Geochemistry and LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating of the Dongjiahe ophiolite complex from the western Bikou terrane显示文摘The Dongjiahe ophiolite complex occurring in the western Bikou terrane that is composed chiefly of serpentinite, listwanitizational peridotite, gabbro, cumulus gabbro, and sub-alkaline meta-basalt, possesses a rock association of typical ophiolite sequence. The metaperidotite is depleted in light rare earth element (LREE), whereas the gabbro and meta-basalt from the studied ophiolite sequence, generated by the same parental magmas those have close affinity to the MORB (Mid-ocean ridge basalt), their REE and immobile elements patterns imply an ocean in the northern margin of the Yangtze plate during the Neoproterozoic period. The zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating for the gabbro yields a weighted mean age of 839.2±8.2Ma, suggesting that the basin occurred during the Neoproterozoic period.LAI ShaoCong LI YongFei QIN JiangFeng 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,z2:14

Permian–Triassic Highly-Fractionated I-Type Granites from the Southwestern Qaidam Basin(NW China):Implications for the Evolution of the Paleo-Tethys in the Eastern Kunlun Orogenic Belt显示文摘Late Paleozoic to Early Mesozoic granites are widespread in the southern Qaidam Basin, northern margin of the eastern Kunlun orogenic belt. Their petrogenesis can provide us insights into the tectonic evolution and crustal growth process in the Qaidam Basin. This paper reports Permian–Triassic granites from the Kunbei area, southwestern Qaidam Basin. Detailed zircon LA-ICP MS U-Pb dating reveals that the granites from the four drilling cores(q404, q406, q1612-8, q1613-8) have identical ages of 251±3, 256±4, 247±2, and 251±6 Ma, respectively, these ages are identical with the Permian–Triassic granites from the eastern Qaidam Basin. Detailed geochemical analyses indicate that these granites display typical affinities of highly-fractionated I-type granites:(1) they have high SiO_2(up to 76.5 wt.%), Na_2O+K_2O(7.91 wt.% to 9.48 wt.%) contents and high FeO^T/MgO values of 4.7 to 9.3, suggesting significant fractional crystallization;(2) their low A/CNK values of 0.54 to 1.03, no normative Al-rich minerals, inconsistent with the per-aluminous S-type granites;(3) their low Ga(14.5 ppm to 20.7 ppm) and 10 000×Ga/Al(2.23 to 3.03, most of them <2.6) values are inconsistent with the A-type granites;(4) the high Rb(191 ppm to 406 ppm) contents and Rb/Sr(2.1 to 13.4) ratios, as well as the significant negative Eu anomalies(0.10 to 0.42) also indicate significant fractional crystallization of feldspars;(5) their low P_2O_5 contents(0.02 wt.% to 0.10 wt.%) suggest the limited solubility of phosphorus in primitive metaluminous melts. In combination with the geological background, we propose that the Permian–Triassic highly-fractionated I-type granites resulted from partial melting of intra-crustal mafic rocks, and the primitive I-type granitic melts underwent significant fractional crystallization of feldspars. The occurrence of highly-fractionated I-type granites in the southwestern Qaidam Basin suggests a Permian–Triassic active continental margin in the northern margin of the East Kunlun orogenic belt.Yinjuan Ju Xiaoli Zhang Shaocong Lai Jiangfeng Qin 2017Journal of Earth Science2017,28,1:8
Geochemistry and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic characteristics of the Mugouriwang Cenozoic volcanic rocks from Tibetan Plateau:Constraints on mantle source of the underplated basic magma显示文摘The Mugouriwang Cenozoic volcanic rocks exposed in the north Qiangtang Block of Tibetan Plateau are mainly composed of basalt and andesitic-basalt,both characterized by the lower SiO2 (51%―54%),high refractory elements (i.e. Mg,Cr,Ni) as well as the moderate enrichment in light rare earth elements (LREE) relative to a slight depleted in Eu and high strength field elements (HFSE,i.e. Nb,Ta,Ti). Be-sides,the fairly low Sm/Yb value (3.07―4.35) could signify that the rocks should be derived directly from partial melting of the spinel lherzolite at the upper part of the asthenosphere. These rocks have radiogenic Sr and Pb (87Sr/86Sr = 0.705339 to 0.705667; 208Pb/204Pb = 38.8192 to 38.8937; 207Pb/204Pb = 15.6093 to 15.6245; 206Pb/204Pb = 18.6246 to 18.6383),and non-radiogenic Nd (143Nd/144Nd = 0.512604 to 0.512639; εNd = +0.02 to -0.66) in agreement with those values of the BSE mantle reservoir. The DUPAL anomaly of the rocks can be evidently attested by the △8/4Pb = 66.82 to 74.53 ,△7/4Pb = 9.88 to 11.42,△Sr>50,implying that the Mugouriwang volcanic rock is likely to be generated by partial melting of a Gondwana-bearing asthenospheric mantle ever matasomatised by the fluid from subduction zone. Depending on the previous study on the high-K calc-alkaline intermediate-felsic volcanics in the study area, this paper proposed that the fluids derived from the subducted Lhasa Block metasomatised the asthenosphere beneath the Qiangtang Block, and induced its partial melting, and then the melt under-plated the thickened Qiangtang lithosphere and caused the generation of the Cenozoic adakite-like felsic magmas in the Qiangtang region.LAI ShaoCong QIN JiangFeng LI YongFei LONG Ping 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,7:7
Early–Middle Triassic Intrusions in Western Inner Mongolia, China: Implications for the Final Orogenic Evolution in Southwestern Xing-Meng Orogenic Belt显示文摘The end-Permian to Early–Middle Triassic magmatic rocks in Inner Mongolia can provide valuable insights into the relationships between the collisional processes and the magmatic responses during the final orogenic evolution of Xing-Meng orogenic belt(XMOB). This paper presents zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopes, whole rock geochemical and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic data for the Early–Middle Triassic diabases and monzogranites from the Langshan area, southwestern XMOB. Our results suggest that the studied diabases and monzogranites were respectively formed during Early Triassic and Middle Triassic. The Early Triassic diabases are characterized by 'arc-like' geochemical signatures, including enrichment in Rb, U and K, and depletion in Nb, Ta, P and Ti. They have negative to weak positive εNd(t) values(-3.1 to +1.5) and relatively high initial ratios of 208 Pb/204 Pb(35.968–37.346), 207 Pb/204 Pb(15.448–15.508) and 206 Pb/204 Pb(16.280–17.492), indicating a subduction-metasomatized enriched lithospheric mantle source. Their low Ba/Rb(2.72–6.56), Ce/Y(0.97–1.39) and(Tb/Yb)N ratios(1.31–1.45) suggest that the parental magma was likely originated from low degree partial melting of the phlogopite-bearing lherzolite in a spinel-stability field. The Middle Triassic monzogranites show high Sr/Y ratios, low Mg O, Cr and Ni contents, high Zr/Sm ratios(40–64), negative zircon εHf(t) values(-25.8 to-8.8), as well as relatively flat heavy rare earth element patterns. They were likely derived from low degree partial melting of a moderately thickened ancient lower crust. The diabases and the slightly postdated high Sr/Y granites in this study represent the magmatic responses to the final orogenic evolution in the southwestern XMOB. Together with regional works, we propose that the slab break-off of the Paleo-Asian oceanic lithosphere following the terminal collision between the North China Craton and the South Mongolia terranes triggered asthenospheric upwelling, and the ongoing convergence further initiated moderately crustal thickening and uplift in the XMOB.Min Liu Shaocong Lai Da Zhang Renzhi Zhu Jiangfeng Qin Yongjun Di 2019Journal of Earth Science2019,30,5:4
Early-Cretaceous Syenites and Granites in the Northeastern Tengchong Block, SW China: Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications显示文摘Whole-rock major and trace element and Sr-Nd isotopic data, together with zircon LA ICPMS in-situ U-Pb and Hf isotopic data of the syenites and granites in the Tengchong Block are reported in order to understand their petrogenesis and tectonic implications. Zircon U-Pb data gives the emplacement ages of ca. 115.3±0.9 Ma for syenites and 115.7±0.8 Ma for granites, respectively. The syenites are characterized by low SiO_2 content(62.01–63.03 wt%) and notably high Na_2O content(7.04–7.24 wt%) and Na_2O/K_2O ratios(2.02–2.10), low MgO, Fe_2O_3 T and TiO_2, enrichment of LILEs(large-ion lithophile element) such as Rb, Th, U, K, and Pb) and obvious depletion HFSE(high field strength element; e.g. Nb, Ta, P, and Ti) with clearly negative Eu anomalies(d Eu=0.53–0.56). They also display significant negative whole-rock εNd(t) values of-6.8 and zircon εHf(t) values(-9.11 to-0.27, but one is +5.30) and high initial ^(87) Sr/^(86) Sr=0.713013. Based on the data obtained in this study, we suggest that the ca. 115.3 Ma syenites were possibly derived from a sodium-rich continental crustal source, and the fractionation of some ferro-magnesian mineral and plagioclase might occur during the evolution of magma. The granites have high SiO_2 content(71.35–74.47 wt%), metaluminous to peraluminous, low Rb/Ba, Rb/Sr, and Al_2O_3/(MgO+FeOT+TiO_2) ratios and moderate(Al_2O_3+MgO+FeOT+TiO_2) content. They show low initial ^(87) Sr/^(86) Sr(0.703408 to 0.704241) and εNd(t) values(-3.8 to-3.5), plotted into the evolutionary trend between basalts and lower crust. Hence, we suggest that the granites were derived from the melting of mixing sources in the ancient continental crust involving some metabasaltic materials and predominated metasedimentary greywackes. Together with data in the literatures, we infer that the Early Cretaceous magmatism in the Tengchong block was dominated by magmas generated by the partial melting of ancient crustal material, which represent the products that associated to the closure of Bangong-Nujiang Meso-Tethys.ZHU Renzhi LAI Shaocong QIN Jiangfeng ZHAO Shaowei 2018Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2018,92,4:4
Geochemical characteristics of Bikou volcanic group and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic composition: Evidence for breakup event in the north margin of Yangtze plate, Jining era显示文摘The geodynamic setting of the Bikou volcanic group is a critical question to trace the Precambrain tectonic framework and evolution for the Yangtze plate. This study has suggested that the Bikou volcanic group is composed of several residual oceanic crust units: MORB (mid-ocean ridge basalt), Alk-OIB (alkaline ocean island basalt) and Th-OIB (tholeiitic ocean island basalt) as well as subduction-related volcanic rocks. According to field observation, those distinct rocks occurred collectively in form of tectonic contact, implying that the Bikou volcanic group was an ophiolitic mélange. Coupled with geochronological data, a perished oceanic basin at the northern margin of the Yangtze block during Neoproterozoic was tested by this ophiolitic mélange. Meanwhile, the isogeochemical data suggest that the ocean occurred in the Southern Hemisphere identical to Indian, South Atlantic and South Pacific oceans in terms of their Dupal anomalies, and the original source of the rocks could be probably mixing by EMⅠand EMⅡ component caused by dehydration melting of subducting oceanic crust during subduction process. On the basis of geochemical characteristics of the studied rocks, the Bikou volcanic group could imply that a partial breakup event occurred in the northern margin of Yangtze plate during the Neoproterozoic era.LI YongFei LAI ShaoCong QIN JiangFeng LIU Xin WANG Juan 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,z2:4
Cenozoic volcanic rocks in the Belog Co area, Qiangtang, northern Tibet, China: Petrochemical evidence for partial melting of the mantle-crust transition zone显示文摘Neogene volcanic rocks in the Belog Co area, Qiangtang, northern Tibet, are represented by a typical intermediate-basic and intermediate alkaline rock association, with latite-trachyte as the main rock type. The results of chemical analysis are: SiO2=52%–62%, Al2O3>15%, Na2O/K2O>1 and MgO<3.30%. In addition, the volcanic rocks are LREE-enriched with LREE/HREE=10–13, (La/Yb)N=15–19, and show a weak negative Eu anomaly with δEu=0.71–0.89. The close relationship between Mg# and SiO2 and the co-variation of the magmatophile elements and ultra-magmatophile elements such as La/Sm-La and Cr-Tb indicate that this association of volcanic rocks is the product of comagmatic fractional crystallization. The rock association type and lower Sm/Yb values (Sm/Yb=3.23–3.97) imply that this association of volcanic rocks should have originated from partial melting of spinel lherzolite in the lithospheric mantle. On the other hand, the weak negative Eu anomaly and relative depletion in Nb, Ta and Ti reflect the features of terrigenous magma. So the Neogene Belog Co alkaline volcanic rocks should be the result of partial melting of the special crust-mantle transition zone on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.LAI Shaocong QIN Jiangfeng LI Yongfeng LIU Xin 2007Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2007,26,3:3
Post-collisional plutonism with adakitic signatures:The Triassic Yangba granodiorite (Bikou terrane, northern Yangtze Block)显示文摘The post-collisional Yangba granodiorite intruded into the Bikou metasedimentary-volcanic group, southern Mianlue Suture, central China. The host granodiorites contain many mafic microgranular enclaves which have acicular apatite, phenocrysts of host granodiorites, implying that the enclaves have been incorporated as magma globules into host granodioritic magma and undergone rapid cooling. The variation trends of major and trace ele- ments between enclaves and host rocks suggest a mixing and mingling process with respect to their petrogenesis. The mafic microgranular enclaves are characterized by shoshonite with SiO2≤63%, σ (4.54–6.18)>3.3, high K2O content (4.22%–6.04%), K2O/Na2O>1; in the K2O-SiO2 diagram, all the samples plot in the shoshonite field, which are enriched in LILE and LREE, with obvious Nb, Ta negative anomalies, indicating a subducting fluid-metasomatised mantle source. Zircon LA-ICP-MS dating of the granodiorites yielded an age of 215.4±8.3 Ma, indicating they were formed during the late-orogenic or post-collisional stage (≤242±21 Ma) of the South Qinling Mountain Belt. The host granodiorites have many close compositional similarities to high-silica adakites from su- pra-subduction zone setting, but tend to have a higher concentration of K2O (3.22%–3.84%) and Mg#. Chon- drite-normalized rare-earth element patterns are characterized by high ratios of (La/Yb)N, the extreme HREE deple- tion and a lack of significant Eu anomalies. In conjunction with the high abundances of Ba and Sr as well as the low abundances of Y and HREE, these patterns suggest a feldspar-poor, garnet ± amphibole-rich fractionation mineral assemblage. High Mg# values demonstrate that the host granodiorites were contaminated by enclave magma. On a whole, integrated geological and geochemical studies suggested the Yangba granodiorites and their mafic micro- granular enclaves resulted from mixing of enriched mantle-derived shoshonitic magma and thickened lower crust-derived felsic magma. In combination with previous studies we consider that the Yangba granodiorites were likely to represent underplating activities and delamination of the lower crust during the late orogenic stage in west- ern Qinling Orogenic Belt.QIN Jiangfeng LAI Shaocong LI Yongfei 2008Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2008,27,1:2
Late Triassic Biotite Monzogranite from the Western Litang Area,Yidun Terrane,SW China: Petrogenesis and Tectonic Implications显示文摘The Late Triassic igneous rocks in the Yidun terrane can provide vital insights into the evolution of Plaeo-Tethys in western China. We present new zircon U-Pb, whole-rock geochemistry, and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic data for the Litang biotite monzogranites, Yidun terrane. The biotite monzogranites have a zircon U-Pb age of 206.1±1.0 Ma(MSWD=1.9,n=30), which indicates Late Triassic magmatism. The biotite monzogranites display I-type affinity, high Na_2O(3.38-3.60 wt%) contente, medii SiO_2(67.12-69.13 wt%), and low P_2 O_5 contents(0.10~0.12 wt%). They enriched in Rb,and Ba and depleted in Nb and Ta, with negative Eu anomalies(Eu/Eu*=0.74—0.81). They have evolved Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic composition, i.e.,(^(87) Sr/^(86 )Sr)i=0.714225 to 0.714763, negative ?_(Nd(t)) values of -2.0 to-2.6 with two-stage Nd model ages ranging from 1.01 to 1.05 Ga, negative ?_(Ht)(t)) values o f-3.4 to-4.1 with two-stage Hf model ages of 1.85 to1.88 Ga, suggesting a matured crustal sources. Their low Al_2O_3/TiO_2 ratios and medium Cao/Na_2O ratios, medium Mg~# and SiO_2 contents, low [molar Al_2O_3/(MgO+FeO^T)] values, and high [molar Cao/(MgO+FeO^T)] values indicate that the Litang biotite monzogranite was formed by partial melting of metabasaltic rocks. Based on the previous studies, we propose that the Litang biotite monzogranite derived from the westward subduction and closure of the Ganzi-Litang ocean during the Late Triassic-The mantle wedge-derived mafic melts provided sufficient heat for partial melting of ancient metabasalt protolith within the middle-lower crust.ZHU Yu LAI Shaocong QIN Jiangfeng ZHANG Zezhong ZHANG Fangyi 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,2:1

Paleozoic Tectonic Switch in the North Qinling Orogenic Belt:Constraints from the Paleozoic Granites from the Northern Qinling Migmatite Terrane显示文摘The variations in source rocks and melting conditions of granites can provide essential clues for the crustal magmatic response in orogenic process.Based on geochronology,whole-rock and mineral chemistry, this paper reveals two different granites in the Northern Qinling migmatite complex, which reveal obvious differences in source region and melting condition. The older granodiorite(402±0.8 Ma)displays typical Na-rich adakite affinity,i.e.,high Na_(2)O/K_(2)O(2.04 to 2.64)and Sr/Y(96 to 117)ratios,they have relative evolved isotopic compositions(ε_(Nd)(t)=-0.52 to-0.04;zirconε_(Hf)(t)=-0.06 to+7.78).The younger leucogranite(371±2 Ma)displays higher SiO_(2)(72.32 to 73.45 wt%),lower(TFeO+MgO+CaO+TiO_(2))contents(<2 wt%)and depleted Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic compositions(i.e.,ε_(Nd)(t)=+2.6 to+3.0;zirconε_(Hf)(t)=+5.94 to+14.12),as well as high 10000×Ga/Al and TFe O/Mg O ratios, indicating that they represent highly fractionated I-type granites that derived from melting of juvenile crust. The variations in source rocks and melting condition of the two granites indicating a tectonic switch from compression to extension in 400 to 370 Ma,this switch is later than that in the eastern section of the North Qinling, indicating a scissor collision process between the South Qinling and North China Craton(NCC)in Devonian era.QIN Jiangfeng LAI Shaocong LONG Xiaoping 2023Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2023,97,3:1

Constructing the latest Neoproterozoic to Early Paleozoic multiple crust-mantle interactions in western Bainaimiao arc terrane, southeastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘Identifying the crust-mantle interactions in association with the evolution of the Precambrian microcontinents provides critical constraints on the accretionary evolution in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB).The Bainaimiao arc terrane(BAT)is one of the most important Precambrian microcontinents in southeastern CAOB,however, few studies have paid attention to the types and the evolving processes of the crust-mantle interactions that occurred before its final accretion onto the northern North China Craton. This study presents an integrated study of geochronology, zircon Hf isotope and whole-rock geochemistry on the latest Neoproterozoic diabases and the Early Paleozoic arc intrusions in the western BAT.The latest Neoproterozoic(ca.546 Ma)diabases display low SiO2(46.52-49.24 wt.%)with high MgO(8.23-14.41 wt.%),Cr(66-542 ppm)and Ni(50-129 ppm),consisting with mantle origin.Their highly negative zirconεHf(t)(-12.0 to-24.7)and high Fe/Mn ratios(62.1-81.7)further indicate a significantly enriched mantle source.Considering that the BAT maybe initially separated from the Tarim Craton with a thickened crustal root,we propose that these diabases were generated through partial melting of an enriched lithospheric mantle source that had been hybridized by lower-crustal eclogites during foundering of the BAT lower crust. The Early Paleozoic(ca.475-417 Ma)arc intrusions in western BAT can be divided into PeriodsⅠandⅡat approximately 450 Ma.The PeriodⅠ(>450 Ma)intrusions contain abundant mafic minerals like hornblende and pyroxene, and show positive zirconεHf(t)(+1.5 to+10.9).They are predominantly medium-K calc-alkaline with broad correlations of SiO2 versus various major and trace elements, which correlate well with the experimental melts produced by the fractional crystallization of primitive hydrous arc magmas at 7 kbar.We assume they were formed through mid-crustal differentiation of the mantle wedge-derived hydrous basaltic melts.By contrast, the PeriodⅡ(≤450 Ma)intrusions are characterized by variable zircon eHf(t)(-15.0 to+11.5)with irregular variations in most major and trace elements, which are more akin to the arc magmas generated in an open system. The general occurrence of elder inherited zircons, along with the relatively high Mg#(>45)of some samples, call upon a derivation from the reworking of the previously subduction-modified BAT lower crust with the input of mantle-derived mafic components. In combination with the Early Paleozoic tectonic melanges flanking western BAT,we infer that the compositional transition from PeriodⅠtoⅡcan be attributed to the tectonic transition from south-dipping subduction of Solonker ocean to north-dipping subduction of South Bainaimiao ocean in southeastern CAOB.The above results shed light not only on the latest Neoproterozoic to Early Paleozoic multiple crust-mantle interactions in western BAT,but also on the associated crustal construction processes before the final arc-continent accretion.Min Liu Shaocong Lai Da Zhang Renzhi Zhu Jiangfeng Qin Guangqiang Xiong Haoran Wang 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,5:1
Genesis of the Madang Cenozoic sodic alkaline basalt in the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau and its continental dynamic implications显示文摘The Madang Cenozoic sodic alkaline basalt occurred in the eastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, where is a key tectonic transform region of Tibet, North China, and Yangtze blocks. The basalts are characterized by the variation in SiO2=42%―51%, Na2O/K2O>4, belonging to the sodic alkaline basalt series. The rocks are enriched in Ba, Th, Nb, Ta, relative to a slight depletion in K, Rb in the trace and rare earth element (REE) spider diagrams that are similar to the typical oceanic island alkaline basalt. The Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic compositions suggest that they are derived from a mixed mantle reservoir. The western Qinling-Songpan tectonic region was controlled by Tibet, North China and Yangtze blocks since Cenozoic, therefore, the region was in the stage of the substance converge from the mantle to upper crust, producing a mixed mantle reservoir in the studied area. The Madang basalts occurred in the specific tectonic background, they result from partial melting of a mixed asthenospheric mantle reservoir in the western Qinling-Songpan tectonic node.LAI ShaoCong ZHANG GuoWei LI YongFei QIN JiangFeng 2007Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,z2:1
Granitic Magmatism in Eastern Tethys Domain(Western China) and their Geodynamic Implications显示文摘Western China locates in the eastern section of the Tethys domain, granitic rocks in this region with variable formation ages and geochemistry record key information about the crust-mantle structure and thermal evolution during the convergent process of Tethys. In this study, we focus on some crucial granitic magmatism in the western Yangtze, Qinling orogen, and western Sanjiang tectonic belt, where magma sequence in the convergent orogenic belt can provide important information about the crust-mantle structure, thermal condition and melting regime that related to the evolution processes from Pre-to Neo-Tethys. At first, we show some features of Pre-Tethyan magmatism, such as Neoproterozoic magmatism(ca. 870–740 Ma) in the western margin of the Yangtze Block were induced by the assembly and breakup of the Rodinia supercontinent. The complication of voluminous Neoproterozoic igneous rocks indicated that the western Yangtze Block underwent the thermodynamic evolution from hot mantle-cold crust stage(ca. 870–850 Ma) to hot mantle and crust stage(ca. 850–740 Ma). The Neoproterozoic mantle sources beneath the western Yangtze Block were progressively metasomatized by subduction-related compositions from slab fluids(initial at ca. 870 Ma), sediment melts(initial at ca. 850 Ma), to oceanic slab melts(initial at ca. 825–820 Ma) during the persistent subduction process. Secondly, the early Paleozoic magmatism can be well related to three distinctive stages(variable interaction of mantle-crust to crustal melting to variable sources) from an Andeans-type continental margin to collision to extension in response to the evolution of ProtoTethys and final assembly of Gondwana continent. Thirdly, the Paleo-Tethys magmatism, Triassic granites in the Qinling orogenic display identical formation ages and Lu-Hf isotopic compositions with the related mafic enclaves, indicate a coeval melting event of lower continental crust and mantle lithosphere in the Triassic convergent process and a continued hot mantle and crust thermal condition through the interaction of subducted continental crust and upwelling asthenosphere. Finally, the Meso-and Neo-Tethyan magmatism: Early Cretaceous magmatism in the Tengchong Block are well responding to the subduction and closure of Bangong-Nujiang Meso-Tethys, recycled sediments metasomatized mantle by subduction since 130 Ma and subsequently upwelling asthenosphere since ca. 122 Ma that causes melting of heterogeneous continental crust until the final convergence, this process well recorded the changing thermal condition from hot mantlecold crust to hot mantle and crust; The Late Cretaceous to Early Cenozoic magmatism well recorded the processes from Neo-Tethyan ocean slab flat subduction, steep subduction, to initial collision of India-Asia, it resulted in a series of continental arc magmatism with enriched mantle to crustal materials at Late Cretaceous, increasing depleted and/or juvenile materials at the beginning of early Cenozoic, and increasing evolved crustal materials in the final stage, implying a continued hot mantle and crust condition during that time. Then we can better understand the magmatic processes and variable melting from the mantle to crust during the evolution of Tethys, from Pre-, Paleo-, Meso-, to Neo-, both they show notably intensive interaction of crust-mantle and extensive melting of the heterogeneous continent during the final closure of Tethys and convergence of blocks, and thermal perturbation by a dynamic process in the depth could be the first mechanism to control the thermal condition of mantle and crust and associated composition of magmatism.LAI Shaocong ZHU Renzhi QIN Jiangfeng ZHAO Shaowei ZHU Yu 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,2:0
Progress and prospects in Mg-alloy super-sized high pressure die casting for automotive structural components显示文摘Since the introduction of Tesla's Giga-Casting process, the automotive industry has widely accepted the concept of super-sized structural components due to their significant potential for enhancing the light-weighting of both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles. These super-sized components can be further lightened by using Mg alloys because of their exceptional lightweight characteristics, with a density only two-thirds that of aluminium alloys and one-fourth that of steel. This outstanding attribute offers the attractive prospect of achieving significant weight reduction without compromising structural integrity. This review examines studies on the Mg-alloy HighPressure Die Casting(HPDC) process, providing insights into the future prospects of incorporating Mg alloys into super-sized automotive HPDC components.Tian Li Jiangfeng Song Ang Zhang Guoqiang You Yan Yang Bin Jiang Xian Yue Qin Cheng Xu Fushen Pan 2023Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,11:0
