1Myofiber necroptosis promotes muscle stem cell proliferation via releasing Tenascin-C during regeneration显示文摘Necroptosis,a form of programmed cell death,is characterized by the loss of membrane integrity and release of intracellular contents,the execution of which depends on the membrane-disrupting activity of the Mixed Lineage Kinase Domain-Like protein(MLKL)upon its phosphorylation.Here we found myofibers committed MLKL-dependent necroptosis after muscle injury.Either pharmacological inhibition of the necroptosis upstream kinase Receptor Interacting Protein Kinases 1(RIPK1)or genetic ablation of MLKL expression in myofibers led to significant muscle regeneration defects.By releasing factors into the muscle stem cell(MuSC)microenvironment,necroptotic myofibers facilitated muscle regeneration.Tenascin-C(TNC),released by necroptotic myofibers,was found to be critical for MuSC proliferation.The temporary expression of TNC in myofibers is tightly controlled by necroptosis;the extracellular release of TNC depends on necroptotic membrane rupture.TNC directly activated EGF receptor(EGFR)signaling pathway in MuSCs through its N-terminus assembly domain together with the EGF-like domain.These findings indicate that necroptosis plays a key role in promoting MuSC proliferation to facilitate muscle regeneration.Shen'ao Zhou Wei Zhang Gaihong Cai Yingzhe Ding Caixia Wei Sheng Li Yu Yang Jie Qin Dan Liu Hao Zhang Xiexiang Shao Jianhua Wang Hongye Wang Wenjun Yang Huating Wang She Chen Ping Hu Liming Sun 2020Cell Research2020,30,12:4
2Research on the Production Process of Apple Clear Juice Beverage显示文摘[Objective] The study aimed to determine the formula and production process of apple clear juice beverage. [Method] Concentrated apple juice was used as the raw material in this experiment, apple clear juice beverage was produced through dilution, blending, color protection, sterilization and other key processes. By using orthogonal test, the best formula of the apple clear juice beverage was determined, and then the color protection effects of three color protection agents Cys, NaHSO3 and VC on the apple clear juice beverage were compared. [Result] The best formula of the apple clear juice beverage was composed of 0.15% citric acid, 0.20% sodium citrate, 0.06% tannic acid, 6% white sugar and 16% concentrated apple juice. Besides, there was a big difference among the three kinds of color protection agents (Cys, NaHSO3 and VC) in the color protection effects on the apple clear juice beverage. Considering the quality safety of the product, 0.60% VC was chosen as the best color protection agent. 9Myogenesis controlled by a long non-coding RNA 1700113A16RIK and post-transcriptional regulation显示文摘Long non-coding(lnc)RNA plays important roles in many cellular processes.The function of the vast majority of lncRNAs remains unknown.Here we identified that lncRNA-1700113A16RIK existed in skeletal muscle stem cells(MuSCs)and was significantly elevated during MuSC differentiation.Knockdown of 1700113A16RIK inhibits the differentiation of muscle stem cells.In contrast,overexpression of 1700113A16RIK promotes the differentiation of muscle stem cells.Further study shows the muscle specific transcription factor Myogenin(MyoG)positively regulates the expression of 1700113A16RIK by binding to the promoter region of 1700113A16RIK.Mechanistically,1700113A16RIK may regulate the expression of myogenic genes by directly binding to 3’UTR of an important myogenic transcription factor MEF2D,which in turn promotes the translation of MEF2D.Taken together,our results defined 1700113A16RIK as a positive regulator of MuSC differentiation and elucidated a mechanism as to how 1700113A16RIK regulated MuSC differentiation.Xin Fu Sheng Li Minzhi Jia Bo Xu Lele Yang Ruimiao Ma Hong Cheng Wenjun Yang Ping Hu 2022Cell Regeneration2022,11,1:0
10Determination of specific surfaces of silica xerogels by SAXS显示文摘Small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) with synchrotron radiation as X-ray source has been used to study the structure of silica xerogels prepared by sol-gel process. Both the agreement of SAXS profiles with and the deviation from Porod’s law and Debye’s theory have been found, showing that there are differences between the structures of these xerogels. The specific surfaces of the samples whose SAXS profiles agreed with Porod’s law and Debye’s theory have been determined by analyzing SAXS data according to the methods of Porod and Debye, respectively, and the results of both methods used were found to be similar. We have proposed the corresponding Porod and Debye analysis methods to determine the specific surfaces of samples whose SAXS profiles do not agree with Porod’s law and Debye’s theory, i.e. the negative or positive deviation. The results of both methods used here were also found to be close to each other. 11Influence of sea-land breeze on the formation and dissipation of severe dense fog and its burst reinforcement in the Yellow Sea coastal area,China显示文摘Based on the global reanalysis data of the National Centers for Environmental Prediction(NCEP)/National Center for Atmospheric Research,the surface meteorological observation data,sounding data and satellite observation data,this paper comprehensively analyzes the evolution process and formation mechanism of a persistent severe dense fog process occurred on February 15–17,2015 in Yancheng,eastern China.Through the numerical simulation experiment of Weather Research and Forecast(WRF)model,we further analyze the impact of sea-land breeze on the formation and burst reinforcement of fog.Results show that the precipitation caused by the southwesterly airflow in front of the upper-level trough and the low-pressure inverted trough are conducive to the formation of early rain fog,while the nighttime clear radiance under the control of surface cold high and the infiltration of weak cold advection are conducive to the formation and development of later radiation-advection fog.The WRF model simulates the fog evolution process,which is basically consistent with the actual fog area,and the simulation results are credible to a certain extent.The simulation results show that the establishment of sea breeze has an advection cooling effect on the near surface layer,which is conducive to the formation and development of the inversion layer on the near surface,providing stable stratification conditions for the formation and burst reinforcement of fog.On one hand,the strengthening of sea breeze circulation can continuously transport water vapor to the study area.On the other,the occurrence of ultra-low level jet is favorable for the accumulation of low-level water vapor.At the same time,the inversion intensity further strengthens,which is in favor of the burst reinforcement and long-term maintenance of fog.Ya GAO Duanyang LIU Shuqi YAN Wenjun ZHOU Hongbin WANG Fan ZU Qin MEI Chuanxiang YI Ye SHENG 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,2:0

13A comparative analysis of reticular crack on ceramic plate driven by thermal shock显示文摘Reticular crack is generally found on the surface of ceramic material that has been subjected to a thermal-shock condition. In the present study, a quantitative effect of thermal shock and quench temperature has been studied and investigated. Experimental tests were carried out to characterize the reticular crack that has been found in the Ge Kiln, which is a famous art of the ancient Chinese culture. 14Synergistic effects of multiple rotors and hydrogen-bond interactions lead to sensitive near-infrared viscosity probes for live-cell microscopy显示文摘Changes in cellular viscosity are associated with various physiological processes and pathological conditions.To study these cellular processes and functions,highly sensitive fluorescent probes that detect subtle changes in viscosity are urgently needed but remain lacking.In this study,we present a series of viscosity-responsive near-infrared(NIR)fluorescent probes based on styrene-coated boron dipyrromethene(BODIPY).The probe modified with dimethylaminostyrene and piperazine at the two terminals of the BODIPY scaffold showed extremely high viscosity sensitivity values(x,around 1.54),with excellent performance for detecting viscosity below 20 c P.This outstanding property is attributed to the synergistic effects of multiple rotatable bonds and hydrogen-bond interactions.Additionally,this probe has been successfully deployed to monitor viscosity changes in various cellular compartments(i.e.,cytoplasm)and processes(such as during autophagy).This work provides a rational molecular design strategy to construct fluorescent probes with high viscosity sensitivity for exploring cell functions.Dongyang Li Tianruo Shen Xiaoqi Xue Weijie Chen Wenjun Tao Weijie Chi Sheng Hua Liu Ying Tan Xiaogang Liu Jun Yin 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,8:0
15Intelligent Express Delivery System Based on Video Processing显示文摘Although the scale of the express industry is large, it is difficult toachieve the function of fully intelligent receiving and sending express. In thispaper, the intelligent express delivery system is proposed based on the imageand video processing technology of OpenCV, the Faster R-CNN object detectionalgorithm and other technologies. Through the depth camera and electronic scale,it can identify the object category, volume and weight of the items placed on thescale by the sender and store the video of the objects packed into the cabinet. Theoverall framework of the systemwas constructed;key technologies were applied torealize the system;the function of the system was tested.
