1Characteristics of the modern pollen assemblages from different vegetation zones in Northeast China:Implications for pollen-based climate reconstruction显示文摘Northeast China is an essential area for studying the strength of East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM), due to its northernmost location in EASM domain. However, the lack of sufficient modern pollen data in this region hinders an effective interpretation of fossil pollen records and quantitative vegetation/climate reconstructions. Here, 44 surface pollen samples from forest, steppe, and meadow were used to explore pollen-vegetation-climate relationships. Cluster analysis, species indicator analysis, and principal components analysis, were used to identify the discontinuous and continuous trends in pollen dataset. In addition, correlation analysis and boosted regression trees were used to investigate primary explanatory variables, while coinertia analysis and redundancy analysis to examine pollen-vegetation and pollen-climate correlations respectively. Our results show that:(1) vegetation can be well represented by surface pollen assemblages, i.e. forest is characterized by a high proportion of tree pollen(>70%) dominated by Betula(>40%) along with Alnus, Larix, and Pinus, whereas Steppe by herb pollen(>80%),dominated by Artemisia, Chenopodiaceae;(2) significant correlations exist between pollen assemblages and mean annual temperature and then mean annual precipitation;(3) pollen ratios of Artemisia/Chenopodiaceae and arboreal/non-arboreal can respectively be used as good indicators of humidity and temperature in Northeast China.Qiaoyu CUI Yan ZHAO Feng QIN Chen LIANG Quan LI Rongwei GENG 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,10:5
2A dual population multi-operator genetic algorithm for flight deck operations scheduling problem显示文摘It is of great significance to carry out effective scheduling for the carrier-based aircraft flight deck operations.In this paper,the precedence constraints and resource constraints in flight deck operations are analyzed,then the model of the multi-aircraft integrated scheduling problem with transfer times(MAISPTT)is established.A dual population multi-operator genetic algorithm(DPMOGA)is proposed for solving the problem.In the algorithm,the dual population structure and random-key encoding modified by starting/ending time of operations are adopted,and multiple genetic operators are self-adaptively used to obtain better encodings.In order to conduct the mapping from encodings to feasible schedules,serial and parallel scheduling generation scheme-based decoding operators,each of which adopts different justified mechanisms in two separated populations,are introduced.The superiority of the DPMOGA is verified by simulation experiments.CUI Rongwei HAN Wei SU Xichao LIANG Hongyu LI Zhengyang 2021Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2021,32,2:3
33D Printing of Well Dispersed Electrospun PLGA Fiber Toughened Calcium Phosphate Scaffolds for Osteoanagenesis显示文摘Although the toughening of Calcium phosphate(CaP)scaffold by the addition of fiber has been well recognized,integrated mechanical,structural and functional considerations have been neglected in the design and fabrication of CaP scaffold implant.The emerging 3D printing provides a promising technique to construct CaP scaffold with precise size and elaborate microstructure.However,the most challenge is to extrude smoothly the CaP paste containing fibers for frequently-used extrusion-based 3D printing.In this study,frozen section and chemical dispersant(Pluronic F127,F127)were employed jointly to prepare non-aggregated polylactic-co-glycolic acid(PLGA)fibers.The injectability of CaP pastes with well dispersed PLGA fibers was more than 90%when the content of PLGA fibers was no more than 3 wt%.Meanwhile rheological property of CAP pastes with well dispersed fibers showed shear thinning,which were both beneficial to extrude CaP paste with well dispersed fibers for 3D printing.Moreover,these CaP scaffolds showed ductile fracture behavior due to the pullout and bridging effect of PLGA fibers.The cell proliferation and alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity indicated that 3D printed CAP scaffold containing PLGA fibers possesses excellent biocompatibility and facilitate osteogenic differentiation ability.Thus,it was feasible to print CaP pastes with well dispersed PLGA fibers to construct toughening CaP scaffolds with the higher shape fidelity and complex structures,which had significant clinical potentials in osteoanagenesis due to their higher toughness and excellent biocompatibility.Guoru Zhao Rongwei Cui You Chen Sijie Zhou Chen Wang Zhangmei Hu Xiaoke Zheng Maohong Li Shuxin Qu 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,4:2
4Reconstruction of Surface Porous PEEK Decorated with Strontium-doped Calcium Phosphate Coatings for Enhancing Osteogenic Activity显示文摘The aim of this study was to reconstruct surface porous structure with hundreds of micrometers and then bio-mineralize Sr-doped Calcium Phosphate(Sr-doped CaP)on Polyetheretherketone(PEEK)profile to enhance its bioactivity.A surface porous structure was prepared on PEEK profile by embedding and acid-etching of SiO2 particles as porogen(SP-PEEK).Then the Sr-doped CaP was further decorated on the porous surface after sulfonation,introduction of Sr-doped CaP crystal seeds and bio-mineralization in 1.5 times simulated body fluid(BSSP-PEEK-CaP/Sr).It was feasible to reconstruct the surface porous structure with hundreds of micrometers on PEEK profile by the present method without damaging its mechanical properties.The Sr-doped CaP crystal seeds effectively promoted the bio-mineralization of bio-inertness PEEK.All as-prepared PEEK did not inhibit the proliferation of cells.ALP of bio-mineralized groups was significantly increased than that of the other groups.The BSSP-PEEK-CaP/Sr obviously affected the morphology and promoted the adhesion and spreading of cells.As a result,the cyto-biocompatibity and bioactivity of PEEK were improved after bio-mineralization.Sr-doped CaP on PEEK most likely was beneficial for cells,which was associated with the increasing of the hydrophilicity on PEEK.This study provided a candidate method to improve the osteogenesis of PEEK implants.Chengcheng Liang Xiong Xiong Rongwei Cui Yuanxiao Hong Xin Liu Guoru Zhao Lizi Ye Shuxin Qu 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,4:2
5Optimization of fixed aviation support resource station configuration for aircraft carrier based on aircraft dispatch mission scheduling显示文摘Before the dispatch of the carrier-based aircraft,a series of pre-flight preparation operations need to be completed on the flight deck.Flight deck fixed aviation support resource station configuration has an important impact on operation efficiency and sortie rate.However,the resource station configuration is determined during the aircraft carrier design phase and is rarely modified as required,which may not be suitable for some pre-flight preparation missions.In order to solve the above defects,the joint optimization of flight deck resource station configuration and aircraft carrier pre-flight preparation scheduling is studied in this paper,which is formulated as a two-tier optimization decision-making framework.An improved variable neighborhood search algorithm with four original neighborhood structures is presented.Dispatch mission experiment and algorithm performance comparison experiment are carried out in the computational experiment section.The correlation between the pre-flight preparation time(makespan)and flight deck cabin occupancy percentage is given,and advantages of the proposed algorithm in solving the mathematical model are verified.Yujie LIU Wei HAN Xichao SU Rongwei CUI 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,2:1
6Does palynological diversity reflect floristic diversity?A case study from Northeast China显示文摘Fossil pollen data can provide important information of past vegetation diversity,on the basis of established relationship between modern palynological and floristic diversity.However,current studies on modern pollen assemblages in China have not examined this relationship yet.Herein,we report a case study from Northeast China,aiming to investigate the representation of modern palynological diversity to regional floristic diversity.A total of 87 sets of modern pollen and vegetation data from various vegetation types were applied to assess modern palynological diversity and floristic diversity in Northeast China,and the relationship between palynological and floristic diversity was studied using spatial pattern comparison and correlation analysis.Moreover,to reduce representation bias related to pollen production and dispersal,we calibrated pollen data using the Regional Estimates of Vegetation Abundance from Large Sites(REVEALS)model with Pollen Productivity Estimates(PPEs)and Fall Speeds of Pollen(FSP).The results show that the spatial variations of palynological and floristic richness among vegetation types are similar,and have a good positive correlation(r=0.41,p<0.01).However,palynological evenness presents a different spatial pattern from floristic evenness,with a weaker positive correlation(r=0.21,p>0.05).The calibration on pollen data using REVEALS model minimized the differences in spatial patterns between palynological and floristic diversity,and improved the correlations between them(richness,r=0.50,p<0.01;evenness,r=0.33,p<0.01).Our study indicates that palynological richness in Northeast China could reflect regional floristic richness in general,and the calibration with REVEALS model is recommended for reconstructing past floristic diversity from pollen data.Yifan CUI Feng QIN Yan ZHAO Qiaoyu CUI Rongwei GENG Quan LI 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,9:0
7Summer habitat selection and impacts of human disturbance on leopard cats(Prionailurus bengalensis)显示文摘Introduction:As a consequence of habitat loss and degradation,the leopard cat(Prionailurus bengalensis)in China has become endangered and in need of urgent protection.In situ conservation of leopard cats must be based on an understanding of their habitat selection patterns.We studied the summer habitat of leopard cats using line-transect surveys in the northern Taihang Mountain region surrounding Beijing,China.We compared used plots with non-used plots in elevation,tree canopy,and 20 other ecological variables,and used Vanderploeg��Scavia’s resource selection index(VSI)to analyze habitat preferences.Outcomes/others:Results show that tree canopy,tree height,tree density,and stump quantity of used plots were significantly lower than non-used plots in summer,and that leopard cats preferred habitats located on northern,flat slopes with lower slope,shrub-dominated,dry soil,and less fallen-wood.Leopard cats had a strong tendency to use habitats near human disturbance areas with moderate levels of disturbance intensity.Conclusion:The results suggest that future conservation efforts should emphasize:(1)strengthening the protection and management of forest fringe shrub habitats to improve summer habitat suitability,and(2)environmental education and animal protection campaigns to promote community biodiversity conservation.Jiayi Wu Jing Wang Yinjiu Zhu Xiangli Bu Rongwei Xiang Qingbin Lu Shaopeng Cui Yinghong Hao Yan Sheng Xiuxiang Meng 2020Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2020,6,1:0
