| 1 | Discovery and Analysis of Shale Gas in a Carboniferous Reservoir and its Enrichment Characteristics in the Northern Nanpanjiang Depression, Guizhou Province, China显示文摘Shale gas resources are considered to be extremely abundant in southern China,which has dedicated considerable attention to shale gas exploration in recent years.Exploration of shale gas has considerably progressed and several breakthroughs have been made in China.However,shale gas explorations are still scarce.Summary and detailed analysis studies on black shale reservoirs are still to be performed for many areas.This lack of information slows the progress of shale gas explorations and results in low quantities of stored black shale.The Carboniferous Dawuba Formation,which is widely distributed and considerably thick,is one of the black shale formations targeted for shale gas exploration in southern China in the recent years.The acquisition and analysis of total organic carbon,vitrinite reflectance,types of organic matter,mineral composition,porosity,and permeability are basic but important processes.In addition,we analyzed the microscopic pores present in the shale.This study also showesd the good gas content of the Dawuba Formation,as well as the geological factors affecting its gas content and other characteristics.To understand the prospect of exploration,we compared this with other shale reservoirs which have been already successfully explored for gas.Our comparison showesd that those shale reservoirs have similar but not identical geological characteristics. | LU Shufan LUO Xiangjian DU Shengjiang HE Ben FU Hongbin LIU Kuiyong | 2019 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3: | 5 |
| 2 | Super-enrichment of lithium and niobium in the upper Permian Heshan Formation in Pingguo,Guangxi,China显示文摘The upper Permian Heshan Formation in Pingguo,Guangxi,China,is strongly enriched in lithium(Li)and niobium(Nb).The lower bauxite layer contains 0.02–0.04 wt.%Nb_(2)O_(5)(averaging 0.035 wt.%),and the overlying clay rock layer contains 0.06–1.05 wt.%Li_(2)O(averaging 0.44 wt.%),both of which exceed the cut-off grades for independent Li and Nb deposits and are therefore highly prospective.In this study,a preliminary discussion of the genesis of the Li and Nb enrichment is presented to serve as a reference for the investigation,evaluation,and prospecting for clay-and sedimentary-type Li and Nb ores in other regions.The preliminary conclusions are that:(1)The bauxite ore contains abundant anatase,which positively correlates with the whole-rock concentrations of TiO_(2) and Nb,indicating that the Nb is hosted mainly in the anatase;(2)the cookeite content in the clay rock positively correlates with the whole-rock Li concentration,indicating that cookeite is the main carrier mineral of Li,and its genesis can be attributed to reactions between clay minerals(e.g.,pyrophyllite and illite)and Li-Mg-rich underground brine or pore water and groundwater in coastal areas;and(3)provenance analysis of immobile elements(Al,Ti,Nb,Ta,Zr,Hf,and rare earth elements)suggests distinct sources for the Nb-rich bauxite and the overlying Li-rich clay rocks,with the bauxite and Nb originating largely from alkaline felsic rocks in the Emeishan Large Igneous Province,and the clay rocks being derived from peraluminous or moderately fractionated felsic rocks associated with Permian Paleo-Tethyan magmatic arcs. | Kunyue LING Hanjie WEN Qizuan ZHANG Chongguang LUO Hannian GU Shengjiang DU Wenxiu YU | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,5: | 4 |
| 3 | Nanostructured ZnO for biosensing applications显示文摘Based on the unique properties, nanostructured ZnO could provide a stable immobilization for biomolecules retaining their biological activity. It has been recently developed as a nice candidate for the construction of biosensors with enhanced analytical performance. In this paper, we reviewed the progress in adapting nanostructured ZnO for several predominantly in biosensing applications based on enzymic reaction, immunoreaction, and molecular compitation. | 4 | Metallic photonic crystals for terahertz tunable filters显示文摘We have investigated the photonic band gap and transmission properties of metallic photonic crystals(PCs)filled with liquid crystal(LC)in the terahertz region by using the finite element method and the finite-dierence time-domain method.The calculations on the LC-filled metallic PC and metallic PC waveguide demonstrated that they can realize low-loss broadband terahertz tunable filters,which have a tunable range of about 110 GHz and extinction ratio larger than 35 dB.Moreover,the 3 dB bandwidths of the filters keep constant.The designed filters based on the metallic PC can greatly improve the performances in terms of loss,bandwidth and tunable region compared to those based on the LC-filled dielectric PC. | FAN Fei CHANG ShengJiang HOU Yu | 2012 | Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,1: | 3 |
| 5 | Can other host species of cotton bollworm be non-Bt refuges to prolong the effectiveness of Bt-cotton?显示文摘The potential ecological risks of Bacillus thurigiensis (Bt) insecticides and Bt-crops have caused increasing concern since their commercial release in the field, among which pests’ resistance to Bt-crops is the major ecological risk. Refuge tactic, which can produce sensitive populations, has proved to be a key and sound resistance management strategy in USA and Australia; however, no tactics have been performed in China where Bt-cotton is mostly planted with other host crops of cotton bollworm. Genetic variation and gene flow among different host populations of the cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera were analyzed using PCR fingerprinting method. | 7 | Tunable magneto-optical polarization device for terahertz waves based on InSb and its plasmonic structure显示文摘The nonreciprocal circular dichroism and Faraday rotation effect for terahertz(THz) waves in longitudinally magnetized InSb were investigated by theoretical and experimental studies in the THz regime, which indicated its ability for a THz circularly polarized isolator, THz circular polarizer, tunable polarization converter, and polarization modulator by manipulation of different magnetic fields. Furthermore, we demonstrated the InSb plasmonics based on its magneto-optical effects combined with artificial microstructure. We found the magnetooptical enhancement mechanisms in this magneto-plasmonic structure, achieving broadband near-perfect orthogonal linear polarization conversion modulated by the weak magnetic field in an experiment with an extinction ratio of 33 dB. Moreover, the magneto-optical modulation with an amplitude modulation depth of 95.8% can be achieved by this device under a weak magnetic field of 150 mT.
