2On the error bounds of nonconforming finite elements显示文摘We prove that the error estimates of a large class of nonconforming finite elements are dominated by their approximation errors, which means that the well-known Cea's lemma is still valid for these nonconforming finite element methods. Furthermore, we derive the error estimates in both energy and L2 norms under the regularity assumption u ∈ H1+s(Ω) with any s > 0. 4Uptake of graphene enhanced the photophosphorylation performed by chloroplasts in rice plants显示文摘New and enhanced functions were potentially imparted to the plant organelles after interaction with nanoparticles.In this study,we found that∼44%and∼29%of the accumulated graphene in the rice leaves passively transported to the chloroplasts and thylakoid,respectively,significantly enhanced the fluorescence intensity of chloroplasts,and promoted about 2.4 times higher adenosine triphosphate production than that of controls.The enhancement of graphene on the photophosphorylation was ascribed to two reasons:One is that graphene facilitates the electron transfer process of photosystem II in thylakoid,and the other is that graphene protects the photosystem II against photo-bleaching by acting as a scavenger of reactive oxygen species.Overall,our work here confirmed that graphene translocating in the thylakoid promoted the photosynthetic activity of chloroplast in vivo and in vitro,providing new opportunities for designing biomimetic materials to enhance the solar energy conversion systems,especially for repairing or increasing the photosynthesis activity of the plants grown under stress environment.Kun Lu Danlei Shen Shipeng Dong Chunying Chen Sijie Lin Shan Lu Baoshan Xing Liang Mao 2020Nano Research2020,13,12:4
5The Genetic Mechanism of Inertinite in the Middle Jurassic Inertinite- Rich Coal Seams of the Southern Ordos Basin显示文摘also an important geological information carrier of coal forming environments.In the southern section of the Ordos Basin,the No.4 inertinite-rich coal seam of the Middle Jurassic Yan’an Formation in the Binchang Coal field was selected as an example to study the genetic mechanism of the inertinite.In this study,the results obtained from experimental tests of coal rock,including principal and trace elements,stable carbon isotopes,scanning electron microscopy,inertinite reflectance,sporopollen and free radical retorting methods,were analyzed.Then,the findings were combined with the previous understanding of the oxygen content in the atmosphere and ground fire characteristics,in order to discuss the genesis mechanism of inertinite in the No.4 coal seam.The obtained research results were as follows:(1)During the coal forming period of the No.4 coal seam,the overall climate had been relatively dry.There were four relatively dry-wet climate cycles in the No.4 coal seam,which were controlled by the eccentricity astronomical period.The inertinite content were relatively high during the dry periods;(2)The temperature range suitable for microorganism activities during the oxidation processes was between 0 and 80℃.The simulation results of the free radical concentrations showed that the maximum temperature of fusain in the No.4 coal seam during the process of coalification had not exceeded 300℃,which was significantly higher than the temperature range of microorganism activities.Therefore,these were not conducive to the activities of microorganism and formation of inertinite during the coal-forming period;(3)The genesis temperature of the inertinite in the No.4 coal seam was calculated according to the reflectance of the inertinite,which was lower than 400℃.This result supported the cause of wildfire of the inertinite and reflected that the type of wildfire was mainly ground fire,along with partially surface fire.Moreover,the paleogeographic location,climatic conditions,atmospheric oxygen concentration,etc.of the study area showed that the conditions for wildfire events were in fact available;(4)There were dense and scattered fusinite observed in the No.4 coal seam,and the thickness of cell walls were found to differ.It was speculated that this was related to the type of wildfire,combustion temperatures,combustion timeframes,and different initial conditions of the burned objects during the coal forming periods.Dongdong Wang Qiang Mao Guoqi Dong Shipeng Yang Dawei Lv Lusheng Yin 2019Journal of Geological Research2019,1,3:3

8HTR2A agonists play a therapeutic role by restricting ILC2 activation in papain-induced lung inflammation显示文摘Group 2 innate lymphoid cells(ILC2s)are a category of heterogeneous cells that produce the cytokines IL-5 and IL-13,which mediate the type 2 immune response.However,specific drug targets on lung ILC2s have rarely been reported.Previous studies have shown that type 2 cytokines,such as IL-5 and IL-13,are related to depression.Here,we demonstrated the negative correlation between the depression-associated monoamine neurotransmitter serotonin and secretion of the cytokines IL-5 and IL-13 by ILC2s in individuals with depression.Interestingly,serotonin ameliorates papain-induced lung inflammation by suppressing ILC2 activation.Our data showed that the serotonin receptor HTR2A was highly expressed on ILC2s from mouse lungs and human PBMCs.Furthermore,an HTR2A selective agonist(DOI)impaired ILC2 activation and alleviated the type 2 immune response in vivo and in vitro.Mice with ILC2-specific depletion of HTR2A(Il5^(cre/+)·Htr2a^(flox/flox)mice)abolished the DOI-mediated inhibition of ILC2s in a papain-induced mouse model of inflammation.In conclusion,serotonin and DOI could restrict the type 2 lung immune response,indicating a potential treatment strategy for type 2 lung inflammation by targeting HTR2A on ST2+ILC2s.Zhishuo Wang Chenghua Yan Qizhen Du Yuying Huang Xuezhen Li Dan Zeng Ruizhi Mao Rama Krishna Gurram Shipeng Cheng Wangpeng Gu Lin Zhu Weiguo Fan Liyan Ma Zhiyang Ling Ju Qiu Dangsheng Li Enmei Liu Yaguang Zhang Yiru Fang Jinfang Zhu Bing Sun 2023Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,4:1
9Nonconforming rotated Q_1 element on non-tensor product anisotropic meshes显示文摘In this paper, we consider the nonconforming rotated Q1 element for the second order elliptic problem on the non-tensor product anisotropic meshes, i.e. the anisotropic affine quadrilateral meshes. Though the interpolation error is divergent on the anisotropic meshes,we overcome this difficulty by constructing another proper operator. Then we give the optimal approximation error and the consistency error estimates under the anisotropic affine quadrilateral meshes. The results of this paper provide some hints to derive the anisotropic error of some finite elements whose interpolations do not satisfy the anisotropic interpolation properties. 13Awakening the oxygen evolution activity of MoS_(2) by oxophilic-metal induced surface reorganization engineering显示文摘Although molybdenum disulfide (MoS_(2))-based materials are generally known as active electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), the inert performance for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) seriously limits their wide applications in alkaline electrolyzers due to there exists too strong metal-sulfur (M−S) bond in MoS_(2). Herein, by means of surface reorganization engineering of bimetal Al, Co-doped MoS_(2) (devoted as AlCo_(3)-MoS_(2)) through in situ substituting partial oxidation, we successfully significantly activate the OER activity of MoS_(2), which affords a considerably low overpotential of 323 mV at −30 mA cm^(−2), far lower than those of MoS_(2), Al-MoS_(2) and Co-MoS_(2) catalysts. Essentially, the AlCo_(3)-MoS_(2) substrate produces lots of M−O (M=Al, Co and Mo) species with oxygen vacancies, which trigger the surface self-reconstruction of pre-catalysts and simultaneously boost the electrocatalytic OER activity. 15Anisotropic adaptive finite element method for magnetohydrodynamic flow at high Hartmann numbers显示文摘This paper presents an anisotropic adaptive finite element method(FEM) to solve the governing equations of steady magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) duct flow. A residual error estimator is presented for the standard FEM, and two-sided bounds on the error independent of the aspect ratio of meshes are provided. Based on the Zienkiewicz-Zhu estimates, a computable anisotropic error indicator and an implement anisotropic adaptive refinement for the MHD problem are derived at different values of the Hartmann number.The most distinguishing feature of the method is that the layer information from some directions is captured well such that the number of mesh vertices is dramatically reduced for a given level of accuracy. Thus, this approach is more suitable for approximating the layer problem at high Hartmann numbers. 17Assessing comparable bioconcentration potentials for nanoparticles in aquatic organisms via combined utilization of machine learning and toxicokinetic models显示文摘The toxicokinetic(TK)model‐derived kinetic bioconcentration factor(BCFk)provides a quantitatively comparable index to estimate the bioaccumulation potential of nanoparticles(NPs)that barely reach thermodynamic equilibrium in aquatic organisms,but experimental data are limited for various NPs.In the present study,a machine learning model was applied to offer reliable in silico predictions for the dynamic body burden of diverse NPs to derive corresponding parameters for the TK model.The developed eXtreme Gradient Boosting‐derived TK(XGB‐TK)model was applied to predict BCFk results for a broad range of metallic or carbonaceous NPs,with an appreciable prediction R2 of 0.96.The BCFk values were predicted based on a random combination of selected variable features,revealing that their bioaccumulation potential showed an overall negative correlation with NP density or organism size.By applying importance analysis and partial dependence plots,NP density and organism size were revealed to be the top essential features that impact the bioaccumulation potential.The conjunctively used XGB‐TK model enabled a prior comparison for diverse NPs and straightforward derivation on the dependency of features,which could also guide the bioaccumulation mechanism exploration and experimental condition formulation.Shipeng Dong Zihao Wu Mingjie Wang Xiaoyan Sun Liang Mao 2023SmartMat2023,4,3:0

19Anisotropic Superconvergence Analysis for the Wilson Nonconforming Element显示文摘The regular condition (there exists a constant c independent of the element K and the mesh such that hK/ρK ≤ c, where hK and ρK are diameters of K and the biggest ball contained in K, respectively) or the quasi-uniform condition is a basic assumption in the analysis of classical finite elements. In this paper, the supercloseness for consistency error and the superconvergence estimate at the central point of the element for the Wilson nonconforming element in solving second-order elliptic boundary value problem are given without the above assumption on the meshes. Furthermore the global superconvergence for the Wilson nonconforming element is obtained under the anisotropic meshes.
