1Arsenic hyperaccumulator Pteris Vittata L. and its arsenic accumulation显示文摘An arsenic hyperaccumulator Pteris vittata L. (Chinese brake) was first discovered in China by means of field survey and greenhouse cultivation. Field survey showed that Chinese brake had large accumulating capacity to arsenic; the orders of arsenic content in different parts of the fern were as follows: leaves>leafstalks>roots, which is totally different from that of ordinary plants; bioaccumulation coefficients of the above ground parts of the fern decreased as a power function of soil arsenic contents. In the control of pot trials with normal unpolluted soil containing 9mg/kg of arsenic, the bioaccumulation coefficients of the above ground parts and rhizoids of Chinese brake were as high as 71 and 80 respectively. Greenhouse cultivation in the contaminated soil from mining areas has shown that more than 1 times greater arsenic can be accumulated in the leaves of the fern than that of field samples with the largest content of 5070 mg/kg As on a dry matter basis. 2DNA microarray synthesis by using PDMS molecular stamps (Ⅲ)——Optimization for the reaction conditions显示文摘Optimization for the technological processes of fabricating oligonucleotide microarray by the molecular stamping method is studied in this note. Three factors that affect the pressing coupling reactions of the nucleosides are focused on: the stability of the chemical activities of the reaction solutions, the contamination of the remain of the reactive nucleotides among the different spots on the chip, and the influence of the capping reaction on the hybridization result. The experiments show that the acetonitrile solution of tetrazole and nucleoside monomer could maintain sufficient reactive activity for more than 10 h. An effective method has been used and proved to eliminate the residual reactive nucleosides on chip with small molecules containing hydroxylgroup. 4Drying characteristics of biological porous media during convective drying显示文摘Experiments with potatoes were carried out in order to analyze the variation of the temperature and the mean dry basis moisture content over time,the effect of the drying conditions on the drying rate,and the relationship between deformation and dry basis moisture content.A two-way sequentially coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical math model was developed on the basis of Fickian diffusion theory,Fourier’s law of heat conduction and thermoelasticity mechanics in order to analyze the spatio-temporal distributions of moisture,temperature and drying stresses in the potatoes.The transient mathematical model,composed of a system of partial differential equations,was solved by finite difference methods.The numerical results obtained by using the mathematical model were in good agreement with the experimental data.The variations in temperature and moisture distributions,drying curves and stresses within potatoes over time were simulated,and the ways in which these are affected by the drying conditions were discussed.This work could help in developing an understanding of the relationship between mass and heat transfer,shrinkage,stress,and physical degradation of biological materials.Wang Huilin Lu Tao Zhang Quanguo 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,5:1

8Ultra-high-temperature application of MXene: Stabilization of 2D Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) for cross-scale strengthening and toughening of 3D TiC显示文摘Transition metal carbide/nitride cores within MXenes make them considerably useful for ultra-high-temperature reinforcement.However,extensive research on Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene has revealed its tendency to undergo a phase transition to TiCy at temperatures above 800℃due to high activity of a superficial Ti atomic layer.Herein,spark plasma sintering of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and TiC is performed to prevent the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) phase transition at temperatures up to 1900℃through the fabrication of composites at a pressure of 50 MPa.Using a focused ion beam scanning electron microscope to separate layered substances in the composites and examining selected area diffraction spots in a transmission electron microscope enabled identification of non-phase-transitioned MXene.First-principles calculations based on density functional theory indicated the formation of strong chemical bonding interfaces between Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and TiC,which imposed a stability constraint on the Ti atomic layer at the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) surface.Mechanical performance tests,such as three-point bending and fracture toughness analysis,demonstrated that the addition of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) can effectively improve the cross-scale strengthening and toughening of the TiC matrix,providing a new path for designing and developing two-dimensional(2D)carbides cross-scale-enhanced three-dimensional(3D)carbides with the same elements relying on a wide variety of MXenes.Lu Liu Guobing Ying Quanguo Jiang Dong Wen Peng Wang Meng Wu Ziying Ji Yongting Zheng Xiang Wang 2024Journal of Advanced Ceramics2024,13,1:0
9Constructing 3D interweaved MXene/graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets/graphene nanoarchitectures for promoted electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution显示文摘The technique of electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) represents a development trend of clean energy generation and conversion,while the electrode catalysts are bound to be the core unit in the electrochemical HER system.Herein,we demonstrate a bottom-up approach to the construction of three-dimensional (3D) interconnected ternary nanoarchitecture originated from Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene,graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets and graphene (MX/CN/RGO) through a convenient co-assembly process.By virtue of the 3D porous frameworks with ultrathin walls,large specific surface areas,optimized electronic structures,high electric conductivity,the resulting MX/CN/RGO nanoarchitecture expresses an exceptional HER performance with a low onset potential of only 38 m V,a small Tafel slop of 76 m V dec^(-1) as well as long lifespan,all of which are more competitive than those of the bare Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x),g-C_(3)N_(4),graphene as well as binary MX/RGO and CN/RGO electrocatalysts.Theoretical simulations further verify that the ternary MX/CN/RGO nanoarchitecture with ameliorative band structure is able to facilitate the electron transport and meanwhile offer multistage catalytically active sites,thereby guaranteeing rapid HER kinetics during the electrocatalytic process.Haiyan He Yuxian Chen Cuizhen Yang Lu Yang Quanguo Jiang Huajie Huang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,4:0
