| 3 | Elucidating and manipulating pressure-induced water intrusion–extrusion in tunable hydrophobic Co/Zn bimetallic ZIFs:Roles of pore size and hydrogen bond显示文摘Porous heterogeneous lyophobic systems(HLSs)find potential applications in energy restoring, dissipating, and absorbing. However, the development of controllable HLSs still lacks rational structure design of nanoporous materials matching the molecular sizes of adopted liquids.Besides that, thoroughly understanding the underlying transportation mechanism in the confined nano channels is greatly challenging. In this work,a series of Co/Zn bimetallic zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIFs)with tunable structures were synthesized via regulating the Co to Zn ratios and employed to investigate the intrusion–extrusion of liquid water in confined nanopores.Structural characterizations confirm the heterometallic coordination in the Co/Zn-doped frameworks.Water intrusion–extrusion experiments unlock the relationship between the intrusion pressure and the nanopore size and realize the evolution of the HLSs between molecular spring and shock-absorber.In addition, cycling tests indicate the reversible structure change of Co/Zn ZIFs encountering pressure-induced water intrusion. In combination with molecular dynamics simulations,we present that the water multimers intrude into nanopores of ZIFs in chain-like forms along with dissociation of hydrogen bonds(HBs).Water molecules in the pre-intrusion state exhibit reduced HBs in response to the increase of pressure and linear structure with 1.6–3.0 HBs on average. After transition to the post-intrusion situation, the associative configuration of water tends to exhibit the tetrahedral structure.Herein,we highlight the roles of pore size and HB in synergically dominating the pressure-induced intrusion–extrusion of liquid water in hydrophobic nanopores.Furthermore, the present work can also guide the development of functional guest–host systems based on porous architectures. | Diyi Fang Chuanlei Liu Yu Chen Qilong Peng Kongguo Wu Yuxiang Chen Hao Jiang Yuan Wu Benxian Shen Qiumin Wu Di Wu Hui Sun | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,1: | 0 |
| 4 | Ultra-high current gain tunneling hot-electron transfer amplifier based on vertical van der Waals heterojunctions显示文摘Due to the backscattered parasitic current from the barriers, the current gain of the widely used amplifier is far from ideal. In this work,we demonstrate a vertical Au/Al2O3/BP/MoS2 tunneling hot-electron transfer amplifier with a hot-electron emitter-base junction and a p-n junction as the base-collector barrier.Fairly monoenergetic electrons traverse through the ultrathin Al2O3 dielectric via tunneling, which are accelerated and shifted to the collector region. The devices exhibit a high current on-off ratio of>105 and a high current density(JC)of∼1,000 A/cm2 at the same time.Notably, this work demonstrates a common-emitter current gain(β)value of 1,384 with a nanowatt power consumption at room temperature, which is a record high value among the all 2D based hot-electron transistors.Furthermore, the temperature dependent performance is investigated, and theβvalue of 1,613 is obtained at 150 K.Therefore, this work presents the potential of 2D based transistors for high-performance applications. | Xu Zhao Peng Chen Xingqiang Liu Guoli Li Xuming Zou Yuan Liu Qilong Wu Yufang Liu Woo Jong Yu Lei Liao | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,8: | 0 |

| 6 | A weak Galerkin-mixed finite element method for the Stokes-Darcy problem显示文摘In this paper,we propose a new numerical scheme for the coupled Stokes-Darcy model with the Beavers-Joseph-Saffman interface condition. We use the weak Galerkin method to discretize the Stokes equation and the mixed finite element method to discretize the Darcy equation.A discrete inf-sup condition is proved and the optimal error estimates are also derived.Numerical experiments validate the theoretical analysis. | Hui Peng Qilong Zhai Ran Zhang Shangyou Zhang | 2021 | Science China Mathematics2021,64,10: | 0 |
| 7 | Subcellular Distribution and Chemical Forms of Cadmium in the Medicine Food Homology Plant Platycodon grandiflorum(Jacq.)A.DC.显示文摘Although Platycodon grandiflorum(Jacq.)A.DC.is a renowned medicine food homology plant, reports of excessive cadmium(Cd)levels are common, which affects its safety for clinical use and food consumption. To enable its Cd levels to be regulated or reduced,it is necessary to first elucidate the mechanism of Cd uptake and accumulation in the plant,in addition to its detoxification mechanisms. This present study used inductively couple plasma-mass-spectrometry to analyze the subcellular distribution and chemical forms of Cd in different tissues of P.grandiflorum.The experimental results showed that Cd was mainly accumulated in the roots[predominantly in the cell wall(50.96%-61.42%)],and it was found primarily in hypomobile and hypotoxic forms. The proportion of Cd in the soluble fraction increased after Cd exposure, and the proportion of insoluble phosphate Cd and oxalate Cd increased in roots and leaves, with a higher increase in oxalate Cd.Therefore,it is likely that root retention mechanisms, cell wall deposition, vacuole sequestration, and the formation of low mobility and low toxicity forms are tolerance strategies for Cd detoxification used by P.grandiflorum.The results of this study provide a theoretical grounding for the study of Cd accumulation and detoxification mechanisms in P.grandiflorum, and they can be used as a reference for developing Cd limits and standards for other medicine food homology plants. | Jia An Xiang Wang Yajiang Jing Jianping Huang Qilong Wang Gang Zhang Jing Gao Liang Peng Wenli Huang Yonggang Yan | 2023 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,5: | 0 |
