| 3 | Synthesis and Characterization of Poly(terephthalic acid-2,5-furandicarboxylic acid-1,8-octanediol) Copolyester显示文摘Terephthalic acid,2,5-furandicarboxylic acid and 1,8-octanediol were adopted as monomers and antimony trioxide as catalyst,and poly(terephthalic acid-2,5-furandicarboxylic acid-1,8-octanediol) copolyesters identified as PEOT-x,where x is the mole fraction of furandicarboxylic acid in the samples,were synthesized by direct esterification.The molecular structure of the copolyesters was characterized by FTIR and 1H NMR spectroscopy.Gel permeation chromatography (GPC),differential scanning calorimetry (DSC),and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were used to characterize the molecular weight,molar mass dispersity,glass transition temperature,and thermal stability of the copolyesters,respectively.The mechanical properties of the samples were also investigated.The number-average molecular weight (M_(n)) of the samples varies from 9 700-18 800 g/mol,and molar mass dispersity (■=M_(w)/M_(n)) from 2.15-3.34.The initial decomposition temperature of the copolyesters is in the 332-356 ℃ range,with maximum decomposition rates at 390-410 ℃,while the glass transition temperature (Tg) varies from 0-33 ℃.Mechanical test shows that PEOT-10 has the highest tensile strength,while PEOT-90 has the largest tensile modulus and elongation at break.The experimental results show that these copolyesters can be synthesized with relatively high molecular weights,good thermal stability,and fair mechanical properties,which makes them excellent replacements for commercial polyesters,such as PET,and these properties can be tuned through the relative amounts of biomass monomer 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid used in the reactions. | 程正载 CHENG Junpeng CHEN Jun XIONG Jing SUN Xin JIA Ruyan YUAN Beibei Gauthier Mario | 2021 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2021,36,4: | 1 |
| 4 | Ethnobotanical survey of plants traditionally used against hematophagous invertebrates by ethnic groups in the mountainous area of Xishuangbanna, Southwest China显示文摘Hematophagous invertebrates such as mosquitoes,leeches,mites,ticks,lice and bugs cause various problems for humans.Considering reports on insecticide resistance and requirements for improved environmental and toxicological profiles,there is a continuing need to discover and develop new insecticides and repellents.Ethnobotanical surveys of traditional plant-based repellents provide a direct method of identifying plants for potential use.During five field surveys in Bulang,Jinuo and Lahu villages between August 2018 and July 2019,semi-structured interviews were conducted with 237 informants(151 male,86 female;mean age 63).Frequency of citation,use value,informant consensus factor and Jaccard index were employed to statistically analyze the collected data.A total of 709 use reports relating to 32 plant species and 71 remedies were collected.Similarities and differences between the three groups,as well as the Dai and Hani of Xishuangbanna,who were studied earlier,were shown through network analysis.These five ethnic groups living in the same area have a common understanding of traditional botanical knowledge against hematophagous invertebrates,but each group also possesses unique knowledge.Recording and protecting this traditional knowledge is potentially useful for protecting this cultural diversity and related biodiversity and can also have important practical applications.In this study,traditional knowledge provided us with many new potential plants for follow-up research for the development of new insecticides and repellents,among which Artemisia indica,Nicotiana tabacum and Clausena excavata are the most promising. | Yi Gou Zhennan Li Ruyan Fan Zuchuan Qiu Lu Wang Chen Wang Yuhua Wang | 2020 | Plant Diversity2020,42,6: | 1 |
| 5 | Dendritic cells maturation facilitated by group-adjustable lipopolysaccharide analogues synthesized via RAFT polymerization显示文摘Transforming immature DCs into mature state to activate cellular immunity is a critical step in initiating immunoprophylaxis and immunotherapy.Lipopolysaccharides(LPS)can promote DCs maturation by binding receptor on DCs surface,but their clinical application is limited due to biological toxicity.Although many LPS analogues have been developed,complex synthesis and purification hinder their practical application.Here,we propose a novel and simple strategy to synthesize LPS analogues with adjustable structural units.Using monomer units similar to the key functional groups of LPS,we synthesize LPS analogues with different group ratios by RAFT polymerization.The obtained analogues have little negative effect on cell viability.Compared with LPS,the analogues show greater promoting effect on DCs maturation.And the analogues can be applied to different scenarios since the degrees of promoting DCs maturation by LPS analogues with different group ratios are different.This strategy provides a new direction for synthesizing LPS analogues,and it has the potential to produce LPS analogues on a large scale with tunable promoting DCs maturation effect. | Xingyu Heng Ruyan Feng Lijuan Zhu Liyin Yu Gaojian Chen Hong Chen | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,9: | 0 |
