4Yanangdaengin,a dihydrochalcone glucoside galloyl ester as active antioxidative agent from leaves of Lysiphyllum strychnifolium(syn.Bauhinia strychnifolia)显示文摘Objective:To isolate and identify the major bioactive components from the leaves of Lysiphyllum strychnifolium,an indigenous herb used in traditional Thai medicine for detoxification,longevity,and some other health related issues.Methods:Comparative HPLC analyses of the crude extracts from three provenances were carried out for an overview of characteristic compound profiles.Isolation of the major compounds was undertaken with chromatographic methods.Chemical structures were elucidated by NMR spectroscopic techniques and mass spectrometry.DPPH scavenging assay was carried out to determine the free radical scavenging activity of isolated compounds.Results:Yanangdaengin(3),a dihydrochalcone glucoside galloyl ester,has been isolated together with its corresponding dihydrochalcone glucoside trilobatin(2)as major compounds from the leaves of L.strychnifolium.Additionally,gallic acid(1)was co-chromatographically identified.Free radical scavenging activity of isolated compounds were determined.Compound 3 exhibited higher free radical scavenging activities in comparison to Trolox and quercetin.Conclusion:The isolated compounds could be used as chemical markers for quality assessment.The present work could promote the quality control and herbal medicinal product development of this plant.Sumet Kongkiatpaiboon Nongnaphat Duangdee Ngampuk Tayana Johann Schinnerl Markus Bacher Savita Chewchinda 2020Chinese Herbal Medicines2020,12,4:0
5Incidence and predisposing factors of anterior chamber gas bubbles during femtosecond laser flap creation显示文摘AIM:To investigate the incidence and the predisposing factors of anterior chamber(AC)gas bubbles during femtosecond laser(FS)flap creation for laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK).METHODS:All patients who underwent FS-LASIK surgery at CMU LASIK Center between January 2013 and May 2016 were retrospective reviewed.Preoperative and intraoperative data including keratometry,white-towhite(WTW)corneal diameter,flap parameters(diameter,thickness,hinge position,and tunnel length)and pulse energy were reviewed and compared between incident group and control group.To determine the risk factors,univariate and multivariate conditional logistic regression were used;the eye was unit of analysis.RESULTS:The incidence of AC gas bubbles was 1.6%(22 out of 1378 eyes).The median WTW in the AC bubbles group was 11.5 mm(range 11.1-12.1),which was significantly different from the control group(11.7 mm,range 10.5-12.8,P=0.021).The result of the median WTW minus the flap diameter in the AC bubbles group was 2.5 mm(range 2.1-3.2),which was statistically different to the control group(2.7 mm,range 1.5-3.8,P=0.008).The logistic regression analysis showed that the result of the WTW minus the flap diameter in the AC bubbles group had an adjusted odds ratio of 0.204(95%CI;0.056-0.747,P=0.016).CONCLUSION:Development of AC gas bubbles during FS flap creation is not an uncommon event in Asian eyes which typically have a small WTW.The flap diameter when adjusted relatively to the WTW is a predisposing factor to the possibility of AC gas bubbles occurrence.Muanploy Niparugs Sumet Supalaset Chulaluck Tangmonkongvoragul Napaporn Tananuvat Winai Chaidaroon Somsanguan Ausayakhun 2020International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2020,13,8:0
6A validated HPTLC method for quantitative analysis of morin in Maclura cochinchinensis heartwood显示文摘Objective:The study was conducted to develop and validate a high performance thin-layer chromatography(HPTLC)-densitometric method for the quantitative analysis of morin in Maclura cochinchinensis heartwood collected from different locations in Thailand.Methods:HPTLC analysis was performed on an aluminium sheet of silica gel 60 F254 using toluene:ethyl acetate:formic acid(36:12:7,volume percent)as a mobile phase.The densitometric scanning was performed at the wavelength 410 nm.HPTLC method was validated according to ICH guideline.Results:The proposed HPTLC method showed acceptable validation parameters.The content of morin in M.cochinchinensis heartwood collected from eight different provinces in Thailand were in the ranges of1.53%-2.73%.Conclusion:The simple and sensitive HPTLC method was successfully developed and validated for determination of morin in M.cochinchinensis heartwood.The proposed HPTLC method was found to be simple,fast and inexpensive,and can be used for the routine quality control of raw materials.Savita Chewchinda Sumet Kongkiatpaiboon 2020Chinese Herbal Medicines2020,12,2:0
