| 1 | A robust and efficient structural reliability method combining radial-based importance sampling and Kriging显示文摘Simulation based structural reliability analysis suffers from a heavy computational burden, as each sample needs to be evaluated on the performance function, where structural analysis is performed. To alleviate the computational burden, related research focuses mainly on reduction of samples and application of surrogate model, which substitutes the performance function. However,the reduction of samples is achieved commonly at the expense of loss of robustness, and the construction of surrogate model is computationally expensive. In view of this, this paper presents a robust and efficient method in the same direction. The present method uses radial-based importance sampling (RBIS) to reduce samples without loss of robustness. Importantly, Kriging is fully used to efficiently implement RBIS. It not only serves as a surrogate to classify samples as we all know, but also guides the procedure to determine the optimal radius, with which RBIS would reduce samples to the highest degree. When used as a surrogate, Kriging is established through active learning, where the previously evaluated points to determine the optimal radius are reused. | 6 | Pseudo-beam method for compressive buckling characteristics analysis of space inflatable load-carrying structures显示文摘This paper extends Le van's work to the case ofnonlinear problem and the complicated configuration. Thewrinkling stress distribution and the pressure effects are alsoincluded in our analysis. Pseudo-beam method is presentedbased on the inflatable beam theory to model the inflatablestructures as a set of inflatable beam elements with a pre-stressedstate. In this method, the discretized nonlinearequations are given based upon the virtual work principlewith a 3-node Timoshenko's beam model. Finite elementsimulation is performed by using a 3-node BEAM 189 elementincorporating ANS YS nonlinear program. The pressureeffect is equivalent included in our method by modifyingbeam element cross-section parameters related to pressure.A benchmark example, the bending case of an inflatable cantileverbeam, is performed to verify the accuracy of our proposedmethod. The comparisons reveal that the numericalresults obtained with our method are close to open publishedanalytical and membrane finite element results. The methodis then used to evaluate the whole buckling and the load-carryingcharacteristics of an inflatable support frame subjectedto a compression force. The wrinkling stress and regioncharacteristics are also shown in the end. This method givesbetter convergence characteristics, and requires much lesscomputation time. Due to the large size and the high flexibility, new challenges for large aerostats have appeared in the configuration test and the deformation analysis. The methods of the configuration test and the deformation analysis for large airship have been researched and discussed. A tested method of the configuration,named internal scanning, is established to quickly obtain the spatial information of all surfaces for the large airship by the three-dimensional(3D) laser scanning technology. By using the surface wrap method, the configuration parameters of the large airship are calculated. According to the test data of the configuration, the structural dimensions such as the distances between the characteristic sections are measured. The method of the deformation analysis for the airship contains the algorithm of nonuniform rational B-splines(NURBS) and the finite element(FE)method. The algorithm of NURBS is used to obtain the reconfiguration model of the large airship. The seams are considered and the seam areas are divided. The FE model of the middle part of the large airship is established. The distributions of the stress and the strain for the large airship are obtained by the FE method. | 15 | Investigation on the radioactivity levels of seawater,sediments,and biota in Daya Bay,China显示文摘Objective:To investigate the radioactivity levels of seawater,sediments,and biota in the Daya Bay sea area,China,in order to establish the radioactivity baseline values,and provide basic data for the assessment of potential radiological risks that might result from the application of nuclear technology or human activities.Methods:Samples of seawater,sediments,and biota were collected from the Daya Bay sea area and analyzed.Their radioactivity baseline data were then compared with information from other regions in China and around the world reported in related literature.Results:For the seawater samples,the activity concentrations of natural radionuclide ^(40)K were 9.9-10.4 Bq/L,while ^(238)U,226Ra,^(210)Pb,^(137)Cs,and ^(110)Ag^(m) were below the minimum detectable activity(MDA).Regarding the sediment samples,the activity concentrations of ^(238)U,^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(210)Pb,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 38.1-40.4,49.1-53.7,32.6-38.6,59-95,590-650,and 0.48-0.88 Bq/(kg dry weight),respectively,while ^(110)Agm was below the MDA.For the marine shrimps in the biota samples,the activity concentrations of ^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 1.14-2.75,0.17-0.43,63-76,and 0.038-0.045 Bq/(kg wet weight),respectively,while ^(238)U,^(210)Pb,and ^(110)Agm were all below the MDA.Furthermore,for the marine fishes in the biota samples,the activity concentrations of ^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(210)Pb,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 2.1-19.7,0.32-3.78,<2.2-2.8,59-70,and<0.007-0.026 Bq/(kg wet weight),respectively,while ^(238)U and ^(110)Ag^(m) were all below the MDA.^(228)Ra was found to be concentrated in Osteomugil ophuyseni with 19.7 Bq/(kg wet weight).Conclusions:The radioactivity levels of seawater and marine sediments in the Daya Bay sea area are within the range of the normal background values.Osteomugil ophuyseni exhibited higher concentrations of ^(228)Ra than other species in this study,while the other species in the biota show no significant difference in the radioactivity levels from data in relevant literature. | Fan Cui Honghui Huang Yi Shen Zhan Tan Pengxiang Qu Ming Dai Hongwei Yu Weixu Huang Zixiang Wu Huifeng Chen Weizhen Guo Yuxin Jia Yanbing Liu | 2023 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,3: | 0 |
