| 6 | Effect of Active Zeolite in the Pyrolysis of Polypropylene and Low Density Polyethylene Types of Plastic Waste显示文摘Plastic is a basic need for humans,but it has also caused big problems for the environment.Then,the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type of plastic and the addition of a zeolite catalyst on the oil yield from the pyrolysis of plastic waste.The research stages were natural zeolite activation,pyrolysis reactor settings,pyrolysis of plastic waste(PP and LDPE types),and characterization.The results showed that the used natural zeolite had a mordenite phase and activated natural zeolite had a higher Si/Al ratio than the inactivated one.The addition of a zeolite catalyst had an effect on the produced yield.The yields of oil from plastic waste pyrolysis with zeolite catalyst for PP and LDPE plastics were about 75.9 and 76.9 w/w,respectively.The results of the GCMS analysis showed that the compounds of the pyrolysis oil were thought to be from the alkanes,cycloalkanes,alkenes,carboxylic acids with aromatic rings,and ketones.The results of the GC-MS test showed that the uncatalyzed pyrolysis product consists of compounds with a range of C5-C11 carbon chains.Meanwhile,the ranges of pyrolysis products with active zeolite catalyst were C6-C24 carbon chains. | Aman Santoso Amirotus Sholikhah Sumari Sumari Muhammad Roy Asrori Anugrah Ricky Wijaya Rini Retnosari Ihsan Budi Rachman | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,11: | 0 |
| 7 | Optimizing Household Wastes (Rice, Vegetables, and Fruit) as an Environmentally Friendly Electricity Generator显示文摘The high consumption of electricity and issues related to fossil energy have triggered an increase in energy prices and the scarcity of fossil resources.Consequently,many researchers are seeking alternative energy sources.One potential technology,the Microbial Fuel Cell(MFC)based on rice,vegetable,and fruit wastes,can convert chemical energy into electrical energy.This study aims to determine the potency of rice,vegetable,and fruit waste assisted by Cu/Mg electrodes as a generator of electricity.The method used was a laboratory experiment,including the following steps:electrode preparation,waste sample preparation,incubation of the waste samples,construction of a reactor using rice,vegetable,and fruit waste as a source of electricity,and testing.The tests included measuring electrical conductivity,electric current,voltage,current density,and power density.Based on the test results,the maximum current and voltage values for the fruit waste samples were 5.53 V and 11.5 mA,respectively,with a current density of 2.300 mA/cm^(2) and a power density of 12.719 mW/cm^(2).The results indicate the potential for a future development.The next step in development involves determining the optimum conditions for utilizing of rice,vegetable,and fruit waste.The results of the electrical conductivity test on rice,vegetable,and fruit waste samples were 1.51,2.88,and 3.98 mS,respectively,with the highest electrical conductivity value found in the fruit waste sample. | Deni Ainur Rokhim Isma Yanti Vitarisma Sumari Sumari Yudhi Utomo Muhammad Roy Asrori | 2024 | Journal of Renewable Materials2024,12,2: | 0 |

| 9 | Urban growth dynamics and expansion forms in 11 Tanzanian cities from 1990 to 2020显示文摘With rapid urban expansion across Tanzania,there is a need to institute steps to address factors and forms as well as impacts and challenges associated with the observed trend.This study’s aim is to use spatial urban landscape indices to analyze the spatial changes in urban forms,patterns,and rates across 11 urban centers in Tanzania over a 30-year study period(1990–2020).During the past three decades,urban lands of 11 cities and town in Tanzania have grown by a total of 480 km2.Leapfrog growth was found as the most dominant form of urban expansion in Tanzania while Dodoma,the capital city of Tanzania,had the highest rate of urban expansion when compared to all other individual cities.The most robust and significant interaction of the AWMLEI and MLEI was found in Kigoma,Arusha,Mtwara,Mafinga,and Tunduma cities.In contrast,Mbeya agricultural city,Arusha the tourist city,Tabora,and Geita Lake zone areas did show their own peculiarities revealing an interesting spatial temporal variation in rate and form of expansion.The outcome of this study reveals that the influence and management of economic and socio-cultural opportunities will be an effective tool for the determination of the rapidly expanding cities and towns of Tanzania. | Neema Simon Sumari Fanan Ujoh Calvin Samwel Swai Muchen Zheng | 2023 | International Journal of Digital Earth2023,16,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Sono-Transesterification of Kapok Seed Oil with CaO:BaO-(x:y)/Active Natural Zeolite Catalyst显示文摘Kapok seed oil is an environmentally friendly biodiesel feedstock.The problem of the best catalyst for transester-ification of Kapok seed oil still continues today.The research developed a base-heterogeneous catalyst with the effect of ultrasonic waves during transesterification.So,the study aims:(1)to determine the type of natural zeolite used,(2)to determine the characteristics of the synthesized CaO:BaO/ANZ catalyst,and(3)to determine the effectiveness of the CaO:BaO/ANZ catalyst in the biodiesel production process through sono-transeste rification of kapok seed oil.The research stages consisted of:(1)activation of natural zeolite and its characterization,(2)preparation of CaO:BaO/ANZ catalyst,(3)characterization of CaO:BaO/ANZ catalyst,(4)esterification and uti-lization of catalyst in the transesterification,(5)analysis of transesterified products.The results showed that the natural zeolite type from the southerm area of Malang is mordenite(MOR)type.Then,after the natural zeolite was impregnated,the obtained catalyst compositions were CaO:BaO-9:9/ANZ,CaO:BaO-14:9/ANZ,and CaO:BaO-4:11/ANZ with a surface area of 129.7;124.6;128.5 m^(2)/g,and acidity of 1.037;0.254;and 0.685 mmol/g,respectively.The best catalyst for transesterification of kapok seed oil was CaO:BaO-9:9/ANZ,which resulted in a biodiesel yield of 73.6%with a density of 889.6 kg/m^(3) and kinematic viscosity of 2.987 cSt.The characteristics of the produced biodiesel meet requirement of SNI 7182:2015. | Sumari Sumari Mega Murti Aman Santoso Muhammad Roy Asrori | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,12: | 0 |
