2A Virtual Machine Scheduling Strategy with a Speed Switch and a Multi-Sleep Mode in Cloud Data Centers显示文摘With the rapid growth of energy costs and the constant promotion of environmental standards, energy consumption has become a significant expenditure for the operating and maintaining of a cloud data center. Io improve the energy efficiency of cloud data centers, in this paper, we propose a Virtual Machine (VM) scheduling strategy with a speed switch and a multi-sleep mode. In accordance with the current traffic loads, a proportion of VMs operate at a low speed or a high speed, while the remaining VMs either sleep or operate at a high speed. Commensurate with our proposal, we develop a continuous-time queueing model with an adaptive service rate and a partial synchronous vacation. We construct a two dimensional Markov chain based on the total number of requests in the system and the state of all the VMs. Using a matrix geometric solution, we mathematically estimate the energy saving level and the response performance of the system. Numerical experiments with analysis and simulation show that our proposed VM scheduling strategy can effectively reduce the energy consumption without significant degradation in response performance. Additionally;we establish a system utility function to trade off the different performance measures. 7System Model and Equilibrium Strategy of Mobile Users in a Hybrid Access Network显示文摘Mobile users usually access the Internet via a hybrid access network, in which cellular and Wi-Fi networks are available alternatively. In the hybrid access network, a mobile user decides to send or not to send a packet according to the number of packets already in the system and the phase of the server. In order to evaluate the system performance of the hybrid access network, in this paper we first establish a fully observable continuous time Markovian queueing system. Then, we present an exact analysis to investigate the behavior of the mobile users in the network. Through iterations and diagonalization, we obtain the expected sojourn time of a newly arriving packet in a closed form. Moreover, with the monotonicity for the expected sojourn time of a newly arriving packet, we prove the existence of the Nash equilibrium strategy. 10Effect of Xiaochuanping powder on the inflammatory response and airway remodeling in asthmatic rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of Xiaochuanping powder(XP), a traditional Chinese prescription for the treatment of cough and asthma, on serum concentrations of eosinophil cationic protein(ECP), tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α, and interleukin(IL)-4, eosinophil counts, as well as expression of matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-9, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase(TIMP)-1 in the lung tissues of asthmatic rats.METHODS: Sixty clean-grade Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into six groups: normal control(NC), asthma model, Guilong Kechuanning(GK)group, as well as high-, intermediate-, and lowdose XP groups. Rats were sensitized with ovalbumin(OVA) to trigger asthma. Serum concentrations of ECP, TNF-α and IL-4, eosinophil counts, as well as expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in lung tissues were evaluated using an immunofluorescence method. m RNA expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 was determined using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS: Compared with the asthma-model group, serum concentrations of ECP, TNF-α, and IL-4, and eosinophil counts decreased significantly in the high-and intermediate-dose XP groups and GK group(all P < 0.01). Protein expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 decreased significantly in the high-and intermediate-dose XP groups and GK group(all P < 0.01). Transcription of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 m RNA and the ratio of expression of MMP-9: TIMP-1 in lung tissue were significantly lower(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: XP can reduce TNF-α secretion, suppress the infiltration/activation of eosinophils, reduce serum concentrations of ECP and IL-4, reduce the protein and m RNA expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in lung tissue, and regulate the balance between expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1. 19Distributed Robust Optimal Dispatch for the Microgrid Considering Output Correlation between Wind and Photovoltaic显示文摘As an effective carrier of integrated clean energy,the microgrid has attracted wide attention.The randomness of renewable energies such as wind and solar power output brings a significant cost and impact on the economics and reliability of microgrids.This paper proposes an optimization scheme based on the distributionally robust optimization(DRO)model for a microgrid considering solar-wind correlation.Firstly,scenarios of wind and solar power output scenarios are generated based on non-parametric kernel density estimation and the Frank-Copula function;then the generated scenario results are reduced by K-means clustering;finally,the probability confidence interval of scenario distribution is constrained by 1-norm and∞-norm.The model is solved by a column-and-constraint generation algorithm.Experimental studies are conducted on a microgrid system in Jiangsu,China and the obtained scheduling solution turned out to be superior under wind and solar power uncertainties,which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed DRO model.Ming Li Cairen Furifu Chengyang Ge Yunping Zheng Shunfu Lin Ronghui Liu 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,8:0
20Inter-Provincial Transaction Model in Two-Level ElectricityMarket Considering Carbon Emission and Consumption Responsibility Weights显示文摘In the context of the joint operation of China’s intra-provincial markets and inter-provincial trading,how to meet the load demand and energy consumption using inter-provincial renewable energy trading is a key problem.The combined operation of intra-provincial and inter-provincial markets provides a new way for provincial power companies to optimize and clear the intra-provincial power market,complete the intra-provincial consumption responsibility weight index,and consume renewable energy across provinces and regions.This paper combines power generation and consumption within the province,uses inter-provincial renewable energy trading tomeet the load demand within the province and completes the index of intra-provincial consumption responsibility weights.The intra-provincial market trading and inter-provincial market clearing are respectively taken as the upper and lower levels of the model.Under the two-level electricity market operation framework,the upper-level model aims to minimize the expected total operating cost within the province considering the carbon emission cost and the weight of the consumption responsibility,while the lower-level model aims to minimize the inter-provincial renewable energy purchasing cost.Finally,the influence of inter-provincial transaction mechanism,risk aversion coefficient,voucher price,and responsibility weight on operating cost is analyzed.Simulation is used to verify that the proposed model can meet the requirements of the provincial load power consumption and the consumption responsibility weight index,and promote the consumption of renewable energy.Chunlei Jiao HongyanHao Ming Li Rifucairen Fu Yichun Liu Shunfu Lin Ronghui Liu 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,10:0
