1Effect of amendments on the leaching behavior of alkaline anions and metal ions in bauxite residue显示文摘A column leaching experiment was used to investigate the efficacy of amendments on their ability to remove alkaline anions and metal ions from bauxite residue leachates.Treatments included,simulated acid rain (AR),phosphogypsum + vermicompost (PVC),phosphogypsum + vermicompost + simulated acid rain (PVA),and biosolids + microorganisms (BSM) together with controls (CK).Results indicated that amendment could effectively reduce the leachate pH and EC values,neutralize OH-,CO32-,HCO3-,and water soluble alkali,and suppress arsenic (As) content.Correlation analysis revealed significant linear correlations with pH and concentrations of OH-,CO32-,HCO3-,water-soluble alkali,and metal ions.BSM treatment showed optimum results with neutralizing anions (OH-,CO32-,and HCO3-),water soluble alkali,and removal of metal ions (Al,As,B,Mo,V,and Na),which was attributed to neutralization from the generation of small molecular organic acids and organic matter during microbial metabolism.BSM treatment reduced alkaline anions and metal ions based on neutralization reactions in bauxite residue leachate,which reduced the potential pollution effects from leachates on the soil surrounding bauxite residue disposal areas.Tao Tian Jinaju Zhou Feng Zhu Yuzhen Ye Ying Guo William Hartley Shengguo Xue 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,11:5
2Improvements on physical conditions of bauxite residue following application of organic materials显示文摘Soil formation and ecological rehabilitation is the most promising strategy to eliminate environmental risks of bauxite residue disposal areas. Its poor physical structure is nevertheless a major limitation to plant growth. Organic materials were demonstrated as effective ameliorants to improve the physical conditions of bauxite residue. In this study, three different organic materials including straw(5% W/W), humic acid(5% W/W), and humic acidacrylamide polymer(0.2% and 0.4%, W/W) were selected to evaluate their effects on physical conditions of bauxite residue pretreated by phosphogypsum following a 120-day incubation experiment. The proportion of 2-1 mm macro-aggregates, mean weight diameter(MWD) and geometric mean diameter(GWD) increased following organic materials addition, which indicated that organic materials could enhance aggregate stability. Compared with straw, and humic acid, humic acid-acrylamide polymer application had improved effects on the formation of water-stable aggregates in the residues. Furthermore, organic materials increased the total porosity, total pore volume and average pore diameter, and reduced the micropore content according to nitrogen gas adsorption(NA) and mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)analysis, whilst enhancing water retention of the residues based on water characteristic curves. Compared with traditional organic wastes, humic acid-acrylamide polymer could be regarded as a candidate according to the comprehensive consideration of the additive amount and the effects on physical conditions of bauxite residue. 4Acupoint electrogymnastics therapy in stroke hemiplegia显示文摘BACKGROUND: Electrogymnastics can offer a range of proprioceptive, motor, and cutaneous sensation impulses to the central nerve system. The center receives perception of the paralyzed muscle through the aid of these impulses. During this process, functional reorganization of connecting network between segment and intersegment takes place. OBJECTIVE: To observe the therapeutic efficacy of acupoint electrogymnastics and traditional electroacupuncture on stroke hemiplegia. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A multicenter, randomized, controlled, blinded, clinical study was performed at the College of Acu-moxibustion and Massage in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2004 to September 2006. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 153 patients suffering from stroke hemiplegia, comprising 83 males and 70 females, aged 63-70 years, were admitted to outpatient and inpatient at LongHua Hospital Affiliated Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese medicine, Putuo District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Changqiao Street Community Health Service Center of Shanghai. METHODS: The patients were randomly divided into treatment (n = 77) and control (n = 76) groups. They were treated with acupoint electrogymnastics and traditional electroacupuncture, respectively. In the treatment group, two pairs of positive and negative JD-2008 type electrodes from a hemiplegia treatment apparatus were directly pasted on the Shousanli (LI 10) and Waiguan (SJ 5) acupoints of the upper limb, as well as the Zusanli (S 36) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) acupoints of the lower limb, respectively. In the control group, needles were consecutively inserted into the above acupoints. Using the method of lifting-inserting and twisting-rotating, the needle was manipulated with small amplitude of 5-7 mm and a fast frequency of 80-120 times/min when the needle was inserted to a suitable depth. When the sensation of needling was attained, the two pairs of positive and negative electrodes of type G6805-II electro-acupuncture apparatus were connected to the Shousanli (LI 10) and Waiguan (SJ 5) acupoints of the upper limb, as well as the Zusanli (S 36) and Yanglingquan(GB 34) acupoints of the lower limb, respectively. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The Fugl-Meyer evaluation method was used to assess upper limb movement, lower limb movement, sensory stimulation of all limbs, balance, and joint range of motion. RESULTS: Upper-lower limb motor function, limb sensory function, balance, and joint range of motion were significantly ameliorated following treatment, compared with pre-treatment (P < 0.01). There was no significant difference in various indexes between the two groups after treatment (P > 0.05). 5Robust direction-of-arrival estimation method with high accuracy for single vector sensor显示文摘The phase errors among the components of a single acoustic vector sensor cause the direction-of-arrival(DOA) estimation error of the existing methods.In order to address this issue,a DOA estimation method is proposed,which is robust to the phase errors.The proposed method first utilizes the Hadamard product of the principal eigenvector of the covariance matrix of the received signal by the single vector sensor and its conjugate vector to construct the spatial spectrum in order to estimate the DOA of the underwater target.Since the Hadamard product eliminates the phase errors,this estimation is independent of the phase errors.However,it is ambiguous.Afterwards,the phase-error estimate is explored to eliminate the ambiguity and get the correct DOA estimate.The proposed method performs independently of the phase errors and obtains high accuracy.The simulation results and the experimental result demonstrate the proposed method is robust to the phase errors.Furthermore,in the presence of the phase errors,it performs better than the average acoustic intensity method,the CAPON method,and the MUSIC method,in terms of estimation accuracy.In addition,the simulation results indicate that the estimation accuracy of the proposed method approaches to the Cramer-Rao bound(CRB).LIU Aifei YANG Desen SHI Shengguo LI Sichun LI Ying 2021Chinese Journal of Acoustics2021,40,1:0
