15Polytene chromosomes of an Indian Himalayan black fly Simulium (Nevermannia) praelargum (Diptera:Simuliidae)显示文摘High quality polytene chromosome maps (n=3) of a Himalayan Simuliid Simulium praelargum Datta, 1973 are presentedand represent the first cytological description of a taxon found in the feuerborni group, subgenus Nevermannia. Polytenechromosomes one (Ⅰ) and two (Ⅱ) are metacentric, chromosome three (Ⅲ) is submetacentric with the length of each chromosomeoccupying 37.25 %, 31.36 % and 31.34 % of the total complement length, respectively. Typical simuliid diagnostic intergenericchromosomal markers are found within the polytene complement of this species. The nucleolar organizer (N.O.) is found at thebase of the short arm of chromosome one (IS), the Ring of Balbiani (R.B.), double bubble (D.B.) and triad occur in the short armof chromosome two (IIS), the Parabalbiani Ring (P.B.) and grey band (gb) occur in the long arm of chromosome two (IIL) and theBlister (BL) and Capsule (Ca) occur in the short arm of chromosome three (HIS).Terminal bands at the end of HIS are heterochromatinizedand present atypically with respect to other simuliid fauna. Populations studied so far are unique among the Simuliidaein that they exhibit chromosome structural monomorphism. 16ERRα regulates the growth of triple-negative breast cancercells via S6K1-dependent mechanism显示文摘Estrogen-related receptor alpha(ERRα)is an orphan nuclear factor that is a master regulator of cellular energy metabolism.ERRαis overexpressed in a variety of tumors,including ovarian,prostate,colorectal,cervical and breast,and is associated with a more aggressive tumor and a worse outcome.In breast cancer,specifically,high ERRαexpression is associated with an increased rate of recurrence and a poor prognosis.Because of the common functions of ERRαand the mTORC1/S6K1 signaling pathway in regulation of cellular metabolism and breast cancer pathogenesis,we focused on investigating the biochemical relationship between ERRαand S6K1.We found that ERRαnegatively regulates S6K1 expression by directly binding to its promoter.Downregulation of ERRαexpression sensitized ERα-negative breast cancer cells to mTORC1/S6K1 inhibitors.Therefore,our results show that combinatorial inhibition of ERRαand mTORC1/S6K1 may have clinical utility in treatment of triple-negative breast cancer,and warrants further investigation.Adi Y Berman Subrata Manna Naomi S Schwartz Yardena E Katz Yang Sun Catherine A Behrmann Jane J Yu David R Plas Anya Alayev Marina K Holz 2017Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2017,2,1:0
