| 2 | Effects of Jiazhu decoction in combination with cyclophosphamide on breast cancer in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the therapeutic effects of Jiazhu decoction (JZD) in combination with cyclophosphamide (CTX) on the growth of breast cancer in mice and to explore the possible molecular mechanisms of action. METHODS: BALB/c mice were randomly divided into four groups of 10 (untreated model group, JZD group, CTX group, and JZD + CTX group) and subcutaneously injected with 4T1 mouse breast cancer cells. Tumors were allowed to establish for ~7 d before initiation of treatment with CTX (100 mg/kg every week by intraperitoneal injection) and/or JZD (0.015 mL of 1.65 g/mL crude drug, administered daily by gavage). The model group received equivalent volumes of vehicle on the same schedules. Tumor volumes were measured every 3 d. Mice were sacrificed after 3 weeks of treatment, and tumors were excised and subjected to RT-qPCR and western blot analysis to evaluate expression of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway components β-catenin, c-Myc, and cyclin D1 at the mRNA and protein levels. RESULTS: The mean tumor volume was smaller and the growth rate was slower in the CTX and JZD + CTX groups compared with the model group (P < 0.05), and in the JZD + CTX group compared with the CTX and JZD groups (P < 0.05). Tumor growth was inhibited by 35.4% and 48.1% by CTX and JZD + CTX treatment, respectively (P < 0.001). The expression of β-catenin, c-Myc, and cyclin D1 mRNA and protein in tumors was significantly lower in mice treated with JZD or JZD + CTX compared with the untreated mice (P < 0.05), and was significantly lower in mice treated with JZD + CTX compared with either JZD or CTX alone (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: JZD inhibited the growth of mouse breast cancer cells in vivo, possibly by reducing the expression of β-catenin, c-Myc, and cyclin D1. | 3 | Petroleum coke conversion behavior in catalyst-assisted chemical looping combustion显示文摘Efficiently using petroleum coke as fuel and reducing carbon emission meanwhile have become attractive in oil processing industry.The paper is focused on the application of Chemical Looping Combustion(CLC)with petroleum coke,with the purpose of investigating its combustion performance and effects of potassium.Some experiments were performed in a laboratory scale fluidized bed facility with a natural manganese-based oxygen carrier.Experimental results indicated that the coke conversion is very sensitive to reaction temperature.The pre sent natural manganese-based oxygen carrier decorated by K has little effect on the improvement of coke conversion.XRD,SEM-EDX,and H2-TPR were adopted to characterize the reacted oxygen carrier samples.After being decorated by K,the oxygen carrier's capacity of transferring oxygen was decrea sed.A calcination temperature above the melting point of K2 CO3(891℃)shows better oxygen transfer reactivity in comparison to the one calcined at a lower temperature.The natural oxygen carrier used in the work has a high content of Si,which can easily react with K to form K(FeSi2 O6).Further,irrespective of reaction temperature,the coke conversion can be significantly enhanced by decorating the coke with K,with a demonstration of remarkably shorter reaction time,faster average coke gasification rate and higher average carbon conversion rate. | Xianyu Liu Huijun Ge Shiwei Ma Shangyi Yin Ping Lu Laihong Shen Hongcun Bai Wei Wang Tao Song | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,9: | 3 |
| 4 | A portable viable Salmonella detection device based on microfluidic chip and recombinase aided amplification显示文摘creening of foodborne pathogens is important to prevent contaminated foods from their supply chains.n this study, a portable detection device was developed for rapid, sensitive and simple detection of viable almonella using a finger-actuated microfluidic chip and an improved recombinase aided amplification (RAA) assay. Improved propidium monoazide(PMAxx) was combined with RAA to enable this device to distinguish viable bacteria from dead ones. The modification of PMAxx into dead bacteria, the magnetic xtraction of nucleic acids from viable bacteria and the RAA detection of extracted nucleic acids were performed using the microfluidic chip on its supporting device by finger press-release operations. The fluorescent signal resulting from RAA amplification of the nucleic acids was collected using a USB camera nd analyzed using a self-developed smartphone App to quantitatively determine the bacterial concenration. It requires suitable conditions and environmental factors. Maize is one of the most important crops worldwide. Germination influences both final maize yield and quality. Seed germination is regulated by a complex gene network. It is also influenced by endogenous(phytohormones and nutrients) and exogenous(temperature and water)inputs, involving molecular networks only partly identified to date. | 13 | CsPbI nanorods as the interfacial layer for high-performance,all-solution-processed self-powered photodetectors显示文摘Heterojunction is regarded as a crucial step toward realizing high-performance devices,particularly,forming gradient energy band between heterojunctions benefits self-powered photodetectors.Therefore,in this paper,the synthesis of CsPbI3 nanorods(NRs)and its application as the interfacial layer in high-performance,all-solution-processed self-powered photodetectors are presented.For the bilayer photodetector ITO/ZnO(100 nm)/PbS-TBAI(150 nm)/Au,a responsivity of 3.6 A/W with a specific detectivity of 9.8×10^(12)Jones was obtained under 0.1 mW/cm^(2)white light illumination at zero bias(i.e.in self-powered mode).Meanwhile,the photocurrent was enhanced to an On/Off current ratio of 105 at zero bias with an open circuit voltage of 0.53 V for trilayer photodetector ITO/ZnO(100 nm)/PbSTBAI(150 nm)/CsPbI3(250 nm)/Au,in which the CsPbI3 NRs layer works as the interfacial layer.As a result,a specific detectivity of 4.5×10^(13)Jones with a responsivity of 11.12 A/W was obtained under0.1 mW/cm^(2) white light illumination,as well as the rising/decaying time of 0.57 s/0.41 s with excellent stability and reproducibility upto four weeks in air.The enhanced-performance is ascribed to the mismatch bandgap between PbS-TBAI/CsPbI_(3)interface,which can suppress the carrier recombination and provide efficient transport passages for charge carriers.Thus,it provides a feasible and efficient method for high-performance photodetectors. | Muhammad Imran Saleem Shangyi Yang Attia Batool Muhammad Sulaman Chandrasekar Perumal Veeramalai Yurong Jiang Yi Tang Yanyan Cui Libin Tang Bingsuo Zou | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16: | 1 |

Nanometer-sized MgYZn4 precipitates were formed through ordered substitutions of Y with 50% Mg atoms in MgZn2. MgYZn4 has an orthorhombic structure with a space group of Pmnn, and lattice parameters a =5.2965∧, b =9.4886∧, and c =8.5966 ∧. Importantly, both size and structure of MgYZn4 are stable at 625 K for 5 h, showing higher thermostability than MgZn2, which should be important for applications at elevated temperatures. | 17 | Computational Study of Ternary Devices: Stable, Low-Cost,and Efficient Planar Perovskite Solar Cells显示文摘Although perovskite solar cells with power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) more than 22% have been realized with expensive organic charge-transporting materials, their stability and high cost remain to be addressed. In this work, the perovskite configuration of MAPbX(MA = CH_3 NH_3,X = I_3, Br_3, or I_2Br) integrated with stable and low-cost Cu:Ni Oxhole-transporting material, ZnO electron-transporting material, and Al counter electrode was modeled as a planar PSC and studied theoretically. A solar cell simulation program(wx AMPS), which served as an update of the popular solar cell simulation tool(AMPS: Analysis of Microelectronic and Photonic Structures), was used. The study yielded a detailed understanding of the role of each component in the solar celland its effect on the photovoltaic parameters as a whole. The bandgap of active materials and operating temperature of the modeled solar cell were shown to influence the solar cell performance in a significant way. Further, the simulation results reveal a strong dependence of photovoltaic parameters on the thickness and defect density of the light-absorbing layers. Insights into the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in RA have enabled the discovery of new therapeutic targets and led to the development of biologics and targeted synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs. In parallel with the improvement in therapies, the evolution of strategies in the management of RA has also contributed considerably to better outcomes in patients. Major changes include the development of disease activity measures, formulation of the treat-to-target principles as well as increased attention to comorbidities. The presence of comorbidities such as cardiovascular diseases may increase the mortality of RA patients, affect their treatment strategies and result in worse outcomes. Therefore, prevention and management of certain high-risk comorbidities have become increasingly important in the long-term treatment of RA. | 20 | Reversible Audio Watermarking Algorithm Using Non-Causal Prediction显示文摘Reversible watermarking technique enables to extract embedded information without any loss of the host signal. For the reduction of the embedding distortion, a desirable reversible watermarking approach should exploit efficient prediction way to generate prediction errors with a smaller magnitude for expansion embedding. In this paper, we present a reversible audio watermarking scheme based on a new non-causal prediction method and embedding strategy. The proposed non-causal prediction method provides non-integer prediction errors and the proposed expansion embedding strategy can proceed them for a lower embedding distortion.
