1Studies on Reducing Nitrogen Excretion: Ⅰ. Net Energy Requirement of Finishing Pigs Maximizing Performance and Carcass Quality Fed Low Crude Protein Diets Supplemented with Crystalline Amino Acids显示文摘Two experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of net energy (NE) level on the performance and carcass traits of finishing pigs fed low crude protein (CP) diets supplemented with crystalline amino acids (CAA). A total of 216 (Exp.1) and 360 (Exp.2) barrows (Yorkshire×Landrace×Duroc) were allotted to one of six treatments (n=6). The experimental diets were based on corn and soybean meal, and consisted of a highCP diet that contained approximately 16% CP and 2.50 Mcal/kg of NE as well as five lowCP diets in which the CP level of the diet was reduced by approximately four percentage units but was supplemented with crystalline lysine, methionine, threonine, and tryptophan. The low CP diets provided 2.64, 2.58, 2.50, 2.42, or 2.36 Mcal/kg in Exp.1 as well as 2.45, 2.40, 2.35, 2.30, or 2.25 Mcal/kg in Exp.2. In Exp.1, a linear (P=0.03) increase in weight gain was observed with decreasing NE level while the ratio of gain to feed was unaffected (P>0.05) by NE level. There was a linear increase (P=0.01) in the percentage of fatfree lean and a linear decrease (P=0.03) in the percentage of total fat with decreasing NE levels. In Exp.2, a significant quadratic (P=0.03) effect of NE level was observed for weight gain. The ratio of gain to feed demonstrated a significant (P<0.01) quadratic effect with pigs fed 2.35 and 2.40 Mcal/kg of NE. Pigs fed the diet containing 2.40 Mcal/kg of NE had the lowest percentage of total fat (36.95%) and the highest percentage of fatfree lean (49.36%). The overall results of these experiments indicate that feeding either a surplus or a deficiency of NE is detrimental to both pig performance and carcass composition when low CP diets supplemented with CAA are fed. Our results indicate that when the CP content of the diet is reduced by four percentage units and the diet is properly supplemented with CAA, maximum performance and carcass quality will be obtained if the diet provides approximately 2.42 Mcal/kg of NE.Hongyu Chen Xuewu Yi Guijie Zhang Ning Lu Licui Chu P. 2Zonal propagation of kinetic energy and convection in the South China Sea and Indian monsoon regions in boreal summer显示文摘Zonal propagation of kinetic energy (KE) and convection in the South China Sea (SCS) and Indian summer monsoon areas are examined in present study. Results suggest that the SCS and Indian summer monsoon prevailed regions (5 —15°N) are dominated by the southwesterly wind, however, the disturbances of KE at 850 hPa and convection are observed mainly coming from the western Pacific Ocean (140—150°E), after passing through the SCS, and westward propagated into the Bay of Bengal (90—100°E). In the Indian summer monsoon domain, where the disturbances of KE are found mainly coming from the Arabian Sea (AS) and eastward propagated into the Bay of Bengal. Therefore, the SCS and the Indian summer mon- soon are quite different in zonal propagation of KE and convection. The SCS summer monsoon is mainly affected by the KE and convection coming from the tropical western Pacific. The Indian summer monsoon, however, can be partly influenced by the AS and the SCS summer monsoon. 3Light-responsive and corrosion-resistant gas valve with non-thermal effective liquid-gating positional flow control显示文摘Safe and precise control of gas flow is one of the key factors to many physical and chemical processes,such as degassing,natural gas transportation,and gas sensor.In practical application,it is essential for the gas-involved physicochemical process to keep everything under control and safe,which significantly relies on the controllability,safety,and stability of their valves.Here we show a light-responsive and corrosion-resistant gas valve with non-thermal effective liquid-gating positional flow control under a constant pressure by incorporating dynamic gating liquid with light responsiveness of solid porous substrate.Our experimental and theoretical analysis reveal that the photoisomerization of azobenzene-based molecular photoswitches on the porous substrate enabled the gas valve to possess a light-responsive and reversible variation of substantial critical pressure of non-thermal effective gas flow switch.Moreover,the chemically inert gating liquid prevented the solid substrate from corrosion and,by combining with the high spatiotemporal resolution of light,the gas valve realizes a precisely positional open and close under a steady-state pressure.The application demonstrations in our results show the potentials of the new gas valve for bringing opportunities to many applications,such as gas-involved reaction control in microfluidics,soft actuators,and beyond.Baiyi Chen Rongrong Zhang Yaqi Hou Jian Zhang Shiyan Chen Yuhang Han Xinyu Chen Xu Hou 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,7:3
4Durable and Flexible Bio-assembled RGO-BC/BC Bilayer Electrodes for Pressure Sensing显示文摘The new generation of electronics tends to be well-performed,facile and environmentally friendly.Here,we report a bio-assembled sensitive pressure senor based on reduced graphene oxide-bacterial cellulose/bacterial cellulose(RGO-BC/BC)bilayer films,integrated by bacteria in one step.The advantage of this integration is that there is strong nanofiber connection between the conductive RGO-BC and insulative highly compressible porous BC layer,which confers RGO-BC/BC film electrode with good robustness,tailorability,flexibility and wearability.Without extra bonding-interface or postprocessing,the RGO-BC/BC bilayer films could be directly assembled into pressure sensing devices.Ascribed from the good reversible compressibility of the BC layer and incorporated bilayer structure,the pressure sensor performs good sensitivity and excellent durability and bending stability.The facile sensitive capacitive sensor could monitor the human hand or finger motion in real time.The sensing array is able to detect the spatial distribution of pressure mounted in the flat plane as well as curved surface of human body,succeeding in the correction of human walking posture for health care.The e-skins are potential in wearable electronics,artificial intelligence,soft robots,healthcare etc.Fangyi Guan Zhiliang Han Mengtian Jin Zhuotong Wu Ye Chen Shiyan Chen Huaping Wang 2021Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,2:2
5Towards carbon neutrality:A study on China's long-term low-carbon transition pathways and strategies显示文摘As the world's biggest carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emitter and the largest developing country,China faces daunting challenges to peak its emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality within 40 years.This study fully considered the carbon-neutrality goal and the temperature rise constraints required by the Paris Agreement,by developing six long-term development scenarios,and conducting a quantitative evaluation on the carbon emissions pathways,energy transformation,technology,policy and investment demand for each scenario.This study combined both bottom-up and top-down methodologies,including simulations and analyses of energy consumption of end-use and power sectors(bottom-up),as well as scenario analysis,investment demand and technology evaluation at the macro level(top-down).This study demonstrates that achieving carbon neutrality before 2060 translates to significant efforts and overwhelming challenges for China.To comply with the target,a high rate of an average annual reduction of CO_(2) emissions by 9.3%from 2030 to 2050 is a necessity,which requires a huge investment demand.For example,in the 1.5℃ scenario,an investment in energy infrastructure alone equivalent to 2.6%of that year's GDP will be necessary.The technological pathway towards carbon neutrality will rely highly on both conventional emission reduction technologies and breakthrough technologies.China needs to balance a long-term development strategy of lower greenhouse gas emissions that meets both the Paris Agreement and the long-term goals for domestic economic and social development,with a phased implementation for both its five-year and long-term plans.Jiankun He Zheng Li Xiliang Zhang Hailin Wang Wenjuan Dong Ershun Du Shiyan Chang Xunmin Ou Siyue Guo Zhiyu Tian Alun Gu Fei Teng Bin Hu Xiu Yang Siyuan Chen Mingtao Yao Zhiyi Yuan Li Zhou Xiaofan Zhao Ying Li Danwei Zhang 2022Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2022,,1:2
