| 4 | Sinkihwan-gamibang ameliorates puromycin amino nucleoside-induced nephrotic syndrome显示文摘Nephrotic syndrome(NS)is a kidney disease characterized by hypertriglyceridemia,massive proteinuria,hypo-albuminemia and peripheral edema.Sinkihwan-gamibang(SKHGMB)was recorded in a traditional Chinese medical book named“Bangyakhappyeon(方藥合編)”and its three prescriptions Sinkihwan,Geumgwe-sinkihwan,and Jesaeng-sinkihwan belong to Gamibang.This study confirmed the effect of SKHGMB on renal dysfunction in an NS model induced by puromycin aminonucleoside(PAN).The experimental NS model was induced in male Sprague Dawley(SD)rats through injection of PAN(50 mg·kg^(-1))via the femoral vein.SKHGMB not only reduced the size of the kidneys increased due to PAN-induced NS,but also decreased proteinuria and ascites.In addition,SKHGMB significantly ameliorated creatinine clearance,creatinine,and blood urea nitrogen.SKHGMB relieved glomeruli dilation and tubules fibrosis in the glomeruli of the NS model.SKHGMB inhibited the protein and mRNA levels of the NLRP3 inflammasome including NLRP3,ASC,and pro-caspase-1 in NS rats.SKHGMB reduced the protein and mRNA levels of fibrosis regulators in NS rats.The results indicated that SKHGMB exerts protective effects against renal dysfunction by inhibiting of renal inflammation and fibrosis in NS rats. | Lee Hyeon Kyoung Jang Youn Jae Na Se Won Kim Hye Yoom Han Bywig Hyuk Lee Yun Jung Lee Ho Sub Yoon Jung Joo Kang Dae Gill | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2022，20，3： | 2 |
| 5 | Weekly docetaxel and gemcitabine in previously treated metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To assess the efficacy and safety of weekly docetaxel plus a fixed-dose rate(FDR) of gemcitabine in metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(SCC).METHODS: A multi-center, open-label, prospective phase Ⅱ study was designed.Thirty-three esophageal SCC patients with documented progression after fluoropyrimidine/platinum-based first-line chemotherapy were enrolled and treated with docetaxel 35 mg/m2 and gemcitabine 1000 mg/m2 iv at a FDR(10 mg/m2 per minute) on days 1 and 8.Treatment was repeatedevery twenty-one days until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or consent withdrawal.The primary endpoint was response rate(RR), and secondary endpoints were safety, progression-free survival(PFS) and overall survival(OS).RESULTS: Combination of weekly docetaxel and FDR gemcitabine was well tolerated: the most common treatment-related adverse events were anemia(97%), fatigue(64%) and neutropenia(55%).One patient with multiple lung and lymph node metastases died of respiratory failure after receiving four cycles of chemotherapy, and the possibility of drug-induced pneumonitis could not be completely excluded.Disease control(objective response plus stable disease) in the ITT population was achieved in 88% of patients, and the overall RR was 30%(95%CI: 15%-46%).The median PFS and OS were 4.0(95%CI: 3.4-4.6) and 8.8 mo(95%CI: 7.8-9.8 mo), respectively.CONCLUSION: A combination of weekly docetaxel and FDR gemcitabine showed promising antitumor activity and tolerability in previously treated, metastatic esophageal SCC. | Min-Young Lee Ki Sun Jung Hae Su Kim Ji Yun Lee Sung Hee Lim Moonjin Kim Hyun Ae Jung Sung Min Kim Jong Mu Sun Myung-Ju Ahn Jeeyun Lee Se Hoon Park Seong Yoon Yi In Gyu Hwang Sang-Cheol Lee Hee Kyung Ahn Do Hyoung Lim Soon Il Lee Keon Woo Park | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015，21，14： | 2 |

| 7 | Bee venom phospholipase A2 ameliorates amyloidogenesis and neuroinflammation through inhibition of signal transducer and activator of transcription-3 pathway in Tg2576 mice显示文摘Background:Neuroinflammation and accumulation ofβ-amyloid(Aβ)play a significant role in the onset and progression of Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Our previous study demonstrated that signal transducer and activator of transcription-3(STAT3)plays a major role in neuroinflammation and amyloidogenesis.Methods:In the present study,we investigated the inhibitory effect of bee venom phospholipase A2(bvPLA2)on memory deficiency in Tg2576 mice,which demonstrate genetic characteristics of AD and the mechanism of its action at the cellular and animal level.For in vivo study,we examined the effect of bvPLA2 on improving memory by conducting several behavioral tests with the administration of bvPLA2(1 mg/kg)to Tg2576 mice.For in vitro study,we examined the effect of bvPLA2 on amyloidogenesis and neuroinflammation by treating bvPLA2 on LPSactivated BV2 cells.Results:We found that bvPLA2 alleviated memory impairment in Tg2576 mice,as demonstrated in the behavioral tests assessing memory.In the bvPLA2-treated group,Aβ,amyloid precursor protein(APP),and β-secretase 1(BACE1)levels and β-secretase activity were significantly decreased.Expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and inflammation-related proteins decreased in the brain of bvPLA2-treated group,whereas anti-inflammatory cytokines increased.In addition,bvPLA2 reduced STAT3 phosphorylation in the brains of the bvPLA2-treated group.At the cellular level,bvPLA2 inhibits production of nitric oxide,pro-inflammatory cytokines,and inflammation-related proteins including p-STAT3.Additionally,bvPLA2 inhibits the production of Aβin cultured BV-2 cells.Results from the docking experiment,pull-down assay,and the luciferase assay show that bvPLA2 directly binds STAT3 and,thus,regulates gene expression levels.Moreover,when the STAT3 inhibitor and bvPLA2 were administered together,the anti-amyloidogenic and anti-inflammatory effects were further enhanced than when they were administered alone.Conclusion:These results suggest that bvPLA2 could restore memory by inhibiting the accumulation of Aβ and inflammatory responses via blockage of STAT3 activity. | Hyeon Joo Ham Sang-Bae Han Jaesuk Yun In Jun Yeo Young Wan Ham Se Hyun Kim Pil-Hoon Park Dong-Young Choi Jin Tae Hong | 2019 | Translational Neurodegeneration2019，8，1： | 1 |
