1Change in Carbon Dioxide (CO_2) Emissions From Energy Use in China's Iron and Steel Industry显示文摘As the largest energy consuming manufacturing sector and one of the most important sources of carbon dioxide(CO2)emissions,the China's iron and steel industry has paid attention to the study of changing trend and influencing factors of CO2 emissions from energy use.The logarithmic mean Divisia index(LMDI)technique is used to decompose total change in CO2 emissions into four factors:emission factor effect,energy structure effect,energy consumption effect,and steel production effect.The results show that the steel production effect is the major factor which is responsible for the rise in CO2 emissions;whereas the energy consumption effect contributes most to the reduction in CO2 emissions.And the emission factor effect makes a weak negative contribution to the increase of CO2 emissions.To find out the detailed relationship between change in energy consumption or steel production and change in CO2 emissions,the correlation equations are also proposed.SUN Wen-qiang CAI Jiu-ju MAO Hu-jun GUAN Duo jiao 2011Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2011,18,6:17

3Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. 4Single-cell transcriptomic atlas of primate cardiopulmonary aging显示文摘Aging is a major risk factor for many diseases,especially in highly prevalent cardiopulmonary comorbidities and infectious diseases including Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19).Resolving cellular and molecular mechanisms associated with aging in higher mammals is therefore urgently needed.Here,we created young and old non-human primate single-nucleus/cell transcriptomic atlases of lung,heart and artery,the top tissues targeted by SARS-CoV-2.Analysis of cell type-specific aging-associated transcriptional changes revealed increased systemic inflammation and compromised virus defense as a hallmark of cardiopulmonary aging.With age,expression of the SARS-CoV-2 receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)was increased in the pulmonary alveolar epithelial barrier,cardiomyocytes,and vascular endothelial cells.We found that interleukin 7(IL7)accumulated in aged cardiopulmonary tissues and induced ACE2 expression in human vascular endothelial cells in an NF-κB-dependent manner.Furthermore,treatment with vitamin C blocked IL7-induced ACE2 expression.Altogether,our findings depict the first transcriptomic atlas of the aged primate cardiopulmonary system and provide vital insights into age-linked susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2,suggesting that geroprotective strategies may reduce COVID-19 severity in the elderly.Shuai Ma Shuhui Sun Jiaming Li Yanling Fan Jing Qu Liang Sun Si Wang Yiyuan Zhang Shanshan Yang Zunpeng Liu Zeming Wu Sheng Zhang Qiaoran Wang Aihua Zheng Shuguang Duo Yang Yu Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte Piu Chan Qi Zhou Moshi Song Weiqi Zhang Guang-Hui Liu 2021Cell Research2021,31,4:10
5Diagnostic value of 5 serum biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma with different epidemiological backgrounds:A large-scale,retrospective study显示文摘Objective:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a lethal global disease that requires an accurate diagnosis.We assessed the potential of 5 serum biomarkers(AFP,AFU,GGT-II,GPC3,and HGF)in the diagnosis of HCC.Methods:In this retrospective study,we measured the serum levels of each biomarker using ELISAs in 921 participants,including 298 patients with HCC,154 patients with chronic hepatitis(CH),122 patients with liver cirrhosis(LC),and 347 healthy controls from 3 hospitals.Patients negative for hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C antibody(called'NBNC-HCC')and patients positive for the above indices(called'HBV-HCC and HCV-HCC')were enrolled.The selected diagnostic model was constructed using a training cohort(n=468),and a validation cohort(n=453)was used to validate our results.Receiver operating characteristic analysis was used to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy.Results:Theα-L-fucosidase(AFU)/α-fetoprotein(AFP)combination was best able to distinguish NBNC-HCC[area under the curve:0.986(95%confidence interval:0.958–0.997),sensitivity:92.6%,specificity:98.9%]from healthy controls in the test cohort.For screening populations at risk of developing HCC(CH and LC),the AFP/AFU combination improved the diagnostic specificity for early-stage HCC[area under the curve:0.776(0.712–0.831),sensitivity:52.5%,specificity:91.6%in the test group].In all-stage HBV-HCC and HCV-HCC,AFU was also the best candidate biomarker combined with AFP[area under the curve:0.835(0.784–0.877),sensitivity 69.1%,specificity:87.4%in the test group].All results were verified in the validation group.Conclusions:The AFP/AFU combination could be used to identify NBNC-HCC from healthy controls and hepatitis-related HCC from at-risk patients.Dongming Liu Yi Luo Lu Chen Liwei Chen Duo Zuo Yueguo Li Xiaofang Zhang Jing Wu Qing Xi Guangtao Li Lisha Qi Xiaofen Yue Xiehua Zhang Zhuoyu Sun Ning Zhang Tianqiang Song Wei Lu Hua Guo 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:10

7Preparation, Properties and Mechanism of Inhomogeneous Calcium Alginate Ion Cross-linking Gel Microspheres显示文摘Inhomogeneous calcium alginate ion cross\|linking gel microspheres, a novel ion absorbent, were prepared by dropping a sodium alginate solution to a calcium chloride solution via an electronic droplet generator. Calcium alginate microspheres have uniform particle sizes, a smooth surface and a microporous structure. The electrode probe reveals the inhomogeneous distribution of calcium ions with the highest concentration on the surface, and the lowest concentration in the cores of the spheres. As a novel ion adsorbent, calcium alginate gel microspheres have a lower limiting adsorption mass concentration, a higher enrichment capacity and a higher adsorption capacity for Pb 2+ than usual ion exchange resins. The highest percentage of the adsorption is 99 79%. The limiting adsorption mass concentration is 0 0426 mg/L. The adsorption capacity for Pb 2+ is 644 mg/g. Calcium alginate gel microspheres have a much faster ion exchange velocity than D418 chelating resin and D113 polyacrylate resin. The moving boundary model was employed to interpret the ion exchange kinetics process, which indicates that the ion exchange process is controlled by intraparticle diffusion of adsorbable ions. So the formation of inhomogeneous gel microspheres reduces the diffusion distance of adsorbable ions within the spheres and enhances the ion exchange velocity. Alginate has a higher selectivity for Pb 2+ than for Ca 2+ and the selectivity coefficient K Pb Ca is 316. As an ion cross\|linking gel, calcium alginate inhomogeneous microspheres can effectively adsorb heavy metal Pb 2+ at a higher selectivity and a higher adsorption velocity. 8Exendin-4 and linagliptin attenuate neuroinflammation in a mouse model of Parkinson's disease显示文摘Use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist or dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor has been shown to lower the incidence of Parkinson's disease in patients with diabetes mellitus.Therefore,using these two treatments may help treat Parkinson's disease.To further investigate the mechanisms of action of these two compounds,we established a model of Parkinson's disease by treating mice with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine and then subcutaneously injected them with the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist exendin-4 or the dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor linagliptin.We found that both exendin-4 and linagliptin reversed motor dysfunction,glial activation,and dopaminergic neuronal death in this model.In addition,both exendin-4 and linagliptin induced microglial polarization to the anti-inflammatory M2 phenotype and reduced pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion.Moreover,in vitro experiments showed that treatment with exendin-4 and linagliptin inhibited activation of the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-and leucine-rich-repeat-and pyrin-domaincontaining 3/caspase-1/interleukin-1βpathway and subsequent pyroptosis by decreasing the production of reactive oxygen species.These findings suggest that exendin-4 and linagliptin exert neuroprotective effects by attenuating neuroinflammation through regulation of microglial polarization and the nucleotidebinding oligomerization domain-and leucine-rich-repeat-and pyrin-domain-containing 3/caspase-1/interleukin-1βpathway in a mouse model of Parkinson's disease induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine.Therefore,these two drugs may serve as novel anti-inflammatory treatments for Parkinson's disease.Hai-Yang Yu Tong Sun Zhen Wang Hong Li Duo Xu Jing An Lu-Lu Wen Jia-Yi Li Wen Li Juan Feng 2023Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,8:4
9Precision integration of grating-based polarizers onto focal plane arrays of near-infrared photovoltaic detectors for enhanced contrast polarimetric imaging显示文摘Polarimetric imaging enhances the ability to distinguish objects from a bright background by detecting their particular polarization status,which offers another degree of freedom in infrared remote sensing.However,to scale up by monolithically integrating grating-based polarizers onto a focal plane array(FPA)of infrared detectors,fundamental technical obstacles must be overcome,including reductions of the extinction ratio by the misalignment between the polarizer and the detector,grating line width fluctuations,the line edge roughness,etc.This paper reports the authors’latest achievements in overcoming those problems by solving key technical issues regarding the integration of large-scale polarizers onto the chips of FPAs with individual indium gallium arsenide/indium phosphide(In Ga As/In P)sensors as the basic building blocks.Polarimetric and photovoltaic chips with divisions of the focal plane of 540×4 pixels and 320×256 superpixels have been successfully manufactured.Polarimetric imaging with enhanced contrast has been demonstrated.The progress made in this work has opened up a broad avenue toward industrialization of high quality polarimetric imaging in infrared wavelengths.Bo Feng Yifang Chen Duo Sun Zongyao Yang Bo Yang Xue Li Tao Li 2021International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2021,3,3:4
10Therapeutic effects of dental pulp stem cells on vascular dementia in rat models显示文摘Dental pulp stem cells are a type of adult stem cells with strong proliferative ability and multi-differentiation potential. There are no studies on treatment of vascular dementia with dental pulp stem cells. In the present study, rat models of vascular dementia were established by two-vessel occlusion, and 30 days later, rats were injected with 2 × 10^(7) dental pulp stem cells via the tail vein. At 70 days after vascular dementia induction, dental pulp stem cells had migrated to the brain tissue of rat vascular dementia models and differentiated into neuronlike cells. At the same time, doublecortin, neurofilament 200, and Neu N m RNA and protein expression levels in the brain tissue were increased, and glial fibrillary acidic protein m RNA and protein expression levels were decreased. Behavioral testing also revealed that dental pulp stem cell transplantation improved the cognitive function of rat vascular dementia models. These findings suggest that dental pulp stem cell transplantation is effective in treating vascular dementia possibly through a paracrine mechanism. 12Ultrasensitive and stable all graphene field-effect transistor-based Hg^(2+)sensor constructed by using different covalently bonded RGO films assembled by different conjugate linking molecules显示文摘As'molecular bridge,'coupling agents can not only realize the covalent connection of composites,but also affect their properties,thus affecting the properties of devices based on them.Herein,leveraging differences in charge conduction properties of the(3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)-21H,23H-porphine caused by conjugacy structural differences,two kinds of layerby-layer assembled smart carbon materials with different electrical properties are obtained at the same reduction temperature.The two graphene ultrathin films are then“planted”on Si/SiO2 substrates,respectively,as semiconductor layer and source/drain electrodes to fabricate an ultra-stable all-graphene field effect transistor(AG-FET).Enabled by the covalent functionalized configuration and the functionally diverse of coupling agents,the AG-FET obtained by this simple method won the high electrical characteristics,the hole,electron mobility,and the shelflife could reach 3.79 cm2/(V·s),3.78 cm2/(V·s),and 18months,respectively.In addition,good material stability and excellent device structure endow the device exceptional stability,electrical stability,and solvent resistance,improving its application prospect in solution phase sensing/detection.Such characteristics could be used to sense,transduce,and respond to external stimuli,especially in solution phase to monitor the important analytes,such as Hg^(2+)in a flowing sewage environment.We believe that such easy-to-manufacture AG-FETs with ultrahigh performance and ultrahigh stability could also show great application prospects in other significant fields.Mingyuan Sun Congcong Zhang Duo Chen Jian Wang Yanchen Ji Na Liang Haoyang Gao Shanshan Cheng Hong Liu 2021SmartMat2021,2,2:2
13Characterization of insoluble dietary fiber from Pleurotus eryngii and evaluation of its effects on obesity-preventing or relieving effects via modulation of gut microbiota显示文摘The purpose of this study was to evaluate the obesity preventing or relieving effect of insoluble dietary fiber(IDF)from Pleurotus eryngii through its modulations on intestinal microbiota.The IDF was extracted and structurally characterized through FTIR,X-Ray and thermogravimetric(TG)analysis.The mice for in vivo experiments were divided into obesity preventing group(feeding high-fat diet while gavage IDF simultaneously)and obesity relieving group(IDF intervention after the establishment of the obese model)to evaluate its hypolipidemic effect.Results:The yield of P.eryngii IDF extracts was 56.49%(on P.eryngii dry weight base)with IDF content of 85.15%in the extracts.The in vivo results showed that the body weight of the obesity-preventing groups was still increasing after intervention with IDF,but the growth rate was lowered,and the abnormal lipid metabolism and inflammation syndromes were alleviated;the acetic acid content of the medium and low dose dietary fiber intervention groups was significantly higher than that of the normal group,and the structure of the intestinal flora was improved.The mice weight from the obesity-relieving group decreased significantly.The abnormal lipid metabolism and inflammation were alleviated.In conclusion,The IDF intervention decreased the abnormal lipid metabolism and inflammation in both obesity-preventing and relieving experiments.The intestinal flora structure was obviously improved.P.eryngii IDF is a good candidate as hypolipidemic agent.Xiaoyun Han Duo Yang Song Zhang Xiaoli Liu Yuelong Zhao Chunyue Song Qingshen Sun 2023Journal of Future Foods2023,3,1:2

15Optimization of Hydrolysis Conditions for the Isolation of Angiotensin-I Converting Enzyme(ACE) Inhibitory Peptides from Rhopilema hispidum显示文摘To obtain the maximum angiotensin-I converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitory activity, the protein hydrolysis conditions of the jellyfish Rhopilema hispidum were optimized using response surface methodology(RSM). Trypsin was selected to produce R. hispidum protein hydrolysates(RPH) with ACE inhibitory activity. The optimal parameters for producing protein hydrolysates with the highest ACE inhibitory activity were as follows: hydrolysis time 5 h, hydrolysis temperature 50℃, and the enzyme-to-substrate ratio 6%. Under these conditions, the ACE inhibitory rate of RPH could reach 64.28% ± 5.72%. In addition, RPH contained high levels of Gly, Glu, Pro, Ala, Asp and Arg, with a molecular weight distribution range of 0.32–6.84 kDa. The following three novel ACE inhibitory peptides were isolated and identified: Ile-Gly-Glu-Thr-Gly-Pro, Gly-Ala-Thr-Gly-Pro-Ala-Gly-Tyr-Val and Gly-AlaPhe-Gly-Pro-Gly-Gly-Leu-Val-Gly-Arg-Pro. The IC_(50) values of the ACE inhibitory activity of these three purified peptides were 19.07, 27.42 and 31.26 μmol L^(-1), respectively. 16Altitude of the upper boundary of AAR based on observations of ion beams in inverted-V structures:A case study显示文摘Outflowing ion beams forming four successive inverted-V structures in the energy-time spectrograms of H+, He+, and O+ were observed at an altitude of 3.4 RE by Cluster satellites travelling above the auroral acceleration region (AAR) in the southern hemisphere on February 14, 2001. Energization by negative U-shaped potential structures in the AAR is believed to be responsible for the formation of these outflowing ion inverted-V structures. Thus, utilizing the different motion properties of the three ion species, the altitude of the upper boundary of the AAR is estimated to be ~11100 km. 17Three new bioactive flavonoid glycosides from Viscum album显示文摘Two new flavonoid glycosides, named viscumneoside XⅡ(1), and viscumneoside XⅢ(2);a new dihydrogen flavonoid glycoside product named viscumneoside XⅣ(3), were isolated from the aerial part of Viscum album, along with seven known compounds(4-10). Their structures were identified by analysis of spectroscopic data. 19Driving and tilt-hovering-An agile and manoeuvrable aerial vehicle with tiltable rotors显示文摘Driving and tilt-hovering help unmanned aerial vehicles extend their time of operation and the visible range of the equipped sensors.Standard quadrotors are underactuated,whose translational and rotational motions are strongly coupled.As a result,it is impossible to maintain the attitude invariably while changing position.Meanwhile,larger flying speed results in greater air resistance,which is also not desirable.A novel aerial platform with tiltable rotors is proposed.Compared with standard quadrotors,the aerial vehicle has three special capabilities:vector-flying,tilt-hovering,and driving.The platform consists of two tilting-axes to change the direction of thrusts with respect to the aircraft body.To guarantee flexible manoeuvres,a geometric tracking control scheme that adapts on the fly to the thrust vectoring is exploited.Manoeuvrability of the proposed vehicle in different manoeuvres is demonstrated,such as flight with vectoring thrust that can reduce the flight resistance,tilt-hovering expanding the reachable set of the equipped sensors.The prototype equipped with an electromechanical controller is constructed,and several associated preliminary experiments are performed.The feasibility of the mechanical design and the geometric control strategy are demonstrated.Binbin Li Lei Ma Duo Wang Yongkui Sun 2021IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2021,3,2:1
