AN ANT COLONY ALGORITHM FOR MINIMUM UNSATISFIABLE CORE EXTRACTION显示文摘Explaining the causes of infeasibility of Boolean formulas has many practical applications in electronic design automation and formal verification of hardware.Furthermore,a minimum explanation of infeasibility that excludes all irrelevant information is generally of interest.A smallest-cardinality unsatisfiable subset called a minimum unsatisfiable core can provide a succinct explanation of infea-sibility and is valuable for applications. However, little attention has been concentrated on extraction of minimum unsatisfiable core.In this paper, the relationship between maximal satisfiability and mini-mum unsatisfiability is presented and proved, then an efficient ant colony algorithm is proposed to derive an exact or nearly exact minimum unsatisfiable core based on the relationship.Finally,ex-perimental results on practical benchmarks compared with the best known approach are reported, and the results show that the ant colony algorithm strongly outperforms the best previous algorithm. | Zhang Jianmin Shen Shengyu Li Sikun | 2008 | Journal of Electronics(China)2008,25,5: | 1

Feature-based adaptive texture visualization for vector field显示文摘An adaptive sparse texture rendering method is proposed to solve for occlusion effects when visualizing 3D flows, building on an extensible fuzzy feature extraction approach. First, the flow feature is described by fuzzy theory and rules for some typical features are obtained. The significance value for each voxel is then calculated by a clustering method under the minimum square-sum rule. An adaptive Gaussian noise field is obtained from the significance field by a noise generation process, and is used as the input for the LIC convolution process. We also present two cool/warm-illumination-based approaches to overcome the shortcomings of texture-based visualization methods, which are usually unable to represent the flow direction. The experiments show that our method can effectively extract the typical flow feature region and can be extended to other flow features easily, and the adaptive technique used lessens the occlusion effects significantly. Furthermore, the main disadvantage of the texture-based method, that is, the direction representation problem, can also be solved by the proposed cool/warm illumination methods. | XU HuaXun LI SiKun ZENG Liang CAI Xun | 2013 | Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,9: | 1

A novel method for sculptured surface subdivision显示文摘In this work,a novel method for sculptured surface subdivision to improve the machinery's ability and efficiency in 5-axis CNC machining complex surface is introduced. The method subdivides automatically a monolithic convex or concave or simultaneously complex sculptured surface into a number of surface patches and achieves the goal of similar normal directions and small difference between the curvatures in every patch by using weight fuzzy cluster algorithm which takes the curvatures and normal vectors of the sculptured surface into account simultaneously. The inclination angle variation between every two Cutter Contact Points (CC Points) is decreased in every patch to avoid large-angle rotation of tool to save machining time when a flat-end mill is used. This work contributes to automating 5-axis CNC tool path generation for sculptured part machining and forming a foundation for further research. | You Sikun Liu Xiaochu Deng Hongguang Liu Jun | 2012 | Computer Aided Drafting,Design and Manufacturing2012,22,1: | 0
Pyrene-tethered bismoviologens for visible light-induced C(sp^(3))-P and C(sp^(2))-P bonds formation显示文摘Developing efficient photosensitizers for C-P bond construction is highly important and remains a challenge due to the urgently needed for the synthesis of modified nucleosides, nucleotides, and other phosphine-containing ligands.Herein, two pyrene-tethered bismoviologen derivatives(Py-BiV^(2+))were designed and synthesized for visible-light-induced C-P bonds formation. The photochemical and electrochemical properties of Py-BiV^(2+)were studied systemically, certifying fine-tunable opto-electronic properties through the number of pyrene groups(4,n=1;6,n=2).The prepared Py-BiV^(2+)showed strong light absorption, while retaining good redox features and chromic response features that were inherent to viologens.4 exhibited accelerated photoinduced electron transfer in the presence of the electron donor(pyrene)and the generated 4(radical cation)showed higher stability.Accordingly,Py-BiV^(2+)directly served as photosensitizers for the first time in the visible-light-induced C(sp^(3))-P and C(sp^(2))-P bonds formation. As expected, these novel viologen derivatives exhibited good catalytic performance and good substrate expansibility under ambient conditions. | Wenqiang Ma Sikun Zhang Liang Xu Bingjie Zhang Guoping Li Bin Rao Mingming Zhang Gang He | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,6: | 0
Application Specified Soft-Error Failure Rate Analysis Using Sequential Equivalence Checking Techniques显示文摘Soft errors have become a critical challenge as a result of technology scaling. Existing circuit-hardening techniques are commonly associated with prohibitive overhead of performance, area, and power. However, evaluating the influence of soft errors in Flip-Flops(FFs) on the failure of circuit is a difficult verification problem. Here, we proposed a novel flip-flop soft-error failure rate analysis methodology using a formal method with respect to application behaviors. Approach and optimization techniques to implement the proposed methodology based on the given formula using Sequential Equivalence Checking(SEC) are introduced. The proposed method combines the advantage of formal technique-based approaches in completeness and the advantage of application behaviors in accuracy to differentiate vulnerability of components. As a result, the FFs in a circuit are sorted by their failure rates, and designers can use this information to perform optimal hardening of selected sequential components against soft errors. Experimental results of an implementation of a SpaceWire end node and the largest ISCAS’89 benchmark sequential circuits indicate the feasibility and potential scalability of our approach. A case study on an instruction decoder of a practical 32-bit microprocessor demonstrates the applicability of our method. | Tun Li Qinhan Yu Hai Wan Sikun Li | 2020 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2020,25,1: | 0
Enhanced replication of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.2 in human forebrain and midbrain organoids显示文摘Dear Editor,Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)is associated with a variety of neurological complications, including encephalopathy, encephalitis, dementia, and others.1 The pathogenic mechanism of these neurological manifestations remains incompletely understood but may be due to factors such as coagulation problem,immune-mediated response,or direct viral invasion into the central nervous system(CNS).2 We and others previously reported that ancestral SARS-CoV-2 could infect and replicate in human brain organoids.3,4 More recently,SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.1 emerged in late 2021 and demonstrated altered virological features including increased immunoevasion and attenuated pathogenicity comparing to SARS-CoV-2 wildtype(WT)and previous variants.5 However, the neuroinvasiveness of Omicron sublineages remain unexplored. Here,we investigated the neuroinvasion and neurotoxicity of Omicron BA.1 and BA.2,and compared the findings with those of SARS-CoV-2 WT and Delta in human forebrain and midbrain organoids. Our results demonstrated that BA.2 replicated more efficiently while triggered lower levels of type I interferon response than that of SARS-CoV-2 WT,Delta, and BA.1 in both human forebrain and midbrain organoids. In addition,BA.2 triggered substantially higher levels of apoptosis in the infected human forebrain and midbrain organoids.Together, these findings suggest that BA.2 may be different from SARS-CoV-2 WT and previous variants in its capacity in targeting and causing diseases in the human brain. | Yuxin Hou Chang Li Chaemin Yoon On Wah Leung Sikun You Xiaoming Cui Jasper Fuk-Woo Chan Duanqing Pei Hoi Hung Cheung Hin Chu | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,12: | 0
