance, the land surface is a boundary where energy is exchanged between outer space and the solid Earth. Regardless of how complex the influencing factors are, the land surface is mainly affected by the Sun, atmosphere and underground heat. In this paper, first, the relationships among land surface temperature, solar radiation, atmospheric temperature and thermal information from underground are obtained employing a mathematic physical method based on the equation of heat conduction and energy balance at the land surface. Second, a thermal physical index called the geothermal flux index (GFI), which can provide the activity state of underground heat, is constructed. Third, the theoretical basis of the thermal physical index is verified using stable annual variations in land surface temperature and solar radiation. Finally, combined with known crustal deformations derived using a global positioning system, the effectiveness of the GFI in extracting field tectonic motion is tested. 17Effect of fault jogs on frictional behavior: An experimental study显示文摘Studying the effect of geometrically irregular bodies on the mechanical behavior of fault activity is of significance in understanding the seismic activity along a fault zone. By using rock mechanics ex- periment with medium-scale samples, we have studied the effect of fault jogs, the most common irregularity along fault zones, on frictional behavior. The research indicates that extensional fault jog can be easily fractured because of its low strength and the fractured jog has no obvious resistance to fault sliding, and the micro-fractures occurring in the jog are indicative of stick-slip along the faults. The fault zone containing extensional jogs is characterized by velocity weakening and can be described by rate and state friction law. Compressional fault jog makes fault sliding more difficult because of its high fracturing strength, but the micro-fractures occurring in the tensile areas around fault ends at higher stress level can provide necessary condition for occurrence of stick-slip along the faults before the jog is fractured and thus act as precursors of fault instability. 18Effects of Three Silicon-based Raw Materials on Properties and Microstructure of MgO-Al-C Materials显示文摘To improve the thermal shock resistance(TSR)of MgO-Al-C materials,three silicon-based raw materials with low expansion coefficients(Si,fused quartz,and SiC)were introduced to the materials,and their effects on the properties of the materials were studied by XRD and SEM.The results show that:(1)the conversion of Si to SiC,SiO2 and forsterite at high temperatures improves the hot modulus of rupture(HMOR),TSR and oxidation resistance of the materials,and the optimal Si addition is 6 mass%;(2)fused quartz improves the TSR of the materials,but its high temperature softening and crystal transformation are not conducive to the HMOR and oxidation resistance of the materials,and the optimal addition is 2 mass%;(3)the SiC addition improves the TSR,HMOR and oxidation resistance of the materials;however,when the SiC addition exceeds 10 mass%,there are more micro-cracks in the materials,decreasing the TSR and oxidation resistance.HAN Xiaoyuan SHI Kai XIA Yi WANG Peixun LIU Yang SHANG Jianzhao 2021China's Refractories2021,30,4:0
19Prospect and research progress of detecting dynamic change in crustal stress by bedrock temperature显示文摘A new method of detecting stress change by temperature(DSCT),has been recently proposed on the basis of the experimental results in laboratory,and verified by field observation.In this paper,at first,physical background is concisely introduced,and experimental researches are followed.Then,the key techniques are reviewed,and the main results on in-situ observations are also given in detail.At last,we emphasize on the prospects of this method for being investigated further.The potential prospect includes six contents:(1)to observe the tidal force and its secondary fluid thermal effect;(2)to study temperature response to change in direction of the stress change;(3)to carry out practical engineering application;(4)to analyze the strong earthquake risk,based on bedrock temperature observation;(5)to conduct in situ experiment on DSCT;(6)to explain quantitatively the satellite thermal infrared anomaly.In short,considering that the dynamic change of the crustal stress is a key parameter of earthquake forecasting or engineering application,the method of DSCT has important practical significance for earthquake risk or engineering applications.Shunyun Chen Qiongying Liu Peixun Liu Yanqun Zhuo 2023Geohazard Mechanics2023,1,2:0
20Yield Characteristics of a New High-quality Disease-resistant Wheat Variety Chuanmai 618显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to analyze the yield characteristics of a new high-quality disease-resistant wheat variety Chuanmai 618.[Methods]The yield characteristics of Chuanmai 618 were analyzed using the AMMI model and GGE biplot based on data from a 2-year regional test and a 1-year production test.[Results]The analysis of the AMMI model for the 2-year regional test indicated that Chuanmai 618 had a moderate yield and good stability.During the production test,Chuanmai 618 had an average yield of 450.52 kg/666.7 m 2,an effective spike of 235700 spike/666.7 m 2,a 1000-seed weight of 47.93 g,and a kernel number per spike of 47.28.The AMMI analysis sequencing graph showed that the varieties were ranked in the following order:Zhongkemai 1816>Chuanmai 618>Shumai 1958>Chuanyu 42>Mianmai 367>Xikemai 5518.According to the GE analysis,Chuanmai 618 had comparative advantages.[Conclusions]The new wheat variety Chuanmai 618 is a high-quality disease-resistant variety with good yield and stability.Jianmin ZHENG Zongjun PU Jijuan LU Jiangtao LUO Qingyan DENG Peixun LIU Shizhao LI 2024Plant Diseases and Pests2024,15,2:0
