| 1 | Lake eutrophication and its ecosystem response显示文摘China is a country with many lakes,about one-third of which are freshwater mainly distributed in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.Currently most of the lakes are mesotrophic or eutrophic.Lake eutrophication has become one of the major ecological and environmental problems faced by lakes in China and can lead to a series of abnormal ecosystem responses,including extinction of submerged plants,frequent occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms,increased microbial biomass and productivity,decreased biodiversity,accelerated cycles,and a change in the efficient use of nutrients.With development of eutrophication,the whole lake ecosystem suffers decreased biodiversity,simplification of biotic community structure,instability of the ecosystem,and ultimately the clear-water,macrophyte-dominated ecosystem gradually shifts to a turbid-water,algae-dominated ecosystem.This ecosystem succession mechanism is speculated to be caused by different nutrient utilization efficiencies of macrophytes and phytoplankton.The ultimate ecosystem succession trend of seriously eutrophic lakes is that a phytoplankton-dominated autotrophic lake shifts to a heterotrophic lake dominated by micro-organisms,protozoans. | QIN BoQiang GAO Guang ZHU GuangWei ZHANG YunLin SONG YuZhi TANG XiangMing XU Hai DENG JianMing | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,9: | 63 |
| 2 | Phytoplankton community from Lake Taihu,China,has dissimilar responses to inorganic and organic nutrients显示文摘To evaluate the response of phytoplankton from Lake Taihu to different types of nutrients,the phytoplankton responses were measured after adding inorganic nitrogen(N) and phosphorus(P) or decomposed algal scum(Microcystis spp.) into the lake water. Both types of nutrients promoted an increase in phytoplankton biomass as determined by chlorophyll a and algal wet weight.The addition of decomposed algal scum resulted in a significantly greater phytoplankton response than the addition of inorganic N and P alone.The dissolved inorganic N and P in the inorganic nutrient treatment were found not limit phytoplankton growth.The higher algal biomass obtained in the treatment with decomposed algal scum indicated the importance of other organic nutrients besides N and P such as trace elements,as well as the importance of the form of N since the levels of ammonia nitrogen(NH4+-N) from the decomposed algal treatment were actually higher than that of the inorganic N and P addition.Microcystis spp.(Cyanobacteria) ,Scenedesmus spp.(Chlorophyta) and Synechocystis spp.(Cyanobacteria) were the dominant taxa in the control,inorganic N and P treatment,and the decomposed algal scum treatment,respectively.Microcystis never bloomed in response to both types of nutrient additions indicating that the bloom propagation is not solely related to nutrient additions,but may be related to the absence of selective grazing from zooplankton. | Xiaodong Wang Boqiang Qin Guang Gao Yongping Wang Xiangming Tang Timothy Otten | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,10: | 11 |
| 3 | Vertical diversity of sediment bacterial communities in two different trophic states of the eutrophic Lake Taihu, China显示文摘Vertical diversity of sediment bacterial communities in 2 different trophic states(macrophyte-dominated and algae-dominated) of the large shallow eutrophic Lake Taihu,China,were investigated using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) and 16S rRNA sequence analysis.Clustering analysis of DGGE profiles showed that different clusters were recognized in different depths of sediment cores in the 2 lake trophic states.Analyses of the bacterial diversity,as estimated by the Shannon index(H '),showed that different sediment layers of the macrophyte-dominated state had higher diversity than the algae-dominated state.In addition,bacterial diversity of the sediment in the macrophyte-dominated state changed abruptly throughout the layers,but bacterial diversity of the algae-dominated state decreased gradually with sediment depth.Phylogenetic analysis showed that Proteobacteria was the most abundant phylum in the middle sediment of the 2 lake trophic states.In the macrophyte-dominated state,clone sequences related to Betaproteobacteria(50.0%) were the most abundant,followed by Epsilonproteobacteria(21.1%),Acidobacteria(7.9%),Deltaproteobacteria(7.9%),Chloroflexi(7.9%),and Bacteroidetes(5.3%);whereas in the algae-dominated state,sequences affiliated with Betaproteobacteria(84.4%) were predominant,followed by Deltaproteobacteria(12.5%) and Acidobacteria(3.1%).Canonical correspondence analysis showed that organic matter and pH play key roles in driving the vertical changes of bacterial community composition. | Keqiang Shao Guang Gao Yongping Wang Xiangming Tang Boqiang Qin | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,6: | 9 |
| 4 | Comparison and combination of EAKF and SIR-PF in the Bayesian filter framework显示文摘Bayesian estimation theory provides a general approach for the state estimate of linear or nonlinear and Gaussian or non-Gaussian systems. In this study, we first explore two Bayesian-based methods: ensemble adjustment Kalman filter(EAKF) and sequential importance resampling particle filter(SIR-PF), using a well-known nonlinear and non-Gaussian model(Lorenz '63 model). The EAKF, which is a deterministic scheme of the ensemble Kalman filter(En KF), performs better than the classical(stochastic) En KF in a general framework. Comparison between the SIR-PF and the EAKF reveals that the former outperforms the latter if ensemble size is so large that can avoid the filter degeneracy, and vice versa. The impact of the probability density functions and effective ensemble sizes on assimilation performances are also explored. On the basis of comparisons between the SIR-PF and the EAKF, a mixture filter, called ensemble adjustment Kalman particle filter(EAKPF), is proposed to combine their both merits. Similar to the ensemble Kalman particle filter, which combines the stochastic En KF and SIR-PF analysis schemes with a tuning parameter, the new mixture filter essentially provides a continuous interpolation between the EAKF and SIR-PF. | 5 | Boron-doped Ketjenblack based high performances cathode for rechargeable Li–O2 batteries显示文摘Boron-doped Ketjenblack is attempted as cathode catalyst for non-aqueous rechargeable Li–O_2 batteries. The boron-doped Ketjenblack delivers an extremely high discharge capacity of 7193 m Ah/g at a current density of 0.1 m A/cm2, and the capacity is about 2.3 times as that of the pristine KB. When the batteries are cycled with different restricted capacity, the boron-doped Ketjenblack based cathodes exhibits higher discharge platform and longer cycle life than Ketjenblack based cathodes. Additionally, the boron-doped Ketjenblack also shows a superior electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction in 0.1 mol/L KOH aqueous solution. | 6 | Carbon coated ultrasmall anatase TiO_2 nanocrystal anchored on N,S-RGO as high-performance anode for sodium ion batteries显示文摘Anatase TiO_2 has been investigated as one of the most promising anode materials for sodium ion batteries(SIBs)with low cost and high theoretical capacity.Herein,a composite material of TiO_2 /N,S-RGO@C with carbon coated ultrasmall anatase TiO_2 anchored on nitrogen and sulfur co-doped RGO matrix was successfully prepared by a rational designed process.The composite structure exhibited ultrasmall crystal size,rich porous structure,homogeneous heteroatoms doping and thin carbon coating,which synergistically resulted in elevated electron and ion transfer.The anode exhibited high rate capacities with good reversibility under high rate cycling.The carbon coating was investigated to be effective to prevent active material falling and lead to long term cycling performance with a high capacity retention of 181 m Ah g^(à1)after 2000cycles at 2 C.Kinetic studies were carried out and the results revealed that the superior performance of the composite material were derived from the decreased charge transfer resistance and elevated ion diffusion.Results suggested that the TiO_2 /N,S-RGO@C composite is a promising anode material for sodium ion batteries. | Lingfei Zhao Tong Tang Weihua Chen Xiangming Feng Liwei Mi | 2018 | Green Energy & Environment2018,3,3: | 2 |

| 12 | Biodegradable dissolved organic carbon shapes bacterial community structures and co-occurrence patterns in large eutrophic Lake Taihu显示文摘Interactions between dissolved organic matter(DOM)and bacteria are central in the biogeochemical cycles of aquatic ecosystems;however,the relative importance of biodegradable dissolved organic carbon(BDOC)compared with other environmental variables in structuring the bacterial communities needs further investigation.Here,we investigated bacterial communities,chromophoric DOM(CDOM)characteristics and physico-chemical parameters as well as examined BDOC via bioassay incubations in large eutrophic Lake Taihu,China,to explore the importance of BDOC for shaping bacterial community structures and co-occurrence patterns.We found that the proportion of BDOC(%BDOC)correlated significantly and positively with the DOC concentration and the index of the contribution of recent produced autochthonous CDOM(BIX).%BDOC,further correlated positively with the relative abundance of the tryptophan-like component and negatively with CDOM aromaticity,indicating that autochthonous production of protein-like CDOM was an important source of BDOC.The richness of the bacterial communities correlated negatively with%BDOC,indicating an enhanced number of species in the refractory DOC environments.%BDOC was identified as a significant stronger factor than DOC in shaping bacterial community composition and the co-occurrence network,suggesting that substrate biodegradability is more significant than DOC quantity determining the bacterial communities in a eutrophic lake.Environmental factors explained a larger proportion of the variation in the conditionally rare and abundant subcommunity than for the abundant and the rare bacterial subcommunities.Our findings emphasize the importance of considering bacteria with different abundance patterns and DOC biodegradability when studying the interactions between DOM and bacteria in eutrophic lakes. | Lei Zhou Yongqiang Zhou Xiangming Tang Yunlin Zhang Erik Jeppesen | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,9: | 1 |

| 15 | Rational design of imine-linked three-dimensional mesoporous covalent organic frameworks with bor topology显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)covalent organic frameworks(COFs)possess great potential applications in various fields.Constructing 3D COFs with large pore sizes is extremely challenging due to the interpenetration and collapse.Herein,we report a series of crystalline imine-linked 3D COFs(3D-bor-COF-1,3D-borCOF-2,3D-bor-COF-3)with mesoporous channels through rationally designing the topology configuration.These 3D-bor-COFs display permanent porosity and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)surfaces of 3205.5,1752.7,and 2077.3 m2 g−1(SLangmuir=4277.7,2480.3,and 2698.0 m2 g−1),respectively.The pore sizes of 3Dbor-COFs were confirmed by the lattice fringes from high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,as well as structural simulation and nitrogen adsorption isotherm analysis.3D-bor-COFs display large pore sizes(3.8 nm for 3D-borCOF-3),which is among the highest record of 3D COFs.Owing to the unstackedaromatic pore environment and high specific surface area,3D-bor-COFs display excellent adsorption capacity for benzene vapor(1203.9 mg g−1 for 3D-bor-COF-3)under 298 K,which is three times higher than that of the best-reported 2D COF.This work not only provides inspiration for designing 3D mesoporous imineCOFs,but also demonstrates a strategy for constructing aromatics adsorption materials. | Zonglong Li Chouhung Hsueh Zhuozhuo Tang Jia Chen Xiaolin Wang Hao Cui Yang Yang Xiaodan Wang Dongsheng Ren Hongqiang Gao Mingyang Li Hong Xu Xiangming He | 2022 | SusMat2022,2,2: | 0 |
| 16 | Annual Maps of Forests in Australia from Analyses of Microwave and Optical Images with FAO Forest Definition显示文摘The Australian governmental agencies reported a total of 149 million ha forest in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations(FAO)in 2010,ranking sixth in the world,which is based on a forest definition with tree height>2 meters.Here,we report a new forest cover data product that used the FAO forest definition(tree cover>10%and tree height>5 meters at observation time or mature)and was derived from microwave(Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar,PALSAR)and optical(Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer,MODIS)images and validated with very high spatial resolution images,Light Detection and Ranging(LiDAR)data from the Ice,Cloud,and land Elevation Satellite(ICESat),and in situ field survey sites.The new PALSAR/MODIS forest map estimates 32 million ha of forest in 2010 over Australia.PALSAR/MODIS forest map has an overall accuracy of~95%based on the reference data derived from visual interpretation of very high spatial resolution images for forest and nonforest cover types.Compared with the canopy height and canopy coverage data derived from ICESat LiDAR strips,PALSAR/MODIS forest map has 73%of forest pixels meeting the FAO forest definition,much higher than the other four widely used forest maps(ranging from 36%to 52%).PALSAR/MODIS forest map also has a reasonable spatial consistency with the forest map from the National Vegetation Information System.This new annual map of forests in Australia could support cross-country comparison when using data from the FAO Forest Resource Assessment Reports. | Yuanwei Qin Xiangming Xiao Jean-Pierre Wigneron Philippe Ciais Josep G.Canadell Martin Brandt Xiaojun Li Lei Fan Xiaocui Wu Hao Tang Ralph Dubayah Russell Doughty Qing Chang Sean Crowell Bo Zheng Kevin Neal Jorge A.Celis Berrien MooreⅢ | 2021 | Journal of Remote Sensing2021,,1: | 0 |
