1PIV measurement on internal instantaneous flows of a centrifugal pump显示文摘In this paper,the internal flow field in a centrifugal pump working at the design flow rate operating condition has been measured using the particle image velocimetry(PIV)technique with the fluorescent particles and the index-matched fluid technology.The index-marching fluid with the same refractive index as the transparent material has been prepared and applied in the present test of pump with geometrical complex walls.The comparison between velocity distributions of PIV results both with and without fluorescent particles,as well as with and without index-marching fluid are conducted to find the differences.The DES(Detached Eddy Simulation)has been employed to calculate the three-dimensional unsteady turbulent flow in the pump to examine and to certify the PIV measurement results.The DES results of instantaneous flow velocity fields agree with PIV test results with fluorescent particles and index-marching fluid.It is necessary to perform the PIV measurement of pumps with fluorescent seeds and index-marching fluid in order to get exact results.The experimental results show the distributions of velocity,steamlines,and the principal Reynolds normal stress(PRNS)and the principal Reynolds shear stress(PRSS).WU YuLin LIU ShuHong YUAN HuiJing SHAO Jie 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,2:20
2An optimization method on runner blades in bulb turbine based on CFD analysis显示文摘In this paper an optimization method of the runner blades in a bulb turbine based on CFD analysis is proposed.In the method the main scales of the turbine including guide vane,runner and draft are maintained.Only the runner blades are modified based on the present method.In the optimization method the runner blade is expressed by spline surface with a gather of coordinate points.The B-spline curve is used to keep the modified blades smooth.In order to make the blade optimization simple and ef- ficient,one of the coordinates is fixed and only the angles of the points are changed according to different modification purposes.Three main optimization principles based on flow diagnosis are presented here.These three principles are all based on the CFD analysis of the internal flow in bulb turbine.For the purpose of method verification,the optimization method is used in a model bulb turbine.A three dimensional steady turbulent computation is carried out through the whole passage including the bulb body,guide vanes,runner and draft tube of the bulb turbine under seven different work conditions.An SST k-ωturbulence model is used during the CFD analysis and the performance of the turbine can be achieved.The runner blade is optimized according to the three optimization principles based on flow diagnosis.The CFD analysis is conducted again on the optimized turbine and another modification is needed if the new turbine can’t satisfy the required performance.Comparison of the computational results between the original turbine and an optimized one indicates that the optimization method is practical and does improve the performance of the bulb turbine.YANG Wei WU YuLin LIU ShuHong 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,2:15

4Numerical simulation of pressure fluctuation in Kaplan turbine显示文摘As it is almost impossible to carry out the prototype hydro-turbine experiment be- fore the power plant is built up, rational prediction of pressure fluctuations in the prototype turbine is very important at the design stage. From this viewpoint, we at first treated the unsteady turbulent flow computation based on the modified RNG k-ε turbulence model through the whole flow passage to simulate the pressure fluctuation in a model turbine. Since fair agreement was recognized between the numerical results and the experimental data, this numerical method was applied to simulate the pressure fluctuations in the prototype turbine. From the comparison of them with the model turbine results, it is seen that their qualitative trend of pres- sure fluctuations are similar, but an appreciable difference is observed between the amplitudes of pressure fluctuation of the prototype turbine and that of the model turbine. Though the present findings may be explained by the effect of Reynolds number, further studies are expected for quantitative interpretation. We paid atten- tion to the interaction between the fluid and turbine structure. 6Application of a novel redox-active electrolyte in MnO_2-based supercapacitors显示文摘This paper reports a novel strategy for preparing redox-active electrolyte through introducing a redox-mediator(p-phenylenediamine,PPD) into KOH electrolyte for the application of ball-milled MnO 2-based supercapacitors.The morphology and compositions of ball-milled MnO 2 were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The electrochemical properties of the supercapacitor were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry(CV),galvanostatic charge-discharge(GCD),and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) techniques.The introduction of p-phenylenediamine significantly improves the performance of the supercapacitor.The electrode specific capacitance of the supercapacitor is 325.24 F g-1,increased by 6.25 folds compared with that of the unmodified system(44.87 F g-1) at the same current density,and the energy density has nearly a 10-fold increase,reaching 10.12 Wh Kg-1.In addition,the supercapacitor exhibits good cycle-life stability.YU HaiJun WU JiHuai FAN LeQing LIN YouZhen CHEN ShuHong CHEN Yuan WANG JiangLi HUANG MiaoLiang LIN JianMing LAN Zhang HUANG YunFang 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,7:3

8Single nucleotide polymorphisms in candidate genes are significantly associated with resistance to Haemonchus contortus infection in goats显示文摘Background: Haemonchosis is a major economic problem in goat production in humid, tropical and subtropical regions. The disease is caused by an abomasal nematode, Haemonchus contortus, which is highly pathogenic in small ruminants. The aim of this study was to identifying single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP) that were associated with fecal egg counts(FEC) and could be used as markers to identify resistance to H. contortus in goats.Results: Ten novel variants in the CI TA, ATP2 A3, HSPA8, STAT5 B, ESYT1, and SERPING1 genes were associated with FEC in goats with a nominal significance level of P < 0.05. Two missense mutation in the exon region of the caprine CI TA gene resulted in replacement of arginine with cysteine at position 9473550(R9473550 C) and aspartic acid with glutamic acid at position 9473870(D9473870 E). Chinese goat breeds had significantly higher FEC than Bangladeshi goat breeds within their respective genotypes. Polymorphism information content(PIC), effective al ele number(Ne), and heterozygosity(He)were greatest for the STAT5 B197A > G SNP locus in al goat breeds. Pairwise coefficients of linkage disequilibrium(D′, r2)revealed complete LD(r2= 1) between significant SNP polymorphisms in CI TA and SERPING1 and strong LD(r2= 0.93 and0.98) between polymorphisms in HSPA8 and ATP2 A3, respectively. Correlation coefficient(r) between FEC and body weight(BW) was significantly positive(r = 0.56***, P < 0.001) but that between FEC and packed cel volume(PCV) was negatively significant(r =-0.47**, P < 0.01) in the total population of goats. On the other hand, correlation coefficient(r)between BW and PCV was not significant in total population of goats. Association analysis revealed that haplotypes within ATP2 A3, HSPA8, and SERPING1 were significantly associated with FEC. 12A multilevel preconditioner and its shared memory implementation for a new generation reservoir simulator显示文摘As a result of the interplay between advances in computer hardware, software, and algorithm, we are now in a new era of large-scale reservoir simulation, which focuses on accurate flow description, fine reservoir characterization, efficient nonlinear/linear solvers, and parallel implementation. In this paper, we discuss a multilevel preconditioner in a new-generation simulator and its implementation on multicore computers. This preconditioner relies on the method of subspace corrections to solve large-scale linear systems arising from fully implicit methods in reservoir simulations. 13Gut microbiota-derived metabolites contribute negatively to hindgut barrier function development at the early weaning goat model显示文摘Early weaning induces intestinal injury,leading to a series of long-term symptoms such as inflammation,malabsorption and diarrhea.In this study,we hypothesized that microbes and theirmetabolitesmodulate the host's inflammatory response to early weaning stress in a goatmodel.A total of 18 female Tibetan goat kids(n?9)wereweaned fromtheirmothers at 28 d(D28)and 60 d(D60)postpartum.D60 and D28 groupswere fed the same solid diet ad libitum fromweaning to 75 d of age.The colonic epithelium was subject to RNAsequencing,the caecal digesta metabolomics were assessed by liquid chromatographyetandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS),and the caecal microbiota composition was analysed by 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing.We foundthatearlyweaningsubstantially increased the colonic pro-apoptotic gene expressionof B-cell lymphoma associated X(Bax),caspase-9,and caspase-3,and decreased the expression of zonula occludens-1(ZO-1)and claudin-1(P<0.01).In addition,a significant Bacteroides acidifaciens enrichmentwas observed in the hindgut of early-weaned goats(P<0.01),which negatively correlated with lysophosphatidylcholine products.Similarly,the chemokine signaling,IL-17 signaling,and peroxisome proliferatorsactivated receptor(PPAR)signaling pathways were upregulated in the colonic mucosa of the early-weaned goats.By applying caecal microbiota transplantation from goats to defaunated C57/6J mice,we confirmed that caecalmicrobiota of D28 goat kids increased the relative abundance of B.acidifaciens and significantly upregulated the genes of Bax,G proteinecoupled receptor(GPR)109A,GPR 43,fatty acid binding protein 6,nuclear receptor subfamily 1 group H member 3,angiotensin converting enzyme 2,and IL-6 expression(P<0.05),and decreased ZO-1,and claudin-1 protein expression in the mice jejunum and colon(P<0.001).These results proposed that the hindgut microbiota andmetabolites mediate the barrier functionweakening duringearlyweaning,and the relative abundance of B.acidifacienswas negatively correlatedwiththe hindgut barrier gene expression.This studydemonstrateshowweaningstress canaffectkeyhostemicrobe interaction regulators in the hindgut,in a lysophosphatidylcholine dependent and independent manner.Furthermore,based on our mice data,these results are transferable to other mammal species.Ke Zhang Yangbin Xu Yuxin Yang Mengmeng Guo Ting Zhang Bo Zong Shuhong Huang Langda Suo Baohua Ma Xiaolong Wang Yujiang Wu Daniel Brugger Yulin Chen 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,3:2
