| 9 | Robust Vehicle Detection Based on Improved You Look Only Once显示文摘Vehicle detection is still challenging for intelligent transportation systems(ITS)to achieve satisfactory performance.The existing methods based on one stage and two-stage have intrinsic weakness in obtaining high vehicle detection performance.Due to advancements in detection technology,deep learning-based methods for vehicle detection have become more popular because of their higher detection accuracy and speed than the existing algorithms.This paper presents a robust vehicle detection technique based on Improved You Look Only Once(RVD-YOLOv5)to enhance vehicle detection accuracy.The proposed method works in three phases;in the first phase,the K-means algorithm performs data clustering on datasets to generate the classes of the objects.Subsequently,in the second phase,the YOLOv5 is applied to create the bounding box,and the Non-Maximum Suppression(NMS)technique is used to eliminate the overlapping of the bounding boxes of the vehicle.Then,the loss function CIoU is employed to obtain the accurate regression bounding box of the vehicle in the third phase.The simulation results show that the proposed method achieves better results when compared with other state-of-art techniques,namely LightweightDilated Convolutional Neural Network(LD-CNN),Single Shot Detector(SSD),YOLOv3 and YOLOv4 on the performance metric like precision,recall,mAP and F1-Score.The simulation and analysis are carried out on PASCAL VOC 2007,2012 and MS COCO 2017 datasets to obtain better performance for vehicle detection.Finally,the RVD-YOLOv5 obtains the results with an mAP of 98.6%and Precision,Recall,and F1-Score are 98%,96.2%and 97.09%,respectively. | Sunil Kumar Manisha Jailia Sudeep Varshney Nitish Pathak Shabana Urooj Nouf Abd Elmunim | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,2: | 0 |
| 10 | Histological difference in ligament flavum between degenerative lumbar canal stenosis and non-stenotic group:A prospective,comparative study显示文摘BACKGROUND Ligament flavum(LF)hypertropy is the main etiopathogenesis of lumbar canal stenosis(LCS).The purely elastic LF undergoes a morphological adaptation including a reduction in the elastic fibers and a consequent increase in the collagen content,fibrosis,cicatrization,and calcification.However,the morphometric analysis can delineate the LF in patients with LCS from those without LCS,which would help in better understanding LCS pathogenesis.AIM To compare the histopathological changes in LF between the degenerative LCS and non-stenotic(non-LCS)group.METHODS The present prospective study was conducted in 82 patients who were divided into two groups,namely LCS and non-LCS.Demographic details of the patients such as duration of symptoms,level of involvement,and number of segments were recorded.The LF obtained from both groups was histopathologically examined for the fibrosis score,elastic fiber degeneration,calcification,and chondroid metaplasia.Morphometrical details included a change in elastin and collagen percentages,elastin/collagen ratio,elastic fiber fragmentation,and ligamentocyte numbers.All parameters were compared between the two groups by using the independent t test,Chi-square test,and Pearson’s correlation test.RESULTS Out of 82 cases,74 were analysed,34 in LCS and 40 in non-LCS group.The mean±SD age of presentation in LCS and non-LCS group was 49.2±8.9 and 43.1±14.3 respectively.The LCS group(n=34)exhibited significant differences in fibrosis(P=0.002),elastic fiber degeneration(P=0.01),%elastic fragmentation(66.5±16.3 vs 29.5±16.9),%elastic,content(26.9±6.7 vs 34.7±8.4),%collagen content(63.6±10.4 vs 54.9±6.4),reduction of elastic/collagen(0.4±0.1 vs 0.6±0.1),and ligamentocyte number(39.1±19.1 vs 53.5±26.9)as compared to non-LCS group(n=40).The calcification(P=0.08)and Pearson’s correlation between duration and loss of elastin was not significant.The difference in LF morphology is consistent in patient’s≥40 years of age among the groups as found in subgroup analysis.Similarly in the patents<40 and>40 in the non-LCS group.CONCLUSION LF is vital in the pathogenesis of LCS.The purely elastic LF undergoes a morphological adaptation that includes a reduction in the elastic fibers with a consequent increase in the collagen content,fibrosis,cicatrization,and calcification.The present study provides a detailed morphometric analysis to semiquantitatively delineate the LF changes in patients with LCS from those in patients without LCS. | Mantu Jain Mukund Sable Amit Purushottam Tirpude Rabi Narayan Sahu Sudeep Kumar Samanta Gurudip Das | 2022 | World Journal of Orthopedics2022,13,9: | 0 |
| 11 | GRADE: Deep learning and garlic routing-based secure data sharing framework for IIoT beyond 5G显示文摘The rise of automation with Machine-Type Communication(MTC)holds great potential in developing Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)-based applications such as smart cities,Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS),supply chains,and smart industries without any human intervention.However,MTC has to cope with significant security challenges due to heterogeneous data,public network connectivity,and inadequate security mechanism.To overcome the aforementioned issues,we have proposed a blockchain and garlic-routing-based secure data exchange framework,i.e.,GRADE,which alleviates the security constraints and maintains the stable connection in MTC.First,the Long-Short-Term Memory(LSTM)-based Nadam optimizer efficiently predicts the class label,i.e.,malicious and non-malicious,and forwards the non-malicious data requests of MTC to the Garlic Routing(GR)network.The GR network assigns a unique ElGamal encrypted session tag to each machine partaking in MTC.Then,an Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)is applied to encrypt the MTC data requests.Further,the InterPlanetary File System(IPFS)-based blockchain is employed to store the machine's session tags,which increases the scalability of the proposed GRADE framework.Additionally,the proposed framework has utilized the indispensable benefits of the 6G network to enhance the network performance of MTC.Lastly,the proposed GRADE framework is evaluated against different performance metrics such as scalability,packet loss,accuracy,and compromised rate of the MTC data request.The results show that the GRADE framework outperforms the baseline methods in terms of accuracy,i.e.,98.9%,compromised rate,i.e.,18.5%,scalability,i.e.,47.2%,and packet loss ratio,i.e.,24.3%. | Nilesh Kumar Jadav Riya Kakkar Harsh Mankodiya Rajesh Gupta Sudeep Tanwar Smita Agrawal Ravi Sharma | 2023 | Digital Communications and Networks2023,9,2: | 0 |

| 13 | Selective Cluster-Based Temperature Monitoring System for Homogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks显示文摘Over the past few decades, there has been a revolution in ICT, and this has led to the evolution of wireless sensor networks(WSN), in particular, wireless body area networks. Such networks comprise a specialized collection of sensor nodes(SNs) that may be deployed randomly in a body area network to collect data from the human body. In a health monitoring system, it may be essential to maintain constant environmental conditions within a specific area in the hospital. In this paper, we propose a temperature-monitoring system and describe a case study of a health-monitoring system for patents critically ill with the same disease and in the same environment. We propose Enhanced LEACH Selective Cluster(E-LEACH-SC) routing protocol for monitoring the temperature of an area in a hospital. We modified existing Selective Cluster LEACH protocol by using a fixed-distance-based threshold to divide the coverage region in two subregions. Direct data transmission and selective cluster-based data transmission approaches were used to provide short-range and long-distance coverage for the collection of data from the body of ill patients. Extensive simulations were run by varying the ratio of node densities of the two subregions in the health-monitoring system. Last Node Alive(LNA), which is a measure of network lifespan, was the parameter for evaluating the performance of the proposed scheme.
