| 1 | Single-crystalline layered double hydroxides with rich defects and hierarchical structure by mild reduction for enhancing the oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘The oxygen evolution reaction(OER)with sluggish reaction kinetics and large overpotential is the critical reaction in water splitting that is promising for energy storage and conversion.Layered double hydroxides(LDHs),due to their unique lamellar structure and flexibility of chemical component,are very competing material candidates for OER.Herein,the morphology structure and the electronic structure of LDHs were simultaneously tuned to improve the OER catalytic activity by mild solvothermal reduction using ethylene glycol.The increased surface area,the introduction of oxygen vacancies and the construction of hierarchical structure greatly enhanced the electro-catalytic activity of LDHs for OER.The as-prepared LDHs showed a lower over-potential as low as 276 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2,and a small Tafel slope of 40.3 mV dec-1 accompanied with good stability.This work provides an efficient way to the design and optimization of advanced catalysts in the future. | Peng Zhou Junying He Yuqin Zou Yanyong Wang Chao Xie Ru Chen Shuangquan Zang Shuangyin Wang | 2019 | Science China Chemistry2019,62,10: | 5 |
| 2 | Engineering stem cell niches in bioreactors显示文摘Stem cells, including embryonic stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells and amniotic fluid stem cells have the potential to be expanded and differentiated into various cell types in the body.Efficient differentiation of stem cells with the desired tissue-specific function is critical for stem cell-based cell therapy, tissue engineering, drug discovery and disease modeling. Bioreactors provide a great platform to regulate the stem cell microenvironment, known as 'niches',to impact stem cell fate decision. The niche factors include the regulatory factors such as oxygen, extracellular matrix(synthetic and decellularized), paracrine/autocrine signaling and physical forces(i.e., mechanical force, electrical force and flow shear). The use of novel bioreactors with precise control and recapitulation of niche factors through modulating reactor operation parameters can enable efficient stem cell expansion and differentiation. Recently, the development of microfluidic devices and microbioreactors also provides powerful tools to manipulate the stem cell microenvironment by adjusting flow rate and cytokine gradients. In general,bioreactor engineering can be used to better modulate stem cell niches critical for stem cell expansion, differentiation and applications as novel cell-based biomedicines. | 3 | ZCCHC3 modulates TLR3-mediated signaling by promoting recruitment of TRIF to TLR3显示文摘Toll-like receptor 3(TLR3)-mediated signaling is important for host defense against RNA virus.Upon viral RNA stimulation,toll and interleukin-1 receptor domain-containing adaptor inducing IFN-p(TRIF)is recruited to TLR3 and then undergoes oligomerization,which is required for the recruitment of downstream molecules to transmit signals.Here,we identified zinc finger CCHC-type containing 3(ZCCHC3)as a positive regulator of TLR3-mediated signaling.Overexpression of ZCCHC3 promoted transcription of downstream antiviral genes stimulated by the synthetic TLR3 ligand poly(I:C).ZCCHC3-deficiency markedly inhibited TLR3-but not TLR4-mediated induction of type I interferons(IFNs)and proinflammatory cytokines.Zcc/7c3-/-mice were more resistant to poly(l:C)-but not lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammatory death.Mechanistically,ZCCHC3 promoted recruitment of TRIF to TLR3 after poly(l:C)stimulation.Our findings reveal that ZCCHC3 plays an important role in TLR3-mediated innate immune response by promoting the recruitment of TRIF to TLR3 after ligand stimulation. | Ru Zang Huan Lian Xuan Zhong Qing Yang Hong-Bing Shu | 2020 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,4: | 3 |
| 4 | Role of carbon in modifying solidification and microstructure of a Ni?based superalloy with high Al and Ti contents显示文摘The effect of carbon ranging from 0.014 to 0.071 wt.%on the solidification and microstructure of a Ni-based superalloy with high Al and Ti contents was studied.The results show that the increase in carbon addition significantly increases the size and volume fraction of MC carbides and promotes the change of their morphology from blocky to elongated shape.However,the carbon addition obviously decreases the size and volume fraction of eutectic(γ+γ′)and reducesηphase and borides formation.The change in carbide characteristics is mainly because of the increasing carbide-forming element and carbides precipitation temperature with the increase in carbon which favors the growth of them along the interdendritic liquid film.MC carbides are formed at an earlier solidification stage than the eutectic(γ+γ′).The increased carbide formation consumes more Ti,which delays and reduces the eutectic(γ+γ′)precipitation.The delay of eutectic(γ+γ′)precipitation leads to a deeper undercooling,which significantly decreases the critical Ti concentration for its precipitation.This,in turn,lowers Ti/Al ratio in residual liquids ahead of the eutectic(γ+γ′)and hence reducesηformation subsequently.B and Zr are slightly enriched in the carbides,which are considered during discussing how carbon influences the eutectic(γ+γ′)precipitation. | Guang‑di Zhao Xi‑min Zang Wen‑ru Sun | 2021 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2021,28,1: | 2 |
| 5 | Bottom-up holistic carrier management strategy induced synergistically by multiple chemical bonds to minimize energy losses for efficient and stable perovskite solar cells显示文摘The defects from electron transport layer,perovskite layer and their interface would result in carrier nonradiative recombination losses.Poor buried interfacial contact is detrimental to charge extraction and device stability.Here,we report a bottom-up holistic carrier management strategy induced synergistically by multiple chemical bonds to minimize bulk and interfacial energy losses for high-performance perovskite photovoltaics.4-trifluoromethyl-benzamidine hydrochloride(TBHCl)containing–CF_(3),amidine cation and Cl^(-)is in advance incorporated into SnO_(2)colloid solution to realize bottom-up modification.The synergistic effect of multiple functional groups and multiple-bond-induced chemical interaction are revealed theoretically and experimentally.F and Cl^(-)can passivate oxygen vacancy and/or undercoordinated Sn^(4+)defects by coordinating with Sn^(4+).The F can suppress cation migration and modulate crystallization via hydrogen bond with FA^(+),and can passivate lead defects by coordinating with Pb^(2+).The–NH_(2)–C=NH^(+)_(2)and Cl^(-)can passivate cation and anion vacancy defects through ionic bonds with perovskites,respectively.Through TBHCl modification,the suppression of agglomeration of SnO_(2)nanoparticles,bulk and interfacial defect passivation,and release of tensile strains of perovskite films are demonstrated,which resulted in a PCE enhancement from 21.28%to 23.40%and improved stability.With post-treatment,the efficiency is further improved to 23.63%. | Baibai Liu Ru Li Qixin Zhuang Xuemeng Yu Shaokuan Gong Dongmei He Qian Zhou Hua Yang Xihan Chen Shirong Lu Zong-Xiang Xu Zhigang Zang Jiangzhao Chen | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1: | 1 |

| 9 | Inorganic halide perovskites for lighting and visible light communication显示文摘Inorganic halide perovskites(IHPs) have received substantial attention due to their unique optoelectronic properties. Among all the intriguing performance, the efficient luminescence of IHPs enables the practical application of white light-emitting diodes(WLEDs) for lighting. During the last decade, IHP-based white lighting sources with a high luminesce and a broad color gamut have been developed as strong competitors to conventional and classic WLEDs based on rare-earth phosphors and blue LED chips. Thus, it inspires us to give an overview of the emerging progress of IHP WLEDs that can function as lighting sources. Here, in this review, the generation of luminescent properties and white light in IHPs are first presented. Then, both photoluminescence and electroluminescence WLEDs with IHPs emitters, including both lead-based and lead-free IHPs, are synthetically discussed to exhibit their advantages. Furthermore, the efforts on the optical performance enhancement of IHPs in WLEDs are demonstrated and summarized. | 10 | Stable yellow light emission from lead-free copper halides single crystals for visible light communication显示文摘Yellow light-emitting diodes(LEDs) as soft light have attracted abundant attention in lithography room, museum and art gallery. However, the development of efficient yellow LEDs lags behind green and blue LEDs, and the available perovskites yellow LEDs suffer from the instability. Herein, a pressure-assisted cooling method is proposed to grow lead-free CsCu2I3single crystals, which possess uniform surface morphology and enhanced photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY) stability, with only 10% PLQY losses after being stored in air after 5000 h.Then, the single crystals used for yellow LEDs without encapsulation exhibit a decent Correlated Color Temperature(CCT) of 4290 K, a Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage(CIE) coordinate of(0.38, 0.41), and an excellent 570-h operating stability under heating temperature of 100°C. Finally, the yellow LEDs facilitate the application in wireless visible light communication(VLC), which show a-3 dB bandwidth of 21.5 MHz and a high achievable data rate of 219.2 Mbps by using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) modulation with adaptive bit loading.
