1Antigenic variation of the human influenza A(H3N2) virus during the 2014–2015 winter season显示文摘The human influenza A(H3N2) virus dominated the 2014–2015 winter season in many countries and caused massive morbidity and mortality because of its antigenic variation. So far, very little is known about the antigenic patterns of the recent H3N2 virus. By systematically mapping the antigenic relationships of H3N2 strains isolat ed since 2010, we discov ered that two groups with obvious antigenic divergence, named SW13(A/Switzerland/9715293/2013-like strains) and HK14(A/Hong Kong/5738/2014-like strains), co-circulated during the 2014–2015 winter season. HK14 group co-circulated with SW13 in Europe and the United States during this season, while there were few strains of HK14 in China's Mainland, where SW13 has dominated since 2012. Furthermore, we found that substitutions near the receptor-binding site on hemagglutinin played an important role in the antigenic variation of both the groups. 2Effect of Alpinia officinarum Hance alcohol extracts on primary dysmenorrheal显示文摘Objective:To study the effect of Alpinia officinarum Hance(A.officinarum) 80% alcohol extract on the primary dysmenorrhea.Methods:A.officinarum 80% alcohol extract were enriched by macroporous adsorption resins.Female mice of primary dysmenorrhea model were established by oxytocin induction; the effects of A.officinarum 80% alcohol extract on primary dysmenorrhea were observed by body twist method; and the homogenate level of prostaglandin F_(2α)(PGF_(2α)),prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2) and Ca^(2+) in the uterus were observed in oxytocin-induced female mice.Results:The writhing frequency of primary dysmenorrhea mice was significantly decreased after treatment of A.officinarum 80% alcohol extract and the level of PGF_(2α),PGE_2 and Ca^(2+) in mice uterus was significantly decreased(P<0.05,P<0.01) in groups of mice treated with middle and high dosage of A.officinarum 80% alcohol extract compared with that of model group.Conclusions:These findings suggest that A.Officinarum 80% alcohol extract can significantly relieve primary dysmenorrhea.Ling Huang Jun-Qing Zhang You-Bin Li Mi Liu Hui-Ming Deng Yu-Chao Luo Yin-Feng Tan Jie Hou Gui-Wei Yao Wei-Wei Guan 2016Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2016,9,9:4
3Effects of thermomechanical cycling on the shape memory behavior and transformation temperatures of a Ni50.2Ti49.8 alloy显示文摘The effects of thermomechanical cycling on the shape memory behavior and transformation temperatures of a Ni50.2Ti49.8 alloy under a constant applied stress of 300 MPa were investigated. It is believed that thermomechanical cycling induces defects such as dislocations, which evidently affect the shape memory behavior and transformation temperatures. The recovery strain decreases with increasing number of thermomechanical cycles, whereas the irreversible plastic strain increases, especially in the initial few cycles. The stored elastic strain energy has an important influence on transformation temperatures, the As σ decreases and the M sσ increases with increasing number of thermomechanical cycles. 4Nanovilli electrode boosts hydrogen evolution:A surface with superaerophobicity and superhydrophilicity显示文摘Although tremendous efforts have been paid on electrocatalysts toward efficient electrochemical hydrogen generation,breakthrough is still highly needed in the design and synthesis of wonderful non-precious-metal electrocatalyst.Herein,a nanovilli Ni2P electrode,which with superaerophobic and superhydropholic can significantly facilitate the mass and electron transfer was constructed via a facial morphology control strategy.Meanwhile,the substitution of sluggish oxygen evolution with urea oxidation,lowering the two-electrode cell voltage to only 1.48 volts to achieve a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2).Thus,the as-constructed electrode achieves the operation of hydrogen generation by an AA battery.This work sheds new light on the exploration of other high-efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen generation by using intermittent clean energy.Yijun Yin Yan Tan Qiuyuan Wei Shucong Zhang Siqi Wu Qin Huang Feilong Hu Yan Mi 2021Nano Research2021,14,4:3

10Salmonella-mediated blood-brain barrier penetration,tumor homing and tumor microenvironment regulation for enhanced chemo/bacterial glioma therapy显示文摘Chemotherapy is an important adjuvant treatment of glioma,while the efficacy is far from satisfactory,due not only to the biological barriers of blood-brain barrier(BBB)and blood-tumor barrier(BTB)but also to the intrinsic resistance of glioma cells via multiple survival mechanisms such as upregulation of P-glycoprotein(P-gp).To address these limitations,we report a bacteria-based drug delivery strategy for BBB/BTB transportation,glioma targeting,and chemo-sensitization.Bacteria selectively colonized into hypoxic tumor region and modulated tumor microenvironment,including macrophages repolarization and neutrophils infiltration.Specifically,tumor migration of neutrophils was employed as hitchhiking delivery of doxorubicin(DOX)-loaded bacterial outer membrane vesicles(OMVs/DOX).By virtue of the surface pathogen-associated molecular patterns derived from native bacteria,OMVs/DOX could be selectively recognized by neutrophils,thus facilitating glioma targeted delivery of drug with significantly enhanced tumor accumulation by 18-fold as compared to the classical passive targeting effect.Moreover,the P-gp expression on tumor cells was silenced by bacteria typeⅢsecretion effector to sensitize the efficacy of DOX,resulting in complete tumor eradication with 100%survival of all treated mice.In addition,the colonized bacteria were finally cleared by anti-bacterial activity of DOX to minimize the potential infection risk,and cardiotoxicity of DOX was also avoided,achieving excellent compatibility.This work provides an efficient trans-BBB/BTB drug delivery strategy via cell hitchhiking for enhanced glioma therapy.Ze Mi Qing Yao Yan Qi Jinhai Zheng Jiahao Liu Zhenguo Liu Hongpei Tan Xiaoqian Ma Wenhu Zhou Pengfei Rong 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,2:1
