| 5 | Numerical treatment of Benjamin-Bona-Mahony-Burgers equation with fourth-order improvised B-spline collocation method显示文摘In this work, the Benjamin-Bona-Mahony-Burgers(BBMB)equation is solved using an improvised cubic B-spline collocation technique. This equation describes the propagation of small amplitude waves in a non-linear dispersive medium,in the modeling of unidirectional planar waves.Due to the higher smoothness and sparse nature of matrices corresponding to splines, cubic B-splines are chosen as the basis function in the collocation method. But,the optimal accuracy and order of convergence cannot be achieved using the standard B-spline collocation method. So to overcome this, improvised cubic B-splines are formed by making posteriori corrections to cubic B-spline interpolant and its higher-order derivatives. The Crank-Nicolson scheme is used to discretize the temporal domain along with the quasilinearization process to deal with the nonlinear terms. The spatial domain discretization is carried out using the improvised cubic B-spline collocation method(ICSCM).The stability analysis of the technique is performed using the von-Neumann scheme.Several test problems are solved numerically and obtained results are compared with the results available in the literature. The aim of the paper is to show that such improvised techniques which were earlier used to solve ODEs,can be applied to solve the BBMB equation also, with excellent accuracy in results. | Shallu V.K.Kukreja | 2022 | Journal of Ocean Engineering and Science2022,7,2: | 0 |
| 6 | Dominating expression of negative regulatory factors downmodulates major histocompatibility complex Class-Ⅱexpression on dendritic cells in chronic hepatitis C infection显示文摘AIM: To elucidate the molecular mechanisms leading to development of functionally impaired dendritic cells(DCs) in chronic hepatitis C(CHC) patients infected with genotype 3 virus.METHODS: This prospective study was conducted on the cohorts of CHC individuals identified as responders or non-responders to antiviral therapy. Myeloid DCs were isolated from the peripheral blood of each subject using CD1c(BDCA1)+ DC isolation Kit. Monocytes from healthy donor were cultured with DC growth factors such as IL-4 and GM-CSF either in the presence or absence of hepatitis C virus(HCV) viral proteins followed by LPS stimulation. Phenotyping was done by flowcytometry and gene expression profiling was evaluated by real-time PCR.RESULTS: Non-responders [sustained virological response(SVR)-ve] to conventional antiviral therapy had significantly higher expression of genes associated with interferon responsive element such as IDO1 and PD-L1(6-fold) and negative regulators of JAK-STAT pathway such as SOCS(6-fold) as compared to responders(SVR+ve) to antiviral therapy. The downregulated genes in non-responders included factors involved in antigen processing and presentation mainly belonging to major histocompatibility complex(MHC) Class-Ⅱ family as HLA-DP, HLA-DQ(2-fold) and superoxide dismutase(2-fold). Cells grown in the presence of HCV viral proteins had genes downregulated for factors involved in innate response, interferon signaling, DC maturation and co-stimulatory signaling to T-cells, while the genes for cytokine signaling and Toll-like receptors(4-fold) were upregulated as compared to cells grown in absence of viral proteins.CONCLUSION: Underexpressed MHC class-Ⅱ genes and upregulated negative regulators in non-responders indicate diminished capacity to present antigen and may constitute mechanism of functionally defective state of DCs. | Shallu Tomer Yogesh K Chawla Ajay Duseja Sunil K Arora | 2016 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2016,22,22: | 0 |
| 7 | Synergistic effects of methyl 2-cyano-3,11-dioxo-18beta-olean-1,-12-dien-30-oate and erlotinib on erlotinib-resistant non-small cell lung cancer cells显示文摘Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)is often characterized by an underlying mutation in the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR),contributing to aggressive metastatic disease.Methyl 2-cyano-3,11-dioxo-18 beta-olean-1,12-dien-30-oate(CDODA-Me),a glycyrrhetinic acid derivative, reportedly improves the therapeutic response to erlotinib(ERL),an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor. In the present study,we performed a series of studies to demonstrate the efficacy of CDODA-Me(2μM)in sensitizing HCC827 R(ERL-resistant)cells to ERL.Herein,we first established the selectivity of ERL-induced drug resistance in the HCC827 R cells, which was sensitized when ERL was combined with CDODA-Me(2μM),shifting the IC50 from 23.48μM to 5.46μM.Subsequently,whole transcriptomic microarray expression data demonstrated that the combination of ERL+CDODA-Me elicited 210 downregulated genes(0.44%of the whole transcriptome(WT))and 174 upregulated genes(0.36%of the WT),of which approximately 80%were unique to the ERL+CDODA-Me group.Synergistic effects centered on losses to cell cycle progression transcripts,a reduction of minichromosome maintenance complex components(MCM2-7),all key components of the Cdc45·MCM2-7 GINS(CMG)complex, and replicative helicases;these effects were tantamount to the upregulation of processes associated with the nuclear factor erythroid 2 like 2 translational response to oxidative stress, including sulfiredoxin 1,heme oxygenase 1,and stress-induced growth inhibitor 1.Collectively,these findings indicate that the synergistic therapeutic effects of ERL+CDODA-Me on resistant NSCLC cells are mediated via the inhibition of mitosis and induction of oxidative stress. | Ebony Nottingham Elizabeth Mazzio Sunil Kumar Surapaneni Shallu Kutlehria Arindam Mondal Ramesh Badisa Stephen Safe Arun K.Rishi Mandip Singh | 2021 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,6: | 0 |
| 8 | A Conceptual Framework for Teacher-Child Relationships in Early Childhood显示文摘Teacher-child relationship is an important factor for the overall development of the child. It is also a reflector of child centred teaching practices, classroom quality and child outcomes. These relationships are influenced by many factors that are personal to teacher and child and are also related to the classroom environment. Positive teacher-child relationships develop warm and secure teacher-child bondings which are beneficial for the socioemotional and academic success of the child. Dependent and conflictual teacher-child relationships are stressful for teachers and have a negative outcome for the child. This paper explores the literature to recognise the factors affecting teacher-child relationships and have proposed a conceptual framework to understand these relationships in ethnically and socioeconomically diverse classrooms. Literature has tried to define these relationships according to the attachment theory or through bio-ecological model of development thus ignoring the role of culture as a major factor in formation of these relationships. This paper used Bourdiue’s theory of Capital, Field and Habitus and Contextual System Model of Pianta as theoretical framework and proposes Cultural Framework for teacher-child relationships. | Shallu Sansanwal | 2019 | Cultural and Religious Studies2019,7,6: | 0 |
