| 1 | Chinese expert consensus on cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for peritoneal malignancies显示文摘Locoregional spread of abdominopelvic malignant tumors frequently results in peritoneal carcinomatosis(PC). The prognosis of PC patients treated by conventional systemic chemotherapy is poor, with a median survival of < 6 mo. However, over the past three decades, an integrated treatment strategy of cytoreductive surgery(CRS) + hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC) has been developed by the pioneering oncologists, with proved efficacy and safety in selected patients. Supported by several lines of clinical evidence from phases Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ clinical trials, CRS + HIPEC has been regarded as the standard treatment for selected patients with PC in many established cancer centers worldwide. In China, an expert consensus on CRS + HIPEC has been reached by the leading surgical and medical oncologists, under the framework of the China Anti-Cancer Association. | 4 | Effect of Long-Term Fertilization on Soil Productivity and Nitrate Accumulation in Gansu Oasis显示文摘A long-term (1982-2001) field experiment was conducted in a calcareous soil under wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)-wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)-maize (Zea mays L.) rotation system at Zhangye, Gansu Province, China to determine the effects oflong-term fertilization on crop yield, nutrients interactions, content and accumulation of nitrate-N in soil profiles. Twenty-four plots in a split-plot factorial with a combination of eight treatments (from nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K)and farmyard manure (M) applications) and 3 replications were selected. Main treatments were M and without M, and thesub-treatments were no-fertilizer (CK), N, NP and NPK. When P and K fertilizers were part of treatments, their ratio to Nwas 1N:0.22P:0.42K. All M, P and K fertilizers were applied as the basal dressing. The grain yield was harvested eachexperimental period and straw yield for the period from 1988 to 1997. After crop harvest in 2000, the soil was sampled fromthe 0-20, 20-60, 60-100, 100-140 and 140-180 cm depths to determine NO3--N content. Maize yield of CK in 2000 was only 28.2%of that in 1984, and wheat in 2001 was 25.7% of that observed in 1982. Average impact of fertilizers on grain yield decreasedin the order of N > M > P > K. Yield response to N and P fertilizers increased with progress of the experiment. The impact ofK fertilizer showed no increase in grain yield during the initial 6 years (1982-1987), moderate increase in the next 5 years(1988-1992), and considerable increase in the last 9 years (1993-2001). The straw yield trend was similar to grain yield.Accumulation and distribution of NO3--N in soil was significantly affected by annual fertilizations. Mineral fertilizers (NPand NPK) led to NO3--N accumulation in most subsoil layers, with major impact in the 20-140 cm depth. The combinationof mineral fertilizers and farmyard manure (MNP and MNPK) reduced soil NO3--N accumulation in comparison to mineralfertilizers. | 5 | Evaluation of malignancy using Ki-67,p53,EGFR and COX-2 expressions in gastrointestinal stromal tumors显示文摘AIM:To investigate the role of expressions of Ki-67, p53,epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2)in gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST)grading and prognosis. METHODS:Tumor tissue was collected retrospectively from 96 patients with GIST.Antibodies against Ki-67, p53,EGFR and COX-2 were used for immunohistochemical staining.Tumor grading was designated according to a consensus system and the staining was quantified in 3 categories for each antibody in the statistical analysis. RESULTS:The Ki-67 expression in GISTs was significantly associated with the size of the tumors,mitotic rate and the risk of malignancy(x2=15.51,P=0.02; x2=22.27,P<0.001;x2=20.05;P<0.001).The p53 expression was also significantly correlated with mitotic rate and the risk of malignancy(x2=9.92,P= 0.04;x2=9.97;P=0.04).Over-expression of Ki-67 was strongly correlated with poor survival(x2=10.44, P=0.006),but no correlation was found between the expression of p53,EGFR or COX-2 and survival. Multivariate analysis further demonstrated that Ki-67 expression(relative risk=15.78,95%CI:4.25-59.37) could be used as an independent prognostic value for GIST patients.Adjuvant imatinib therapy could improve clinical outcomes in the patients with high risk and intermediate risk of recurrence after complete tumor resections(median survival time:52 mo vs 37 mo, x2=7.618,P=0.006). | 8 | Concurrent intracranial and extracranial artery stenosis and the prognosis of transient ischaemic symptoms or imaging-negative ischaemic stroke显示文摘Background and purpose Transient ischaemic attack(TIA),transient symptoms with infarction(TSI)and diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)-negative acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)share similar aetiologies but are considered to have a rather benign prognosis.We intended to investigate the association between intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(ICAS),extracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(ECAS)and the prognosis of patients with TIA,TSI and DWI-negative AIS.Methods Clinical and imaging data of eligible participants were derived from the Chinese Intracranial Atherosclerosis study,according to symptom duration,acute infarction on DWI and discharge diagnosis.Based on the severity and location of arterial atherosclerosis,we categorised the study population into four groups:no or<50% ICAS and no ECAS;≥50% ICAS but no ECAS;no or<50%ICAS with ECAS;and concurrent≥50% ICAS and ECAS.Using multivariable Cox regression models,we analysed the relationship between the severity and distribution of large artery atherosclerosis and the prognosis of TIA,TSI and DWI-negative AIS.Results A total of 806 patients were included,67.3% of whom were male.The median age of the study participants was 63 years.Patients in the concurrent≥50% ICAS and ECAS subgroup had both a significantly higher 1-year recurrence rate(adjusted HR 3.4(95%CI 1.15 to 10.04),p=0.027)and a higher risk of composite vascular events(adjusted HR 3.82(95%CI 1.50 to 9.72),p=0.005).Conclusions Concurrent ICAS and ECAS is associated with a higher possibility of 1-year recurrent stroke or composite vascular events.Large artery evaluation is necessary to assess patients with transient ischaemic symptoms or DWI-negative AIS.Progress in shortening the time interval between symptom onset and large vessel evaluation is needed. | Yue Suo Jing Jing Yuesong Pan Weiqi Chen Hongyu Zhou Hao Li Yuehua Pu Liping Liu Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Xia Meng Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1: | 10 |

| 12 | Plate tectonic control on the formation and tectonic migration of Cenozoic basins in northern margin of the South China Sea显示文摘The tectonic evolution history of the South China Sea(SCS) is important for understanding the interaction between the Pacific Tectonic Domain and the Tethyan Tectonic Domain,as well as the regional tectonics and geodynamics during the multi-plate convergence in the Cenozoic.Several Cenozoic basins formed in the northern margin of the SCS,which preserve the sedimentary tectonic records of the opening of the SCS.Due to the spatial non-uniformity among different basins,a systematic study on the various basins in the northern margin of the SCS constituting the Northern Cenozoic Basin Group(NCBG) is essential.Here we present results from a detailed evaluation of the spatial-temporal migration of the boundary faults and primary unconformities to unravel the mechanism of formation of the NCBG.The NCBG is composed of the Beibu Gulf Basin(BBGB),Qiongdongnan Basin(QDNB),Pearl River Mouth Basin(PRMB) and Taixinan Basin(TXNB).Based on seismic profiles and gravity-magnetic anomalies,we confirm that the NE-striking onshore boundary faults propagated into the northern margin of the SCS.Combining the fault slip rate,fault combination and a comparison of the unconformities in different basins,we identify NE-striking rift composed of two-stage rifting events in the NCBG:an early-stage rifting(from the Paleocene to the Early Oligocene) and a late-stage rifting(from the Late Eocene to the beginning of the Miocene).Spatially only the late-stage faults occurs in the western part of the NCBG(the BBGB,the QDNB and the western PRMB),but the early-stage rifting is distributed in the whole NCBG.Temporally,the early-stage rifting can be subdivided into three phases which show an eastward migration,resulting in the same trend of the primary unconformities and peak faulting within the NCBG.The late-stage rifting is subdivided into two phases,which took place simultaneously in different basins.The first and second phase of the early-stage rifting is related to back-arc extension of the Pacific subduction retreat system.The third phase of the earlystage rifting resulted from the joint effect of slab-pull force due to southward subduction of the proto-SCS and the back-arc extension of the Pacific subduction retreat system.In addition,the first phase of the late-stage faulting corresponds with the combined effect of the post-collision extension along the Red River Fault and slab-pull force of the proto-SCS subduction.The second phase of the late-stage faulting fits well with the sinistral faulting of the Red River Fault in response to the Indochina Block escape tectonics and the slab-pull force of the proto-SCS. | Pengcheng Wang Sanzhong Li Yanhui Suo Lingli Guo Guangzeng Wang Gege Hui M.Santosh Ian D.Somerville Xianzhi Cao Yang Li | 2020 | Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,4: | 10 |

| 17 | Clinical and molecular analysis of hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer in Chinese colorectal cancer patients显示文摘AIM:To analyze the frequency of hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer(HNPCC)in Chinese colorectal cancer(CRC)patients,and to discuss the value of microsatellite instability(MSI)and/or immunohistochemistry(IHC)for MSH2/MLH1 protein analysis as pre-screening tests in China.METHODS:The Amsterdam criteriaⅠandⅡ(clinical diagnosis)and/or germline hMLH1/hMSH2 mutations(genetic diagnosis)were used to classify HNPCC families.Genetic tests,including microsatellite instability,immunohistochemistry for MSH2/MLH1 proteins and hMSH2/hMLH1 genes,were performed in each proband.RESULTS:From July 2000 to June 2004,1988 patients with colorectal cancer were analysed and 114 CRC patients(5.7%)from 48 families were categorized as having HNPCC,including 76 from 26 families diagnosed clinically and 38 from the other 22 families diagnosed genetically.The sensitivity and specificity of high MSI and IHC for predicting mutations were 100% and 54%,and 79% and 77%,respectively.CONCLUSION:The frequency of HNPCC is approximately 10% among all Chinese CRC cases.The MSI and IHC detections for hMSH2/hMLH1 proteins are reliable pre-screening tests for hMLH1/hMSH2 germline mutations in families suspected of having HNPCC. | Jun Wang Mao-Hong Luo Zuo-Xing Zhang Pei-Da Zhang Xi-Li Jiang Dong-Wang Ma Rong-Zeng Suo Li-Zhong Zhao Qing-Hui Qi | 2007 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2007,13,10: | 8 |
| 18 | Synthesis and luminescence properties of rare earth ternary complexes consisting of Tb(Ⅲ), β-diketones and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen)显示文摘In order to study the luminescent properties of ternary rare earth complexes with β-diketone ligand, three new β-diketone ligands, 1-phenyl-3-(p-phenylethynylphenyl)-1,3-propanedione(HPPP), 1-(2-thienyl)-3-(p-phenylethynylphenyl)-1,3-propanedione (HTPP) and 1-(2-furyl)-3-(p-phenylethynylphenyl)-1,3-propanedione (HFPP), were synthesized by Sonogashira coupling reaction and Claisen condensa- tion. Three new ternary rare earth complexes, TbL3phen (L = PPP, TPP, or FPP), were synthesized by the reaction of rare earth chloride TbCl3,1,10-phenanthroline (phen) with HPPP, HTPP, or HFPP respectively, in alcohol solution. The compositions were characterized by means of elemental analysis, chemical analysis, and IR spectra. Luminescent properties of the three new complexes have been studied. | 20 | Radiofrequency ablation technique eradicating palpebral margin neoplasm显示文摘·AIM:To report the study on radiofrequency ablation technique for eradication of palpebral margin neoplasm and its clinical effects.·METHODS:One hundred and six cases with the palpebral margin neoplasm were performed surgical removal with radiofrequency ablation technique.The 1-2 months postoperative follow-up was investigated and the lost cases were excluded from statistics.The continuing follow-up lasted about 6-16months.·RESULTS:One hundred cases underwent one treatment and 6 cases underwent two treatments.Six cases were missed.All the cases followed up healed well without pigmentation or scar left,nor eyelash loss or palpebral margin deformation.No case was recurrent.·CONCLUSION:Radiofrequency ablation has significant efficiency in eradicating the palpebral margin neoplasm.· | Tian-Yu Jiang, Hong-Yu Xiao | 2011 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2011,4,2: | 7 |
