1The Structure and Formation Mechanism of a Sea Fog Event over the Yellow Sea显示文摘In this paper, a heavy sea fog event occurring over the Yellow Sea on 11 April 2004 was investigated based upon observational and modeling analyses. From the observational analyses, this sea fog event is a typical advection cooling case. Sea surface temperature(SST) and specific humidity(SH) show strong gradients from south to north, in which warm water is located in the south and consequently, moisture is larger in the south than in the north due to evaporation processes. After fog formation, evaporation process provides more moisture into the air and further contributes to fog evolution. The sea fog event was reproduced by the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System(RAMS) reasonably. The roles of important physical processes such as radiation, turbulence as well as atmospheric stratification in sea fog's structure and its formation mechanisms were analyzed using the model results. The roles of long wave radiation cooling, turbulence as well as atmospheric stratification were analyzed based on the modeling results. It is found that the long wave radiative cooling at the fog top plays an important role in cooling down the fog layer through turbulence mixing. The fog top cooling can overpower warming from the surface. Sea fog develops upward with the aid of turbulence. The buoyancy term, i.e., the unstable layer, contributes to the generation of TKE in the fog region. 13Impact of shock loading with mid-stage pulping wastewater on a magnetic micro-aerobic activated sludge system显示文摘The effect of mid-stage pulping wastewater(as shock load)on micro-aerobic magnetic activated sludge system was studied.Micro-aerobic activated sludge systems with and without magnetic particles were shocked with mid-stage wastewater for 16 days.“Recovery”experiments were conducted by using simulated wastewater for 12 days.Upon the addition of mid-stage wastewater,CODCr removal pertaining to the use of magnetic particles reached 71.57%and remained above 80%in the“recovery”experiment.However,the efficiency of the reactor in the absence of magnetic particles was only 37.29%,and reached about 40%in the“recovery”experiment.After the micro-aerobic activated sludge was shocked,the flocculation performance and surface properties of the sludge were analyzed,and the results showed that all indicators of the reactors in the presence of magnetic particles were superior to those of reactors without magnetic particles.After 12 days of“recovery”,the indicators of the sludge pertaining to the reactors containing magnetic particles“recovered”completely.Huixia Lan Hao Zhang Da Yang Shiwen Geng Wei Wang Shanhong Lan 2018Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2018,3,2:0

16Numerical investigation for effects of natural light and ventilation on 3D tomato body heat distribution in a Venlo greenhouse显示文摘Maintaining suitable temperature level around tomato in the greenhouse is essential for the high-quality production.However,in summer,the temperature level around the tomato is usually unclear except using a high-precision temperature imager.To solve this problem,thermal performance of 3D(three-dimensional)tomato model built based on SolidWorks was investigated by the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations.To assess the effect of temperature distribution around the tomato,a simplified 3D tomato numerical model was firstly validated by a set of field measurement data.The light intensity and indoor ventilation were regarded as the mainly environment factors in the Venlo greenhouse,thermal stratification around tomatoes at different time of day was further studied.The numerical results illustrated the different temperature distribution around tomato body under different radiation intensity.It was found that ventilation could obviously adjust the temperature gradient around the tomato,and alleviate high temperature effect particularly in summer.Suitable ventilation could create a suitable thermal environment for the tomato growth.This study clearly demonstrated 3D temperature distribution around tomatoes,which is beneficial to provide the reference for accurate detection of 3D tomato temperature and appropriate thermal environment design.Guanghui Yu Shanhong Zhang Shuai Li Minshu Zhang Hüseyin Benli Yang Wang 2023Information Processing in Agriculture2023,10,4:0
17Investigation on environment monitoring system for a combination of hydroponics and aquaculture in greenhouse显示文摘This work develops a distributed environmental monitoring system for the combination of hydroponics and aquaculture based on the internet of things technology,which mainly includes the information perception layer,the information transmission layer and the sys-tem architecture.The system has employed multiple sensors terminal to real-time acqui-sition,including air and water temperatures,dissolved oxygen etc.LoRa protocol is suitable for sending small data and the 4G was employed to collect data and send to the cloud plat-form.Java is used to develop background applications,to access cloud platforms and local data processing.Based on the collection and processing of environmental data and cloud service platform,the mobile application program client and remote login desktop have been developed.It has been implemented and tested in Tongzhou,Beijing for 3 months in 2020.The results showed the proposed monitoring system stability for overall operation and accuracy data transmission,which can support the actual hydroponics and aquacul-ture production management.After analysis of monitoring data collected from the devel-oped monitoring system,indoor air and water temperature have the obvious correlation with atmospheric pressure(0.7 and 0.9)and outdoor temperature(1.0 and 0.9),respectively.Shanhong Zhang Yu Guo Shuai Li Zhixin Ke Huajian Zhao Jinqi Yang Yang Wang Daoliang Li Liang Wang Wenhua Yang Zhili Zhang 2022Information Processing in Agriculture2022,9,1:0
18Meta-Analysis of the Effect of the Escape Room Teaching Method on Nursing Education显示文摘Objectives:A meta-analysis was conducted to systematically evaluate the effect of the escape room teaching method on nursing education.Methods:We searched PubMed,Medline,Web of Science,CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang databases,with a search time frame from the first day of database establishment to October 2022.Two researchers evaluated the quality of the obtained literature and extracted the data.The RevMan5.4 software was used for meta-analysis.Results:A total of 7 studies involving 1487 nursing students were included.Compared with the control group,the escape room teaching method improved the professional performance of nursing students[standardized mean difference(SMD)=0.98,95%confidence interval(CI;0.38,1.59),P<0.0001].The critical thinking ability of nursing students was enhanced[mean difference(MD)=12.64,95%CI(7.91,17.37),P<0.0001],and the investment level of nursing students in learning was improved[MD=4.18,95%CI(1.74,6.62),P<0.0001].Conclusion:The escape room teaching method can improve nursing students’professional performance,critical thinking ability,and learning engagement level.There is no significant difference in the impact of nursing teaching satisfaction,and there is still a lack of data support.This paper is limited by the quality and quantity of included literature,and more high-quality studies are still needed to further demonstrate the above conclusions.Xin Yang Yuying Hao Shanhong Fan Lina Zhang Rui Song Jie Liu Mei Bian 2023Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2023,7,4:0
19Exploiting articulatory features for pitch accent detection显示文摘Articulatory features describe how articulators are involved in making sounds.Speakers often use a more exaggerated way to pronounce accented phonemes,so articulatory features can be helpful in pitch accent detection.Instead of using the actual articulatory features obtained by direct measurement of articulators,we use the posterior probabilities produced by multi-layer perceptrons(MLPs) as articulatory features.The inputs of MLPs are frame-level acoustic features pre-processed using the split temporal context-2(STC-2) approach.The outputs are the posterior probabilities of a set of articulatory attributes.These posterior probabilities are averaged piecewise within the range of syllables and eventually act as syllable-level articulatory features.This work is the first to introduce articulatory features into pitch accent detection.Using the articulatory features extracted in this way,together with other traditional acoustic features,can improve the accuracy of pitch accent detection by about 2%.Junhong ZHAO Ji XU Wei-qiang ZHANG Hua YUAN Jia LIU Shanhong XIA 2013Journal of Zhejiang University-Science C(Computers and Electronics)2013,14,11:0
20Case Study of Fog Predictability for an Event with Cold-Front Synoptic Pattern显示文摘Fog has recently become a frequent high-impact weather phenomenon along the coastal regions of North China. Accurate fog forecasting remains challenging due to limited understanding of the predictability and mechanism of fog formation associated with synoptic-scale circulation. One frequent synoptic pattern of fog formation in this area is associated with cold front passage(cold-front synoptic pattern, CFSP). This paper explored the predictability of a typical CFSP fog event from the perspective of analyzing key characteristics of synoptic-scale circulation determining fog forecasting performance and the possible mechanism. The event was ensemble forecasted with the Weather Research and Forecasting model. Two groups of ensemble members with good and bad forecasting performance were selected and composited. Results showed that the predictability of this case was largely determined by the simulated strengths of the cold-front circulation(i.e., trough and ridge and the associated surface high). The bad-performing members tended to have a weaker ridge behind a stronger trough, and associated higher pressure over land and a weaker surface high over the sea, leading to an adverse impact on strength and direction of steering flows that inhibit warm moist advection and enhance cold dry advection transported to the focus region. Associated with this cold dry advection, adverse synoptic conditions of stratification and moisture for fog formation were produced, consequently causing failure of fog forecasting in the focus region.
