1SHRIMP U-Pb Dating of Zircons of a Dark Eclogite and a Garnet-bearing Gneissic Granitic Rock from Bixiling,Eastern Dabie Area,Anhui Province:Isotope Chronological Evidence of Neoproterozoic UHP Metamorphism显示文摘The paper reports SHRIMP U-Pb zircon data of a dark eclogite and a post-eclogite garnet-bearing gneissic granitic rock from the Bixiling area, Yuexi County, Anhui Province, in the eastern Dabie Mountains. The eclogite, which is metamorphosed basic tuff, contains very scarce zircons in omphacite or garnet, but more zircons in quartz. They usually exhibit a double-layered texture, as shown clearly in cathodoluminescence images. Their inner main parts give a 206Pb/238U age of 757±7 Ma, representing the approximate age of the high-pressure (HP)- ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) metamorphic event during which the eclogite was formed. The outer peripheral parts of the zircons, which have been modified by late-stage fluids, give an age of 223±3 Ma. The granitic rock contains more zircons of anatectic origin found mostly in feldspar and quartz and usually also showing a similar composite texture. 2Radial profile of sap flow velocity in mature Xinjiang poplar(Populus alba L. var. pyramidalis) in Northwest China显示文摘Estimation of the transpiration rate for a tree is generally based on sap flow measurements within the hydro-active stem xylem. In this study, radial variation of sap flow velocity(Js) was investigated at five depths of the xylem(1, 2, 3, 5 and 8 cm under the cambium) in three mature Xinjiang poplar(Populus alba L. var. pyramidalis) trees grown at the Gansu Minqin National Studies Station for Desert Steppe Ecosystem from May to October 2011. Thermal dissipation probes of various lengths manufactured according to the Granier's design were installed into each tree for simultaneous observation of the radial patterns of Js through the xylem. The radial patterns were found to fit the four-parameter GaussAmp equation. The peak Js was about 27.02±0.95 kg/(dm2?d) at approximately 3 to 5 cm deep from the cambium of the three trees,and the lowest Js appeared at 1 cm deep in most of the time. Approximately 50% of the total sap flow in Xinjiang poplar occurred within one-third of the xylem from its outer radius, whereas 90% of the total sap flow occurred within two-fifth of the xylem. In addition, the innermost point of the xylem(at 8-cm depth), which appeared as the penultimate sap flow in most cases during the study period, was hydro-active with Js,8 of 7.55±3.83 kg/(dm2?d). The radial pattern of Js was found to be steeper in midday than in other time of the day, and steeper diurnal fluctuations were recorded in June, July and August(the mid-growing season). Maximum differences between the lowest Js(Js,1 or Js,8) and the highest Js(Js,3 or Js,5) from May through October were 12.41, 17.35, 16.30, 18.52, 12.60 and 16.04 g/(cm2?h), respectively. The time-dependent changes of Js along the radial profile(except at 1-cm depth) were strongly related to the reference evapotranspiration(ET0). Due to significant radial variability of Js, the mean daily sap flow at the whole-tree level could be over-estimated by up to 29.69% when only a single probe at depth of 2 cm was used. 3Whole-rock Ar-Ar dating for low-grade metavolcanics within the Dabie orogen and its geological significance显示文摘The genetic relationship between low- grade and ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) metamorphic units in the interior of the Dabie orogen has been controversial with respect to preservation of volcanic texture during continental subduction to mantle depths. In order to resolve this issue, whole-rock Ar-Ar dating was carried out for greenschist-facies metatuff that is in contact with UHP eclogite in Yuexi County, Anhui Province. One sample gave a plateau age of 784.4±2.0 Ma and an isochron age of 785.0± 4.7 Ma, and the other sample a plateau age of 770.9± 2.0 Ma and an isochron age of 769.5±3.1 Ma. It ap- pears that the Ar isotopic system was not disturbed since the volcanic eruption at the middle Neopro- terozoic. Because of the low closure temperature of Ar diffusion in volcanic rocks, retention of the Neo- proterozoic ages indicates that the low-grade metavolcanics did not experience high-grade meta- morphism up to eclogite-facies conditions during the Triassic subduction of continental crust. Furthermore, the Neoproterozoic Ar-Ar ages are also in agreement with protolith ages of UHP metaigneous rocks in the Dabie orogen. Therefore, the metatuff is interpreted as a tectonic relict that was scraped off during the Triassic subduction and thus was not subducted to mantle depths like the adjacent eclogite. This lends support to the model for crustal detachment between cover and basement during continental collision. 4Preparation of MnO2 decorated Co3Fe1Ox powder/monolithic catalyst with improved catalytic activity for toluene oxidation显示文摘In this paper, KMnO4 was used to pre-treat Co3 Fe-layered double hydroxides(LDH) precursor to prepare MnO2 decorated Co3Fe1Ox catalyst. The toluene oxidation performance of the catalyst was investigated systematically. The optimized 0.1 Mn CF-LDO catalyst exhibited the best catalytic performance, and the temperatures of 50% and 90% toluene conversion( T50 and T90) were 218 and 243 ℃, respectively. The apparent activation energy( Ea) was 31.6 k J/mol. The characterization results showed that the pre-redox reaction by KMnO4 could increase the specific surface area, Co^3+ species amount and oxygen defect concentration of the catalyst, which are the main reason of the improved toluene catalytic activity. Besides, this method was also applied to enhance toluene oxidation of iron mesh based monolithic catalyst. The 0.1 Mn CF-LDO/Iron mesh(IM) catalyst showed a 90% toluene conversion at around 316 ℃ which was much lower than that of without MnO2 addition(359 ℃). In addition, the water resistant of all the catalysts was studied as well, all the samples showed relatively good water resistance. 5Sedimentary Facies, Provenance and Geochronology of the Heshangzhen Group: Implications for the Tectonic Evolution of the Eastern Jiangnan Orogen, South China显示文摘The Neoproterozoic Jiangnan orogen plays an important role in the study of the Precambrian tectonic evolution of South China. The tectonic nature of the Neoproterozoic sedimentary basins is still controversial, due to poor understanding of the sedimentary sequences and the lack of geochronological data. Here, we present sedimentological, provenance and geochronological data from the Heshangzhen Group in the eastern Jiangnan orogen. Sedimentological analysis shows that the Luojiamen Formation was deposited in a submarine fan, and the overlying Hongchicun Formation was deposited in front of a fan delta. The youngest detrital zircons constrain the lower Luojiamen and Hongchicun formations with ages of 827.3 ± 8.4 Ma and 825 ± 12 Ma, respectively. The sandstones of the Luojiamen Formation are characterized by a large number of intermediate to felsic volcanic grains, suggesting a volcanic arc source. In contrast, quartz and sedimentary lithic grains increase in the Hongchicun Formation, showing a new input from a collisional orogenic source. Detrital zircon from six sandstone samples in the Luojiamen and Hongchicun formations yield similar age spectra of 930–820 Ma with a peak at ca. 845–860 Ma, with one main cluster at 930–820 Ma. Detrital zircons of 930–845 Ma show a positive value of εHf(t)(+2.4 to +11, mean +7.6), which is similar to the volcanic arc of the nearby Shuangxiwu Group. There are a minor group of zircons with U-Pb ages ranging from 820 Ma to 845 Ma from the middle part of the Luojiamen Formation and Hongchicun Formation, with εHf(t) values between-20 to +2.4, which are consistent with the characteristics of the Shuangqiaoshan Group. within light of the bidirectional paleocurrents in the Luojiamen Formation, it is speculated that the zircons of 820–845 Ma were recycled from the Shuangqiaoshan Group, which is derived from a continental arc to the northwest. Our data suggests that the Luojiamen Formation was formed in an inter-arc basin, while the Hongchicun Formation was formed in an accretionary wedge-top basin. When juxtaposed with the conglomeratic characteristics at the bottom of the Luojiamen Formation, it is believed that the unconformity represented by the ‘Shen Gong Movement' reflects the rapid erosion and accumulation process of island arc volcanic material. 17Synergy of phosphorus vacancies and build-in electric field into NiCo/NiCoP Mott-Schottky integrated electrode for enhanced water splitting performance显示文摘Vacancy engineering and Mott-Schottky heterostructure can accelerate charge transfer,regulate adsorption energy of reaction intermediates,and provide additional active sites,which are regarded as valid means for improving catalytic activity.However,the underlying mechanism of synergistic regulation of interfacial charge transfer and optimization of electrocatalytic activity by combining vacancy and Mott-Schottky junction remains unclear.Herein,the growth of a bifunctional NiCo/NiCoP Mott-Schottky electrode with abundant phosphorus vacancies on foam nickel(NF)has been synthesized through continuous phosphating and reduction processes.The obtained NiCo/NiCoP heterojunctions show remarkable OER and HER activities,and the overpotentials for OER and HER are as low as 117 and 60 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2) in 1 mol/L KOH,respectively.Moreover,as both the cathode and anode of overall water splitting,the voltage of the bifunctional NiCo/NiCoP electrocatalyst is 1.44 V at 10 mA/cm^(2),which are far exceeding the benchmark commercial electrodes.DFT theoretical calculation results confirm that the phosphorus vacancies and build-in electric field can effectively accelerate ion and electron transfer between NiCo alloy and NiCoP semiconductor,tailor the electronic structure of the metal centers and lower the Gibbs free energy of the intermediates.Furthermore,the unique self-supported integrated structure is beneficial to facilitate the exposure of the active site,avoid catalyst shedding,thus improving the activity and structural stability of NiCo/NiCoP.This study provides an avenue for the controllable synthesis and performance optimization of Mott-Schottky electrocatalysts.Xiaochen Zhang Hui Xue Jing Sun Niankun Guo Tianshan Song Jiawen Sun Yi-Ru Hao Qin Wang 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2:0
18Interfacial charge redistribution to promote the catalytic activity of Vs-CoP-CoS_(2)/C n-n heterojunction for oxygen evolution显示文摘Modulating surface charge redistribution based on interface and defect engineering has been considered as a resultful means to boost electrocatalytic activity.However,the mechanism of synergistic regulation of heterojunction and vacancy defects remains unclear.Herein,a Vs-CoP-CoS_(2)/C n-n heterojunction with sulfur vacancies is successfully constructed,which manifests superior electrocatalytic activity for oxygen evolution,as demonstrated by a low overpotential of 170 mV to reach 10 mA/cm^(2).The experimental results and density functional theory calculations testify that the outstanding OER performance of Vs-CoP-CoS_(2)/C heterojunction is owed to the synergistic effect of sulfur vacancies and built-in electric field at n-n heterogeneous interface,which accelerates the electron transfer,induces the charge redistribution,and regulates the adsorption energy of active intermediates during the reaction.This study affords a promising means to regulate the electrocatalytic performance by the construction of heterogeneous interfaces and defects,and in-depth explores the synergistic mechanisms of n-n heterojunction and vacancies.Jiawen Sun Hui Xue Jing Sun Niankun Guo Tianshan Song Yi-Ru Hao Qin Wang 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2:0
19Co-Construction of Sulfur Vacancies and Heterogeneous Interface into Ni_(3)S_(2)/MoS_(2) Catalysts to Achieve Highly Efficient Overall Water Splitting显示文摘Integrating the advantages of anion vacancies and heterostructures into the catalytic materials may increase the binding affinities to intermediates, provide more active sites, and significantly promote the activity of overall water splitting. However, the successful assembly of anion vacancies and heterostructures for high-efficiency water splitting performance is still challenging. In this work, we ingeniously present the co-construction of sulfur vacancies and heterogeneous interface into Ni_(3)S_(2)/MoS_(2) catalysts on nickel foam(NF). The introduction of sulfur vacancies and Ni_(3)S_(2)/MoS_(2) heterostructures can significantly improve electron and ion transport, effectively improve structural stability, and enhance overall water splitting activity. The obtained VSNi_(3)S_(2)/MoS_(2) catalysts(VS stands for sulfur vacancies) exhibit superior OER and HER activities,and the overpotentials for OER and HER are 180 and 71 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2), respectively. Furthermore, a low water splitting voltage of 1.46 V is required at 10 mA·cm^(-2) for the VS-Ni_(3)S_(2)/MoS_(2) catalysts, which is considerably lower than most that of water splitting electrocatalysts currently reported.
