1Future Physics Programme of BESⅢ显示文摘There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like XYZ states at BESⅢ and B factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related X(1835) meson state at BESⅢ, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons. We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESⅢ during the remaining operation period of BEPCⅡ. 2U-Pb zircon age for the Daohugou Biota at Ningcheng of Inner Mongolia and comments on related issues显示文摘SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dating was carried out for the Daohugou Biota near Ningcheng of Inner Mongolia and for lavas overlying or underlying sala-mander-bearing strata at Reshuitang in Lingyuan of West Liaoning. The results suggest that the Dao- hugou Biota occurred at an interval from 168 Ma to 164―152 Ma. Both the Daohugou Biota and the salamander-bearing fossil assemblage are the same biota and thus developed from 168 to 152 Ma, i.e. from late Middle Jurassic to the early Late Jurassic. The Daohugou Biota-bearing rocks, resting on the Jiulongshan Formation in disconformity and being overlain in unconformity by Late Jurassic Tuchengzi Formation and Early Cretaceous rocks containing the Jehol Biota, are mainly composed of volcanic-sedi- mentary rocks in a normal sequence. It is recom- mended that the Daohugou Biota and the related stratigraphy should be correlated with the Tiaojishan Formation (Lanqi Formation in West Liaoning) or its synchronous rocks. It is suggested that the Dao- hugou Biota and the Jehol Biota would be neither taken into one biota nor considered as the earliest elements of the Jehol Biota. 3Plant-derived phosphocholine facilitates cellular uptake of anti-pulmonary fibrotic HJT-sRNA-m7显示文摘Pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive chronic disease with a high mortality rate, has limited treatment options. Currently, lung transplantation remains the only effective treatment. Here we report that a small RNA, HJT-sRNA-m7, from a Chinese herbal medicine Hong Jing Tian(HJT, RHODIOHAE CRENULATAE RADIX ET RHIZOMA, Rhodiola crenulata) can effectively reduce the expressions of fibrotic hallmark genes and proteins both in alveolar in vitro and in mouse lung tissues in vivo. We also discovered over one hundred oil-soluble chemicals from HJT decoctions, most of which are found in lipid extracts from other Chinese herbals decoctions, including Pu Gong Ying(PGY, TARAXACI HERBA, Taraxacum mongolicum), Chuan Xin Lian(CXL, changed to 'ANDROGRAPHIS HERBA, Andrographis paniculata'), and Jin Yin Hua(JYH, lonicera japonica or Honeysuckle). We identified the active component in these decoctions as two forms of phosphocholines, PC(18:0/18:2) and PC(16:0/18:2). These PCs potentially could form liposomes with small RNAs to enter human alveolar and gastric cells. 6Fe2N nanoparticles boosting FeNx moieties for highly efficient oxygen reduction reaction in Fe-N-C porous catalyst显示文摘Replacing Pt-based electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) with high performance and low-cost non-precious metal catalysts is crucial for the commercialization of fuel cells.Herein,we present a highly efficient Fe-N-C porous ORR electrocatalyst with FeNx moieties promoted by Fe2N nanoparticles derived from Fe-doped zeolitic imidazolate framework.The best-performing Fe-N-C/HPC-NH3 catalyst exhibits a superior ORR activity with an onset (E0) and half-wave (E1/2) potential of 0.945 and 0.803 V (RHE),respectively,which is comparable to those of the commercial Pt/C in acidic media.Probing and acid-leaching experiments prove that FeNx moieties play an important role in the ORR and the Fe2N can further improve the ORR activity.Density functional theory calculation reveals a synergistic effect that the existence of Fe2N weakens the adsorption of ORR intermediates on active sites and lowers the reaction free energy of the potential limiting step,thus facilitating the ORR.Both experimental evidence and theoretical analysis for the enhancement of ORR activity by Fe2N decoration in Fe-N-C catalyst might inspire a new strategy for rational design of high performance non-precious metal catalysts.Xiao Liu Hong Liu Chi Chen Liangliang Zou Yuan Li Qing Zhang Bo Yang Zhiqing Zou Hui Yang 2019Nano Research2019,12,7:14

8Timing the termination of the Doushantuo negative carbon isotope excursion: evidence from U-Pb ages from the Dengying and Liuchapo formations,South China显示文摘The Doushantuo negative carbon isotope excursion(DOUNCE) is the largest known marine inorganic carbon isotope anomaly. The origin of this pronounced negative excursion is still an enigmatic issue that attracts geologists. Time constraints on the excursion are the critical information that would provide insight into its genesis. In previous decades, the timing of its termination has been constrained by the widely cited zircon U-Pb age of 550.5 ± 0.8 Ma for the tuff at the top of the Miaohe Member at the Jiuqunao section in the Yangtze Gorges area, South China. However, results of recent studies indicate that the reliability of this time constraint needs to be re-evaluated. Here, a geochronological study was carried out using two K-bentonites from Fanglong in South China. A K-bentonite in the lower Dengying Formation yielded a U-Pb age of 557 ± 3 Ma, while a K-bentonite in the basal Liuchapo Formation yielded an age of 550 ± 3 Ma. Based on regional correlations between the Ediacaran successions in South China,the age(557 ± 3 Ma) for the K-bentonite in the lower Dengying Formation may serve as a second critical timing constraint for the ending of the DOUNCE. 9Inhibition of adipogenic differentiation by myostatin is alleviated by arginine supplementation in porcine-muscle-derived mesenchymal stem cells显示文摘Porcine mesenchymal stem cells in postnatal muscle have been demonstrated to differentiate into adipocytes.This increases adipocyte number and lipid accumulation,and is thought to be the origin of intramuscular fat.In this study,the effects of myostatin and arginine on adipogenic differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells derived from porcine muscle (pMDSCs) were investigated in vitro.Intracellular triglyceride levels were reduced by exogenous myostatin and increased by arginine supplementation or myostatin antibody (P<0.01).The inhibition of lipid accumulation by myostatin in pMDSCs was alleviated by arginine supplementation (P<0.01).Expression patterns of adipogenic transcription factors showed that exogenous myostatin suppressed PPARγ2 and aP2 expression (P<0.01),while supplemental arginine or myostatin antibody promoted ADD1 expression (P<0.01).Furthermore,compared with the addition of either myostatin protein or antibody alone,ADD1 and PPARδ expression were promoted by the combination of arginine and myostatin (P<0.01),and arginine combined with myostatin antibody promoted the expression of ADD1,PPAR,C/EBP,PPAR 2 and LPL in pMDSCs (P<0.05).These results suggest that myostatin inhibits adipogenesis in pMDSCs,and that this can be alleviated by arginine supplementation,at least in part,through promoting ADD1 and PPAR expression.LEI HuLong YU Bing YANG XueRong LIU ZeHui HUANG ZhiQing MAO XiangBing TIAN Gang HE Jun HAN GuoQuan CHEN Hong MAO Qian CHEN DaiWen 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,10:4
10Genome-wide detection of additional fetal chromosomal abnormalities by cell-free DNA testing of 15,626 consecutive pregnant women显示文摘Cell-free DNA(cfDNA) testing for common fetal trisomies(T21, T18, T13) is highly effective. However, the usefulness of cfDNA testing in detecting other chromosomal abnormalities is unclear. We evaluated the performance of cfDNA testing for genome-wide abnormalities, and analyzed the incremental yield by reporting extra abnormalities. We performed genome-wide cfDNA testing in 15,626 consecutive pregnancies prospectively enrolled in this study. cfDNA testing results were reported and counseling was given depending on the presence of extra chromosomal abnormalities. cfDNA testing identified 190 cases(1.2%)of chromosomal abnormalities including 100 common trisomies and 90 additional abnormalities. By expanding the cfDNA reporting range to genome-wide abnormalities, the false positive rate increased to 0.39%(P<0.001) and positive predictive value(PPV) was reduced to 65.58%(P=0.42). However, the detection yield increased from 0.44% to 0.65%(P=0.014), and cfDNA testing detected 38.61%(39/101) additional abnormalities with no ultrasound and biochemical screening findings. cfDNA testing outperformed biochemical screening by showing 60 times higher true positive rate and fewer false negative results.Genome-wide cfDNA testing significantly increased the diagnostic yield by detecting extra abnormalities, especially those without diagnostic indications. 11Strong interface contact between NaYF_(4):Yb,Er and CdS promoting photocatalytic hydrogen evolution of NaYF_(4):Yb,Er/CdS composites显示文摘To acquire efficient photocatalysts,it is necessary to make effective use of visible light/Near Infrared(NIR)light,which takes up a large percentage of sunlight.Integrating upconversion materials with visible light active photocatalysts has attracted much attention in this regard.The interface contact between upcon-version material and photocatalyst has potential influence on the properties and thus the performance of the system.In this work,NaYF_(4):Yb,Er/CdS composites of the upconversion material NaYF_(4):Yb,Er nanorods and CdS nanoparticles were synthesized by ion adsorption/precipitation process and were then annealed in an argon atmosphere at different temperatures to modulate the microstructures.The annealing pro-cess endows the crystal transformation of cubic CdS with low crystallinity to hexagonal CdS with high crystallinity and,importantly,good interface contact between NaYF_(4):Yb,Er and CdS.Consequently,the hy-drogen evolution activity greatly increases from 171 to 2539μmol h^(−1) g^(−1) under the light irradiation ofλ>400 nm,and from 0 to 19μmol h^(−1) g^(−1) under the light irradiation ofλ>600 nm.This work might provide a useful reference for the rational design of promising photocatalyst involving upconversion ma-terials.Huaze Zhu Yongqiang Yang Yuyang Kang Ping Niu Xiangdong Kang Zhiqing Yang Hengqiang Ye Gang Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,7:3
12Atomic-resolution studies on reactions between basal dislocations and {1012} coherent twin boundaries in a Mg alloy显示文摘Reactions between basal 〈a60〉 dislocations and {1012} coherent twin boundaries(CTBs) in a Mg alloy were studied with atomic resolution. Individual dislocation-CTB reactions produced steps with residual dislocations and multiple t winnin g dislocations(TDs) gliding away, consequently resulting in TB migration. Reactions between {1012} CTBs and low-angle grain boundaries composed of basal 〈a60〉 dislocations created either basal-prismatic/prismatic-basal interfaces or asymmetric tilt grain boundaries, depending on whether TDs gliding away or not. Not only the emission of TDs by dislocation-TB reactions may drive TB migration, but also the resultant steps or facets along TBs can act as TD sources to facilitate TB migration. Our results indicate that roughness or severe loss of local coherency induced by dislocation-TB reactions does not intrinsically impede TB migration in Mg alloys. 13Effects of environmental factors on seedling growth and anthocyanin content in Betula ‘Royal Frost’ leaves显示文摘Determining the influences of environmental factors on seedling growth and leaf color may improve our understanding of the chromogenic mechanisms in leaves and the biosynthesis of anthocyanin. To determine the optimum conditions for Betula ‘Royal Frost' seedling cultivation, we assessed seedling growth and anthocyanin content under natural conditions. The temperature had a significant influence on height but not on radial growth.Between June and September, the anthocyanin content was significantly positively correlated with light intensity and air moisture and significantly negatively correlated with temperature. In single-factor experiments to determine the variation in anthocyanin content in the greenhouse, anthocyanin content increased with increasing soil water content and at first increased, then decreased with increasing p H of the irrigation water and temperature, but decreased with increasing light intensity. K_2SO_4 can increase the anthocyanin content. So to maintain leaf color, seedlings should be cultivated with< 200 lmol m^(-2) s^(-1) light intensity at 20 °C and soil moisture content between 60 and 90%, and the irrigation water should be neutral or alkaline. 15Geochronology of the Dong Tso Ophiolite and the Tectonic Environment显示文摘The wedge shaped Dong Tso ophiolitic block is distributed near the transition point from the western to the middle sub–belt of the Bangong–Nujiang suture zone.The ophiolite is characterized by well–developed cumulate rocks that are mainly composed of cumulate and massive gabbros.In the cumulate gabbros,the adcumulate amphiboles are distributed extensively around the plagioclase and residual pyroxene grains;hence,the rocks are named adcumulate amphibole–gabbro.In this study,the formation age of the ophiolite has been estimated to be 166±4 million years(Ma)by the sensitive high–resolution ion microprobe(SHRIMP)II U–Pb isotopic analysis of the zircons from the adcumulate amphibole–gabbro;the40Ar/39Ar plateau age was estimated to be 148.19±1.53 Ma,which should represent the emplacement time of the ophiolite,by isotopic dating of the pure amphibole mineral from the amphibole–schist.Two different suits of volcanic lavas have been recognized in this work.The purple colored pillow basalts have high TiO2and P2O5contents,and are rich in light rare earth elements(LREEs),large–ion lithospheric elements(LILEs)and high–field–strength elements(HFSEs),the characteristics that are the typical of the oceanic island basalt(OIB).On the other hand,other massive basaltic andesites of celadon color are poor in MgO;rich in Fe2O3,LREEs,LILEs,and HFSEs;and especially characterized by negative Nb and Ta anomalies,the properties that establish the andesites as continental arc volcanic rocks.It is concluded that hotspots had developed in the old Dong Tso basin,the oceanic basin that had been developing from middle Jurassic(166 Ma)or even before and emplaced northward in late Jurassic(about 148 Ma).LI Jianfeng XIA Bin XIA Lianze XU Lifeng LIU Weiliang CAI Zhourong YANG Zhiqing 2013Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,6:2

17Synergistic effects of Mg-substitution and particle size of chicken eggshells on hydrothermal synthesis of biphasic calcium phosphate nanocrystals显示文摘Magnesium(Mg^2+))ion plays important roles in biomineralization of bone,teeth and calcium carbonate skeletons.Herein,chicken eggshells mainly comprising of Mg-calcite nanocrystals(Mg/(Mg+Ca)2.0 mol.%)were used to fabricate biphasic calcium phosphate(BCP),a mixture of hydroxyapatite(HA)and p-tricalcium phosphate(p-TCP)nanocrystals,through hydrothermal reactions at 200℃for 24 h.Our results indicated thatβ-TCP nanocrystals formed through the ion-exchange reactions of Mg-calcite,while HA nanocrystals were mainly produced by dissolution-reprecipitation reactions on the surfaces of eggshell samples in the hydrothermal system.Mg substitution in calcite resulted in formation ofβ-TCP nanocrystals instead of HA crystals through ion-exchange reactions.BCP samples with different compositions(28.6-77.8 wt.%β-TCP)were produced by controlling particle sizes of eggshells for hydrothermal reactions.The larger particles lead to the larger proportion ofβ-TCP in the BCP composition.Therefore,Mg substitution and particle size had synergetic effects on the hydrothermal synthesis of BCP using chicken eggshells through balance of ion-exchange and dissolution-reprecipitation reactions.Cell culture results showed that the BCP products were non-cytotoxic to MC3 T3-E1 cells,which may be used for bone substitute materials in future.Wei Cui Qibin Song Huhu Su Zhiqing Yang Rui Yang Na Li Xing Zhang 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,1:2
