1Report of epibenthic macrofauna found from Haima cold seeps and adjacent deep-sea habitats,South China Sea显示文摘This work reports on a preliminary taxonomic study of epibenthic macroinvertebrates collected or observed by underwater video at the Haima cold seeps and in adjacent deep-sea habitats,including a mud volcano feld and Ganquan Plateau,during an expedition in the South China Sea by the Chinese-manned submersible Shenhai Yongshi in May 2018.A total of 41 species belonging to 6 phyla were identifed,among which 34 species were collected from the Haima cold seeps.Mollusks and crustaceans that are specialized in reducing habitats were predominant in biotopes of the Haima cold seeps,whereas sponges and cold-water corals and their commensals were prominent in communities of the mud volcano feld and the slopes of Ganquan Plateau.The distribution and faunal composition of each taxonomic group are discussed.Dong Dong Xinzheng Li Mei Yang Lin Gong Yang Li Jixing Sui Zhibin Gan Qi Kou Ning Xiao Junlong Zhang 2021Marine Life Science & Technology2021,3,1:3
2Review of Ampharete Malmgren, 1866 (Annelida, Ampharetidae) from China显示文摘In this paper,the material of the genus Ampharete Malmgren,1866 from China Seas(Annelida:Ampharetidae)deposited in the collections of the Marine Biological Museum of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(MBMCAS)is reviewed and previous identifi cations reassessed.In total,four species were found among all specimens examined.Material previously attributed to A.acutifrons(Grube,1860)and A.arctica Malmgren,1866 had been misidentifi ed and is now confi rmed as belonging to A.lindstroemi Hessle,1917 and A.fi nmarchica(Sars,1865),respectively;the presence of A.falcata Eliason,1955 is also confi rmed;A.orientalis(Annenkova,1929)is recorded for the fi rst time from China.SUI Jixing LI Xinzheng 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,5:0
3A new species of Leodamas Kinberg, 1866 (Polychaeta: Orbiniidae) from the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea显示文摘Based on polychaete specimens collected from coastal areas of China in 1959,a new species of the family Orbiniidae,Leodamas sinensis sp.nov.is described in the present paper.The new species can be distinguished from its cogeners by the combination of following characters:branchiae present from chaetiger 5;each thoracic neuropodial postchaetal lobe possessing broad tori,with a digital to triangular-shaped papilla at its midlength;4 or 5 vertical rows of uncini and one posterior row of accompany capillaries in thoracic neuropodia;acicula present in both abdominal notopodia and neuropodia,slightly or distinctly projecting.A key to all known species of the genus is provided.SUN Yue SUI Jixing LI Xinzheng 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,10:0
4A new record ofAuchenoplax Ehlers, 1887 (Polychaeta: Ampharetidae) from the East China Sea显示文摘A new record of the ampharetid genus Auchenoplax,A.worsfoldi Jirkov and Leontovich,2013,is reported and described from the East China Sea.The specimens agree well with the original description of Auchenoplax worsfoldi with two pairs of branchiae,two thoracic uncinigers with enlarged neuropodia and 12 abdominal uncinigerous segments.The present specimens have long and filiform branchiae extending to thoracic chaetiger9,which was not included in the original description.This is the first record of this species in Chinese waters.SUI Jixing LI Xinzheng 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,10:0
5The first complete mitogenome of Acharax sp.(Protobranchia,Solemyida,Solemyidae):comparisons with other Solemyidae bivalves and deep-sea adaptive characteristics显示文摘Solemyidae is an ancient group of protobranch bivalves,and most solemyids are symbiotic with chemoautotrophic and gill-hosted bacteria,enabling them to survive in unusual habitats such as deepsea chemosynthetic environments.However,evolution of the mitogenomes in this family and their phylogenetic relationships remain poorly understood.The complete mitogenome of Acharax sp.was determined and compared with other available mitogenomes of solemyids.The mitogenome of Acharax sp.is 18970 bp in length and consists of 13 protein-coding genes,2 ribosomal RNA genes,and 22 transfer RNA genes.The gene arrangement was identical to those of other sequenced solemyids.For the present five mitogenomes of Solemyidae species,all protein-coding genes were initiated with the typical ATD(ATA,ATG,and ATT)codon and terminated with the TAA/TAG codon.Furthermore,the incomplete termination codon was detected.The Ka/Ks ratio analyses indicated that 13 protein-coding genes of five Solemyidae mitogenomes suffered strong purifying selection.Compared to 45 existing shallow water equivalents,the 18 available mitogenomes from the deep-sea,including the Acharax sp.in this study,show significantly more nonpolar amino acids in the 13 protein-coding genes,which indicates the adaptation to the deep-sea environment.The phylogenetic tree based on 48 Bivalvia complete mitogenomes provided further information to support the scientific classification of protobranchs.The relationships among Solemyidae were assessed based on 2 mitochondrial(16S rRNA and COX1)and 3 nuclear(18S rRNA,28S rRNA,and histone H3)gene sequences from 17 in-group species.The two genera Acharax and Solemya formed a monophyletic clade each,and Acharax sp.clustered with previously reported Acharax bivalves with high support values.Mei YANG Jixing SUI Xinzheng LI 2023Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,6:0
