1The evidence for the existence of methane seepages in the northern South China Sea:abnormal high methane concentrations in bottom waters显示文摘The methane concentration of water samples at five stations collected by the CTD rosette water sampler in the areas of southwest Dongsha Islands and the Xisha Trough was analyzed by the gas-stripping method on aboard ship. It shows abnormal high methane concentrations in near bottom water samples at three stations. In the southwest Dongsha Islands area, the methane concentration of 4.25 and 10.64 nmol/dm3 occurs in near bottom water samples at Stas E105A and E106, respectively. In the Xisha Trough area, the high methane concentrations of 5.17, 8.48 and 8.70 nmol/dm3 in water depths of 1 750, 1 900 and 2 050 m, respectively, have been observed at Sta. E413. It is believed that the abnormal high methane concentrations are generated from the leakage of methane from sediments. Combining with previous geophysical and geochemical data from these two areas, this was probably related to the submarine gas hydrates decomposition and cold seep system. In May 2007, gas hydrate samples were successfully obtained by the drilling in the Shenhu Sea area located in the southwest Dongsha Islands area. 2Molecular Cytogenetic Characterization of a Wheat-Leymus mollis 3D(3Ns) Substitution Line with Resistance to Leaf Rust显示文摘Leymus mollis(Trin.)Pilger(NsNsXmXm,2n?28),a wild relative of common wheat,possesses many potentially valuable traits that could be transferred to common wheat during breeding programs.In this study,the karyotypic constitution of a wheat e L.mollis 3D(3Ns#1)disomic substitution line isolated from the F5progeny of octoploid Tritileymus M842-16 Triticum durum cv.D4286,which was designated as 10DM57,was determined using genomic in situ hybridization(GISH),fluorescent in situ hybridization(FISH),SSR markers,and ESTSTS markers.Screening of mitosis and meiosis showed that 10DM57 had a chromosome karyotype of 2n?42?21II.GISH indicated that10DM57 was a line with 40 chromosomes from wheat and two of the Ns chromosomes from L.mollis,which formed a ring bivalent in pollen mother cells at metaphase I.FISH analysis showed that the chromosome 3D may be replaced by 3Ns#1 in 10DM57.DNA markers,including SSR and EST-STS primers,showed that the pair of wheat chromosome 3D in 10DM57 was substituted by the pair of chromosome 3Ns#1from L.mollis.Evaluation of the agronomic traits showed that,compared with its common wheat relative 7182,10DM57 was resistant to leaf rust while the spike length and number of spikes per plant were improved significantly,which correlated with a higher wheat yield.The new germplasm,10DM57,could be exploited as an intermediate material in wheat genetic and breeding programs.Yuhui Pang Xinhong Chen Jixin Zhao Wanli Du Xueni Cheng Jun Wu Yanli Li Liangming Wang Jing Wang Qunhui Yang 2014Journal of Genetics and Genomics2014,41,4:6
3Denitrification in Qi'ao Island coastal zone,the Zhujiang Estuary in China显示文摘Samples of sediments and the overlying water were collected in the Qi'ao Island coastal zone,the Zhujiang(Pearl River) Estuary(ZE).Denitrification rates,sediment oxygen demand(SOD),and fluxes of inorganic nitrogen compounds were investigated with N2 flux method,using a self-designed continuous flow through and auto-sampling system.The results indicate that the denitrification rates varied between 222 and 908 μmol/(m2·h) with an average of 499 μmol /(m2·h).During incubation,the sediments absorbed dissolved oxygen in the overlying water with SOD ranging from 300 to 2 363 μmol/(m2·h).The denitrification rates were highly correlated with the SOD(r2=0.77) regardless of the NO-3+NO-2 concentrations in the overlying water,organic carbon contents in sediments and water temperature,suggesting that the SOD was probably the main environmental factor controlling the denitrification in the Qi'ao Island coastal zone.There was a net flux of NO-3+NO-2 into the sediments from the overlying water.The NH+4 flux from sediments into water as the result of mineralization was between 12.3 and 210.3 μmol/(m2·h),which seems limited by both organic carbon content in sediment and dissolved oxygen concentration in the overlying water.WANG Hu ZHOU Huaiyang PENG Xiaotong YANG Qunhui QIN Chaomei YIN Xijie CHEN Guangqian 2009Acta Oceanologica Sinica2009,28,1:4
4Growth model of a hydrothermal low-temperature Si-rich chimney:Example from the CDE hydrothermal field,Lau Basin显示文摘The CDE hydrothermal field was first discovered during a Chinese cruise to the East Lau Basin Spreading Centre in 2007.Apart from significant amounts of loose Fe-Si-Mn(oxyhydr) oxide(referred to as oxide below) precipitates,a small Si-rich oxide chimney was also recovered on this cruise.In this study,we report on the mineralogical and geochemical analyses of this chimney and a model for its growth that has been developed.Based on the mineralogy and O isotope results,the chimney walls can be divided into four growth generations(layers) from the inner to the outer layers:amorphous opal and barite layer(precipitation temperature 68.5°C based on oxygen isotope determinations),a rod-like amorphous layer(precipitation temperature 39.6°C),a filamentous Fe-Si oxide layer,and an outer Fe-Mn oxide layer.Investigations based on SEM and EDS showed that neutrophilic Fe-oxidizing bacteria play an important role in the formation of this chimney,particularly in the outer two generations.In the first stage,the metabolic activity of the microbes results in the pervasive precipitation of the filamentous Fe-rich oxides inside a ring formed by some amorphous opal and barite;therefore,a loose porous layer forms.In the second stage,amorphous opal then precipitates inside this wall as a result of conductive cooling and gradually controls the mixing between the hydrothermal fluids and ambient seawaters.In the third stage,barite and some amorphous opal form from the higher temperature fluids at the summit of the chimney growth history.In the last stage,the chimney wall becomes thicker and denser and the exchange of hydrothermal fluids and seawater ceases.As a result,a Fe-Mn oxide layer precipitates onto the outer surface of the chimney wall as neutrophilic Fe-oxidizing bacteria reoccupy the surface of the chimney.This mineral sequence and the resultant growth generations are confirmed by the chemical characteristics of the chimney wall.Sr isotopes extracted from the Fe oxides of the four-generation wall generally show a decreasing trend of the 87 Sr/86 Sr ratios from the second layer to the inner layer(from 0.707008 to 0.705877) except for the outer layer(0.706502).The Sr isotope and chondrite normalized REE patterns of the corresponding bulk samples from the chimney wall also display a similar trend.Our study shows that the biogenic filament network plays a key role in the formation of the chimney in contrast to previous growth models of higher temperature chimneys,which often ignore the influence of biogenic factors.SUN ZhiLei ZHOU HuaiYang YANG QunHui YIN XiJie WANG Hu YAO HuiQiang DONG CongFang 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,10:4
5Sludge reduction during brewery wastewater treatment by hydrolyzation-food chain reactor system显示文摘During brewery wastewater treatment by a hydrolyzation-food chain reactor(FCR)system,sludge was recycled to the anaerobic segment.With the function of hydrolyzation acidification in the anaerobic segment and the processes of aerobic oxidation and antagonism,preda-tion,interaction and symbiosis among microbes in multi-level oxidation segment,residual sludge could be reduced effectively.The 6-month dynamic experiments show that the average chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal ratio was 92.6% and average sludge production of the aerobic segment was 8.14%,with the COD of the influent at 960–1720 mg/L and hydraulic retention time(HRT)of 12 h.Since the producedsludge could be recycled and hydrolyzed in the anaerobic segment,no excess sludge was produced during the steady running for this system.Lijie LI Qunhui WANG Xuesong LI Shuo YANG 2008Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2008,2,1:3
6Development and identification of a dwarf wheat-Leymus mollis double substitution line with resistance to yellow rust and Fusarium head blight显示文摘Leymus mollis (Trin.) Pilger (2n = 4x = 28, NsNsXmXm,), a wild relative of common wheat, possesses many potentially valuable traits for genetic improvement of wheat, including strong, short stems, long spikes with numerous spikelets, tolerance to drought and cold stresses, and resistance to many fungal and bacterial diseases. In the present study, a wheat-L. mollis double substitution line DM96 was selected from a F6 progeny of a cross between M842-16 (an octoploid Tritileymus line) and D4286 (a Triticum durum line) using genomic in situ hybridization (GISH), simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers, and expressed sequence tagged sequence site (EST-STS) markers. Chromosome analysis at mitosis and meiosis showed that DM96 had a chromosome constitution of 2n = 42 = 21II. GISH analysis indicated that DM96 carried 38 chromosomes from wheat and two homologous pairs of Ns chromosomes from L. mollis. Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) showed that chromosomes 2Ns and 3Ns from L. mollis had replaced wheat chromosomes 2D and 3D in DM96, which was confirmed by SSR and STS markers. The newly developed substitution line DM96 has shorter height, longer spikes and more kernels than its parents and showed high resistance to stripe rust and Fusarium head blight (FHB). 10The expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)/endostatin(ES)and VEGF receptor 2(VEGFR2)/ES is associated with NSCLC prognosis显示文摘Objective The aim of our study was to detect the expression of angiogenesis inhibitory proteins and angiogenesis promotive proteins in the postoperative tumor tissue of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients.We also investigated the relationship of protein expression with clinical characteristics and prognosis.Methods We examined the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),VEGF receptor 2(VEGFR2),and endostatin(ES)proteins in 255 specimens resected from NSCLC patients,using immune histochemistry(IHC).We then evaluated the relationships between the expression of the three proteins and clinical characteristics such as stage,histological type,differentiation,gender,tobacco use,and age.According to the value of VEGF/ES,we divided the cohort into angiogenesis-promoting group A,angiogenesis-inhibiting group A,and balance group A.The survival differences in the three groups were evaluated to determine the prognostic value of VEGF/ES.Similarly,we tested the prognostic value of VEGFR2/ES.Results VEGF-positive expression was observed in 93 patients(36.4%).VEGF expression was not correlated with the clinical characteristics.VEGFR2-positive expression was observed in 103 patients(40.4%).The expression of VEGFR2 was correlated with the clinical stage(χ^(2)=21.414,P=0.045)and histological type(χ^(2)=26.911,P=0.008).ES-positive expression was observed in 140 patients(54.9%).The expression of ES was correlated with the clinical stage(χ^(2)=26.504,P=0.009).When evaluating the prognostic values of VEGF/ES and VEGFR2/ES,the prognosis of the angiogenesis balance group was similar to that of the angiogenesis-inhibiting group.The minimum survival time was observed in the angiogenesis-promoting group.Conclusion VEGF/ES and VEGFR2/ES in resected tumors have prognostic value in postoperative NSCLC patients.The survival time of the population with predominant angiogenic factors was short.Yuan Yang Baohua Lu Baolan Li Weiying Li Mei Jiang Wentao Yue Qunhui Wang Tongmei Zhang 2021Oncology and Translational Medicine2021,7,4:1

13Application of Biochemical Fulvic Acid Potassium in Transplantation of Trees显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to clarify the application of biochemical fulvic acid potassium on the survival rate and growth of various trees transplanted in the process of landscaping.[Method]Two experimental treatments(i.e.decomposed organic fertilizer+biochemical fulvic acid potassium water soluble fertilizer,decomposed organic fertilizer+compound fertilizer)were designed to determine the changes in physical and chemical properties before and after soil treatment,and the survival rate,plant height and ground diameter of four different cultivated plants within one year,and the effects of applying biochemical fulvic acid potassium on cultivated plants were investigated.[Result]The soil organic matter,total nitrogen,alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen,soil available phosphorus,soil available potassium and p H value in the soil treated with decomposed organic fertilizer+biochemical fulvic acid potassium soluble fertilizer,and decomposed organic fertilizer+compound fertilizer increased significantly,and the soil bulk density decreased obviously.The survival rates,plant heights and ground diameters of four different cultivated plants were significantly improved after application of decomposed organic fertilizer+biochemical fulvic acid potassium water soluble fertilizer,and decomposed organic fer-tilizer+compound fertilizer(P<0.05).[Conclusion]The application of biochemical fulvic acid potassium on cultivated plants effectively improved soil fertility,increased the utilization of nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium,improved the growth of plants,and promoted the growth of landscaping plants after transplantation.Yang Qunhui He Xiang Bi Yunqing Yang Peiwen Zhang Qing Yang Mingying Shi Zhufeng Peng Rongzhen Wang Jiayin 2020Plant Diseases and Pests2020,11,2:1

17Analysis of Meteorological Epidemic Factors and Soil Improvement Controlling Technology of Tobacco Bacterial Wilt (Ralstonia solanacarum)显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to analyze the meteorological epidemic factors for occurrence and prevalence of tobacco bacterial wilt( Ralstonia solanacarum),and to study control effects of different soil conditioners on the bacterial disease in Gaoligongshan demonstration area of green,ecological,high quality tobacco leaf production. [Method] The plots attacked by tobacco bacterial wilt over the years were selected and the incidence of the disease was periodically surveyed in tobacco growth period in 2012,2103 and 2014,respectively. 10 d Effective accumulated temperature and rainfall were counted according to the meteorological data,and the relationship between meteorological factors and disease index was analyzed. The control effects of three kinds of soil conditioners ' Zhuanggenfeng',refined fulvic acid and lime on tobacco bacterial wilt were tested. [Result] The analysis results of meteorological factors showed that 10 d effective accumulated temperature and rainfall were positively correlated to disease index. The variation curve of 10 d effective accumulated temperature and rainfall reflected the change trend of disease index. The p H values were increased by 0. 57,0. 50 and 0. 72 respectively after applying ' Zhuanggenfeng',refined fulvic acid and lime. The average control effects on tobacco bacterial wilt were 60. 74%-62. 18%,53. 05%-59. 53%,and 48. 59%-58. 53%,respectively. [Conclusion] 10 d Effective accumulated temperature and rainfall could be used as important reference for disease forecasting and controlling.
