1Guidelines on common cold for Traditional Chinese Medicine based on pattern differentiation显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To establish the guidelines on common cold treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in terms of pattern identification. METHODS: The guidelines were formulated by using the basic patterns of common cold in ChinaPharmacopeia integrated with findings from systematic literature review and the experts' consensus on the issue in question. RESULTS: Common cold was divided into four patterns in the guidelines. The medications were recommended respectively: Ganmaoqingre granule for wind-cold exterior syndrome,Yinqiaojiedu granule for wind-heat exterior syndrome, Huoxiangzhengqi Wan for summer-heat dampness exterior syndrome and Shensu Wan for wind-cold exterior syndrome accompanied with Qi deficiency. CONCLUSION: The guidelines were primarily derived from the practice experience of TCM and the experts' consensus. The process was not strictly evidence-based because of lacking enough clinical studies. 2Self-sacrificial template synthesis of Fe, N co-doped porous carbon as efficient oxygen reduction electrocatalysts towards Zn-air battery application显示文摘Designing highly efficient non-precious based electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) is of significance for the rapid development of metal-air batteries.Herein,a hydrothermal-pyrolysis method is employed to fabricate Fe,N co-doped porous carbon materials as effective ORR electrocatalyst through adopting graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4)) as both the self-sacrificial templates and N sources.The gC_(3)N_(4)provides a high concentration of unsaturated pyridine-type N to coordinate with iron to form Fe-N active sites.Through adjusting the Fe doping amounts,it is proved that appropriate Fe doping content is conducive to the construction of abundant defects and active sites of Fe-N.The as-prepared catalyst exhibits superior electrocatalytic ORR performance in alkaline media with half-wave potential(E_(1/2)=0.82 V) and onset potential(E_(onset)=0.95 V),equivalent to the commercial Pt/C catalyst.Moreover,there is almost no activity loss after 10 k continuous cyclic voltammetry cycles and methanol tolerance,indicating the excellent durability and superior methanol tolerance.Remarkably,when assembled as the cathode in a Zn-air battery,the device displays a power density of 99 mW/cm^(2),an open-circuit potential of 1.48 V and long-term discharge-charge cycling stability,indicating the promising potential to substitute the Pt catalyst for practical application.Tianfang Yang Ye Chen Yang Liu Xupo Liu Shuyan Gao 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,4:1
3Degradation of differently processed Mg-based implants leads to distinct foreign body reactions(FBRs)through dissimilar signaling pathways显示文摘Mg alloys have mechanical properties compatible with human bones.However,their rapid degradation and associated foreign body reactions in vivo significantly limit their application for human implants.In this study,three differently processed Mg alloys,pure Mg(PM),cold extruded Mg alloy AZ31(CE AZ31),and fully annealed AZ31 Mg alloy(FA AZ31)were comparatively investigated for their potential as implants using a rat model.All three implanted Mg alloys do not show any impact on hepato-and renal function,nor any signs of observable changes to vital organs.Proteomics analysis of tissues directly contacting the implants 2.5 months post implantation revealed that FA AZ31 activates very few inflammation and immune associated signaling pathways;while the CE AZ31 and PM produce more significant inflammatory responses as confirmed by cytokine array analyses.Further,FA AZ31 activated pathways for cell organization and development that may improve the recovery of injured tissues.Structurally,EBSD analysis reveals that the FA AZ31 alloy has a higher ratio of first-order pyramidal orientated(10–11){10–1–2}grain texture with a value of 0.25,while PM and CE AZ31 alloys have lower ratios of first-order pyramidal orientated texture with the values of 0.16 and 0.17,respectively.This is associated with recovery and recrystallisation during annealing which promotes grain texture which exhibits enhanced degradation behaviours and induces a more limited immune response in vivo.In conclusion,the FA AZ31 demonstrated better biocompatibility and corrosion resistance and is a promising candidate for metal-based degradable implants which warrants further investigation.Xiaosong Liu Guoqiang Chen Xiongxiong Zhong Tianfang Wang Xiaohong He Weipeng Yuan Pingping Zhang Ying Liu Dongming Cao Shu Chen Ken-ichi Manabe Zhengyi Jiang Tsuyoshi Furushima Damon Kent Yang Chen Guoying Ni Mingyong Gao Hejie Li 2023Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,6:0
4Organic carboxylate-assisted engineering for fabricating Fe,N co-doped porous carbon interlinked carbon nanotubes towards boosting the oxygen reduction reaction for Zn-air batteries显示文摘Fe-N_x sites have been identified as core descriptors for Fe-N/C based oxygen reduction reaction catalysts.However, the low density and less utilization of Fe-Nxsites render these catalysts with inefficient catalytic performance. Herein, we develop an organic carboxylate-assisted engineering to construct Fe, N co-doped porous carbon interlinked carbon nanotubes(Fe/N-CCNTs) with high-density and sufficiently exposed FeNxsites based on self-catalyzed effect. The existing forms of Fe include Fe-imidazole configuration and coordination with unsaturated Zn sites via organic carboxylate as linkers, leading to high-density Fe-N_x sites after pyrolysis. Besides, hexatomic carbon rings of organic carboxylate lower cyclization energy barrier for CNT formation, resulting in CNTs interlinked with separated active sites through “active pointconductive line-active point” connections. The optimal sample(Fe-BOAc-PNC) exhibits the onset potential of 0.93 V(vs. RHE) and half-wave potential of 0.84 V in alkaline solution. The liquid-state Zn-air battery(ZAB) employing Fe-BOAc-PNC generates large power density(160 m W/cm^(2)) and stability over 160 h.Moreover, the assembled flexible ZAB displays superb power density of 93 m W/cm^(2) with robust flexibility. 5Assessment of traditional Chinese medicine pattern in a bleomycininduced pulmonary fibrosis mouse model: A pilot study显示文摘Objective:To initially explore traditional Chinese medicine patterns in a bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis mouse model.Methods:Thirty-six C57BL/6 mice were divided by the random number table method(with 12 rats per group)into three groups:a blank group,a model group,and a number 2 Feibi recipe(FBR-2)group.The pulmonary fibrosis mouse model was established by intratracheal instillation of bleomycin.The FBR-2 group was treated with FBR-2 for 4 weeks.Symptoms in the mice such as mental behavior,food/water intake,body weight,body temperature,respiratory rate,and tongue image were observed.The samples were collected on the 14th day and 28th day after modeling,and lung tissues were visually assessed and microscopically evaluated by staining with hematoxylin-eosin and Masson.The expression levels of hydroxyproline,interleukin(IL)-33,IL-37,tissue plasminogen activator,and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:Mice in the model group were poor in spirit,less active,slow in response,showed reduced food/water intake,body temperature,and body weight,increased respiratory rate,and their tongue color had changed from light red to dark red.However,treatment with FBR-2 significantly improved these symptoms.Extensive inflammatory cell infiltration and collagen fiber deposition were observed in the lung tissues of the model group.Compared with the blank group,the levels of hydroxyproline,IL-33,and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 in the model group significantly increased(all P<.05),whereas that of tissue plasminogen activator significantly decreased on the 14th day and 28th day(P=.036 and P=.005,respectively).Moreover,FBR-2 improved lung inflammation and fibrinolysis imbalance and reduced collagen fiber deposition.Conclusion:To some extent,our bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis mouse model exhibited traditional Chinese medicine patterns of qi deficiency,blood stasis,and heat retention.Xiaofeng Gu Wan Wei Zhaoheng Liu Fang Cao Zhisong Wu Jie Xie Tianfang Wang Yang Jiao 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2022,9,4:0
6Ordered mesoporous carbon fiber bundles with high-density and accessible Fe-NX active sites as efficient ORR catalysts for Zn-air batteries显示文摘Fe-NX/C electrocatalysts have aroused extensive interest in accelerating sluggish oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) kinetics as potential alternatives to platinum catalysts in rechargeable Zn-air batteries (ZABs).However,the low density and poor accessibility of Fe-NXsites have severely restricted the electrocatalytic performance of Fe-NX/C.Herein,Fe,N co-doped ordered mesoporous carbon fiber bundles are prepared through a ligand-assisted strategy with nitrogen-rich 1,10-phenanthroline as space isolation agent.1,10-Phenanthroline reveals a six-membered heterocyclic structure containing abundant nitrogen species to tightly coordinate with Fe ions,which is conducive to achieving high-density Fe-NXsites.Meanwhile,the adoption of SBA-15 as hard-templates enables the catalysts with highly ordered channels and large specific surface areas,improving the accessibility of Fe-NXsites.The optimal catalyst (PDA-Fe-900) demonstrates a positive half-wave potential of 0.84 V (vs.RHE) in alkaline solution,outperforming the commercial Pt/C (0.83 V).In addition,PDA-Fe-900 delivers comparable ORR performance to commercial Pt/C in acidic electrolyte.Impressively,when PDA-Fe-900 is employed as an air cathode,it achieves large power densities of 163.0 m W/cm^(2) in liquid-state ZAB and 116.6 m W/cm^(2) in the flexible solid-state ZAB.This work provides an efficient ligand-assisted pathway for fabricating catalysts with dense and accessible FeNXsites as high-performance ORR electrocatalysts for ZABs.Fengxian Zhang Xupo Liu Ye Chen Miao Tian Tianfang Yang Jing Zhang Shuyan Gao 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,10:0
