| 1 | Retrograde jejunogastric intussusception following Braun's jejunojejunostomy显示文摘Jejunogastric intussusception is a rare long term complication of Billroth Ⅱ gastrectomy. The case reported here is a 50 year old man with history of a Billroth Ⅱ gastrectomy and Braun's side-to-side jejunojejunal anastomosis who presented with hematemesis. On abdominal examination, there was a mass in the left iliac fossa. Computed tomography scan showed a retrograde jejunogastric intussusception across the gastrojejunostomy. On laparotomy, a retrograde intussusception of the distal jejunum through the jejunojejunal anastomosis and across the gastrojejunostomy with a gangrenous intussusceptum was found. The jejunojejunal anastomosis was taken down, the gangrenous segment was resected and bowel continuity was restored with two jejunojejunal anastomoses, proximal and distal to the gastrojejunostomy. The gastrojejunostomy was preserved. | 2 | Standard triple versus levofloxacin based regimen for eradication ofHelicobacter pylori显示文摘AIM:To compare the eradication rates for Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) and ulcer recurrence of standard triple therapy(STT) and levofloxacin based therapy(LBT).METHODS:Seventy-four patients with perforated duodenal ulcer treated with simple closure and found to be H.pylori infected on 3 mo follow up were randomized to receive either the STT group comprising of amoxicillin 1 g bid,clarithromycin 500 mg bid and omeprazole 20 mg bid or the LBT group comprising of amoxicillin 1 g bid,levofloxacin 500 mg bid and omeprazole 20 mg bid for 10 d each.The H.pylori eradication rates,side effects,compliance and the recurrence of ulcer were assessed in the two groups at 3 mo follow up.RESULTS:Thirty-four patients in the STT group and 32 patients in the levofloxacin group presented at 3 mo follow up.H.pylori eradication rates were similar with STT and the LBT groups on intention-to-treat(ITT) analysis(69% vs 80%,P = 0.425) and(79% vs 87%,P = 0.513) by per-protocol(PP) analysis respectively.Ulcer recurrence in the STT and LBT groups on ITT analysis was(20% vs 14%,P = 0.551) and(9% vs 6%,P = 1.00) by PP analysis.Compliance and side effects were also comparable between the groups.A complete course of STT costs Indian Rupees(INR) 1060.00,while LBT costs only INR 360.00.CONCLUSION:H.pylori eradication rates and the rate of ulcer recurrence were similar between the STT and LBT.The LBT is a more economical option compared to STT. | Raj Gopal Thirthar Palanivelu Elamurugan Vikram Kate Sadasivan Jagdish Debdatta Basu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Therapeutics2013，4，2： | 2 |

| 4 | Long-term and non-invasive in vivo tracking of DiD dye-labeled human hepatic progenitors in chronic liver disease models显示文摘BACKGROUND Chronic liver diseases(CLD)are the major public health burden due to the continuous increasing rate of global morbidity and mortality.The inherent limitations of organ transplantation have led to the development of stem cell-based therapy as a supportive and promising therapeutic option.However,identifying the fate of transplanted cells in vivo represents a crucial obstacle.AIM To evaluate the potential applicability of DiD dye as a cell labeling agent for longterm,and non-invasive in vivo tracking of transplanted cells in the liver.METHODS Magnetically sorted,epithelial cell adhesion molecule positive(1×106 cells/mL)fetal hepatic progenitor cells were labeled with DiD dye and transplanted into the livers of CLD-severe combined immunodeficiency(SCID)mice.Near-infrared(NIR)imaging was performed for in vivo tracking of the DiD-labeled transplanted cells along with colocalization of hepatic markers for up to 80 d.The existence of human cells within mouse livers was identified using Alu polymerase chain reaction and sequencing.RESULTS NIR fluorescence imaging of CLD-SCID mice showed a positive fluorescence signal of DiD at days 7,15,30,45,60,and 80 post-transplantation.Furthermore,positive staining of cytokeratin,c-Met,and albumin colocalizing with DiD fluorescence clearly demonstrated that the fluorescent signal of hepatic markers emerged from the DiD-labeled transplanted cells.Recovery of liver function was also observed with serum levels of glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase,glutamate-pyruvate transaminase,and bilirubin.The detection of human-specific Alu sequence from the transplanted mouse livers provided evidence for the survival of transplanted cells at day 80.CONCLUSION DiD-labeling is promising for long-term and non-invasive in vivo cell tracking,and understanding the regenerative mechanisms incurred by the transplanted cells. | Chaturvedula Tripura Srinivas Gunda Sandeep Kumar Vishwakarma Avinash Raj Thatipalli Jedy Jose Mahesh Kumar Jerald Aleem Ahmed Khan Gopal Pande | 2022 | World Journal of Hepatology2022，14，10： | 1 |
