1Highly active zigzag-like Pt-Zn alloy nanowires with high-index facets for alcohol electrooxidation显示文摘The development of highly efficient Pt-based alloy nanocatalysts is important but remains challenging for fuel cells commercialization.Here,a new class of zigzag-like platinum-zinc (Pt-Zn) alloy nanowires (NWs) with rough surface and controllable composition is reported.The merits of anisotropic one-dimensional nanostructure,stable high-index facets and coordinatively unsaturated Pt sites endow the composition-optimal Pt94Zn6 NWs with a mass activity of 7.2 and 6.2 times higher than that of commercial Pt black catalysts toward methanol/ethanol oxidation,respectively.Alloying-induced d-band electron modulation and lattice strain effects weaken the adsorption strength of poisoning species,which originally enhances the catalytic activity of Pt-Zn NWs.This study provides a new perspective of Pt-Zn electrocatalysts with intrinsic mechanism for enhanced catalytic performance.Yanchao Xu Xiaoqiang Cui Shuting Wei Qinghua Zhang Lin Gu Fanqi Meng Jinchang Fan Weitao Zheng 2019Nano Research2019,12,5:7
2Microcavity top-emission perovskite light-emitting diodes显示文摘Light-emitting diodes(LEDs)based on perovskites show great potential in lighting and display applications.However,although perovskite films with high photoluminescence quantum efficiencies are commonly achieved,the efficiencies of perovskite LEDs are largely limited by the low light out-coupling efficiency.Here,we show that high-efficiency perovskite LEDs with a high external quantum efficiency of 20.2% and an ultrahigh radiant exitance up to 114.9mWcm^(−2) can be achieved by employing the microcavity effect to enhance light extraction.The enhanced microcavity effect and light outcoupling efficiency are confirmed by the study of angle-dependent emission profiles.Our results show that both the optical and electrical properties of the device need to be optimized to achieve high-performance perovskite LEDs.Yanfeng Miao Lu Cheng Wei Zou Lianghui Gu Ju Zhang Qiang Guo Qiming Peng Mengmeng Xu Yarong He Shuting Zhang Yu Cao Renzhi Li Nana Wang Wei Huang Jianpu Wang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:4
3Development and transdifferentiation into inner hair cells require Tbx2显示文摘Atohl is essential for the development of both outer hair cells(OHCs)and inner hair cells(IHCs)in the mammalian co chlea.Whereas Ikzf2 is necessary for OHC development,the key gene re quired for IHC development remains unknown.We found that deletion of Tbx2 in neonatal IHCs led to their transdifferentiation into OHCs by repressing 26.7%of IHC genes and inducing 56.3%of OHC genes,including Ikzf2.More importantly,persistent expression of Tbx2 coupled with transient Atohl expression effe ctively reprogrammed non-sensory supporting cells into new IHCs expressing the functional IHC marker vGlut3.The differentiation status of these new IHCs was considerably more advanced than that previously reported.Thus,Tbx2 is essential for IHC development and co-upregulation of Tbx2 with Atohl in supporting cells represents a new approach for treating deafness related to IHC degeneration.Zhenghong Bi Xiang Li Minhui Ren Yunpeng Gu Tong Zhu Shuting Li Guangqin Wang Suhong Sun Yuwei Sun Zhiyong Liu 2022National Science Review2022,9,12:1
4Development of pretreatment protocol for DNA extraction from biofilm attached to biologic activated carbon(BAC)granules显示文摘The biologic activated carbon(BAC)process is widely used in drinking water treatments.A comprehensive molecular analysis of the microbial community structure provides very helpful data to improve the reactor performance.However,the bottleneck of deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)extraction from BAC attached biofilm has to be solved since the conventional procedure was unsuccessful due to firm biomass attachment and adsorption capacity of the BAC granules.In this study,five pretreatments were compared,and adding skim milk followed by ultrasonic vibration was proven to be the optimal choice.This protocol was further tested using the vertical BAC samples from the full-scale biofilter of Pinghu Water Plant.The results showed the DNAyielded a range of 40μg·g^(-1) BAC(dry weight)to over 100μg·g^(-1) BAC(dry weight),which were consistent with the biomass distribution.All results suggested that the final protocol could produce qualified genomic DNA as a template from the BAC filter for downstream molecular biology researches.Shuting ZHANG Bo WEI Xin YU Bing LIU Zhuoying WU Li GU 2010Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2010,4,4:1
5Genetic diversity and population structure of the Chinese lake gudgeon (Sarcocheilichthys sinensis) using microsatellite markers显示文摘The Chinese lake gudgeon is a small benthopelagic freshwater fish.It is presently threatened by human activities and environmental factors in China.Understanding the genetic diversity and population structure is fundamental for implementation of appropriate conservation measures and a sustainable management program.However,little is reported about the current genetic diversity and population structure.Here,we used ten microsatellite markers to genotype 175 individuals from six populations.Low levels of genetic diversity were found in all six tested populations.The Xiang river population showed the highest level of genetic diversity.Genetic differentiation was very low but significant among the Changyang,Changqidang and Mayang populations,but the Qiandao lake,Gan river,Xiang river populations all showed significant and strong differentiation from the other three populations.Contemporary gene flow was observed in among Changyang,Changqidang and Mayang populations and between Gan and Xiang river populations,respectively.This is the first genetic study to report the genetic diversity and population structure of S.sinensis and the results will be used to develop management and conservation strategies.Shuting Gu Rongquan Wang Chuanwu Li Jiale Li Yubang Shen 2020Aquaculture and Fisheries2020,5,2:1

7KIAA1199 induces advanced biological behavior and development of ovarian cancer through activation of the IL-6/STAT3 pathway显示文摘Recently,abnormal expression of KIAA1199 has been detected in Epithelial Ovarian Cancer(EOC).However,the underlined anti-ovarian cancer mechanism of KIAA1199 remains to be enlightened.In our study,we performed to elucidate the effects of KIAA1199 on the advanced biological behavior of EOC cells through activation of the IL-6/STAT3 pathway.Confirmed by immunohistochemistry,KIAA1199 was highly expressed in ovarian borderline and malignant epithelial tumors.A retrospective analysis found that EOC patients with low expression of KIAA1199 had a significantly higher 5-year survival rate than those with high expression.Mechanistically,IL-6 was used to stimulate EOC cells,and the expression of KIAA1199,STAT3 and p-STAT3 increased after IL-6 stimulation.These results could show that KIAA1199 is transcriptionally activated by IL6/STAT3 pathway,thereby accelerating the deterioration of EOC.KIAA1199 could also be used as a poor prognosis factor and potential target in treatment.SHUTING GU JINGYI QIN SAINAN GAO ZHEN WANG QI MENG YAN LI BING LU SONGLIN ZHOU YUNZHAO XU 2022BIOCELL2022,46,3:0
