| 2 | Pilomyxoid Astrocytoma in Cerebellum显示文摘Pilomyxoid astrocytoma is a new identified variant type of pilocytic astrocytoma,and typically locates in the hypothalamic and chiasmatic region.Herein,we reported a nine-year-old boy with pilomyxoid astrocytoma in the cerebellum.MRI scanning showed a tumor involved the cerebellar vermis,tonsil,the forth ventricle and brainstem.It was homogeneous isointensity on T1WI,relative hyper-intensity on T2WI,hyper-intensity on fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) images,and uniform enhancement on contrast T1WI.The tumor was sub-totally removed and was proved histologically to be pilomyxoid astrocytoma.Follow-up at the 5th month,MRI showed the residual tumor enlarged at the brainstem.The patient survived 10 months after the operation,and finally died of respiration failure resulting from brainstem dysfunction. | Peng-fei Ge Hai-feng Wang Li-mei Qu Bo Chen Shuanglin Fu Yinan Luo | 2011 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2011,23,3: | 2 |

| 4 | Sensitivity Difference in the Extratropical Atmosphere to Two Types of El Nio Events显示文摘A comparison of sensitivity in extratropical circulation in the Northern Hemisphere(NH)and Southern Hemisphere(SH)is conducted through observational analyses and diagnostic linear model experiments for two types of El Nio events,the traditional El Nio with the strongest warmth in the eastern tropical Pacific(EP El Nio)and the El Nio Modoki with the strongest warmth in the central tropical Pacific(CP El Nio).It is shown that CP El Nio favors the occurrence of a negative-phase Northern Annular Mode(NAM),while EP El Nio favors that of the Pacific-North American(PNA)pattern.In SH,both EP and CP El Nio induce a negative phase Southern Annular Mode(SAM).However,the former has a greater amplitude,which is consistent with the stronger sea surface temperature(SST)warmth.The difference in the two types of El Nio events in NH may originate from the dependence of heating-induced extratropical response on the location of initial heating,which may be associated with activity of the stationary wave.In SH,the lack of sensitivity to the location of heating can be associated with weaker activity of the stationary wave therein. | FU Jian-Jian ZHANG Ming-Hong HAN Zhe LI Shuanglin | 2013 | Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters2013,6,5: | 1 |
| 5 | Intercomparison of the South Asian High in NCEP1, NCEP2, and ERA-40 Reanalyses and in Station Observations显示文摘The South Asian Highs (SAHs) at 100 hPa over China in the three reanalysis datasets NCEP1, NCEP2, and ERA-40 are evaluated by using station observation data. The results demonstrate a substantial discrepancy even between the reanalyses. First, the data of the three reanalyses generally underestimate the intensity of the SAH in the China domain. Second, there are interdecadal changes in the SAH, with highs in the 1960s and 1980s and lows in the 1970s, 1990s, and 2000s. This interdecadal variation of the SAH can be well depicted with NCEP1 data, but the high in the 1980s is missed by ERA-40. The NCEP2 corresponds well with NCEP 1 and captures the decreasing trend after 1979. Furthermore, the NCEP1 reanalysis overestimates the interdecadal changes of SAH, while ERA-40 underestimates the interdecadal changes. However, the waste from large-scale pig farms are discharged in a concentrated manner, which aggravates environmental pollution and increases treatment difficulty, and improper disposal can lead to serious environmental problems. The main pollutants in the waste from large-scale pig farms are high-concentration organic pollutants, nitrogen and phosphorus. Meanwhile, they are also the main nutrients needed for the growth of plants, animals and microorganisms. | 7 | Anaerobic co-digestion of thermo-alkaline pretreated microalgae and sewage sludge: Methane potential and microbial community显示文摘To improve methane production from sewage sludge(SS),co-digestion of SS and microalgae(MA)was studied and the application of thermo-alkaline pretreatment to MA was evaluated.The results showed that thermo-alkaline pretreatment at 90℃ for 120 min on MA was the optimum pretreatment condition.Furthermore,when the volatile solids(VS)ratio of SS and MA was 1:2,the methane yield reached maximum(368.94 mL/g VS).Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)and thermogravimetric analysis confirmed the synergetic effects of thermoalkaline pretreated MA on its co-digestion with SS.The analyses of microbial community indicated that Methanobacterium and Methanosarcina were the dominant methanogens during the co-digestion process.However,the relative abundance of Methanosarcina in thermoalkaline pretreated groups was higher compared to unpretreated groups.The microbial community structure might be affected by thermo-alkaline pretreatment rather than by the MA dosage in the co-digestion. | Jiaqi Fu Bing Yan Shuanglin Gui Yinxuan Fu Song Xia | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,5: | 0 |
